Loved this place , delicious food , great service
First time here and was great. Food was amazing but the customer service was even better.
Excellent food, good (thick and very sweet) bubble tea, and very friendly staff!
Amazing food and service recommend making reservations
Been here twice so far. I'm a Korean food lover. They have the best soondubu! Very tasty! Plus the waiter/chef are very nice and polite. Found my restaurant in the area. I work 5 mins. away from here, this will definitely be my lunch place now.
Excellent food something different
Very comfortable, affordable, and pleasant atmosphere. Food is excellent. Staff very upbeat and willing to help or explain anything on menu. I had the Kimchi Jjigae, only wish these were more glass noodles in it, but the brother and elements all complimented each other. Reminded me of the first time I experienced this dish of spicy soul warming goodness. This is the first five star review I've ever given. I will definitely drive the hour to go to this place again.
Best korean food I've had in years
Place is Delicious!!!!!
I love this restaurant. It was our first restaurant when we were discovering new Jersey! The food is awesome and the attention wonderful! Thanks for the experience! Regards from Bolivia!
This place is worth a try. They serve large portions for affordable rates. Regularly well organized and with good mood. I highly recommend this place.
Delicious Korean food, try the sweet & spicy wings!
Koreander has amazing food. It is authentic cuisine and the menu had good choices.
Nice small place. Possibly my first time eating Korean BBQ but it was very tasty. I got the bibimbap...as did the other two people with me.
I ordered the Bibimbap in a stone bowl. The meal was delicious!
Friendly service and good food
One word.... WOW!!!!
Love the dumplings and bimbimbap. The bulgogi is delicious too. My son devours the kids ramen soup. The food is always hot and fresh.
Great food, great service. cant wait to go back!
Great food
New owners. Very warm and welcoming hope they do well
Best.bibimbap.ever...seriously! Meat is so tender and flavorful and everything so fresh!
Gone many times, the owner knows us personally now and always cranks up the hot level when we ask. Great guy.
The bibimbop was great but the bilbolgi was to die for!!!! Wish I could restrained myself from diving into the bilbolgi long enough to take a picture. Being located on the trendy but quiet Watchung Ave side of Montclair, this restaurant deserves lines stretched down to the train station for the dishes they offer. The staff and owners are salt of the earth folks with warm personalities and a welcoming smile. If your talking it to go, call ahead! They get pretty busy, of your staying to eat, don't be afraid to ask for suggestions.
Friendly and attentive staff. Family owned and operated and it shows on the food. Traditional home style flavors sort of remind you of visits to a Korean grand mother's house when she cooks a feast. Well priced meal for a party of 4. Worth adding this location to your rotation of local neighborhood culinary delights. It's good enough for Montclair as it lacks some less westernized Asian restaurants. But it ain't a home run like places in Fort Lee or K Town where the competition is more fierce and food is never a miss.
I love this place!! The service is incredible EVERY TIME, along with their delicious food, and the intimate setting makes this a place that I keep going back to!!
Really good restaurant, there was a line outside and after waiting 15min, I was not disappointed. The food was fantastic and fresh! The staff were friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly, hot and delicious. The owner also walked around and chatted to people:) I will definitely go again! ( and again)
Decent food
Friendly, fast and tasty!
Best Bibimbop I have ever had!
If you are used to the korean restaurants in edison and ridgefield area, this is not the place for you.
Delicious Korean food and fantastic service! The food was served in mere minutes after ordering.
The food is excellent I have never had Korean food before and I am not one to try new things. Besides that my fiance took me here and this food is amazing!
In a word: delicious. The generously portioned, reasonably priced food was served bubbling hot and full of flavor by the staff, who were helpful and friendly. One word of advice to vegetarians, the "vegetarian" portion of the menu is more strictly speaking for pescatarians. A little something was lost in translation, as all of the spicy dishes listed in the vegetarian section of the menu (including the kimchi) contain a seafood element. The servers were more than exceptional in guiding around my questions and the meal was beyond exemplary. Easily the best Korean meal I've had since moving to New Jersey.
Great food
Mmmmmmmmm! Can be spicy!
Stopped by for the first time tonight for some take out. So HAPPY I did! Food was delicious. Spicy chicken was outstanding. VERY Friendly staff is also a big + Will be back soon.
Great
just normal price for korean food in US, But it tastes really good and it's high quality too. I can tell as a native Korean!
New owners are amazing. We get incredible service every time we go. Love this place!
Amazing, friendly service. The food tastes amazing. The chef ran after us when I forgot my take home meal. 100/10, will definitely returns and tell my friends about it.
First time trying Korean food, and I LOVED it! I LOVE this restaurant too. Everything about it was really wonderful. From the delicious food to the friendly and helpful staff.
This place is a must try. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and attentive.
I went to Koreander for the first time recently because I wanted to pick up some Korean food. I’d read the reviews and it’s only about 15 minutes away so I thought I’d try it out. I was immediately greeted by several of the workers since it was not busy at the time. They were all very friendly and accommodating and gave me several suggestions and asked me about myself. I purchased the seafood dumplings and beef bibimbap (rice bowl) and was also given kimchi and soup in addition. It was a huge quantity of food for roughly $20 so that was fine with me. I enjoyed the taste of all of the food when I got home and highly recommend this place because I’m definitely going back!
Great food, friendly staff, get the #9.
my 1st tym to this restaurant...totally in love with everything the food the staff the ambience
Excellent food. Both the Korean and the Japanese. Favorites are the Flower Tuna app which for me is an entree, Kalbi, Bulgogi, and the Tuna Rolls. Everything I've had there is super fresh and delish.
delicious food is a tiny but nice restaurant with a polite, friendly staff. they're enthusiastic about the food and will kindly explain Korean cuisine to the novice.
Absolutely amazing, the food is so beyond exceptional, and the service is amazing every time. I go here at least once a month and its never let me down :)
This site is my favorite place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. everytime I want to go to a fair meal, this place comes straight to my head. best and all sorts of food and a rich cuisine.generous staff, and pleasant spirit. Also important, the tariff is reasonable. I suggest this restaurant with pleasure.
Great food! Go there several times a month!
A-mazing!!!
Simple, spicy, tasty, very cozy environment for a quick eat.
Amazing service and food!
Ben who is the manager thus shop, he was such a nice person. And servers were very nice, food was also delicious. You won't be disapointed.
Great place for lunch and dinner! Quiet and cute staff is wonderful
I was really happy with my trip to Koreander. Their pork belly was perfectly cooked. Chewy but not too chewy. Soft but not too soft. And absolutely smothered in onions. I am definitely coming back
Very friendly environment and great outing for a group or for a romantic setting be it midday or night. Always have a blast here. Kalbi barbecue is ace as well as the spicy tuna sushi to name a few. First time tasting bubble tea and it was tasty. Stop in and try, your taste buds will thank you.
It had the best Korean food such a great taste cooked to perfection and the atmosphere was awesome and the owner of the restaurant would greet you and keep coming around really made you feel welcomed. I will definitely go back to this restaurant and I recommend it
Good traditional Korean food and very warm staff. I do like a little kimchi from time to time! I ordered the bulgogi and the manager (I think it was he) showed me how to mix up the rice with the meat and japchae noodles and advised me that having it in a stone bowl is much better than any other kind! I like ethnic restaurants that have the right staff who know their own cuisine and traditions and can help newcomers explore it. We talked a little about midtown Manhattan's Koreatown and the merits of Korean miso soup vs. Japanese miso. I had a very good first experience here and will surely be back to explore other traditional Korean options.
Hidden gem in Montclair/ Bloomfield border. Soups were in point. New favorite.
Food ... amazing Site ... amazing Service ... amazing All around ... amazing.
Omg this was the best place to eat and great service I've been there 3 times and everything g is fabulous. Please check this out and what great service..
Koreander has become a staple of mine since moving in the area, so good!
Miso soup had no tofu. I wasnt impressed with the bulgogi due to very small pieces of meat and no marinade flavor. Also had mushrooms which was different but they were tasty. Didn't really care too much for the side dishes. Never got asked if I needed a refill which I definitely did, luckily my friend didn't plan on drinking their water.
I love Koreander. A warm, family-owned place, with outstanding food, prepared with love and care. Absolutely delicious and always welcoming.
Great place for Korean food :)
The food is amazing and great the price is a bit high but its all worth it
Great people. Great food
(Translated by Google) Excellent place to eat the original Korean food. (Original) Excelente lugar para comer la original comida Koreana.
Very good hybrid of Korean Fusion Food...
The real deal!!!
Really great Ramen!! Awesome service! The chef even came out and asked how the food was, which was super delicious by the way!
Kimchi chigae is my favorite dish here

Awsome unique food at great prives freindly staff
Good food. Will try again
Good food. Cool staff. Hot and spicy deliciousness.
Best miss ever
Friendly, delicious hankuk umshik. Yum
Loved it. Great lunch. Thank you.
Delish
Food was ok, first experience was much better.
The service was very nice to begin with. The server was very attentive, friendly, & polite. However, food was plain and a bit pricy. The tofu soup (soondubu chigae) was supposed to be mainly sour and spicy, but it was so salty. I ordered seafood in it, but it came with only 1 clams and a bunch of imitation crab meat. This soup costed me about $15ish. The noodle dish was obviously prepared which made the noodle crispy and chewy and it is not the way of this food was supposed to be. I’m kind of disappointed honestly.
Great place if you want to try authentic Korean food. Owner is very friendly, and will offer you recommendations of you have never tried Korean food. Portions are quite large, freshly prepared while you wait. Accepts cash (of course) and major credit cards. Friendly request I have noticed on the wall- if total is below $20, please pay In cash. No separate parking, but street parking is available - side street 2 hrs - enough to enjoy your meal.
Good food, good service...go for the great food
The food was delicious!!! I could hold back from eating the entire portion. Highly recommend it.
The food is always fresh and delicious, employees gives great service. I like how neat it is and atmosphere. Will come visit again.
Love it!
Delicious!
Good food and service.
Good tasty korean food and their homemade gochujang is excellent!
Tasty. Owner managed. Authentic. Full, even on a Wednesday night. Fresh fresh fresh ingredients. And since it is authentic recognize it's spicy, but in a great way - not heat for heat's sake.
Great food and wonderful service
I was pleasantly surprised the food was very good and the service was excellent as well
Lovely place with lovely food and great staffs. Will definitely come back.
Really good
One of my favorite spots to grab some food. awesome location, always clean, and awesome service. A must try!
My boyfriend and I went here because we both love Korean food, especially the chicken wings -- what a disappointment. We have NO idea why this place has such a high rating. The wings weren't crispy, they had almost a breading to them which isn't how traditional Korean wings are made. Literally no one working in the restaurant was Korean when we were there, which is just strange for a place with reviews about how authentic they are. The sauces didn't quite taste right. I'm used to BonChon, Drunken Chicken, or Pelicana style Korean wings/fast food and this just didn't live up to the hype. Clearly the reviews are not from people who have experience with Korean food, or even Korean from K-town in NYC. Will never go back.
good food! I would come back again. the server was nice. they were accommodating for our group of 6. parking is street parking.
My local go to for Korean, good Korean dishes & sides. Ramen is so-so,but hey it's not a ramen place. Some vegetarian options.
My mom is Korean and I grew up in flushing new york, so I've had a lot of Korean food in my life. This place stands up to the best; it's authentic tasting with large portions and cute ambiance. I came in only for the lunch special and had the bibimbap (in a hot stone) and friend dumplings and came away happy, nostalgic, and satisfied.
It was our first time trying korean food. It was so good, we enjoyed the food and great customer service as well.
Nice, small restaurant with good food. BYOB and there is a liquor store on the same street. Great place to have a meal with a loved one or small group.
This place is pretty good. Food is priced pretty well and the ambiance is pretty cute. I really like the pictures attached to the walls. They do take out, and they give sides with the take outs as well. If you like spicy food let them know and they could hook you up with the good stuff.
Too LIT!
Delicious. Friendly staff. Great service.
Absolutely delicious.
this place is soooooooo good
The heated stone bowls make the food even better.
To start with, the miso soup was delicious. The food came out super quickly and it was absolutely awesome. Full marks to the staff for making me feel welcome.
overall the food was excellent and delicious. the miso soup was not good though. it had a strange taste to it... one person in our group thought it was like a Ritz cracker and another just couldn't quite figure out what it was but it didn't taste like miso. it was terrible but it probably a bad powder/packet-made soup. the Korean food - the ramen and the stone pot rice dish on the other hand was very good. the appetizers were not as nice as other Korean restaurants though and there weren't very many of them (3 compared to 6 or 7 in some other places).
Taste is ok for fast food. Not authentic.
Awsomey
Best korean food in New Jersey
Amazing Service and even better food! This is one of my favorite places to eat not only because the food is delicious but also because the people are so nice! Definitely come here!!!!
Love the food here. Great service too.
I LOVE this place! The food is fantastic and unique, even for Montclair. Everyone is nice and accommodating. One time I forgot my leftovers, and the owner came running down the street after me to hand them to me. My dad takes me here to cheer me up whenever something bad happens in my life. Cannot recommend it enough!
Delicious and clean, the service is good
Muy buena atención la mejor para mi !
Absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone o/ Stopped by this place due to layover on my trip back from overseas. Brought here by a friend, with two other friends in tow. I got their spicy beef rice bowl (in the stone bowl ofc). Only got a 1, though, not knowing the levels associated with their scaling (apparently 1-3 are normal spiciness, while 4 and 5 are crazy enough to make you sweat, and you can go 2.5, etc.) Also tried their dumplings. Dumplings were delicious. My rice bowl came in, absolutely sizzling. The fumes from the food were pouring into my face. The portion was HUGE. Larger than I expected. LOTS of onions. Lots of meat. Lots of rice underneath. I did not expect the onions though. I dislike onions... HOWEVER. I was invited here by a friendo. He vouched very well for it, so I thought 'what the heck, lets give it a shot.' I loved it. The onions in the bowl were nothing like any onions I've ever eaten. Any complains I ever have about 'em were irrelevant in this situation. The beef was perfect, the sweet potato noodles were delicious. When I finished, the bowl was near spotless, the only remnants being stuff I couldn't manage to scrape off the insides of the bowl, which wasn't very much even then. We were checked up on several times by the guy that seated us, as well as whom I presume was the owner/head chef. Super nice people. But you definitely do need to be vocal about wanting a new drink or what have you, because I was too timid to call for another sparkling water (that, and I was too busy eating the delicious food). Next time I stop by, I'll hold my deal with them and try out a 2.5 spiciness. I'll definitely also ask for extra meat :D (which you CAN do) Eating here seriously makes me want to visit NJ more often xD Oh, I also had fish ice cream. Pretty much an ice cream sandwich, except instead of the sandwich, the stuff holding the ice cream is in the shape of a fish and made up of wafer-tasting-stuff. Good way to finish off ^^
I loved it !
Amazing food, everything was great. I love this place! It has great food, great customer service, AND complimentary stuff! Amazing.
Best Korean food .
Wow the new owner/chef of Koreander has changed the menu to include traditional Korean classic dishes done with more quality and authentic flavor than most Korean places I've gone to in New York City (and I've tried many of them from 32nd st to The depths of Queens). He cooks with really developed flavors that match the best Korean soups and BBQ I've found. The new owners (the chef and his wife) got rid of the fusion items like kimchi hamburger that weren't any good and have made this a real gem for delicious true Korean home cooking style! If you appreciate what it takes to make great broth for soup and like Korean then this place is worth a special trip. The Kalbi is amazing also!
Fabulous spot for Korean specialities. The house made kimchi and pickled radish are excellent. Portions are just right, spicy sauces and flavorful dishes are a crowd pleaser
Great service
There's a nice casual atmosphere with very friendly service. The beef bulgogi I got was deliciously peppered.
