Food was really good. High volume of people means frequent turn over of fresh dishes being brought out. However, the place is just too packed for our taste. All around the buffet it’s people elbowing you and greedy piling their plates to the top when fresh dishes are brought out. Again, food was really good but you have to be ready for an aggressive/survival of the fittest type atmosphere. Wonderful food variety for a place that serves halal. I’d be happy paying $5-10 more a person if it would reduce the amount of people that come through.

It's not as wow as my friends mentioned. It's not bad and it's not that good. Regarding the food, they have several options. Some of the options they have are really good and tasty, some are normal/average and some are below average. I went there at the end of the day so I can't judge the desserts as there were few options left. The place is swarming and full of people so it's not a quiet place. I think I might visit again at different time so that I can judge if the level of service will be changed or not.

Never again. Totally the worst and super expensive for the quality. And the lady in the front managing just had the worst attitude. It is all you can eat but I just couldn't. Barely ate anything. And they have a waste surcharge so if you take it and it sucks and you can't or don't want to eat it they will apply a surcharge. Feel bad for the workers they were very nice, this place will not last with so much good food so close. There is a Korean BBQ all you can eat like 1 block away that is awesome.

Overall a pretty good buffet. They had from chinese to steaks to seafood as well as a few variety of pasta options. Oh and soup and appetizers too . The desserts were great too. They had cakes, ice creams, cookies and jello. Enjoyed the food and the service was great!

I visited this buffet on April 18, 2019 for lunch. Lunch price was 11.00 however my husband and I didn’t mind paying because it’s all you can eat. What a huge mistake we made. There is no variety, the food tasted bland. Not many options. This was not an international buffet. False marketing. Two pasta options, white rice, beans, mashed potatoes , chicken parm, meatballs, and salad, fried rice which was uncooked and bland, salad, and three options of sushi. Never have I been to a buffet that lacks in options and taste. Also has signs plastered all over the walls saying 1.5 hour limit , surcharge for wasted food , and no refunds.

Most of the food choices revolved around pasta. I'm used to these type of buffets having a little more seafood and a little more Asian flavors. This one tastes more Latin. I would recommend it for someone that has never been to the other buffets in the area. It is very clean, which is a plus.

I called the day before and they told me the price was going to be normal, and when we arrived at the restaurant the price was very different. Anyways the restaurant is very good.

We went on a Saturday for lunch. When they say sushi, they only had like 4-5 options for sushi and it wasnt that good. I know crab legs are a main reason alot of people go to buffets like myself, and the tray was empty majoroty of the time and it wasn't crowded at all. They did have alot of hot food options, and everything I ate was good. Had my young son with me and they had the vanilla/chocolate soft icecream machine but had no sprinkles!!! Lol he was upset. Waitress was very nice and they cleaned dirty plates fast. Overall, would not say it was worth 17.00 PP for adults.

The only good thing about this place is the parking. Guys please do yourself a favor and dont go eat their. I would give them zero stars if i could. We only eat there cuz we were there already and we were hungry. 1. The food was very cold. 2. They barely bring out food, i was waiting for lo main for like 30 minutes. 3. They might seem to have a huge selection on their website, but when you show up, they barely have anything. 4. Our server barely showed up, i had to talk to the hostess to get our soda refills. 5. The hibachi grill sucks, they have no vegetables or sauces, and no variety whatsoever, they only have one kind of meat, chicken or shrimp. You would expect more for a place that charges 20 dollars a person. Please listen to me, save your money and do go there. It painfully sucks. If you want a good buffet go to hibachi grill.

I don’t recommend this place at all, I drove one hour and half and I was there by 2:49 pm. The manager and the cashier tried to trick us by charging me $77.65 for 3 adults and one kid, when I asked them why I have been over-charged they stated we don’t have lunch anymore and we currently have dinner when from 11:00am to 3:00 pm it is lunch time. Their response was rude and they said “take it or leave it”. When I told them that this is a consumer fraud action and I will report it to the consumer affairs department they got nervous and said that they can charge lunch price, but we can’t eat most of the food in the buffet. Well, if I paid and they have no lunch anymore then what would we eat.. some salad and fries? The main issue is that they conflicted their web advertising and front wall signs. I was really disappointed at first, for trying to cheat us with the price and secondly for bad behavior and attitude (Being rude and unprofessional not respectful at all). Then, we left the place for poor customer service and management. And I did research on them and they have a halal sign from N.J.S.A. general attorney department claiming to the public that they cook halal food which is not true at all, halal mean to them just they are not cooking pork only in the food. However, there is no zabiha involved at all. Beef lamb and chicken not halal the same any other American restaurant. Compare this buffet with any other buffet near this location ( road 19 by Walmart north Bergen and road 17 and Wayne road 23 ) and the results are staggering. The same variety of food can be found at a lower price at other places. My simple evaluation is that if they are cheating their prices and lying that their own food is halal, how I can trust their cooking and food quality!?!?

The service hit or miss depending on the waitress. I only gave five star because the seafood is great. Small selection on sushi. Great variety on seafood the best yet. Would recommend hire better attentive waitresses. And check all cups for a broken leaking. Things like this make it a undesirable location. The bench I Seat on in the booth had no foam in it, it was all springs very uncomfortable. I’m only gradeing on food quality. no Wi-Fi.

What's really beautiful about La Grande Buffet is the amount of Muslims and religious symbol pictures and over all a great atmosphere. Under 20 dollars per person gets you a good amount of food but the best of all I think almost every one comes for is the king crab legs, dam! Those thick juicy king crab legs are delicious and the best part is you can eat as many as you want no conditions and no limit.

This was my second try, there are a lot of options,specially sea food but unfortanetaly nothing tastes good! Everything has to much fat! whatever i tried had bad taste. Sushi options tasted awful! The desserts are not bad. Strange thing is, after i paid on the receipt i noticed that they charged $1.75 for soda! I did not ask for it and i dont drink any kind of soda! This was a rip off! The people working in the buffet have always sour face. So i would not go there again! And don't suggest anyone unless they make better food and hire better stuff!

Service is great, and the restaurant is clean. I'll give this place that. What I can't give high ratings to is the food. I'm sorry. This is too bland and the quality akin to pulling out of a boxed freezer tray and microwaving. Even the fruit looked unappetizing. I suppose for general buffet lines, this might be better than some, but I wouldn't make a special trip to this place. The kebabs, both chicken and beef were surprisingly tasteless. They looked amazing, but you take a bite into it, and the layer of flavor stops at the surface. The Chinese food is soaked in too much sweet sauce, but tastes alright. The sushi looked dry, and a single sampling confirmed it. I suppose if you're starving, this would be worth it.

The food is good, many different salads to choose from, good soups... The price was too high, I was charged $20 during Christmas for each person.

1) The place is extremely hot. Super uncomfortable. Even with all the fans going in the dining room it was like I was sitting in a sauna. 2) The waitresses were not attentive and spoke very little English. It took a good 10m before she came over and took our drink order. That would have been understandable if the place was busy but there were only 3 other tables and atleast 5 waitresses working. I do speak Spanish but my family doesn't. She kept speaking to them in Spanish even though I told her they couldn't. 3) The food. They don't have an extensive selection but they do have a variety. Most of the things were not labeled so it was a guessing game with some of the fried foods. None of it looked or tasted homemade. I had some black pepper chicken that was pink inside. The desserts weren't kept in a cool enough area. I chose something that looked like tiramisu and it tasted spoiled. $20 buffet, cheap. Had a variety of foods. That's all the good I can say. You get what you paid for. They had good lemonade and soft serve ice cream. Also, clean bathrooms.

Used to be ok back when it was the Rainbow buffet and even after that for a while but it's just awful now. These reviews must be fake ! They have a fly infestation and admitted to it and said they are handling it with a flyswatter. There is mold in the bathroom . It's a health hazard I noticed after eating 1 plate threw up asked for a refund and they said no because they said I enjoyed the food before noticing it .

Sometimes the servers will forget about you for a few minutes. Long enough to make you wonder if they'll ever come back. If you're too shy to ask for a refill of your selected drink, you'll find that you won't be getting another for a while. In many visits to the buffet, I get that sort of treatment. Especially when it is busy. It may be the opposite for anyone else going over there, like not getting those refills while it's less busy, but that's all the same. That is the only inconvinience over at the buffet. The food is great, and the staff is friendly. 9/10 would recommend.

I came to town for vacation with my husband and we decided to try this place out but I will NEVER come back.This place was absolutely disgusting. I came from the bathroom and when my husband told me to turn around, there was a bedbug crawling on the chair we were in. Not only that but there was a roach near the food and hair in the pasta. When I complained, the waitress told me she was sorry and would get the manager but never came... I wanted to legitimately throw up!!! I do NOT recommend going there! The service is horrible and they are extremely disrespectful. I was expecting high quality food because it’s so overpriced. I mean $20 for a plate?! cmon now..We weren’t able to eat and so we had to spend more money on another place. They seriously need some health inspections.... seems like they’ve never had one.

Awesome restaurant! Great variety, so plenty of food types to choose from including American, Italian, Middle Eastern and Chinese. The service was great ; waitresses were accommodating and the manager came to personally check on our group and ensure everyone was satisfied. Crab legs are also served here. So this place has a great price point for what you get. Overall a great dining experience.
