Don't have too much experiences with kbbq but i think the meat was pretty plain. I did enjoy the little dishes that came although the meat needs work. It was also a bit overcooked, the lady cooking seemed to have forgotten about us and we ended up taking the meat off ourselves

r.j. Pinkerton

Really great tasty and authentic korean food. If you do go (i highly recommend you do) remember the dishes that are marked are spicy are really spicy! But do not worry they they serve it with small dishes of side dishes to help you cool off. The items are cabbage kimche, cucumber kimche, stir fried broccoli and green bean. They were all delicious. As an entree as had the spicy stir fried squid it was excellent. The barbeque chicken was also excellent. Everything was great.

Charlene Windham

This place is amazing! The food was absolutely delicious, and OMG, they served us so many free appetizers before hand that we had plenty of food left over to take home. This is my favorite restaurant of all time! And the cherry on the cake was just how inexpensive our bill was. ($28.00 for 2 dinners and that included tax and tip!) Great value for the excellent food and service we received.

Trevor Roy

Had barbecue and soju, tasty banchan, and the meats were tender and flavorful (short rib and marinated pork)

BJ L

Family friendly!

This place is great. The food is always good.

Jae Brochu

I have been assured that this is the best Korean restaurant in Philadelphia. Not being from the city, I have to take my friend's word on it, but it is very good. Authentic menu, good Korean drinks available, and plenty of parking.

Michael Li

Have been coming to this restaurant for the last 6 years. I typically order the cold noodles. My girlfriend, who always orders the soon dubu, says that so far, of all of the Korean restaurants that she has been to, the food here is closest to food in Korea. Friendly staff and delicious sides to top it off.

Lovin this place. I go exclusively here for my korean bbq. Other korean bbq places usually have service that is sub par, to the point where some will ignore you. The service here is excellent and the bbq is well seasoned. The seafood pancake is one of the best to eat as well. Will be back again and again.

Great experience

The food was 5 star. Giving it 3 star because the service was not good. We were seated immediately. Five minutes later the server wanted to take our order which was way too soon since it was our first visit and there's a lot on the menu. We never saw the server again and 20 minutes later a woman who worked there answered our questions and took our order. My husband's food arrived but mine didn't so I had to ask for it again. The food was delicious, authentic Korean. Now it's time to pay and leave and it took 15 mins to find someone to give us the check. My husband decided to pay with cash to avoid having to wait forever for a credit card transaction. Do you believe there was no one to take the cash? It's true. We left cash and tip on the table and left the restaurant. I'd go back again but not sure my husband will. I believe in second chances and the food was worth it. They really need to improve their service though.

Justin Lam

The food is really good. The service is only okay, it'll take a few times of asking to get what you want. On my last visit the waitress tried really hard to kick us out before closing. Not too sure why when there were still a bunch of people still eating in the main area. In the end, our party left at closing time (10:59pm) which I didn't see as an issue compared to the others who stayed later.

Delani Neal

It was awesome. Especially as my first time with kbbq. There was a wide array of banchan and everything was well seasoned, and fresh. Loved it.

Gbemileke Omotoyinbo

Amazing food, amazing service, friendly atmosphere. A great place for dinner with friends or the family or a significant other and even birthdays. Bon apetite!!!

Butch Dunn

Average prices for a Korean restaurant. Was undeniably the worst Korean meal we have ever had. Side dishes were all bland. The appitizer showed up 2 min. before the meal and the pancake was tasteless. Had the kimchi and pork, no flavor or spice. Wife had the monk soup and was equally disappointed. We took NO leftovers home, that is how bad it was. Service was medioce at best. Save your money, many other Korean restaurants in Philly. Saw a non-Korean in a white coat come out of the kitchen, maybe that explains the awful meal.

Jou Her

Amazing food! The place is an amazing place and the prices of the food are reasonable. We didn't get to try the Korean BBQ but it smelled and looked great. We had a few dishes and we were very happy with it. The portions of food are huge and pretty big. This place is just as good as advertised!

Andrea Dressner

A bit pricey but everything was DELICIOUS! Worth the price. Best Jap Chae I've had. Other dishes were equally delicious. My daughter, who is a fussy eater, had the Beef Fried Rice and loved every bite of it. Best fried rice she's ever eaten. This was our first time and we cannot wait to go again!

Eddy Kizzane

...Our waiter Eric made our first experience a great one!!!

Jessica Simmons

This was our first time and not our last. The food was fantastic but the service was out of this world. Great date night!

Food is soooo good! Wanted to go to a Korean restaurant for the first time, after some research we picked this one. We loved it! Food was so good and flavorful; server was really kind, helpful and took the time to answer all our questions. Will definitely visit again...soon!

Benoit Kim

Absolutely the best Korean BBQ place in all of Philly. The portion is generous and plenty of amazing side dishes as well.

Anjelika Melnikova

Dirty inside, not friendly personal, food is good

Soetji Anto

Food is good. The barbecue is a bit overpriced for the portion served. The grill is ideal for 2 to 4 people per table. We had six people and only those who sat in the middle could reach the grill. Also the grill wasn't hot enough. The waitress was ok. She didn't check back on us so we had to constantly ask for stuff. We had to ask even for rice and drink.

Hai Lam

Best korean bbq in philly

mark jones

The original, still the best.

IAmDavid

I love the food here. Unfortunately, the service isn't great. Sometimes when waiting to order the staff walks by and completely ignores me for whatever reason.

Sushi is okay, don't bother ordering kbbq if you got seated with a table with an electric grill. Service is disappointing for the money you pay.

David Roberts

A wonderful experience. My first time eating Korean Food and it was delicious. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you are in the area I highly recommend this restaurant.

Izzy Kaufman

Oh my god. I don't know where to start! This place is fantastic. The sashimi is so fresh and melts in your mouth. Kimchi jigae was soo spicy and delicious and the ban chan were included with the meal were well balanced. Service was perfect. It's no frills Korean food.

Timothy Day

Authentic Korean food served family style. Good place to go with a group. It's not particularly tidy or nice, but it's a good time.

Brendan Jobin

This place is awesome! Some of the best food in Philadelphia! Highly recommend.

Kwak Family

Good food and very good service!

Lou Cue

If it wasn't for the bus boy we wouldn't have gotten served, despite ringing the button a kajillion times. Food was amazing tho

paul kim

I'd recommend this place if you're in the area since it's pretty good compared to other places in the area except for one other place but I shouldn't name places since I'm writing for this place. Good luck.

D kim

The restaurant has been here forever. Food is really good. Service is great.

Freedman Morse

They told us about their happy hours when we arrived at past 10pm that Friday. They gave us lots of water plus hot barley tea. I picked up 2 plates of chicken plus a small dumpling place. Everything is good. I had the spiciest chicken meal there, which I thankfully finished. I also had their General Cho's chicken, which to my mind is the best version of this popular meal. Service was excellent!

Vincent Yang

Barbeque is good. Everything else is okay.

Lucy Narnia

As always, they are very friendly and serve great food. They also served complimentary Korean pancake that is really delicious!

Young Lee

Great korean food place

Keith Sim

The best authentic Korean restaurant to date in Philly, 2nd to none....

Nikki B

The service here is always great. The food is SO DELICIOUS! Whether you love Korean food or never tried it before.... This is the BEST Korean spot in Philly. Everyone must try!!

Rosalind Chang

Good food in general. Seafood pancake is good but too soggy to my liking.

Ali Shahbaz

Best kbbq I have had in the philly area. Its def $$ and not all you can eat but the staff is really nice and fast. Also im convinced their strat is "Here from the chef on us for you to try" to get higher tips...but I dont mind because the service / food is good enough to deserve it anyways.

Premium Kitchen and bath LLC

It is OK. But they staff can be better.

Alexandra Lee

I've been here multiple times, good place for larger groups. The seafood pancake is a must. Probably one of my favorite things. Good food, decent service.

Adan Rosario

Awesome

johannes atmadja

Good food, good service

This is a gem. Please do not mistake this restaurant as bad because of the surrounding area. I was a little surprised by the chosen location myself. The food is so good and brings a lot of comfort to my heart after moving back to the US, after living in S. Korea for 5 years. I miss Korea, especially the food. True Korean food takes time and a lot of effort especially with exceptionally aged or fermented ingredients. I would recommend this place to anyone. Check out their website we got a free coupon for a seafood pancake! Even our two year old daughter loved it! Staff is kind and considerate and truly try to make sure you have a great experience. In any culture having English as your second language is never easy. Be patient and loving to the staff because they are amazing!

Su-Yen Pantin

Friendly staff great food

Antoinette Smith

Great food. Good service! Left full and Happy!

Iggy Deez

Amazing delicious authentic Korean food. Service is so so but again the food is out of this world. I definitely recommend this place.

Ebonie Harrison

It was my first Korean experience!! I have to say it was interesting and delicious

greenacidfusion

Great food as always. Sexy ass Korean girls serving me the finest kalbi and bulgogi. You guys could use a wider Korean beer selection.

Jay Shin

Been going here since the 80s when I lived there. Current management is doing a great job incorporating sushi which is top notch especially when they have one day market fishes that are not standard fare like uni and giant surf clam. Full gamut of traditional stews all home style and Korean BBQ. Something for everyone.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Staff, as always, is incredibly friendly and attentive to your needs. If you're ever stuck without being able to find a waitress or waiter, simply press the bell at the end of the table to notify them. ATMOSPHERE: Traditional Korean restaurant, not a modern decor, but reminds me of what Korean restaurants were like back in the day. I enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere though and wouldn't change a thing about the design! My only suggestion would be the restroom could use a bit of renovation, it's a bit dated and could benefit from some freshening up with new tiles and lighting. VALUE: Compared to other Korean restaurants in the Philly area, Seorabol is probably priced on the higher end. It's certainly not the cheapest, but for the degree of execution on the food, I believe it's worth it. It's definitely not priced like a place you'd go for every meal of the day, but you certainly do receive what you pay for! As examples, galbi tang (short rib soup/stew) is about $16-18 and a serving of bbq galbi for two people would be about $35. EATS: Delicious! I know they don't specialize in soon dubu, but man...their soon dubu (tofu stew) is on point! They're haemul pajeong (Korean seafood pancake) is made perfectly with a crispy outer coating with a chewy interior. Their meats also taste fresh and is a must to try, go for the galbi (Korean short ribs), you won't be disappointed. OVERALL: Highly recommend trying this place out if you haven't been yet! I'm not a frequent customer, but I certainly look forward to it each time I visit!

Jason Leung

Great food and unique place to eat at.

D kim

The restaurant has been here forever. Food is really good. Service is great.

Ken Liang

Been here many times. Great food. Always love their free food after we order

Malek Hudson

This is the best place on Earth.

Midamulti

Food was great and the workers seem to be hustling. Food was a tiny bit pricey for the amount of food though

Arlena Diep

Clyde and his crew made my aunt's birthday a very memorable night! This is one of our favorite places to go to celebrate life, birthdays & graduations. The side dishes are so tasty and the entrees are even better. Clyde and his crew were on point tonight, he cooked the meat for us, kept our pitchers filled with water or hot tea, we didn't have to ask for our side dishes to be replenish, he also made the initiative to put the birthday cake in a safe cold spot during dinner, & the list goes on. Thank you for making this a wonderful surprise birthday celebration. See you soon! I recommend this restaurant for tourists and locals!

Paul McDaniels

Great food. Service was friendly and quick. Very helpful with great suggestions.

Dejay Gwak

That restaurant is a very good Korean restaurant. But it's a little expensive.

Patricia Sharif

Food is delicious!!

David Wechsler

Very good food. Service is good, not great.

jessica santiago

The food here is delicious!

Michael Nghe

Wonderful place! Walked in and immediately admired their attempt to keep a less modern theme of the restaurant, a more nature theme than modern. The staff was nice as expected. The pottery may seem insignificant, but, it's one of the few things that really caught my attention. Both the plates and cups felt smooth on the finger tips and the color wasn't bad for the eyes. Due to the thickness of the cup, it was much easier to hold your delicious hot tea than waiting a bit longer to hold and warm your hands. The main dishes are always good and it was amazing to discover that the small, delicious side dishes they initially provide you had unlimited refills!

Nina Cohen

This place has amazing food. It was delicious. However, the past reviews of poor service were too true. They did not come over to check on us. We hit the call button several times. The bus boy was amazing though. Helped us out with what we needed. When we rang for the service it seemed like they sent him over. We made sure to give him a great tip.

Carolinn King

This is one of Philly's best kept secrets for Korean BBQ! Excellent food and service.

Hannah Yoon

They give you big portions. I don’t know if the dinner prices are worth it but lunch specials are worth it

Freedman Morse

They told us about their happy hours when we arrived at past 10pm that Friday. They gave us lots of water plus hot barley tea. I picked up 2 plates of chicken plus a small dumpling place. Great experience here. Diamond in the rough. It would be easy to miss this place. The food is delicious. I have yet to try everything, but I will be coming back for sure.

Katie Haith

Stopped by this restaurant after landing at PHI as it is open late. Unfortunately they do not let you sit at an open grill unless you order two grill items. I would understand, if they were very busy but arriving at 9pm on a Tuesday, they were not. I was seated at a non grill table and they cooked my meat in the back. It just was not the experience I was looking for. The food was good and there were a few side dishes offered I had not had before. The radish fish stew side was very tasty. The establishment has a whole in the wall vibe which I do enjoy but it was a bit unkept. Best to not use the restroom where the decorations are caked in dust and there is a small hole in the drywall. it could use a deep cleaning along with the rest of the place.

Liz Mcdevitt

Great place for traditional Chinese and Korean food. I highly recommend going and trying the hot pot and BBQ. It's a bit on the pricey side but with the free pickled vegetables, the attentive staff and the atmosphere, I highly recommend Seorabol!

Alan Panek

Best Korean restaurant in the Philadelphia area.

John C

Good food, but pricey

Kirsten Houseknecht

Great selection, authentic foods.

Larry Rogers

The food was a bit above average so it got a 1 rather than a 0. The restaurant was about 1/3 full at its peak, we ordered and waited 40 minutes before we started asking the waiter. He explained that the 6 person table had ordered special food. Twenty five minutes later came our main course but not the appetizers. They came about 20 minutes into the meal. I voiced my displeasure with the owner (manager). He made no adjustments nor did he send overs courtesy desert. Unhappy

Sharon Barnes

If you like korean food and seafood and a different dining experience you have to check out this restaurant, the food is fantastic, a little pricey, but you get your monies worth, and they fix your food in front of you.

Raw Truth

Here you can- Dine with friends or family, small groups or large groups at the traditional Korean BBQ table cookers. Family friendly, traditional, and accommodates large groups pretty well, yet not ideal for solo eaters. Located in Olney, in a mini strip mall with plenty of free parking in the parking lot! Its definitely a traditional Korean BBQ Table restaurant with heavy family vibes. Korean channels playing on all the TV screens gives it a sports like vibe in a family setting. Note- If you're not Korean, you may be one of the only non Korean or non Asian there. So I guess it's traditional. My ratings are based on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. With 1 being tragic and 5 Ouuww Terrific! Overall ratings- 4 stars ( making space more comfortable for a solo dinner would make it 5 star. However, it's still far the best Korean restaurant in Olney, which is chalk full of traditional Korean BBQ table restaurants, so that's huge! Food Taste ( I only get the hot pots)- 5 star! The SoonDuBu Jigae ( Korean Spicy Soft Tufu Stew) is the absolute bizzzness yeezus! Perfect for a rainy day! Oouuwwww.... Food portions- 5 star. Pretty great portions for price. Customer service- 4 star Ambiance- 4 star but great for families. Cleanliness- 4.5 star Decor- 4 star . Not fancy but still functional traditional. Cool thing- you still get all the sides and condiments spread with any dine in order. Tip- They are also on ubereats. Every thing is packaged and pack beautifully for ubereats order. 5 star on that end! Alot of thought and care goes into it!

Pat Law

Loved the food and service

Jackie S Yoon

I had a lunch there with Sashimi Deluxe and Gimchi stew. Sashimi was fresh. However the others were very disappointing. Staffs were nice.

Jordan Singer

Very nice staff, bbq was delicious and the meats were great

Andrew Williams

Very authentic experience. Food was great. Staff was very helpful. Great for groups of 6 or less.

James Baek

Great korean food, decor, and hospitality! They also provided us a korean pancake free of charge. Would definitely recommend if you want to try korean food.

Marely perez

For starters my favorite food belongs to the Korean culture when I went with my family we ate absolutely everything it is not like those all you can eat buffet when we don't eat all of what we got. Secondly my sisters don't really much eat a lot but when we went here that came out full ate so much we would rather go there instead of a buffet

Joe G

We went here with a Korean friend who knew the food and what to order. It was fantastic. I like spicy foods, my wife does not, so we ordered an assortment of side dishes to go with the beef that was cooked by our server at the table. We also had an assortment of other dishes - an incredible egg souffle, a beef tartar-like dish and a delicious soup. If you enjoy Korean food, or are looking for something new to try, this place is worth visiting.

Jen Park

Best Korean BBQ!

Jen Zangrilli

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on our 3 yr anniversary. We like trying new places to eat and different genres. This was our first time eating Korean BBQ and the wait staff was friendly and patient with us. They took the time to explain the dishes and make great suggestions for us first timers. The food was excellent. We tried the bibimbap (dobsot) and galbi gui bbq. Both dishes tasted fantastic and we will definitely be back.

Ernesto Tejada

Classic Korean BBQ restaurant, However they do a great job cooking it. It can get a tad expensive depending on what you get. My family is looking forward to coming here again

SoBeItFTW

Great atmosphere. Great food. Service could be better though.

Nana Tea

A lots of changes I don’t like feel like I’m getting for what I’m paying for anymore. Use to go to this restaurant very so often for over 10 years but I don’t think I’ll be returning. They’re so cheap with their side dishes and prices went up and theirs staff needed some training the host is an English speaker but could be a bit less ignorant. The restaurant is attracting new customers but an old loyal customer like me will not come backs the food is not the same as before.

Hannah Worth

Great experience here. Diamond in the rough. It would be easy to miss this place. The food is delicious. I have yet to try everything, but I will be coming back for sure.

Becky Ray

I love Korean food and this place dis not disappoint.

Great food

vickygavs

The best place I've found in Philly for Korean BBQ. They have great banchan and everything is very fresh and prepared well.

Alex Goldberg

The customer service is atrocious. I called in to check when an order would be ready, for an order that was already placed, and the manager told me that he doesn't know and that he's too busy to check. I didn't know it was the manager, so I asked for one, and he wasn't even apologetic when I told him I need to speak with a supervisor. It's apparent that they don't care about the customer. They just want to get orders in and out, while complaining when someone wants to know when food that was paid for would be ready. Horrible experience.

Eduardo Rodriguez

Definitely a superb ambient, you'll feel like in a foreign country. This place is nice & the people will treat you with respect. But, pay attention to what you order because the menu is not easy to understand. Overall a good experience.

Alek Bronshteyn

The food is good, many Koreans were there - a good sign for Korean restaurant :) The middle row seats are a little uncomfortable, so try to avoid sitting in that row.

So good I couldn't stop myself

Great Korean BBQ! It's grown very popular over the years so it's perpetually crowded. Still, service is excellent.

Lana Marcucio

This place was good. We came early because of the kids and we made reservations. Parking was easy in the lot. The food was good too.

Anh Vongbandith

Great food and service as always. My battery wouldn't start on my car and not only server seen, he called the manager and owner to help. They all tried for over an hour and even gave us complimentary drinks while we waited for roadside assistance. Can't ask for a better caring set of people.

Mary Ogubehi

The food here is so good! Never been disappointed with my meals. My favorite is the kimchi fried rice.

Be ready to shell out money

Ryan Weiss

Great food and great service!

Jim Lai

This was my first experience at a Korean BBQ restaurant. I've had it at my friends' places before and made some myself, but this restaurant's marinade is top notch and tasty. Not only did they come out at the perfect time with a new grill plate, but the waiters/waitresses checked up on us a perfect amount. The atmosphere is great for conversation and I would definitely come again if I'm in the area.

Azalia Graham

We had beef (short ribs) and chicken and the sushi roll with tempura shrimp. Everything was good. I've had better kimchi. Waiters were attentive, however they did not what all of the fixing were that came with the Korean barbque.

Barbara Harwood

Wonderful food and atmosphere..first time with new people..learned how to eat Korean style

Moody

Tasted great! Staff was very friendly. A little expensive though

malikah bey

the sushi is really good. I had the California roll and American dream roll. they're not at too bad of a price either tbh. I wish the portions were a little larger because at other sushi places I get a little more than what they give me but I was satisfied with the food!

DeJay Gwak

the best Korean restaurant

HJ C

Here's why I give Serabol 5 stars: the Korean omakase. Just do it. Amazing array of fresh fish, surprising dishes and you'll come away feeling very satisfied!

Mike Kim

They served side dishes that were already half eaten.

Sam Cohen

Real charcoal grills make this place the best Korean restaurant in Philly. In addition to great barbecue the hot pots are wonderful. 1 star lost for decor.

Sheila Shaulis

Best Korean barbecue! They have the grills at the table and the food is amazing. It’s our favorite family restaurant. The portion sizes are generous and the service is excellent.

P O

I went to Seorabol last night. During a Nor' easter my friend and I used Uber Eats to try and find an open restaurant since google maps didn't accurately show the open restaurants. We found Seorabol....one of the best experiences of my life! Chris the Head Chef had sent all the servers home and was serving with the help of his Sushi Chef and one Server he gave me and my friend one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. Outgoing, charismatic, well spoken, funny, and someone who should be working in the front of the house and not in the kitchen. To top it off we had pork belly cooked for us at the table with 10 other side dishes to compliment the pork. So many flavors and so many memories the food and experience is amazing! I feel so lucky to have found this hidden gem in Philly. If you have the chance please go hangout with Chris and his incredible staff. This is coming from a guy who doesn't write reviews but this was a once in a life time experience. Smiles and memories. Thanks to Chris and the staff of Seorabol. 5 out of 5

I used to love this restaurant but Unfortunately the food doesn't taste as good as before. There were a lot of changes in their Korean side dishes now they are more Americanize "hot dogs" fried sweet potatoes"... and the tofu soup is too oily and not enough spicy flavor.

The meat was really bland.. service was okay. Overall experience was okay.

We enjoyed this restaurant very much. Good service, friendly & helpful. Love the wide selection of food. Sushi was good, my bipimbop was good. The seafood stew was good. Lovely place filled with Koreans so you know its authentic & good.

Really great BBQ, spicy pork and galbi were great!

Authentic Korean food that is cooked well and served relatively quickly. They are one of the few places that still use charcoal at the table grill instead of infrared or electric heat. Not the cheapest meal but the quality is high and there are a ton of bonchon (side dishes) no matter what you order. Decor is traditional and the staff is attentive. I never feel rushed and always enjoy my meals there. As a side note, I have been coming here for over 20 years and my family has rented the private rooms for parties and birthdays.

Brian was my server. I will be back. He was HILARIOUS and super knowledgeable about everything my family and I ordered. The food was great, although the soy bean paste was a little on the salty side. (We had the BBQ) All in all I had a great experience here. Brian knew my name and because it was my birthday he even brought me their rainbow roll(sushi). He also knew my uncle's name(But this is a bad thing. He was acting immature and I hated it.). But on a good note, I WILL return.
