We just had a dinner at Piccolo and the restaurant never fails to provide us with an amazing experience. The food is top notch and the portions are large. They have the best fried calamari around. We tried a few of the specials and they were all very good. We also tried their Brooklyn Pizza and it as very tasty and now I want to go back for more. The owner was there and he came to check how things were which was a really nice touch. A great choice in the Newtown area.

I have enjoyed myself each time I have gone. We drive past several other numerous Italian restaurants to come here. The house salad with balsamic vinaigrette is delicious. The pasta dishes have been quite good. The only dish that under performed was the Shrimp, scallops, portobellos, Sherry wine cream sauce. The shrimp had an old flavor and the scallops a bit chewy. I took a chance but not really fresh seafood is chancy. However, the Calamari was properly cooked.

The food is great, the staff is horrible and nasty. Doesn’t matter which one you go to Newtown or Doylestown. It’s the same thing, like I’m sick of it. I love the food but hate the service they always have smart remarks to say or side comments with the other staff. Now the people that serve the water and the bread should be waiters because they are much nicer. I feel uncomfortable every time I go into these two restaurants. It’s sad because I love the food but it’s just unacceptable. The owner is a great guy though.

Excellent local restaurant in Newtown near Acme, Staples. BYOB! We forgot about the BYOB part, but had Brooklyn style pizza and chicken parmesan. Both were super sized. We brought home food for entire next day. We will be ordering pizza from here from now on for take out.

Great food! Lovely atmosphere for late lunch and dinner. The serving size is quite big a great for sharing. The Trattoria is located in a convenient location with large parking space. Truly a hidden gem!

Hit or miss at this place. Is close by, so we go from time to time. Had some really good meals & some not so good ones. Staff is friendly and service is very attentive. 3 & a half stars!

Great food and love their chocolate covered strawberries. We were regular customers of their pizzas since my husband loves their cheesesteak pizza. On our last visit, the waitress told us that normally the dining room is for non pizza orders but they'll make a one time exception this time. We never heard of that before considering we ordered pizza in the dine in restaurant before. Needless to say, we haven't been back since.

The food was excellent and delicious. Give this place a try you'll love it. For dessert I ordered peanut butter bomb it was out of this world.

Ordered around 7 PM on a Friday night. I get that it's a busy time, but don't say that it will take 30 minutes to make a plain pizza, and then I show up only to wait another 20 and counting. The people behind the counter don't know what's going on with each person who walks in to pick up food. It's as if I was forgotten. Any other pizza place in town has it ready in a reasonable time and they are just as busy. I then get acknowledged and asked "did you order here?" Yes I did and I paid for it when I walked in. Took 50 minutes for a simple pizza, come on

Very good Italian food. Had the angel hair with crab meat and it was delicious. Also had the grilled octopus which I loved. The service was real good also. Kept on asking if we needed anything.

Pretty good, although was super busy tonight and took a while for our food to come out. Some of the meals seemed way over cooked, probably from sitting under heat lamps for too long. Good customer service though as they came out and asked to make something else or take items off our bill. Never had an empty water glass, and quick to clean the table.

Some of the pizza is a bit weird-tasting. So far, a third were negative experiences. The thin crust pizza is too pricey, compared to the same price for giant slices with more on them. Custom made gluten free is delicious. Anything ordered custom is always good. Slices are the ones that are hit or miss. They messed up a couple of orders, but I will continue going. Atmosphere is relaxing, overall. Staff is nice.

So nice! A little live trio playing music, great food! Very knowledge waiter. I had something I love from there the quatro formaggio individual pizza. On the specials we're some much fancier things so you could feed everyone from the small child to the gourmet in the family!

Very personable and accommodating staff. Extremely friendly. Sadly, the food was just okay. I had a strangely named dish that was veal and crabmeat in s brandy cream sauce the waiter assuredr was so delicious no one didn't love it. Count me in the minority. Way too much cream, very heavy. The appetizers were delicious. The grilled veggies in balsamic vinegar were so yum, the portobello mushroom was the best I have had, the calamari was just right. Maybe next time we stick to the apps

Not authentic Italian. And it's not accurate to claim otherwise. Just because everything is made there on the spot, does not mean the food components by their own are quality. I see the commercial food trucks going in and out of the place all the time. It's a typical suburban restaurant.

The location looks very fancy, and definitely screams "upscale," but I can't say that I was very impressed with the food. I got a few simple dishes, including a pasta dish, but it wasn't anything special. The pasta was extremely greasy, the potatoes I got weren't hot (even though I waited for some time for them and started eating after I got them), and I didn't feel that great later that night. I doubt that I'd ever want to spend that type of money at a place like this again. The customer service was great, but who cares if you're paying for food you don't enjoy that much. It's not extremely expensive, but I feel that it's overpriced for what you get.

Saturday evevening reservations for 4 and were seated right away. The place was very busy at 8:30. Its a byob so we were good with wine, drinks and mixers. Appetizers were super tasty and bread/dippie I am told was good. The entrees were all done and presentedvery well. The menu was varied and had all the Italian classics and interesting specials. This place packs the people in, so dont expect privacy.

We catered our son’s High School Graduation Party from Piccolo Trattoria in Newtown. The owners were involved in the process right from the beginning and gave us special attention ( this was so helpful especially because I was super stressed trying to cater a 170 people event at my home). The food and service was impeccable! Everyone loved their homemade Tiramisu( even those on a diet)! I look forward to many more of my Events being catered from Piccolo. I highly recommend catering from Piccolo Trattoria!

Amazing service and delicious food! Focused on ensuring gluten free. This is an awesome Italian restaurant but I'm reluctant to share because it's a bit off the beaten track and has that wonderful service with fabulous food! I don't want it to be too busy :)

Back when I lived in Newtown this was my go to place! Every Friday we would either go here or order for pickup and take it home to eat! I absolutely loved their side salad that comes with any dinner. Their homemade balsamic dressing is out of this world!! Definitely recommend.
