A little pricey, but has everything I want. Good quality meats, and THE best service I've ever had at a kbbq joint, that's as busy as they are during the rush. The sides are all delicious and they really take care of you. Will definitely go again when nearby.

Alyssa Lau

Delicious, great cuts of meat, worth the money, very quick and attentive service. They prepare everything for you so all you have to do is eat. We had the marinated kalbi and pork belly for two people and it was more than enough. Came with kimch, a few other side dishes, sauces and lettuce for pork belly. Cant wait to go back.

Alex Aboud

AWESOME! The food was amazing, the service was great and the atmosphere was very Korean BBQ. The menu was a little confusing at first but the waitress was very helpful and we ended up with just the right amount of food. They cooked the beef right at our table. The main beef item came with like 5 different sides included. Overall, a very unique experience paired with some truly amazing food! I will be coming back.

It’s a great place for family or friends, but need to be careful if bringing small children, since the B.B.Q grill and stove is in the middle of your table. On the 2nd floor of an office building, which we got lost because of the scaffolding that’s in front. The staff is great and takes care of everything, with the grilling of your meat, refilling your drinks or changing side dishes, we didn’t have to ask for nothing. Price is high but the quality of there meat is worth it, for 1st timers I would recommend the set platters of meats, instead of individual settings.

Brandon Coyle

The atmosphere is so fun! I love how they have decorated the place. You forgot that you are on the second floor of a commercial high-rise.

Lizzy B

I live in PA and decided to stop for a snack somewhere and wow this was amazing. The food was to die for. If I didnt live so far away I would come here at least once a week! Definitely stopping by again on my next day trip to NYC

Salah Berdouk

Not for old people like me. Music is loud. Food is good but proper New York prices...

Zyz Kak

Fantastic experience. We have never had Korean bbq before but this was awesome. Great service and fantastic experience overall. Highly recommend

Wonju Jeong

This place is massive considering it is in NYC. Only thing I wish it had was the all you can eat, because the menu is quite pricey. The meat quality was good, the server cooks the meat for you, so all you have to do is sit down and wait. Even though the place is massive, the wait can be long. On a Sunday night, we waited over an hour. It would be great if they had reservation system. It also looks like they're expanding onto the 5th floor (meaning it will be even bigger!). I love the interior decor, whimsical antique/old Korean design. All the food we tried were good. I never had a green tea cold noodle before until here and was very happy with it as well. They could also have more variety in the side dish but it's also not much a big deal since you want to eat more meat that the sides.

Total waste of money! We ordered marinated beef which had zero flavor. The typical side dishes offered in Korean restaurants did not exist here. Their soup bowl was not even full. We were waiting for rice, which is typically expected in Korean restaurants and finally asked for three bowls only to discover on our bill that they charged us extra for them! Save your time and money and go elsewhere

Yotam Kadishay

Great vibe and great quality food

Chris L

Came here for lunch. Got the bulgogi and spicy tofu soup. Overall it was pretty decent. I think the dinner menu with the BBQ was much more attractive and probably a much funnier experience but lunch was pretty standard as Korean restaurants go. I enjoyed it and would love to visit for dinner in the future.

Angela Tortilla

FREAKIN AMAZING. Don’t think twice. Just go.

Silvio L

Cool place, clearly it's not a secret as it's packed pretty much any time of day. We went at 11pm still waited about half hour. Worth it tho. Food hits the table within 5 minutes of ordering. Of course you still have to cook it yourself but that's the fun part. From there you just mix and match the grilled meats with various accoutrement and enjoy. Service is fine, it's fast paced, casual. The whole place runs like a well oiled machine. I'm a fan!

Krzysztof Szmyt

Excellent, good food and lot of it wait staff vey attentive

A M

Thank you for our first Korean BBQ experience ever! Although we had to wait longer than told, it was awesome! The food was a little bit expensive, but delicious. The waiter were very quick and friendly. Moreover, they even showed us how to eat with sticks and the best way to eat the BBQ. All in all, it was a great experience with awesome food and perfect service!

Frank Campione

Absolutely amazing experience. Was there on Friday with a large group. Food was outstanding and the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was excellent. I have a son with severe allergies. The waitress ensured that my son’s food was carefully prepared and served it to him directly. In addition, my incredibly picky 9 year old says that this was his favorite meal ever. Will visit again.

Julia C

In my opinion this is the best Korean BBQ in K-town. I have been to a couple of them but Jongro is consistently very good. Their specialty is off course the meat. We have tried other stuff there but it is not as good as the marinated meat. Also one downside are the banchan. I think Jongro could be better on the side dishes. But other than that a very consistent BBQ place.

Iiro V

By far the best Korean BBQ experience I have had. The atmosphere is crazy, the staff very attentive and friendly, and the food is just phenomenal! I have to say I’ve had Korean BBQ in LA, Seoul and a lot of other places but this was definitely the number one place on my list. Although we had to wait a bit more than an hour on a Saturday evening to get our table, it was totally worth it. I am certain I will visit again. Just amazing, daedani gomabseumnida!

Ashley Rene Casey

Good, authentic Korean BBQ. I took my kids during lunch and our meals were prepared for us AND my kids loved it. They also serve Korean alcohol which was on point! It was a little warm; not sure if the A/C was broken or just not strong.

Austin Walker

My first exposure to the wonders of Korean BBQ, although I’m partial to traditional BBQ, Jongro offers a fulfilling Korean BBQ experience. Jongro differentiates itself in Korean-Town with their premium cuts of meat and anime clad decorum. I visited with a group of four and we ordered the ribeye and hanger steak. We proceeded to devour every morsel of edible offerings. Jongro is a great choice for larger groups, celebrations, and when you’re craving food that is literally cooked before your eyes.

Courtney Nicolella

Unscrewd the tops of the soju so you cant bring me the extra with you. Also, the kimchi cleans you out. Be near a toilet

Andrew Chung

The best Korean BBQ place I've been to in NYC. Reminds me of the amazing BBQ I had in Seoul.

Zere Jingle

Excellent service once you on table. Manager was so responsive and helpful When I caught the gum on my pants (yes, some people still stick guns under the table) and gave 2 free drinks. The Only minus is big queue for table waits

Stephanie Nunez

We had a 45 minute wait after check in but the food was worth the wait. So tender and delicious. Service was amazing.

Mandy Ong

Really liked the deco but IMO this is an overrated spot. My party ordered the assorted sausage stew($27.99) + instant noodle ($2) and the soft seafood tofu soup($11.99). We received kimchee, pickled onions with jalapenos and macaroni salad for our banchan (free apps) and they were lackluster. Athough I have to agree with other reviewers that the service was brisk. The food was mediocre, therefore we will not be back as there are better Korean restaurants on the same block.

Elizabeth Overweg

Very good food and well run restaurant.

Kyuwon Lee

I have been to Jongro Bbq 4 times so far; 3 for dinner and 1 for lunch. Absolutely the greatest service every time from both Korean and non-Korean staffs. The barbecues taste almost as good as you would get in Korea. The thing I appreciate the most about this place is its distinguished vibe built on the retro-motivated Korean touch—which interests me and fascinates my non-Korean friends.

Mandi Lowrance

This past weekend was my 3rd time here, I make sure to eat here every time I’m in NY. The food is always amazing and the service is fast and courteous. We even had an hour wait and still went because it’s just that good. I enjoy myself every time there and the platters are more than filling. I will be back next time!

Wayne Torres

The food is regularly well prepared and delicious, employees hands out good service. I liked how neat it is and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

mark blanco

By far, the best meal we've had in NY! impeccable service, great atmosphere, and don't get me started on the food... Must visit if in the Korea Town area.

Kirk O'Ferrall

Beef combination platter was good. Liked the Kim Chee pancake too.

Cheryl Roux

It was my first time having Korean BBQ. First time my friends and I attempted it was for dinner and there was a very long wait with a huge crowd. We were far more successful at lunch and it was easy to understand why the dinner wait was so long. The food, service, and atmosphere was fantastic.

John Rob Richardson

Amazing K-Town experience. The Korean BBQ is top notch and delicious. If you walk by and miss it it's because the restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a typical NY high rise. Staff is great, meat is super fresh, flavors are amazing and frozen rice wine drinks are tasty.

Daniela Marín

Thia place is amazing, the Korean barbecue is really good

Jose Aves Joson

one of the best kbbq spots in nyc. great service as well!

Adit Arya

First off... Expect to wait a minimum of 45 minutes if you go for dinner at any point of the week. With that said, the food and experience was amazing. The food selection is pretty standard for a Korean BBQ place which is to be expected. Overall great and would definitely recommend.

Onome Ofoman

The wait staff was nice enough in general; one waiter was particularly nice and taught us the proper way to enjoy some of the delicacies for ex. which meats to mix with which sauces. The BBQ was delicious and I liked the laid back environment. There's also a good selection of Korean cocktails. It's a bit difficult to find. Protip: look up and you'll see the sign, then walk into the building, ask the doorman what floor the restaurant is on and then take the elevator up.

Philip Tyler

Exceptional spot to grab some food when in a hurry. The service is swift, pricing is affordable, awesome character. Will come back again

Reina Aserios

Jongro served delicious food! Imagine soup and grilled meat cooked in your presence. The ambience made the taste more enticing to eat. If 4.5 was an option then it should have been my rating. The service crew was very quick and definitely knew what to do.

Tanner Weil

This place was dope and food was great! We had never done Korean bbq but would recommend the experience and the food! Expect a long wait time, so get there early to get your name on the list. Overall wonderful experience and will go back next time I’m in the city.

Garrison Y

The real winner here is the great service from all the staff. BBQ meats were just okay.

Titan Nolan

They serve big dishes and for affordable pricing. friendly staff members. I recommend this place.

Julien H

Amazing Korean barbecue place. A bit of a wait to eat, but it was definitely worth it. Very tasty food and good service. Cool atmosphere as well with the different "pods"

Yuval Greenfield

The brisket was good, egg appetizer in a burning bowl was nice, but the kimchi was one of the best I'd had. They bring it rolled into a cute kimchi thumb.

juanmjuanmc

Great looking spot. It feels like you are in a different country when you walk down the basement and enter the beautifully decorated “den”. The food is good, but pricey. Very fun spot. Except a long wait, but you can sign up and go have a drink in the area while they text you when ready.

Michelle Yang

I come here on special occasions, such as my birthday or graduation, and this place is loved by everyone I go with. The staff are amazingly helpful with cooking the BBQ and the meat is FANTASTIC.

Dale Pomar

Best service. They cook it for you. They are real quick with cooking! Highly recommend this place due to excellent service.

Caitlin Wildhagen

Amazing food, amazing service! Cake a few minutes before dinner rush and didn't have a wait at all. Loved eating here and will definitely be coming back!!

Justin Guiel

Perfect spot for KBBQ, I go with friends pretty much for every occasion. The meats are delectable, and the sauces are out of this world. I don't know what they put in the sauce, but I want it on everything. Also it's a perfect place for a night out because in the same building is one of my favorite karaoke spots. The only downside is the wait can be insane. Usually up to an hour on weekends, but the best part is you can grab drinks at one of the 100 bars around while you wait for your table. Absolutely recommend this spot for authentic KTown BBQ

Isis Elsa

This spot is worth trying. They have big portions for fair prices. Always neat and with great vibes. I highly recommend this place.

Becky Sveska

Great food, great service and fun atmosphere!

Kira Marie

Great meet but very confusing menu. The staff was helpful but if you've never Kbbq before very difficult but extremely yummy!

Björn Kullenberg

Wonderfull food nice staff and very cheap. 2 lunch witch drinks for less than 30USD . Hard to find, you enter thru a office lobby with a grumpy guard. Definitely recommend it !

Woq C.

You have to take an elevator up, don't miss the entrance for the building! The food is so so SO good. The staff cooks for you, and they are SUPER FRIENDLY. The marinated beef is especially tasty. Their sauce with the lettuce wraps will make your mouth feel like it's tasting heaven. Must come if you are looking to eat in K town.

Hector Estrada

Hard to find, hard to make it back in the 5 minute window they give when the notification is sent out that the table is ready. Had to reschedule and wait in queue again... Food was really good

Vinny Babauta

From out of town and came here because of the reviews. Did not disappoint! Went here for a late lunch on Thursday with no wait and we're quick to serve us. It was my first time and the staff did a great explaining the menu. Went with the pork belly which was cooked at the table and it was delicious. Only thing better was the service. A must go in KoreaTown.

Greg Song Gravador

Food was excellent! Service was excellent. However, I have a complaint about the waiting on Saturdays. I tried to make a reservation via cellphone, but they told me "You can come right in." Little did I know that there was a delay happening. However, the food made it all worth it. But just the reservation problem.

Menelik Hill-Odom

Food and drink were five stars minus two because server was terrible. Not at all friendly nor accommodating for new patrons that neither spoke nor read Korean. Had to pry menu item descriptions after that the choices we made were awesome ambiance and decor were ideal for groups but as a one on one we had a good time just the two of us.

John Cardinale

Very good place, servers were VERY careful with allergies. They cook the food for you, and do a great job. Five stars.

Steve Llano

Delicious food in a very cool environment complete with K pop. Meat was amazingly fresh and the seasonings were perfect. The beer list is very limited, and be prepared to argue with your server about what you want. Ours contradicted us on every decision- "no, you don't want that, you want this" - that was the worst part about the place. The beer selection was non-existent. But as far as flavor goes, they nailed it. Will be coming back and be forceful about what I want next time!

Harrison Quail

Lively atmosphere, great for big groups or parties. Definitely a place for carnivores. Bring friends and an appetite. The music, tables, walls, and fixtures are all styled to make you feel like you're in Korea. The selection of beef and pork dishes is great, many different cuts of the animal are available for BBQing on the grills built into the tables. Large shrimp is also available for grilling for seafood fans. Because it is a "Korean BBQ" style restaurant, there aren't really appetizers, this may confuse inexperienced diners but the staff was helpful in explaining how it works - everything is a sharable entree size portion, and ordering meat automatically comes with side dishes like kimchi, onion, salad, and dipping sauce. Recommend trying: kimchi pancake, sirloin steak. Absolutely pair beef/pork with the red miso paste they offer you, it is an excellent combination.

Bo Bell

This place is dope! Tasty meats grilled on yr table, fast and friendly staff, cold beers. The decor looks like a country village. My new place to bring tourists

Amanda Knowell

Food was phenomenal. The meat was tender, juicy, and very well marinated. We had the beef skirt platter and one other dish. We went on a Friday night, we were seated quickly without having a reservation. The server wasn't to friendly but he still did his job thoroughly and that is why I am giving 5 stars. I wish we had Korean restaurants like this in Jacksonville, Fl. Food was a little pricey but it was definitely worth it!! The only recommendation I could give is add a few desserts to the menu! We will be returning customers on our trips to NYC.

Marcos Bass

Had a very good experience in this spot with my kids. The food comes out rapidly and the customer service is just good. Prices are affordable.

Lydia Chilton

Amazing Korean BBQ. We came as a group of 8 so we could make a reservation. They cooked all the meat for us at the table. It was superb! Tons of food, great alcohol, and all the side dishes are of course a true delight to sample. It's hard to find from the outside. The sign is small and you nee to take an elevator to get to it. Well worth it!

V Jinx

Food was expensive, seems like the waitress wants get off work so badly, checking her watch for several times while serving and her attitude makes me feel like we own her money. Never coming back :)

Robin C

First Korean BBQ experience. We ordered marinated beef and chicken. Portions were more than enough for 3-4 people. The food was good, stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something different. Saturday evening was busy but wait was only 15 minutes. Staff were very helpful and answered all questions. Can't wait to go back during my next visit to NYC. Restaurant is a short walk to/from Madison Square Garden

S. Bell

I would have given it 5 stars because my food was incredible but there are a few tiny complaints I had with this place. My party included 5 adults and 3 children. We were told there was an hour wait. That's fine but there was no where to wait inside and outside the street was full of the stinkiest garbage so we walked 3 blocks away and sat. We finally got a page and was told we had 5 minutes to get there. We were 3 minutes late running with kids, up the elevator and the hostess informed us we were 3 minutes late and had to wait an additional 30 minutes. So that was fun. The place is an ok size but it's pretty popular so it's way too small in that capacity. I know it's a Korean BBQ place but I was a little disappointed in the variety. It was pretty much, all beef, all pork, 2 tofu dishes and one seafood dish. I don't eat BBQ but I was dragged here by the birthday girl because this is where she wanted to go. I selected the shrimp and egg stew and the waiter informed me that he didn't think I would like it. I wasn't aware he knew what I liked but I'm glad I didn't listen to him. Apparently it's their least popular dish but my stew was better than everyone else's BBQ so I came out the winner. I was told the meat was very tender but completely underseasoned. Meanwhile my stew tasted like the flavors had been building for days. I had a great time. Only cost me $13 bucks. Pretty good. Pretty clean too. Oh yeah and the bathroom is the size of a shoebox.

Scott Lipkin

Wonderful Korean cuisine and upbeat atmosphere. With wonderful pricing!!!

Nancy Altruda

Pretty good food but not quite worth the loooooong wait.

Bria Williams

Just go with a few friends and order away. You won't regret it.

Natasha Kayotkina

Stopped here with my boyfriend on our weekend getaway. I did enjoy this place. We reserved a table through yelp and we had 18 people ahead of us on the waitlist. When we actually got to the place, it looked packed but we got seated fairly quickly. We ordered the beef platter. You could definitely tell that the meat was high quality and marinated quite well. The sides and sauces went well with the meat. And I now understand why we got seated quickly. The staff rushes to cook everything so fast, we barely had time to enjoy our food. The server did not have any manners and seemed annoyed with us when we were asking her what the meat/sides were. She also seemed to rush refilling the sauces and nearly spilled sauce and food on me several times. That's why I'm taking two stars away Overall, the food was great but the service wasn't as great.

rosanna zranchev

Great place...get there early , it gets packed for dinner. Ordered Kalbi but didn't know there were different versions. One marinated the other not. Of course we assumed it was marinated..NOT! Made the best if it...still good! Service, cleanliness, great tasting food all a plus!!

Katie Stallard

This was our first Korean BBQ experience and we’re so glad we chose Jongro BBQ! Service was just excellent. We were obvious novices and our waiter made every effort to help us, yet wasn’t the least bit patronising. It was a really special experience and one of the best meals we have in NYC. Food is delicious :)

Gevrey Cholewa

Meats are fresh and great atmosphere! you can take pork belly with the sauce, add kimchi( and raw garlic if you like), and wrap these with lettuce. Seafood pancake maybe below per. I will come here to try the Lunch combos.

Chotik Chavapokin

Great food. Great service. Must visit

Roman O

Good place, fresh food, fast and friendly service. Restroom can use make over.

Stine Vo

The meat here was tender and delicious. We ordered the marinated beef platter, glass noodles and Korean pancakes. Everything was delicious. The server was quick, but it felt very rushed. Didn’t feel like we can enjoy our meal properly because of that. Will also like to mention that the restroom facility was not the best. Will return for a quick delicious bite, but won’t stay to hang out.

Ryan Horan

Good quality meat, tables weren't too crowded. Extremely loud, limited wine/beer list. They'll do all the work on the meat for you, which is good or bad depending on your preference.

S. Uddin

Best Korean bbq experience. The server was so nice with explain how to properly eat the items. He even suggested combining the beef and condiments

Benjamin Madueme

Was very tasty, we enjoyed basically every single dish that was brought out. Service was solid too (we got to sit immediately and the food came out fast, though this was late night so ymmv during other hours). Would easily go again.

Mike Eisler

Best service I’ve ever had at any restaurant. It is K bbq and so the meats are cooked at your table. Every 60 seconds one of the staff was there to check the grill. Perfectly cooked.

Kris Männama

The meat was tasty and there was always some action going on. The bbq lady gave us plenty of privacy.

Omar Oreo

The portions were children sizes. Spent $300 & barely got enough for 3 adults (2 large marinated beef trays, they said each would be enough for 3 adults)). Service was alright but we had to go to another restaurant to actually eat. I could've eaten a large beef tray by myself.

Divine

If you like Korean BBQ then check it out. My Korean friend said it's pretty authentic! Better enjoyed with groups, can't go solo here. Tip: they don't take reservations. One of you can come early to put in name then seated when everyone is present.

Jimmy Zuehl

Really fun and lively atmosphere. Great food as well. Gets super busy, so be prepared for a wait. Sometimes up to an hour. But it's definitely worth the wait. Really authentic Korean BBQ experience.

Monique Partington

This place is the truth! Look, I’ve been to Seoul and had lots of bbq there. This place reminds me of the places in Korea! They were all friendly and efficient here. K-Pop was blaring over the speakers! The Soju was great! We got the the Large Pork Platter and it enough to feed 3 people. The pork belly was my favorite cut. I also enjoyed the egg that was cooked at the table as well. I need that recipe!

YiJia

The bbq is probably the best in the entire K-town. However, if you are looking for a quiet dinning experience, this might not be the ideal place.

Diane Kang

OG KBBQ.

Albert Liu

Excellent Korean BBQ in the city! Tried to eat here a while ago, but the wait was long so we decided to try somewhere else. Today was the day and boy was it worth it. We came at 6pm on a Monday so there was no wait and we were seated right away. We ordered the pork platter, marinated kalbi and the seafood pancake. The pancake was crispy and bursting with flavors. The meats were cooked in front of us and were melt in your mouth delicious. I recommend reservations though cuz when we left at around 730pm there was a long line in the front. Just remember that your clothes will smell like the BBQ.

Jeff Curl

Loud, rushed - fun but not very relaxing. Good food, really enjoyed the meat wrapped in lettuce and fixings. Busy so they want you out of there as soon as your're done. Staff works amazingly well - several people circle in to cook your food. I prefer a more relaxed dining experience

Kasia HP

One of the best authentic Korean rateriesy

Uzair Haq

Every time my friends visit me, this is always our go to KBBQ place. The quality of the food is incredible and has a great social environment.

Chris Panczyk

If you find this review helpful, please like it below. Jongro has a slight twist on traditional Korean BBQ and it's fantastic. Great ambience and service on top of quality cuts of beef. They could do better on Banchan. Get there early, the place gets packed.

Andrea Klancko

I LOVE this Korean BBQ restaurant! It's my favorite one so far. We have enjoyed the beef and pork platters and other ad hoc entries. We always leave full. The staff is attentive and nice. They play K-Pop music which is my daughter's favorite part of the meal. It's very popular and busy so I try to go during the off-peak times as I see a line of folks waiting to get in when we leave. The women's bathroom stalls are quite small so be prepared! They offer sodas ($2/can) and snacks in the "snack bar" when you first walk in that you need to buy from them directly.

Eugene Kang

Service and ambience is great. Food is decent for the price. Enjoyed the marinated beef more than their selection of pork but wished the flavor was bolder.

ian bell

Very authentic but even more fun than Korean bbq in Seoul

gea soriano

I keep on coming back here whenever I'm in the city. I don't want to try anything else.

Pratik Desai

Great service, meat selection, and drink selection. Not the best korean bbq on the street, but definitely a top choice.

farshs SPS

Very nice place. Amazing beef..like fresh meat, not frozen. Our waiter was amazing. Polite and yet funny.

Pam

I did not like the Beef Short Rib Soup at all. Zero stars for the soup. The Beef Kalbi was good, four stars for that. The atmosphere is nice but the air is stale. The people working there were nice, and the service was good .

Charles Liu

All the bbq work taken care of to perfection. Wish they have this here in toronto

Kev Roops

Sunday quick lunch. Did the job good bbq

Jill Marinakis

Love this place. I am not Korean, but I do travel there quite often. Jongro BBQ offers the most authentic Korean BBQ - most similar to what I have experienced throughout South Korea. The food is immensely flavorful, and the quality is superb. What makes Jongro top notch is their superior service. Note that the Queens location is just as great. PS - be sure to have the Kim chi soup.

Jessica

First experience here was pretty average. We didn’t have to wait long to get a table for the bbq. One thing that I didn’t quite like was how rushed we felt. We had just sat down and was then asked multiple times whether we had what we wanted to eat yet. Our food did come pretty fast, fortunately, and the foods were immediately cooked by the waiters and waitresses. One thing was that the beef platter was a bit plain and dry for my taste and we didn’t have much sauces for the beef. When I bit into the beef, I found it a little bit harder than usual to chew apart and that there wasn’t much taste. Perhaps ordering a marinated beef platter would have been a better option. We ended up not finishing the platter and was able to bring the remaining home in a takeout box.

Hainan Xu

Their food is very good however super pricey for their tiny portions. We spent close to $50 per person and I'm still not full.

Dmytro Kovalenko

Definitely 5! Flavourful and delicious food. Beautiful ambience, as if you got into Korean village. Fast service and reasonably priced.... And best kimchi :)

Khays Atlas

Delicious beef meat. I enjoy this restaurant. Very nice service. Everything was perfect.

Cecilia Ponte

Always super crowded, there is always a wait time, but it's worth it. The BBQ is delicious. Tables are specious enough to allow all the items of the BBQ without feeling cramped. The service is amazing, super fast and efficient. We ordered, the pork marinated ribs, the beef ribs, AND a noodle and seafood soup. All cooked on the table! The atmosphere is very relaxed, family friendly, mostly very young crowd.

Alya Muflahi

Total waste of money. We went out for food and drinks and were denied drinks because one in our party did not have an ID. Understandable. So we told the waiter we would leave. He assured us that we didn’t have to do that and took our orders (including drinks). Lo and behold, we got our food and no drinks. We asked the other waiter where our drinks were and he said the first waiter told him we couldn’t have drinks at our table. Don’t waste your time. Miss Korea is way better (for food and service).

Andriy Yatsykiv

While the interior design and service are truly excellent (makes you feel as if you are sitting inside an outdoor Korean marketplace located within the building), the somewhat low amount of meat served for the price is what knocks off one star for this review. While the lines here get pretty long on Fridays, you can reserve a spot in line and they'll give you an estimate for when a table will free up and text you back when your seat is ready.

Young Koepke

So much food! My friends and I had a great time. The wait for three people were about an hour during Saturday night around 6, and we walked around the K town area until the table is ready- there is soooo much to see. The food and drinks were amazing- side dishes were being refilled constantly and staffs were very helpful. Will be back again!

eric yun

No joke most efficient service of any restaurant I can remember food was also really good.

Larry Lok

Authentic Korean. Even the atmosphere and the decorations are authentic Korean. Great food. I didn’t get barbecue, I just had some stews and spicy rice cake which were also great.

Jason Jeong

High quality cuts with great marinade. Great service from the whole team that work together!

Chase Gale

Incredible beef and swine, perfectly cooked! Photo makes it seem quiet - quite the contrary, every time I've been it's been super busy.

Ariel Tuazon

Excellent food, great service.

이정원

Great place for us. Everything is absolutely same with the Korea, so I almost could feel be in Seoul. Thank you for server's tough service.

Victor Munoz

Excellent. First time eating at a Korean restaurant. Truly Recommend will love the experience. Don’t forget to try the soup.

Joshua Goldfarb

This was my go to spot in Korea town, good food, little over priced and always crowded, but good. However, I will NEVER come here again because they are extremely rude and militant. We were told 10 minutes and after waiting around for 30 they finally sat us. We ordered beers and the waiter ID'ed each of us, one of the gentlemen at our table who is 30 did not have his ID. With that the manager stormed over to our table berating us, that we could not order drinks if ONE person at our table did not have an ID. The manager stood over our table was so nasty and aggressive, like military general. We were so caught off guard, that we simply walked out. When Jongro is crowded/ popular they do not care about customer service because they were just so rude.

This was completely authentic as straight from Seoul! Loved every aspect, the food was fantastic and they kept refilling everything as we ate. Every waiter walking by would check on you and help with the grill and made sure every need was met. If you don't know, every table has its own grill and vent so your food is cooked right at your table

I actually enjoyed their food and customer service, great area next to my house. The cashiers are always kind. I highly recommend this place.

Jonathan Muller

Very unique place to eat. The food here was great, and the service was excellent. I just wish it was cheaper. That said, nothing is like this place. They cook the food right on your table in a stove. The smoke goes up a long vent right above it, it's quite fascinating. Despite the price, I'd suggest anyone to try this at least once for the experience.

Woo Jae Park

great korean bbq at wonderful prices

Really liked this place. Great quality beef. Service is very quick and attentive too. If you’re a party of at least two, they have nice meat platters to share that come with complimentary sides. Also a good place to bring a date as it’s very entertaining. Just make sure she is not vegetarian.

Service was good don't get me wrong but the food was way less than dipicted. The brisket was straight up like bacon that shrunk. The food really wasn't enough overall. I would rather do separate entrees for the price we paid. Otherwise it was a good experience and folks should try it out at least once in their lives.

Like other people here already said be warned. We were a party of 3 +1 child. Ordered the $126 combined platter. What you get for the money is technically 2 steaks of $30 value, plus $5 in sides, which were a joke. Yes, you can order more sides as much as you want, but when you are through with the meat, there is no more reason to order more. Everything rushed...waiter missed half of the order on the drinks, being in a rush. While we were still eating, the waiter would throw the meat off the grill and onto our plates to clean up, no polite word, not asking who wants what kind of meat. When we were through with the meat...no kidding...one person in my party asked what I would think we are getting served next. That moment when I replied "that's it"...priceless. You feel like your are being feed like cattle, rather than being served bbq. The two stars is because the location has some style and the meat was tasting good. One more thing. Music was too loud, we had a hard time trying to understand each other. For us there will be no 2nd time.

Waited for about five minutes, then we were seated. I ordered a mix of oxtail, cow tongue, and pork belly. Good but prices are overwhelming compared to deliciousness and quantity. My experience was decent.

Best grilled meats in Koreatown. Good soups. Thats pretty much whats good. Kinda pricey (averaged $150pp) for location and decor.

heather shedd

Such a fun place to go! If you want to cook it yourself you can or a server will pretty much do it for you! The quality of the meat is so good!

iPhredrik !

Awfully noisy! Mostly wanted to rip off my ears during the whole stay. Food was amazing, but way overpriced. Will never go there again

Let me start off by saying I have only tried Korean Food once before coming here. I had very little knowledge on what to order but the waitress was helpful in assisting my cousin and I in ordering the right items. The best item we ordered was the spicy rice cakes. I could not stop eating it. Loved the atmosphere, energy and feel of the place despite it being really late at night.

Luna G

Ordered the marinated beef platter, pork check and seafood pancake. The beef was juicy and tender, very flavorful. It also has a good portion of fat and lean meat. The pork check was outstanding, chewy and delicious with the sauce. The pancake was just ok. Vegetables and steamed eggs came in for free. They also provided unlimited lettuce. The service was very fast and attentive. A little pricey though, average $50 including tips.

Jenn Jones

Delicious. Continuous, fast service.

Loved the attentiveness of the servers. Excellent meat. The prices are fair for the quality of meat provided. The servers take care of you really well if they know it's your first time at a Korean BBQ and explain everything patiently.

Emily Aragon

Excellent food, great atmosphere, and good service! We did not have to wait for a table (though it was a Tuesday night). We got the marinated beef and rice cakes. The most surprising thing was how good the egg side was.

Maxwell Mosley

One of my favorite restaurants in the world, the meat here is unrivaled. The banchan is delicious and unending and the staff seem happy which is always a good sign. The atmosphere is really fun with good music and a nice bustle. The wait can be long so arrive early, this place is always crowded.

Sean N

It's an interesting place. You walk in to the business building where you get greeted by the hostess. After you check in, you would take the elevator upstairs where it opens to a unique theme which is the restaurant. I love the theme that they had going on and to top it all off, the food was one of the best Korean BBQ I've had this far.

Borui Gu

Great service, always give us what we need before asking. Beef tongue is really good (both in terms of texture and taste)

Fatima Reyes

Amazing food and customer service, we never lacked any side dishes, if anything it was too much! Best kbbq I’ve been to, will definitely come back next time I’m in New York.

Eric Chu

Oh man the meat was juicy.. I got the $80-90 beef combo and I loved it. I just wish they gave you more for the price, would come back again

Guillermo H.

One of the best Korean bbq in Manhattan. Loved the experience and the place (hidden in a 2nd floor). Pretty big and good service (they cook in front of you). Always make a reservation.

Ronald Regine

Food was good but for the price they could have given us a little more food. Other than that it was a nice experience.

LAVENDER WEATHER

I went when there only 2 other tables being used so it was relatively quiet. The staff were a bit off- kept forgetting to bring us water and rice until I reminded them. They also came over and helped with the BBQ after we ate half of it already. The food is amazing, just the service is mediocre.

Kat Harrison

If you're looking for Korean barbecue in New York City there is no other place that you should go other than jongro. Staff was attentive and suggested the best options for newbies to the restaurant. Food was delightful and delicious. Make sure you get there early as the wait can be a little long. But if you're looking for real Korean BBQ this place can't be beat.

Sage LC

What an Experience. Modern Atmosphere. Excellent Food and curtious Staff. Must Visit!

Kate Liang

The meat quality was great, unfortunately the waiter didn’t know how to cook the medium rare perfectly so some were burnt. Music is loud and terrible. Not worth the wait and price.

Kimmy B

This place was PACKED when we got there. We made the mistake of not reserving our seat on Yelp or calling ahead - so do this before hand because the wait time can get pretty long, esp on a weekend. We waited about 2 hours. I know that's crazy but we wanted to see if it was worth the hype & boy was it worth it! The quality of the meat was amazing. It was so delicious. They have different grills depending on the meat & they grill it for you. The sides were great & paired perfectly with the meats. We really liked the egg dish that was also included. It was so fluffy & flavorful. The service was good - at least the day I went. They were attentive, friendly & refilled the sides without us asking. We didn't feel rushed at all during our meal. I would definitely go here again. It is a bit pricy but you're paying for the quality over quantity & even though we ordered only one of the meat platters & one additional meat, we were stuffed.

Roxana

AMAZING!!! The food is so delicious, we are all in a food coma.

Brandon Smith

Absolutely fantastic, great wait staff and they make the food for you

Adam H

Great food! Freshly cooked crispy chicken! Charming atmosphere, feels like a Korean village street

Tito Chatzis

fun place. decent food. great service.

Anil Asokan

Food was great and service was curtious if somewhat rushed. Not the place to meet someone if you want to catch up but a great place to eat.

Jade Watkins

Great service, exciting atmosphere. Best Korean BBQ for sure. Marinated plate was delicious and so was the seafood tofu soup! Be prepared for a long wait though, got there at 9pm on a Friday night (day after Valentine's though) and waited an hour and a half, but you can go walk around other parts of K-town.

Dairy Smew

Great Korean bbq like original

Brett Kuras

Great place alcohol choices were limeted and portion were a little small. the food quality was very good as was the service.

Rahul Maingi

Was walking by Korea Town and started carving BBQ Korean food. Walked into this restaurant on a Sunday night. Had to wait 15 mins for a table of 2. We got the Prime Kalbi Beef and Korean Sea food pancake. One word “delicious”. Loved the Korea theme.
