EDITED: I also wanted to add that I am a Caucasian woman who came to your establishment with an Asian couple. Not only did the couple I came with get their drinks and appetizers, but your staff also put more food on their plates than mine. I was shocked by this behavior. I strongly suggest you retrain your staff! Went here tonight for some Korean bbq. The service was terrible. After they took our order, they then took our drink order and did not bring all of the beverages requested. I then had to go to the bar and ask somebody over there to get the drink I had ordered 20 minutes earlier. The server who was cooking our meat on the grill left the final portion to burn on the barbecue fire. Then the waitress came over and started cutting off the burnt pieces and putting it on our plates. We also ordered an appetizer that never came. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant.

If your looking for authentic Korean BBQ and not willing to drive all the way to Bergen county or New York this is the place for you. Prices are reasonable and the service was fantastic. The waitresses were very helpful in showing us how to eat everything traditionally and very informative. I recommend this place to all, just make sure you make a reservation because they can get very busy especially on weekends. Im glad I found this hidden gem and will be returning for sure.

Came here for a birthday. The food was delicious. Every single item I consumed was really tasty. We ordered 3 platters and went to town. The one thing I was pretty confused about was that we weren't able to cook our own food. I'm guessing if you have a large party you're unable to do so. I've been to other places with large parties and we were given full reign over the grill top. Was kinda disappointing.

I eat Korean food all over the country from LA to Houston to NY and many other areas. I used to visit this place every other month for table BBQ with my colleagues while working in this area. Just visited last week after being gone six months, and their Korean BBQ is fantastic. Love their marinated galbi ribs and pork belly! The pajeon seafood pancake is always so crispy here. Their kimchi and side dishes are some of the best anywhere, at least, in this country.

Summary: A very nice and authentic style Korean BBQ restaurant. It may be a little hard to find the first time around because it's in a tucked away plaza off of Rt 46 but look out for their sign that's visible from the road. When you see Mavis Tires, slow down. BBQ meats were good quality and their marinates were tasteful. May be a little expensive compared to its competitor, V Yan, but the authenticity is worth it! Great dinner spot for groups. My fiance and I went to try their KBBQ one day. I've driven past Keo Ku many times but never stopped by. Heard mixed reviews from people so I had to give it a try myself. I was not disappointed! We ordered the Savory and Spicy BBQ platter to share ($75) which came with Galbi, Bulgogi, spicy pork, and spicy chicken. (A platter would probably feed 3 people, feeling comfortably full.) Since we ordered a platter, it offered a choice from 3 soups. We chose the soon tofu soup. When you order anything BBQ, you'll also get a bunch of side dishes, rice, lettuce, and scallion salad. You can use the lettuce to wrap the BBQ meat in as you eat. You can also get free refills of the side dishes. Our waitress did well in cooking the meats on our table grill and cutting them up for us. When you check into Yelp, they offer 10% off the bill. If you also have linked your card for Yelp Cash back, you get an additional 10% back too! Take advantage!! They take credit cards and there's a private parking lot for the plaza.

There are many good Korean BBQ places outside of the city and North of the suburbs to enjoy, however most places further out are a smaller and cook the BBQ in the kitchen. Keo Ku provides the authentic table grilling experience for customers to enjoy and it is absolutely worth it. It also may be in the suburbs but this just may be the best Korean restaurant in New Jersey (sorry, all Bergen county restaurants), in my opinion. The food here is outstanding, which should be more than enough incentive to come eat here but more so, the service is quick and attentive, my glass was never empty, and the side dishes were offered to be refilled even without request because staff cares to notice when guests enjoy something in particular. I would recommend this place without a second thought.

We are very big fan of Korean good, and did quick search, and found this place with a lot of reviews and good reputations. Foods look so go on website, and taste was indeed very good. I used to come to this place with my family all the time as a kid some fifteen years ago, and have still managed to get some more visits in recent times. It's been around forever and for good reason - the food is great, as is the atmosphere. Get the bulgogi - you won't regret it!

We have been there a few times over the past year. If you have a Local Flavor, Groupon, Living Social deal or similar voucher, Then it is an excellent value for the price and portion! Except upon your welcome arrival, the wait staff is not very attentive or friendly at all. It would be nice if the owner or manager ever came over to introduce himself (or herself) and ask if everything is OK, or at Least say hello. The food is fresh, of good quality and a good portion, although, by most Korean BBQ standards, it should be more flavorful and tasty. However, we feel the price is high for the quantity of beef, chicken, pork or meat that are given in the Entree/combination Bimimbaps, several other dishes, soups/stews. The majority of their Entree/combo dishes, soups/stews have mostly vegetables and rice in them with Very little meat. They're mostly meat Entrees start at around $30. They have a homemade hot tea that is available for free. Unfortunately, they don't ask if you would like any and don't give it to you unless you ask. When we were finishing our meals, Not completely done, they were So quick to clean our table, when I went to wash my hands and came back to the table, even our Water glasses were gone! As there are almost no other stores next to them, there is plenty of free parking right in front of the restaurant in their strip mall type location.

I recently visited Keo Ku Jang Restaurant with my friend and I had an overall great experience. The staff was very friendly and when I asked for suggestions on what to order, they were very helpful. The food that i ended up ordering was good. My favorite was the fish with the brown sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The fish was cooked nicely and the sauce was really great and complementary to the taste of the fish. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The good also came out in a timely manner, not too fast, we were able to digest from the last thing we ate. And not to slow.

The food was good, but the portions were a little smaller than I expected for the entrees. The soup portions were good and very tasty. Scallion pancakes were good, but would have preferred the scallions chopped up into smaller pieces.

I have visited Korean restaurants plenty of times as if I live off of Korean food. That being said, I consider myself very familiar with the food and have a standard of expectations whenever I visit Korean restaurants. When eating here, I could immediately notice that the quality and the taste of the food were exceptional. I actually even live closer to Pal Park in Passaic and will come here instead if that is any indication how good Keo Ku is. Place even has a full bar, a far better drink selection than EVERY korean restaurant in NJ, and they are Earth conscious too, using paper straws and bio-degradable doggy togo containers. Definitely tops at least in New Jersey.

I strongly recommend Ju Mul Ruk. It’s not something that you would get all that time because it’s little expensive, but it’s definitely worth to make your day special. Our group of 8 arrived in Keo Ku on Sunday afternoon. We ordered variety of dishes like Ju Mul Ruk (really yummy beef prime rib), Yuk Gae Jang (spicy beef soup), Galbi Tang (non-spicy beef soup), Bibimbap, Toppoki (spicy rickcake), Pajeon (Korean pancake), and more. Their taste of all soups were very deep and good, our meal came out with a lot of side dishes. Staffs were very nice and kind.

For example, their beef prime rib will melt on your tongue. They also have thick sliced duck to grill which is also very good, too. I can not find that even in Manhattan. There are some other Korean restaurants near here, but this is the only place that offer the experience of typical Korean table BBQ. They have many choices of BBQ that you can choose between beef and pork, spicy and mild. They have a lot of other Korean food that you can eat along with BBQ. This place is amazing! Absolute gem for Korean BBQ. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable. The food was delicious. I recommend the pork belly and the shaved ribeye. The ribeye had this wonderful marinade that made the meat sweet while the pork belly was complemented with salty sesame oil. Mouth watering and I can't wait to come back!

It was my first visit here with my family all the way from Pennsylvania and all of us were very glad that we came. Portions were nice size, and priced fairly, service was so friendly, too. I tried Korean pancake and Jae Yook pork both were so delicious. The NY sirloin was huge and cooked perfectly. The kimchi and side dishes are so good too we buy a tub kimchi to bring home.

Best Korean BBQ ever! I’ve taken several friends on different occasions to this restaurant and for good reason. It is great for groups of friends or family and has such an open air, friendly feel. The food and the service are also exceptional. This last visit was with a few people who had never had Korean BBQ before and I love taking friends to new places. The waitress and this restaurant in general makes a point to show guests how to eat in the true Korean style and educate them about the food and what everything is. I can not explain how much I love that. They also always are attentive to make sure the bbq is cooked correctly and we arenmt messing up our own order! Everyone I bring always is impressed and loves it. It’s always a hit and no wonder why.

I would give this review zero stars if I could. I’m traumatized from the different types of, what they call beef, chicken and pork. All of the different meats were extremely questionable as each individual portion was nothing but fatty, chewy, stringy and did not look at all like any meat I have ever eaten in my 40 years. I did not want to be rude although I also had no words, I was speechless since it was a very disturbing and nauseating experience. The worst dining exp I feel like I just paid $100 for marinated steakums. The meat was mostly fatty and chewy and most of it had to be spit into a napkin. Not sure how they are still in business with that type of quality.

All the foods that I had here were spectacular. It’s a bit pricey to visit here often, but I feel very special each time I visit here. You don’t want to worry about parking or waiting, and also don’t have to worry about wrong choice. Servers give you many recommendations, and all were very good so far.

*** Edited .... I added another star because the restaurant immediately commented back with some kind words. It's a nice Korean place, but I am in no way the expert on Korean food. I would have gave it four stars but the waitress over recommended too much food. I asked her three times if this was going to be too much food for our party of 3 adults and 2 kids and three times she replied it with not be too much food. The five of us ate until we were stuffed to the gills and there was a full bag of food left over. I don't eat Korean food often so I wish she didn't intentionally up sale me and recommended the correct about of food. My 100 bill would easily have been only 50 bucks.

I recently visited this location on a date and I have to say that their food and service was great! The bbq was cooked at the table and it came with several varieties of kimchi sides as is customary at a Korean bbq. I would suggest the Yaki Mondu appetizer, Galbi bbq, and the Japchae noodles! Also, don't forget to order a Korean beer - it's light and refreshing!

There are Korean restaurants that make the taste of the food very stimulating, like ones in Manhattan. It’s either really salty, surgery, spicy, or have a lot of MSG taste. Our small party of four overall enjoyed our experience. The food was pretty good. The only complaint is that the squid didn't have much flavor. We would've enjoyed it more if our waitresses weren't so insistent on cooking the food. We were really looking forward to that part. When I funally managed to get my hands on the tongues to turn the meat the waitresses would come to the table and take over. My hubby later remarked it looked as though we were gonna fight for control of cooking. All of this after we clearly stated we wanted to cook our own. I understand keeping an eye on things but sheesh ladies that was a bit overbearing. Maybe this is something that management should address because it seems to be a reoccurring theme.

Food is tasty. Expect this restaurant to be good for more traditional meals from a typical traditional Korean restaurant with the typical high prices. It has more menu choices than at the restaurant SGD DUBU SO GONG DONG TOFU & KOREAN BBQ that I used to go to and quickly got tired of because of the limited choices. Delicious Korean BBQ~ Usually don’t need to wait because of such a spacious hall with many tables. I usually go with Galbi, but sometimes I order Sam Gyup Sal. Their stews and pajeon are very good too. You can even order a whole fresh wedge of kimchi cabbage! Probably in top 3 in NJ/NY area. Truly five stars.

It’s a soup with tender short ribs. They also have an option to make it spicy which I couldn’t find it in other places.

My first time experiencing Korean food and I can see why my Uncle loves it so much. The service was 5 stars as well. Never ran out of water. Never ran out of anything. It was just amazing. And the waitress answered all my questions with a smile on her face. We all left with full bellies and smiles on our face. Wheelchair accessable as well

We recently came here for Father’s Day. The place was bustling with people and you could tell there were really busy. The place was completely packed, the air smelled amazing and the atmosphere was very positive, fun and casual. The food was simply outstanding - we tried several bbq dishes from lobster and scallops to galbi and pork belly. We were all literally nodding our heads and making funny sounds of total satisfaction because it was all so overwhelmingly delicious… I’m surprised no one cried it was so good. Plenty of other entrees were also ordered and there was nothing to complain about. The kimchi they make in house is incredible. I would come here for that alone. The kind woman who makes the kimchi and all the other little side dishes also helped serve our table -amazing. Also must mention the entire service was also very good despite how hectic and busy they were. The servers were practically running around to get to tables. Price was expensive but we were not about to spare expenses for our father, besides it was certainly worth it all. More repeat visits to come. Thank you for the wonderful time.

This place is my preferable restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. Whenever I I need a proper dinner, this place comes first to my mind. very good and varied food and a rich cuisine.helpful staff, and pleasant atmosphere. In addition to that, the pay is good. If you like Korean BBQ or trying it for first time, keoku is the best place. I am Korean and grew up eating here. They have been in around for such a long time and it’s also family run. They know what they are doing here. Meat quality is really good, their barbecue sauce recipes are unlike pretty much every place I have been too in my life, even my own home. I wish they make more locations so that I don’t have to drive so far every time.

I went with a group of friends and the staff was nice, attentive and welcoming towards each of us. The stove to cook on at our table wasn't big enough to cook all that we ordered so that we can eat it all but the staff was kind enough to start another station and help us cook the food! Overall, the food and drinks were pretty good but I had a great experience with such a kind staff that it made the food delicious! A must have is the sea bass with the sweet brown sauce.

I thought that lunch was little bit pricey. Side dishes were salty to me. For the service nothing to brag about. They didn't come check on me if i need more side dish or just ask if food that i order is ok things like that. I ordered beef soup was good. For dinner, i think it is too rich for our blood!

I treated a very important business partner here at Keo Ku Restaurant. We ordered a some pork belly, marinated shrimp and a huge NY Strip that was recommended by the waitress. I have to say, everything was just spectacular. Not only was my colleague impressed but as was I. Everything was presented so well and our grill server, who might have been the manager or head chef, cooked our barbecue professionally and to perfection. To dine here is not like dining at most other asian restaurants but a step above. I think only the concern that you might have is the grilling smell and smoke that your clothes might absorb, but as long as you don’t have another important meeting with different group right after, don’t worry about it!

I like spicy stuff, and tried Korean spicy soups here whenever I visited. Ones that I liked were Yuk Gae Jang, Kimchi Jjigae, and Boo Dae Jjigae. Their Soon Dubu Jjigae (soft-tofu soup) was good, too.

Top notch Korean restaurant in this area! Side dishes very tasty, not too salty and kimchi is excellent. Gamja jeongol hotpot is fantastic and jajang noodle and dolsot bibimbap are delicious too! I saw a picture of the former UN general secretary who visit here.
