Highly recommended. Never had French food before here. Atmosphere was awesome. Claudia up front is warm and welcoming. I was extremely impressed. Philippe in the back is a Genius. My wife had the lamb chops which I've never personally had before, why I do not know? Being a steak guy I could of sworn it was and/or was better than a filet mignon. I had a scallops special. Everything was cooked perfectly. The desert you can tell were made all fresh and with fresh ingredients. We will certainly be bac.

Have been coming to this Mom-and-Pop restaurant since the late 90s. Food is authentic French cuisine (portions are small) and very tasty. I suggest trying their tasting menu. Place is not spacious, with about 8 tables. You can being your own bottle of wine. Staff is very friendly. Easily accessible from the Garden State Parkway.

Dreadful experience. Ran out of 2 menu items. Took almost 2 hours from the time we arrived to be served our entrees. When we expressed our disappointment the server essentially blamed us because we needed an extra couple of minutes to make our selections and added some nonsense about everything being individually prepared. Food was very good but who wants to be treated like they're a problem. Someone needs a lesson in customer service.

This is my favorite French restaurant, great atmosphere, handful of tables, very cozy. Some think it's expensive, some say you get what you pay for. Menu is constantly changing, my favorites are bouillabaisse, magret de canard and pan-seared Foie Gras is simply amazing. Chef Philippe is a true master, very friendly and down-to-earth.

WELL WORTH THE TIGHT SQUISHED IN QUARTERS THIS FRENCH BISTRO SERVES EXCELLEN FOOD IN EVERY RESPECT FROM THE SNAILS TO THE VENISON IN SEASON TO THE HOT SOUFFLE. THE RESTUARANT PROBLABLY ONLY SEATS 20 SO MAKE SURE YOU GO EARLY AND THE DINNER TAKES A WHILE SO SAVOR EVERY SECOND

This is one of the best French Restaurants in the area as the food is absolutely fabulous! The quaintness of the restaurant recalls my life in France where family run restaurants are not a business necessarily but more a labor of love. Chef Phillipe is truly a master chef with a love of doing it perfectly, no matter how long it takes. Relaxed dining and the love of your company provide you a unique experience facilitated by absolutely delicious food second to none. This is the best French restaurant in Union county hands down. My husband takes me here when we want to splurge on a nice dinner, and every time it's been amazing. I don't know what Philippe does to vegetables to make them more delicious than they are anywhere else. My favorite dish has to be the rack of lamb, but I haven't had a meal here that wasn't thoroughly satisfying.

Beautiful cozy place! Loved the escargot,French onion soup and brie-mozzarella appetizers. The duck was great and the fish assortment was an experience to be repeated. Desserts we tried were delicious caramelized banana and the trio with creme brulee!

Wow! My wife and I have been looking forward to the Rendez-Vous for months but saved it for a special event. The restaurant and staff lived up to the hype of the reviews and then some. The escargot was a special surprise, served in a crock with mushrooms, tomatoes, fava beans and a tasty sauce. Entrée portions were generous and delicious. Lamb and beef were cooked to absolute perfection. We can't wait to bring friends and family to share this gem!!

My wife and I really like Le Rendez-Vous Bistro and in fact it is our favorite. The restaurant has a real charm and authenticity. The chef uses great ingredients and meals are prepared and served as well as the NYC more expensive options.

Great place to eat dinner and just have a nice experience with the food , on thing i would recommend is that on weekends to make a reservations for early in the day before 7 pm to beat the rush hour.

excellent food and the chef/owner goes out of his way to accommodate. it is a bit pricey, but we have come here for special occasions and holidays and have always been pleased with the food. the menu is constantly changing which is due to what is fresh and in season, but is somewhat small so if you have a picky eater they could have a hard time finding something.

This place has the appeal of a little French eateries in France, its small but with a lot personality. I ordered to foo gras it came in a red wine sauce, so yummy! The food all came at the perfect time, which is to be expected at a place like this. I wished the lights were a little dimmer and that hey played music, it would've added greatly to the ambience.
