This Restaurant is classified in the category of Korean restaurant.
The most favorate and recommendes is spicy noodle (bibim guksu) with one extra noodle only for free. Very good.
So so with noodles.
Reminded me of original Myungdong Kyoja noodle in Seoul.
The dumplings got much smaller and noodles weren’t cooked enough. I feel like this place is getting bad as time goes. But employees were nice.
Highly disappointing. Food came burnt and adhered to the bottom of the dish. Very pricey! Very little meat in the dishes. I won't be going back.
Phenomal restaurant. The service was fast and accurate. The food was delicious. Even though there was a line of people waiting to be sited at lunch on a Saturday the wait was only 15 minutes.
Food is fine, service is ok, hard parking.
The place to go for that Korean noodle, Kalguksoo. But it's the kimchee that either makes or breaks it, and this place definitely makes it. It tastes as same as in Seoul. Try it yourself!
Super food !!!! Everything is so delicious ! One of the my favorite place !!!
Good food at reasonable price.
I am on a quest for the best noodle spot and these guys were actually pretty good. still looking!
Great place for authentic Korean food. Food portions are huge so come hungry. Place is very clean. Dumplings and shrimp tempura were great. Keep in mind there food is pretty spicy so if you don't like too spicy let them know.
very authentic Korean food. No reservation on the weekend, the place was full when we got there 7pm on a Saturday night, but the wait was not bad at all. It's clean and spacious, there's also parking lot at the back of restaurant. Definitely try LA Galbi, Bibimba, and Cold noodle. The services is fast. The taste is very good and authentic. I will come back for sure.
I had the original Myungdong Kalguksu in Myungdong, Seoul many times. Not exactly same but great enough. Kimchi was also great.
Love the tofu soup
Was always the go to place for Korean noodles and an upgraded experience.
They take standard Korean dishes and make them better. 2 thumbs up!
We were a party of 11. 9 of us got got our food but 2 of us waited 1 whole hour, and nothing. We tried to cancel the 2 order because everyone else was already done but they would not allow it, saying that it was on it way out to be served. WTF! Never going back to this place.
Great food and even greater kind service. Loved it!!♡
Foods decent, but parking in Fort Lee is a bit iffy, which means you have to pay for valet parking most of the time. Overall its good.
Menu is good and the food itself is terrific. Staff is attentive and freindly. It's one of my favorite restaurants.
This place sells lots of other stuffs than just knife cut noodles. And they are all good and delicious.
There are just a handful of dedicated noodle stores in the Palisades Park, Fort Lee area and this place shines at exactly that. They do have other food options, but I would say you should stay away from those things. Their seasonal items are great too!
When it's cold. It hits the spot.
Went in on a Saturday and waited for 5 minutes for a table of 3. Service was quick and friendly. We all ordered the Myung Dong Kalgukso. Portions are very large, probably sould have shared one bowl between two people. What I loved most, is the iconic garlicky kimchi kalgukso should have!! Prepare and bring a pack of gum or mints for after the meal, no first dates!
Great food. Even with a wait, they got us in and out quickly.
Always clean and delicious and kind services. Actually Myung noodle is most famous noodle chains in Korea.
The food is CLEAN and DELICIOUS . It is Best restaurant in NJ
It's really nice and the food is Amazing Highly recommend it
the Myungdong Kalguksu is the signature dish here and so good. it’s knife cut noodles in yummy, warm broth with soft dumplings!
It was really yummy. There is parking in the back. Very friendly also.
Delicious food. Unlimited kimchi. Great service and atmosphere
The food is abosulutely great!! If you're a fan of Korean noodle dishes, I would definitely recommend!!
A welcome to our neighborhood . Great decor great food great prices. Friendly welcomes by the staff. Keep it up.
Decided to stop by Myung Dong Noodle House from New York for lunch and ended with our car being vandalized by their valet. Then they blamed us for it. The food was delicious however our entire experience was tainted by the way the owner blamed us for their wrong doing.
I’ve been eating at this restaurant for a few years now. The quality of food are so consistent and so good. The services are immaculate and efficient. The ambience is great and so clean. The dumplings are the must eat, the skin is so delicate and fillings are so juicy and delicious. Also, the noodle soup is cook perfectly all the time. Highly recommend this restaurant
The food here is great and the service is pretty quick. If you're a fan of Korean food or noodles, this is the place for you.
Done nice Korean food.
Have to be Chinese to understand what is in the food
THE WORST restaurant experience. first, I used to like this place for good food and clean space. Today, I drove one hour to get here from where I live and we ordered bulgogi and kalgooksu. after 15 min food didn't come so I asked server to check our order, she came back to us shortly and repeated our order to me which is not I asked( i know what I ordered..) I told her food is delayed then she didn't even answer me and just leave(I thought she went to kitchen to check but she didn't)..so we just waited there another 10-15min. I had to come to matire d and ask about our order and tell we've been waiting 30min, the manager said we've been here only 15MIN!(that's what POS says) it was absurd already but I didnt want to argue so just came back to table . After little while I saw some dialogue going on at matire d and knew our order was not placed. However nobody(manager or our server) came to explain but some other guy came to us and blamed internet(?) and said we'd have to wait 5-6min more. WELL, I GET IT. sometimes miscommunication happens and its one thing but how to react is another. If someone came to us and said sorry, we would not have to leave the restaurant upset and still hungry. Wast of time on beautiful Saturday afternoon. Thanks A LOT.
Great food but I feel like it's a little pricey.
It was good. Especially kalbitang soup was excellent.
Came here for lunch with 4 other friends. Three of us got our noodles first and two others got theirs when the first three were finished. Why do the seafood noodles take twice as long as the regular noodles to come out? Are they waiting for a boat to come in? It was very unacceptable. We would have gone somewhere else if we knew it would take this long.
They give you a free noodles on the side if you order kalgooksoo. (you have to order at least one dish per person to get this deal). make sure you ask for that additional bowl!!!
DISGUSTING PLACE! They re-use left over food. I saw them left over Kimchi into the silver bowl that is re-served to the customers! I am so sad because this used to be my favorite place before I saw them re-using the left over food. :( Their food was amazing, but if they can't step up their hygiene level, I will never ever go back to this place again. Please avoid at all cost, so they can learn their lesson!
Great food but usually a long wait, and the parking lot is always very busy.
best Korean restaurant in Fort Lee, NJ Good Food, Good service and very clean
Cold noodles for summer!
Noodle is good but banchan should be better
Great food and great service!! The food comes really fast and the waiters come right away when you need them. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions or just for meals~
Very bad service
The staffs stream and unmannered The foods fine.
kinda pricey considering there is no banchan :( only two kinds of kimchi... but other than that, i love their noodle soup. Make sure you order 1 per person and get an extra bowl!
Great service! Even greater food! Love the kimchi and white kimchi that just keeps getting refilled. Served our large diverse group quickly and efficiently even without a reservation and left us wanting to go back ASAP! Valet parking added bonus
Well trained staffs.
variety of Korean food. the dumpling and anything made of bean is great.
Delicious noodle soup and other Korean foods, nice waiter and waitress.
I could be working but I think this is a sister restaurant to the original noodle house in Seoul called Myung Dong Gyoza. I wasn't all that impressed by other menu items but their knife cut noodles were decent.
Great service! Good food! Very clean! Loved it!
For what seems to be a quick service type eatery, it sure took a long time for my food to come out. Food was pretty good though.
When I miss Korean flavor, Myeongdong Noodle House is the place to visit. Today we eat delicious 'MAESAENGI KULGUKSU' well. Please always be like me. Thank you.
Very kid friendly (they provide kids utensils), food is delicious
Foods r ok but little pricey..
Seems quite authentic to me, varied menu, plenty of kimchi and another pickled cabbage type item comes automatically, very clean, parking can be tricky, nice walkable downtown location.
Acreage place, good was good and so was the service
Kal Gook Soo is pretty good! Neng Myun and Beebeem Myun are par
This place never disappoints. They have good dishes for fair prices, there is no waiting time even when the spot is full.
Been here couple of times. It's clean and modern but there is no wow factor here. This time tried their Galbi tang(short rib soup) which had a bit of a burnt taste and not so flavorful and Galbi jjim(slow cooked short ribs) which was too sweet yet bland. The spicy squid bibimbop on stone pot was pretty good and the kimchi was excellent which is a must for a noodle place
Very clean and tasty Korean Restaurant in Fort Lee, NJ. My son and daughter-in-law loves this place.
Although the place is supposed to be famous for its Korean noodle soups (kalgooksoo), I didn't much care for it. The noodle itself was fine but the soup was a bit gamey tasting and smelling. However, I really love their cold noodle, especially the spicy beef cold noodle. Although it is sweeter than I normally like, I love the spicy sauce and the tender meat. I also like their steamed dumplings. The restaurant is clean and the service is courteous and
Excellent food, wonderful waitress!
Clean restaurant. BYOB ( not hard liquor though ).
Always good. Get the N1 and N5.
Good place to eat. Delicious korean style noodle
I feel that this is one of most consistent and quality Korean restaurants in this area. My favorite is still the dumpling noodle soup, which tastes great and has relatively a large portion. Both white and regular kimchi taste awesome and they will be happy to refill as you need them. They also have quality service as well. One of my favorites for sure.
LOVE the yukgaejang here. Quality food no matter what you get.
Newly and beautifully decorated restaurant. Food is fantastic. Service is good. Very busy venue. No wonder people wait atleast 15 minutes to be seated. Very pleasant experience and will return definately! Highly recommend for Americans venturing Korean food. Their servers speak English well.
Food was pretty good, but I couldn’t stop drinking water 2 hours later. Might be due to MSG.
Delicious,good
A chic and modern looking casual Korean Noodles and stew speciality restaurant in down town Fort Lee. I have been here about 7 or 8 times already and appreciate their focus on noodles and a variety of soups and stews. Service is welcoming, attentive and friendly. My friend and I chose the organic braised chicken stew this time. Spicy and fresh tasting. However, I wasn't too fond of the transparent rice noodles. It was too sweet (this was to counter and balance the spiciness of the overall dish). They should have mad the stew more soup like and added thicker broth and omit the noodles (or offer a version without the noodles).
I came here with two friends on Christmas, and we had to wait about 15-20 minutes because the place was packed! It was packed with Koreans which was a great sign. When we finally got seated, we were given two dishes of kimchi - one white and one normal. The white one was too sour for me, but the red one was delicious. The cabbage is totally fresh which made all the difference and it was absolutely delicious. We ordered a mandoo (pork dumplings) and the original chicken broth with dumplings noodle soup. The mandoo was okay and the meat they used inside was really lean so it was tasty. It didn't have much flavor though despite the soy sauce provided. The noodles were tasty, but the soup wasn't very flavorful and was way too murky. There were also only four dumplings, and they were cold. Not great. The noodles were slightly overcooked. The food was also quite pricey at $11.95 for each dish, pre-tax pre-tip.
Bit high on the msg but pretty great with large portions. Kimchi is legit too
Good quality Korean noodle in NYC area.
So many options of great tasting Korean food. Despite the seemingly high price tag you know you'll get your money's worth at this place with its quality. Lovely staff with nice environment. Servers will refill your banchans and Kimchis so quickly, service should not be an issue. It is Valet Parking if you go to their back entrance, I suggest you park on the street to save a couple bucks.
Fresh food and very delicious. Price is around $15 per person. The service is very good.
I have been going here since 2015 friendly service, bottomless kimchi ☺️☺️and very good food. If your thing is soup based meals and like spicy this is your place! Americanized enough that i can understand each meal but still a very traditional Korean restaurant ❤️
Hands down the best Korean food in the area. Valet parking available. Tofu soup comes with a special beef side. Myung dong noodle has an option to refill the noodles for a couple dollars— a great deal.
Great food, menu, service & value.
Delicious. Best cal guksu
Amazing Korean food. Excellent service. Loved in Korea for 3-years and this place is legit.
Food is tasty but on the expensive side. Decor is clean and modern, but gets pretty noisy when busy. Not crazy about some of the servers. A few of them have a little attitude and are not so friendly. Overall though, food and service is good. Recommend the myung dong kalgugsu noodles, which is #1 on the menu. In the summer, I recommend the cold buckwheat noodles called Yook Sam neng myun which comes with a side of grilled pork.
Food is good but little expensive. Additional cost for Valet parking
Authentic & absolutely DELICIOUS!!
Great home style cooking. They make their noodles and dumplings fresh (that's what their famous for) and their hot pot galbijjim was tender and full of flavor. Portions are single serving small, so if you're starving it may not be enough. My buddy and I shared two dishes and it was just enough. It wasn't the best I've had but I would come back. Very good and worth it.
Great place for traditional Korean dishes, would be a 5 star review if they just fixed ONE thing about their dishes that consist of scallions. Dishes that include scallion seems to occasionally include small caterpillar-like bugs that unfortunately made it into the food. Just a warning for future customers!
Love this place! I recently got a job in town and this is my go to lunch spot. I've had 7 or 8 things from the menu now and every single one was delicious. A bit pricey, but portions are large and the service is very quick. I'm new to Korean food, but the staff is always very helpful and explain the dishes excellently. Good amount of vegetarian options as well and I could eat a whole bucket of the white kimchi. Only negative to me is how fast it gets busy! Usually get there around 11:50 and am seated immediately, recently got there at literally 12:05 and had to wait 15 minutes for a table! Well worth it!
Awesome noodles. Not expensive. Decent service.
Really good food and fast service
I like noodle
A little pricey but great food and great service. I'd visit again. Their key dish costs 11.95 for lunch.
Good food
Over charred meat with cold noodle in beef broth, very unhealthy
Had a great dinner here. I got an impression that the foods were clean and authentic. Service was great as well. The only issue I had was parking. Study google map before coming here. It also seems that only valet parking is available unless you want to do street-parking.
Best of the best in the area! Clean, top notch service, and the food...out of this world! I'm not an over-eater but the beef dumpling, I can stuff myself until I blow up! Everything else is great as well.
Employees doesnt seem to care if you're out of water. No diaper changing station and bathroom is dirty (there are food bits on sink)
Great service and clean food production! Had an excellent flavored Korean "KahlGookSoo" A warm Noodle Based Soup .... flavoring and soup was premium!
Great Korean restaurant. If you are a noodle lover, this place is a MUST-to-try.
My God I live in Queens and this is my first time here and this place is really really good. Service awesome. Food is amazing. Love it.
Food is decent but service is not all that good...
This restaurant remind me back home... Myung dong noodle house is most famous name in Seoul, Korea. But I don't think this is franchise. Kimch tastes very similar I had their stew...can't remember name... Very clean and nice restaurant.
The guy who looks like a manager is very unkind to kids and rude! He never gives good seats if you bring kids. The noodle is tastes like msg itself!
Good.
Always good authentic Korean taste!
Enjoyed a lunch here today! My favorite noodle place. Some of my friends say that their soup base is too meaty and heavy. For those people who want lighter soup based noodle, try seafood noodle.
There is a bit of a wait during busy times. There is valet parking in the back. The waiters are attentive and service is good.
I came here with folks from Korea and they swore the soups, bibim bap (hot stone rice bowl) were better than what they could get in Korea. We shared 3 dishes among 4 of us and it was plenty filling - we were bursting full. The only reason we kept on eating is because the food was so good. The restaurant itself is beautiful with contemporary styling. Yes, the bathrooms are very nice too. The service is excellent - attentive and friendly without being over bearing. The manager or owner dropped by twice herself to check on us and the other tables. To top it off, prices were reasonable for the quality and volume we received. Outstanding dining experience overall!
Awesome soups!
Great place to eat. (I am note quite sure if they give you refills for free)
So good, i take friends frequently. Would recommend the house kalguksu and anything with bulgogi
Nice seafood tofu stew with a side of marinated pork and unlimited kimchi. Better value than BCD Tofu House
Best Korean food we had in NYC and NJ
delicious food and even better than the restaurants in Korea.
Very large portions, come hungry or you probably won't finish it. Tried hot beef noodle soup (can't remember exact name) and had steamed dumplings as the appetizer. I thought they were both good. Leans towards the expensive side, but not so much if you consider the large portion size. The wait staff was nice and accommodating. Parking will be difficult during rush hour, but after 7pm or so, should be easy.
Great Korean noodle restaurant. I visited this place multiple times and I always enjoy my meals here. Reasonably priced and very tasty.
Something for everyone with plenty to spare! This restaurant has been a strong establishment for many, many years. Every time we come up from Maryland to see my mother, we always make at least one trip to Myung Dong (명동). Their price is more than fair and food quantity is bountiful. I can't remember the last time we didn't walk out without our next meal in hand. Definitely a place to try!
This place offers more than hand cut noodles but nothing really stands out. Parking is very limited. It’s an option when you can’t decide what to go for and have exhausted other options around Fort Lee.
Went there with family over Labor Day weekend. I haven't been there in awhile and they must've renovated interiors. Looks very nice, comparable to similar restaurants in Seoul. They offer valet parking as well. Food is quite good also. We had kalguksoo, nangmyun, bulgogi, soondubu, etc. They're not the best we've had but quite competent. More like 4.5 stars. Will go back.
Food is not as good as it used to be. Pretty sure that the kitchen and staff has changed. Soup was murky and had no flavor. Noodles were not seasoned at all. Waitstaff tried to accommodate...
Nice atmosphere but food is so so.
Go to place for great noodle soups. Pleasant staff many speak English. Non GMO healthy food.
bibimap GREat food . pricey but worth it. Reminds me of the historical dramas when only the king would eat out of gold dishes and thats how they serve.
Kalguksu(Korean soup noodle) is so tasty. Especially winter time, you must try this noodle.
Been coming here since they opened years ago and as always had the kalguksu, which is what makes them famous. Great doesn't even begin to describe how delicious it is.
Great Korea food. My wife loves the place.
Good service, and of course delicious food. Great place to go out and spend time with your friends.
So delicious especially the dumplings
Delicious. Korean noodle.
Great food but very poor service. Specially the waitress.
Free noodle refills! (Some conditions apply, like depends on what you order and everybody has to have ordered a meal.) Great food. Seasonal menu is great as well. Service is good and as expected.
Very good korean restaurant
Very nice. I had a spicy sea food noodle .it was good but my wife's was better. Try #N1 from the menu.
이 쒸끼들이 양아치들이네... 발레 파킹을 강요하고 돈달라고 깡패처럼 붇잡고. ㅆㅃ. 글고 위이터들이 왜이리 태도주는지. Koreans tend to operate like Yang-ah-chi. Think : Yakuza in Japan. Always intimidating you, harrassing you due to territorial rights and demanding money or threatening you with insulting verbatim or unrelenting rudeness. I went to myung dong once and will never go back. Korean food service joints are run by degenerates and yang-ah-chi (yakuza style people) who have no hope for the american dream than to bully the hell out of us for tips. I try to avoid every korean food joint in Fort Lee / Pal park due to this mindset.
Good Korean noodle dishes. Would go again and recommend to others for Korean knife noodle dishes
I go to many asian spots for tofu and ramen. This is one of my favs.
Food is good. Clean inside. Bit pricy though.
Excellent food, friendly staff!
They have good donkatsu and kalgooksu. I heard their soondubu is good too. My dad loves this place and it is his go to.
Everything tastes great. Can get busy at times with long waits. I wish they had a little more side dishes on the table as well.
Very good
This place has great accessibility and generous seating so you don't have to wait long. It's modern and clean and the staff speaks fluent english. Most of all the food is great and authentic while still being very competitively priced. I recommend this place 100%!
Rude manager needs to be replaced! One of the noodle dish we ordered was completely spoiled and I had to spit it out. Returned the dish and ordered a different one, but that bad taste would't go away, so I couldn't really eat any of the new dish either. Bill came and I called the manager, explained the situation and asked him to remove one of the dish off the bill. He rolled his eyes, shook his head and said "no way" without even apologizing for delivering the spoiled noodle dish. He needs to be fired immediately, if the owner wants to keep the business going!
I had the pork dumplings for appetizers and the spicy pork bibimbap for my main course. Both were delicious. The service was great as well. I also recommended the tonkatau (pork). It is very tasty and a great value. Too much to eat at the restaurant.
The restaurant is good at every menu. My family tried Galbi, Bulgogi, Yuksam Naengmyun, Hwe Naengmyun. Don't assume this restaurant is only good at Kalguksu(noodle soup) even though its name has it.
Very busy
Was our first time. It's was good. Sometimes language barriers can hurt trying to order but it worked out and we liked our food a lot. Will come back if in the area. Tasty !
No shortcuts when preparing their food. High Quality. Dumplings YUM The Myung Dong Noodles YUM Bibim Gooksu YUM. Haven't had a bad dish yet at this place. They have Vallet Parking but the place is close to the Fort Lee parking lot ( you have to pay)
