Must try. 6 stars!!!

Federico Loconte

Great service and delicious noodles!

Hani Keirouz

Best ramen in NYC

Andrea Lerdo

Never again. I cannot believe this place has a Michelin Star. I had the pre fixed menu, each dish as bland and unsurprising as the next.

ND

had the fluke for an appetizer which was amazing! ramyun was also fantastic

Martina Choi

Supreme service. I borrowed iPhone charger from staff. I’d love to recommend Toro Ssam Bap which is absolutely delicious but a little expensive($25) cuz it’s just an appetizer and it’s not gonna make you full. You can also add uni on it with extra $13. you can also eat it with free sheets of seaweed. At around 7pm, we have to wait for 30 mins for a table. You can’t call them to make a reservation. But you can email them.

Rui Xiong

Had a good experience at this place. Great staff explaining everything on the menu. We ordered rich broth noodle bowls - and they were both a bit too heavy for our taste. The price did not justify the noodle bowls. You can find plenty of other great tasting ramen/noodle places in the city for significantly less. I would recommend try them out if you are around the area.

Wilson Wong

Great noodles and broth

Myun Song

Salty food without balance. It may look pretty but food is absolute garbage. Instant cup noodle is 100 times better than their noodle.

Marco Cornetti

Best pork bun in my life. Very good ramen as well

New Yorker

I came for brunch alone after gym to have a quick noodle lunch! They didn’t allow me to dine alone. Two people minimum, they said. I had to leave. There are some Michelin 3 star restaurants where don’t take reservation for one for course menu dinner but this is a noodle shop.

Arrived on a Tuesday evening slightly before 6pm for a party of two. Restaurant was about half full and was able to be seated immediately. This place exceeds expectations and I can see why it's a Michelin star restaurant. Service was impeccable for a noodle shop with knowledgeable staff, who thoroughly explain each dish that comes out. The dishes were innovative. They take traditional Korean food and ingredients and add a twist (hence, modern fusion Korean cuisine?). Food was quite amazing and bursting with interesting flavors. Their signature "So Ramyun" is a veal broth. Such a unique noodle broth, but it was delicious. There is a strong veal taste but not overpowering; broth is creamy but not too heavy. Price here may be higher compare to other noodle restaurants but fair being Michelin star and for the quality of food.

I definitely recommend it.food is not just great it's amazing it will blow your mind.the staffs really nice.i dont have words to really put everything together it's just "oh my lord"

Ehud Persitz

2nd time here. Everything is just perfect. From the small fine touches of the serving to the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Try the tasting menu and take a few additional side dishes. A must in NY.

George Zhang

Ramyun was pretty good. Like any hip ramen shop, the portions are extremely small. This place is a bit pricey for the portion size but every ingredient was cooked well. Be prepared to find another meal as you may not be full.

David Wu

Im really grateful towards my friend who introduced this place to me. I went there with 3 friends of mine, there were a la carte, and prefix menu. We went with a la carte, and every dish we ordered taste really delicious. We ended up spending the same amount of money as if we have ordered the prefix. I dont mind the price since the food was worthy, but im taking 1 star as the waiter didnt explain how the prefix works in there.

john kim

From the outside, the restaurant is reminiscent of Edward Hoppers Nighthawks painting. But unlike the painting, the food inside is far from diner food. The ramen here is different than what I've had back home but well worth the wait. Noodles are firm, the broth is rich as and the flavors are just right. Would definitely recommend if your visiting the city.

Leilani Leng de Vera

My friends and i really enjoyed the food here. The staff were great too. The food is not overwhelming..

Natalia Królak-Johansen

What an experience ! Went for the 6 Course Menu and I absolutely loved everything about their food ! On top of that, the service is very friendly and they know so much about all their ingredients. Would love to go there again

Mony Kiem

Every dish I had here exceeded my expectations and my expectations were high coming in. Each bite I took showed distinct flavors that elevated the dish and brought it to the next level. On top of all that, great value for the money considering it’s a Michelin star restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Michael Rogers

This place was great. We did the prix-fixe brunch. It was amazing an more food than you would expect. You won't leave hungry.

Joseph Smith

So delicious. Staff was incredibly gracious and accommodating. Server/cook was informative and friendly. Would recommend.

Victor Sotelo

Awesome service, really delicious and original tasting ramen. My favorite was the So-ramyun, like a rich yet super clean suleongtang. Lived up to the hype for sure.

Aaron Royer

I live nearby and noticed it’s always packed, so when a friend who is a connoisseur of Korean food came for dinner, I suggested Jeju. We loved it, great service and super tasty. Chill music and cool vibe. The nengmyun was excellent.

gmalibu7

It was a very disappointing dining experience. I went there because of a famous chef’s review of the restaurant as the best Korean American restaurant in NYC. However, it was my worst overall dining experience in NYC, let alone how hard it could be to get a noodle bar wrong? Esp given that I absolutely love noodles. Their specialty is NOT noodles. Their specialty is also NOT Jeju - I don’t know why they take that name because they ruin the image of a beautiful Jeju island. They cannot demonstrate their specialty let alone live up to their name. They claimed on the receipt that their “chefs also do the serving.” BUT they are definitely NOT chefs who were serving, NOT even apprentices, but only like entry-level servers who are wearing chef’s coat and apron. They have a lovely open kitchen, however, its just a fake open kitchen, they are just slicing pieces of tuna for ceviche which they take out from a mini-fridge, and tapping beer, from the beginning to the end of our meal, approx 1.5 hours (half of the time which was waiting for our food) that is all I could observe going on in the open kitchen. The manager didn’t know what was going on with the customers right in front of his eyes. The service people do not communicate at all. And they do not know what’s happening in the kitchen or in the dining area. We got our first dish after 40 minutes, although the dining area was half empty. After we complained, they gave a complementary dish but it came AFTER our first order, so they already had ruined our dinner time. The way they apologized was unprofessional and only confirmed to us how disorganized they were in the service and kitchen area. Although the chef claims that they are a Korean -Jeju noodle bar, they have definitely lost their identity and they are lost somewhere between Thailand and Japan. They didn't even manage to get the temperature right, as the noodles were quite lukewarm. There are so many good Korean-American restaurants launched in NYC, but this is definitely not one of them.

Delicious! Distinct flavors in each bite, beautiful presentation, friendly servers! Will be back!

Chris Ng

Highly recommend this restaurant. Food is fresh and wait staff are amazing. This place should be everybody's go-to for noodles and also needs to be a must for everybody in NYC.

Okja Kim

During my visit to NYC, I had great memories at amazing korean restaurant 'Jeju Noodle Bar'. The food was fantastic, very innovative, great combination of taste, texture, art and also reasonable price.Very nicely designed space with a professional and friendly staffs welcomed me. Thank you to the chefs, I was always satisfied at Jeju Noodle Bar. I would like to eat Jeju's wonderful food for long time~ Keep up the good works!!! Either you are resident or visitor, you must visit 'Jeju Noodle Bar' definitely.

Michelle Park

Love Jeju Noodle Bar - the staff is always so friendly and attentive, and the food is always delicious.

Rebekah Davis

The wagu beef ramyun is yum, yum, yum!

Em J

Oh. My. Gosh. I will never be able to eat another satisfactory bowl of noodles ever again. Jeju has ruined any chance of that. Where to start? When the soup arrived at the table (in a hot stone bowl - genius! Kept it hot throughout the meal!) we immediately got hit with a delicious aroma of grilled steak! It was like standing over a BBQ of sizzling beef! And the broth, oh man, the broth. So complex, with this deep, rich, buttery creaminess. Everything about it was so rich and packed with flavour. You could taste the quality of the ingredients, even the wood ear fungus that was crisp but not chewy and felt like an important element in the dish instead of just an afterthought garnish. The buckwheat noodles had the perfect chew, tender but not mushy with just the right bite, and they soaked up the rich veal flavour. My mouth is watering while I write this lol. We started with the grilled squid and everything about that was amazing from the perfect doneness of the squid, to the surprising and delicious green tea infused oil, the dipping sauce and even the side of Marcona almonds! The service was attentive without being overt and the staff are knowledgeable and carefully explain the dishes. All around a great experience and I would definitely eat here again. They absolutely earned their Michelin star!

Suzanne Hyun

Great atmosphere and service. This place is amazing!! Best ramen I’ve ever had. They also have delicious appetizers. Love coming here with my friends.

Kevin Nierstedt

Since I moved to NYC I’ve been eating as much ramen as I can, trying all the top recommended places to hole in the wall places. JeJu has been one of my favorites and I wish I lived closer! Definitely over ordered but powered through because of how good everything was. The restaurant space is nice and elegant but still has a relaxed vibe. The neighborhood is also a cool area to hang out in.

Jeremy Janas

A modern noodle bar with well executed food with style and balanced flavors. I had the So-Ramyun which is a slightly thick broth that is full of flavor. Roasted garlic, brisket and mushrooms. The broth looks like a clam chowder but thinner. Add the soft boiled egg!! Overall presentation is solid and I can't wait to come back and try the other items on the menu. Heads up CC or debit only. Sorry no cash.

Sophie Kim

Awesome food! Highly recommend 6 course prix fixe.

heeyeon lee

Loved the dining experience at Jeju Noodle Bar! Every dish we tried was fresh and delicious, and the space was airy and beautiful. Chefs rotate working in the kitchen and also serving. Highly recommend!!

Hai Ngo

Solid. Pricey. Fun! Great service.

Ari Silver

Best ramen ever

Ashley Chen

Got the set menu; portions were a bit small but enjoyable nonetheless. I would say the stand out dish would be the cold noodles topped with truffle in a cold soy milk soup. Probably wouldn’t go again but was worth the experience!

Dan Ng

Great Korean Noodle Bar. Amazing food, dining experience, and staff. Had almost every dish on the menu. Nothing but the freshest ingredients. Highly recommend the chicken wings and Ssam Ssam buns for appetizers.

Ty Wise

Some of the best noodles I've ever had. Service is good and pretty fast. I had the So Ramyun and added the Sooran Egg and they were some of the best noodles I've ever had. The brisket was so delicious and the veal broth was as unbelievable. I really want to try the wagyu Ramyun when I go back. I didn't even realize till now that it has a Michelin star. I can definitely say it is well deserved. Definitely need to make a reservation if you're going on the weekends. The told us it would be an hour wait but then it ended up only being 15 minutes. They text you when your table is ready which is really great so you can walk around the area while you wait.

Lisa Kim

Everything was good but it was a bit salty. The kimbup was not as beautiful as I expected it. It is the first Michelin for noodle place. It worths the try. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

j jung

I had the most amazing brunch at Jeju. The food, ambience, and the service was impeccable. Can’t wait to visit again to try all the dishes!

Tad Hwang

Too expensive to pay that much

Joe N

Might be one of my favorite bowls of ramen in the city! Beautiful dinning room too, great addition to the neighborhood. It's hard for me not to order the wings and spicy pork ramen, its such a good combo. Look forward to coming back to try other things on the menu.

B Leonard

Do the tasting menu huge amount of caviar with the upgrade! Loved every dish!

Nhi Ngo

creative modern Korean food, simple but fun menu, really tasty! Service was fast even though it was crowded (Friday night). They have an interesting model where cooks take turns each day to cook and server (no waiter/server), which is really clever I thought. Highly recommended.

Karan Sethi

Good location right next to the subway, and tasty ramen at a decent price.

Noah Cynkar

Stopped in for dinner and the food was amazing. The pork belly was some if the best I've had. Overall this was a really cool place and it had excellent service as well. The meals are also very filling. Would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for a unique spot.

曾宇瑄

Literally the best noodle in my life! They mixed a little bit Chinese style with Japanese! Very creative! I would recommend their Bao appetizer!

Joey Cho

Nice but salty and pricy

Kevin Shen

I liked this establishment. There were no servers at this restaurant - the cooks were the ones that took orders and they were knowledgeable with recommendations and giving insights to the dish, and I found that to be a great experience. We ordered the Toro Ssam Bap to start. It was flavourful and a great appetizer to start with, and I got the Wagyu Ramyun as the main. After thinking about it, I was a bit disappointed - I was expecting cubes of wagyu beef but the beef was draped over my bowl in raw, thin strips which reminded me of the thin slices of meat used in hot pot. The beef was tender (although how much it was because of the thinness I don’t know) and it gave upset my stomach after despite the cook’s advice to cook them in the hot broth of my bowl.

Helen Zhao

Delicious ramyun - absolutely worth the money! Service is great, everyone is friendly. Make a reservation because this place is tiny and seating is limited. Truffles come in a bejeweled box and are shredded in front of you.

Michael Zhao

Expensive but savory food. Got the ssam bop--typical of expensive restaurants: smaller portions, but atypical of expensive restaurants is the relatively good taste of the food.

Musho Pea

The wagyu noodles have a strong beef aroma and is overall a good eat. Add the egg for $2 because it's so perfectly cooked! The downside is idk if I'm cooking the wagyu properly. I wish they had tea on top of their extensive alcohol selection. Service is stellar - they even reply instantly to my Google maps messages!

Scott Morris

Amazing Korean noodle bar with delicious shareable starters. Good wine list. Talented kitchen staff led by a Michelin-credentialed chef. No detail is overlooked. I've been three times already and have been equally happy and satisfied leaving each time. Well worth trying.

Ashley Lee

I’ve never had Korean inspired fusion noodle (ramyun) dishes like this before and let me tell you it was such a delightful experience. It was water in your mouth delicious and the service was amazing for such a busy place. Skip the ramen for once and try this place out! You won’t be disappointed!

Gabriella Howard

The chicken wings were delicious and prime ribeye was tasty. Very much deserved the michelin Star

Kelly Rivera

Top quality Ramyun. Great atmosphere as well.

Alex Liu

We got the chicken wings, the pork noodle soup, and the beef noodle soup. The wings were the best part of the meal: hot and crispy, with an umami-blasted dip. The beef noodles came in the richest beef bone broth I’ve ever had, and was a standout choice. The only drawback was that the beefiness was almost overwhelming, and it was on the saltier side, too, quite unlike the milder Korean seolleongtang it seemed inspired by. The spicy pork noodles were good, but they weren’t particularly stand-out. The broth didn’t have much flavor besides “hot and sour”, and the pork belly, while seared to a lovely crisp, was closer to being tough rather than a melt-in-your-mouth experience. If you want more traditionally prepared Korean food, go to K-town or Flushing. If you’re okay with having a Western-polished execution of Korean dishes, this place is pretty good.

Edwin Pratt

Divine noodles and the tuna was outstanding. Must go back soon!

WELLS웰스뷰티연구소

perfect Japanese style Korean ingredients food

Kimberly Gooch

Honestly, I was a little skeptical coming in, but I was so thoroughly impressed. Both the chicken wings and ramen were amazing. Easily one of the best meals I've ever had.

Len Yeh

I really wanted to love Jeju, but it honestly wasn't that memorable, considering the competition in New York. It's still a great restaurant with a fantastic vibe. It's worth a try!

xxmiko

Love the ambiance! They do offer a 6 courses for 45$ for 2 person, which is really worth it, or it's "À la carte". The service was fine. At the end, the waiter was rushing because they wanted to fill up more customer (I was there until around 8h30). The food was amazing. The noodle was actually a let-down compare to the broth and the rest of the ramyun. At least, it wasn't over cook nor soggy. For sure, it could have been better! FRIENDLY TIP: CALL TO RESERVE BEFORE COMING. THE WAITING TIME IS AROUND 1.5H! NOTE: they only accept debit or credit

Sang-Won Kim

Decent Korean food

Ros B

As a fan of ramen and a fan of Korean food, I didn't think I could go wrong with this place - and I was right. It is really good! I tried the Gochu Ramyun, which was very good but not very spicy. I would have appreciated a little more spice but the flavor was good. It tastes a lot like the standard gochujang chili paste you'd find in traditional Korean food. My friend got the Fish Coop and I have to say this is definitely the most unique ramen/ramyun I have had. It is really good! It is surprisingly light for a noodle soup and has a very good flavor. I kind of wish I got this instead and I'll be getting it the next time I come here. The decor and everything else is very nice as well, it feels pretty upscale for a noodle shop. The staff are very pleasant and it wasn't overly crowded (although I was here on a rainy weekday so your experience may vary). Definitely recommended!

May Lee

Lovely, cozy place with elegant, refined food.

Alan Willard

Amazing. The soup broth is something unreal. If you get there early the wait isn't bad at all

Dih-Lin Wong

Well deserved accolades, exceptionally well done elevating Korean food in NYC. The prix fixe is the way to go if it's your first time. We were informed that the portions are, for the most part, the same as ordering a la carte, so worth it. The summer prix fixe includes: fried chicken, tuna ssam, truffle tofu, beef ssam, noodle of your choice, and dessert. All the appetizers are good. Of the appetizers, the toro and beef ssams are absolute musts if you opt for a la carte. Add uni to the Toro ssam, and you'll thank me later. Fried chicken was good and tofu was good, but can definitely opt out of a la carte. Of the ramyuns, we chose the gochuramyun. We only had one bowl, but I can infer that every ramyun is good there. The gochuramyun was so thoughtfully executed. The gochujang seemed to have a lot of different peppers going on, even some mala Sichuan peppers. The accoutrements though. There was white kimchi, pork belly, egg (additional cost), wood ear, cabbage, scallions, and sliced garlic. First of all the white kimchi was perfect to cut through the strong pork broth, necessary. The egg was sweetened to add more depth, necessary. The sliced garlic was so clutch too. Way more complex than any ramen shop in NYC, hands down. Cannot contest. Anywho, great place for anyone. It's not too bougie, not too Asian, and not too expensive. Service is great as well. No complaints.

H G

One star for the SO SO ramen. Portions are small and this place is not kids friendly.

Andrew Parke

Unbelievable! Absolutely one of the best values in the Village, if not the entire city. Congrats on one star Michelin! ⭐️

Mia R

Not sure how this place got a Michline star: The experience was underwhelming- pork belly tasted dry/rubbery, ramen was avarage. The fatty tuna was the only dish we enjoyed among 5-6 different dishes. Disappointing...

Matt B

I had never heard of ramyun before, and the dish really impressed

Shirley S

Checked out the place on Sunday night. We had reservations but arrived early so we decided to try our luck and see if we can bump it up. We got lucky and 15 minutes later we got a table. We went with the prix fixe menu and I was slightly confused about the noodle part. I see in fine print that the meal was family style but didn't think that the noodles was shared as well. I understand that it is very normal practice in Korea to share soups and noodles but I felt a but uncomfortable with it. One, it is the cold and flu season. Two, I was sick and me sharing a soup base with my boyfriend would mean risking him getting sick too. I think it would've been more enjoyable if they had the option to split the noodles for you. The food was absolutely delicious! The fried chicken wings was lightly battered and the dipping sauce was not over powering. The the Toro ssam bap was my favorite out of the tasting menu! Must try! The corn was good but nothing special. The steak was delicious! Very tender and almost melts in your mouth. Then the prized noodles, the broth was rich and flavorful. The different cuts of beef was tender. It was delicious. Because we were sharing it, the soup cooled down a bit while we split the pot. Finally, dessert was ice cream. Chocolate and raspberry sorbet. The chocolate was rich and the raspberry was refreshing. The portions were just right! We were a bit worried that it wasn't going to be enough but we were full. I would come back and try the other noodles and the brunch menu next time.

Bob Lou

Fantastic ramyun!! The veal broth tasted like the aroma of beef on the grill. It was incredibly decadent and it makes me wonder if they used heavy cream in the broth. The pork ramyun was also rich and overflowing with flavor. The amberjack salad was beautifully plated and the taste of a sweet and spicy gochugaru sauce with a Korean "chimichuri" was an innovative combination. Elegant and modern decor.

Mandy Kuo

My friend and I each got the lunch set. Mine was vegetable based mushroom noodles (Miyuk Ramyun) and my friend got the braised brisket Noddles (Cha Ramyun). Mine was good just not something amazing that I'd crave again. It's an expected taste from lots of mushrooms. We both found the minced pork rice dish too salty. The hostess was not prefessional in fact a bit rude.

Qinnie Liang

Food tasted fine, but that was all it was. Not worth the hype. Prices were a bit high for the fare. We visited on the weekend so there was a bit of a wait. Tables are small and in close proximity of each other so it can feel somewhat tight. Don't expect too much privacy since you can hear your neighbor's conversation from the closeness.

Niamh Parsley

Love, love, love this place. Did the prix fix. Perfect amount of food. The noodles were fantastic, as was everything else. Pretty affordable option for what is offered. The environment feels casual and hip. Lovely location too.

Krishna Haridas

Very friendly service in a dimly lit welcoming spot on Greenwich Street. The mood inside the restaurant perfectly complimented the grey cloudy feel of NYC that guests can enjoy through the huge clear windows. Food was good but my favorite of the day was Makku- the canned Korean rice wine they served. I personally preferred the myun set to the dang set. Point to note- no desserts here so don bring your sweet tooth !

David Shane

Cute noodle bar tucked into the west village. T space looks pretty spare, but the service is attentive and helpful. The menu is creative and reasonably priced. It's better to go with a reservation or you'll likely wait over an hour for a table. Start with any of the appetizers or small plates and then get one of the ramen bowls. The one with fish stock is unique.

Anthony Chow

Jeju offers a tight menu of traditional and fusion ramen. If you want do pickles in your ramen broth, you can get it here. Its prime location, fancy-pants decor and creative menu do add to a meal that's pricier than it might otherwise be.

Sook Hyun

I can't until my next New York trip so I can eat here again! It is Korean fusion noodle bar so don't go expecting Japanese Ramen. The menu items are mind blowing-ly good. I had the Toro Ssam Bap and I can't get over how good it was. The ramen was so good too! If you love Korean food you must try the Korean food inspired noodles too! I love the idea that the chefs are your servers. They give great professional recommendations and make sure you are satisfied with your order.

Linda Grigorik

We tried the tasting menu at Jeju and it was delicious! We got a chance to try their ramen and some of the other highlights. It was a good amount of food for two people, definitely recommend it!

Claire Zhang

Nice and cozy noodle shop to stop by. Great beef broth base! It’s a good choice to have quick lunch/dinner.

Byungkun Rho

The restaurant is nice and the staffs are very kind. However I am disappointed with the food. I had So-Ramyun and the broth was so thick and it seems like the broth has a lot of gelatin inside. I could not find any Korean element in the noodle and it was all too much of everything. I do not think that I will come back. Oh egg was nice tho.

Melanie Tam

This place is all over-priced hype. To be honest, I never even heard of Jeju, let alone the fact that it had a Michelin star. My friend suggested this place for dinner and I thought sure, why not? I've never had Korean ramen before. I saw that they are on Open Table, but I didn't see any availability. So we decided to just go at 5:30 on a Monday, because we didn't know how long the wait would be. The place was pretty empty, but it was also pouring, and a 45-degree day in May. I'm sure they're normally a lot busier. To start, we had Toro Ssam Bap (fatty tuna, scrambled egg, tobiko rice, toasted seaweed). I really loved this. They give you this little sheets of seaweed, and you wrap it yourself. The egg was a nice touch. However, this cost $25, and I'm just not sure it was worth it. The appetizer costs more than the main. Speaking of the main, I had the So Ramyun (veal broth, brisket, scallion, pickled garlic, garlic oil. The first few bites were good. I liked the raw beef, and just letting it cook in the broth (same idea as pho). But after a while, it started feeling pretty heavy. The broth is SUPER rich so if you're not into that, you won't like this. The noodles itself were not anything special. Bottom line - don't let the Michelin star fool you.

Jiwon Choe

It’s a heart breaking two stars. Why oh why. Upon entering, staffs were everywhere with the warm invite, attentive in a brightly lit Jeju noodle bar. The appetizers: The toro ssam bap was very well structured topped with balancing delicacies with the right amount of saltiness. it’s a real work of art that would come out of the Korean infused kitchen. Delicious. The tuna yuk hwe was ok with its subtlety of the flavors, almost bland even with the garnishings, but the savory flesh of the tuna saved the day. The main course: Wagyu ramyun was beautifully prepared with the bone marrow broth that would make you dream of and drool over its collagen richness, though the amount of greasiness was a bit overwhelming. I have to say the noodle itself was plain simple and rather disappointing. So ramyun was well balanced with its ingredients and the broth I would recommend this dish to anyone new to get this. This ramyun is the real deal, it is absolutely delicious. So why two stars? It was the GM. The only soju served at Jeju, called the Dae jang bu which isn’t served in every Korean restaurants was very welcoming to see because it’s not just good, but it is probably the best soju you can find in the states with its brightness and a hint of mint that is just delicious to sip on. It’s a single distilled rice wine meaning the ingredients were top notch clean and pure. The flavor of this soju will speak for itself. The gm’s explanation on the soju when asked was that is “crisp”. “It’s just crisp.” ..... The urgency to take the order and not bother with the patrons was clear. It is the only soju that is on the menu, it shouldn’t be so difficult to explain what it is. Should this “hurry hurry and hurry” nature of Koreans part of the Jeju restaurant? After being asked multiple times if me and my date were finished with our food, the check was put on the table without a request. We were only eager and ready to see the desert menu and maybe have another bottle of the Soju. The great delicacies that take time and hard work served in this restaurant does not pair with the urgency to take more customers nor the lack of knowledge and the passion of the manager. I’m only writing this to give you guys a flag since I will not be a returning customer. I like you guys and support you all for the amazing work you’ve done that deserves a standing ovation. I will surely miss the food, but I won’t miss the part to eat and be rushed out. Salute to the chefs!

Adam Abouraya

The So-Ramyan is sooo-good! My favorite bowl of noodles in the city. The B&B edamame is a great way to start the meal. I’m back every 2 weeks it’s so ramyan good!

Alexander Burmistrov

I had the best ramen in my life here.

Dawn Donghee Lim

Was excited to try this place out but was unfortunately disappointed. The food items we ordered tasted more like Japanese food with a Korean twist rather than what I’d expect from a Korean noodle bar (what is up with the aioli / mayo guys...I get it’s something different / westernized but at least turn up the gochujang or yangnyum flavor). But hey—at least the Korean fried chicken wings were damn crunchy. Service was extremely slow and they definitely forgot one of our appetizers until we gently reminded them. Then they forgot to box it up for us. But I get it. Saturday evenings can be busy and service can be slow. The much anticipated acclaimed noodles tasted like ramen (Japanese) and didn’t taste much like ramyun (Korean). Walked away feeling 느끼해 and heavy. I felt like the food overall lacked a kick and bold flavors I would have expected. If I was craving ramen this city has no shortage of other options. Lastly, I have no clue where the connection with Jeju island lies with this place. Is it their famed pork? Seafood?

Nae

Im a koran native so I do appreciate traditional Korean. So my review on this can be biased. The chef tries many different approaches on Korean style food but I dont think putting expensive ingredients (truffle) does not make it always good. I dont think the combination between korean food and new ingredients was successful.

Jun Park

SO-Ramen is best ramen ever.

Jessa Mittleman

A chefly take in Korean ramyun. Splendid appetizers and a great wine list.

John Min

Rating this place as a Korean patron. The food is pretty different compared to what available typically in NYC. The veal broth ramyun was pretty good but tastes quite similar to a instant noodle kind (look for gomtang at HMART). It was hard to get over this fact and justify the cost. I suppose for people who have not had it before it would seem very different and very delicious. I also had hwe mul, which was refreshing but the taste seems to be a little over the top. Maybe it was supposed to be like that or I ate it wrong? It was just too many flavors. Overall, the service is fantastic, the interior was very simple and clean, and the plate/silverware were beautiful. I would probably give this place another shot in the future.

Eric Bomze

Tasty food, well prepared and good service (except our mains were pretty slow coming out). We enjoyed everything.

Wolfgang Rünzi

Delightful atmosphere. Attentive service. Superb aromas and refreshing flavors. Harmonious spices.

Jennifer Leddy Poma

I knew the chef was quite accomplished but was still surprised how good the food is. Incredible noodles, friendly staff and service, love the atmosphere. Food was really fresh, delicious noodles. Everything we tried was good. So excited to have this spot in the neighborhood.

First time there hanging out after work Prices are worth the trip And the food was well prepared and presented

Great food and super nice service! Definitely recommend!

Eli Showalter

This place is so bomb. Definitely a unique voice on the ramen scene in nyc. Their veal broth one is my favorite. A little gamey but doesn’t feel heavy like creamy tonkatsu. At $17 a bowl it’s definitely on the pricey side. But the quality of the ramen and tasteful decor making this place I often come back to.

Kirsten Peters

Everything about this place is delicious.

Desiree Ann Lim

Charming and cool aesthetic. Would definitely recommend the prix fixe menu. The poke was so fresh and delicious. The beef was cooked perfectly. The so ramyun was rich and creamy. Could barely finish the food which was split between 3 people. I don't usually like pumpkin but their pumpkin cheesecake was subtly sweet and pleasantly refreshing at the end of the meal. The manager was super nice to us as well and they gave us edamame on the house. Definitely will eat here again.

Jeju chicken wings and Gyochu ramyun were delicious!

Li Jie Wong

had the chicken wings and the gochu ramyun + bansuk egg. dishes were pretty solid: wings were suitably juicy [only minor flaw: slightly underseasoned], and the noodles were great. (human) service was good though: for some technical[?] reason, my order arrived very late. the staff were very apologetic, and voluntarily provided ice-cream and waived the charge for the chicken (the late dish). i guess the only flaw here was communication: my mood was pretty bad during the meal (because i didn't know what had happened); it would have been better if i were informed of the intended remedial actions earlier.

Tami Yeasmin

The place was nice. But ramens weren't as good as i accepted. For the price it was not a good deal but worth the experience i guess

My wife and I went in last night to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and we couldn't be happier with our decision. The service was amazing and our server Tim was particularly helpful and knowledgeable, not only about the menu but also the history and story of the restaurant as well. We got the wings and cucumber kimchi to start. Both were spot on, and I could see on some of the tables around us that most of the other apps looked awesome as well. Tim then comped us an order of the ssam buns in honor of our anniversary, and I am so glad he did because they were some of the best I have had in NYC. I had never had ramyun before so I wasnt sure what to expect, but that did not disappoint either. I got the So and my wife got the Gochu, and both came as very generous portions. Although both were very different, they were equally delicious! Mine was hearty, creamy, and filled with umami, while the gochu was more of traditional broth that had a spicy kick. The noodles themselves were perfectly cooked and there was more than enough of them. Needless to say we will be back very soon, and can't wait as the noodle season is just kicking off.

Nasty manners. Refused to seat us at the bar or a free table because, presumably, we have a toddler. Hostess visibly uncomfortable telling us. Manager insisted there was no “waiting area.” Jokers. Went to Buvette and enjoyed. Adding after Jeju's reply.... So "you don't have a bar" and "don't have a waiting area." With nearly all the tables full, we asked to be seated your counter (or bar) where there were about 8 seats free, plus an open table near the counter. We didn't ask to "wait." Yes, you had toddlers at tables near the window, but you didn't want to seat us at the counter or the other table. So what was it then? Why deny the service? You obviously turned us away. Fortunately for us, we walked a few blocks over to Buvette. We were warmly welcomed and seated, enjoying a lengthy and delicious meal. If you want our business, fix the welcome. You could have made a few new costumers on a cold night with some warm soup. Instead you botched it and continued to do so with this reply.

Passable but not amazing for a Michelin star.

This place, which focuses on Korean rameyon (the Korean version of ramen), is fantastic. There is a six course tasting menu for $55, which touches on many of the popular items in the menu, and it's a lot of food, so it's a much better deal than ordering a la carte off the menu. The food is simply divine. Everything is thoughtfully designed, not to mention delicious. Highlights of the meal include: the nori for the tuna hwe was perfectly crisp; the steak saam was rich and tender; the cook / server came by with a beautiful box of truffles to shave over the mushrooms; the soup for the rameyon was full of umami. Great meal overall. The Michelin guide is often lacking for Asian restaurants, but not in this case. They definitely deserve their Michelin star.

Yuqiong Zhou

9 courses brunch - from salad to fried chicken to pork belly wrap to grilled fish with chimichuri! Also shared a sochu sangria, generous portions and pretty tasty! It’s a bright street corner location with interesting decor and large windows. Music is just comfortable volume not too loud.

Andrew Lee

I came here before they got their Michelin star and it was better back then. Went back now after they got their nod and regret it. The food is now overpriced and confused. The dishes are overseasoned, and muddled. Muddled is a good word for this place. The food isn't really Korean, it's not American, it's kind of confused and meadering. The food was interesting when it was $15 for a bowl of soup noodles. When I'm dropping $75 or more a meal, I want flavors to be coherent and dishes to be tasty. Michelin is useless when it comes to Asian food. Hard pass.

Beatrice Wong

A trendy ramen house that has garnered one Michelin star. Recommends its So Ram Yun noodle, served in a creamy rich veal broth with high quality short ribs. The cucumber kimchi is interesting, lightly coated with spicy plum sauce rather than fermented kimchi dressing.

Zach Mesa

Started with the edamame and the chicken wings. Both were amazing! I also had the spicy pork ramyun with pork belly, white kimchi, and soft-boiled egg. Amazing flavor. The pork was slightly crispy on the outside and the egg was perfectly soft boiled.

Rina Yoo

Creative, cozy, yet elegant Korean cooking at best. Reasonably priced high quality yumminess.

Chan Woo Park

Hwe Neng Myun was a little too spicy for me although I mixed everything as explained. The spiciness went away quickly once I finished the noodle. I also thought it was too much sauce and I couldn't really taste the fish or the vegetables. . The wait was about 45 minutes on Saturday night. I also felt like they were not sitting us and made us wait full 45 minutes even though there were empty tables when we arrived.

po shing Ng

One of the best noodle bar in New York City. Concept is good reat, every dish here is looking good. You will feel warm and welcom when you are here. The chef's and all the severs will taking care of your with high standard hospitality. Most importantly, all the food are fantastic. You definitely need to try!!!

SangHeui Jin

Amazing place!! The food is delicious & I love the modern interior! Also, the staff is incredible, best service I have had in a VERY long time. A+++

Paras Ghelani

Great ramyun and appetizers with a warm atmosphere - though a little overpriced.

Walker McAninch-Runzi

Food was amazing and staff was attentive and friendly. Pacing of the pre fixe tasting menu was way off: two dishes arrived at the same time and then waited 45 minutes for the next.

Enrique Lara

The broth was so yummy and creamy. Had the veal broth m; the pork broth is spicy but not too spicy.

Victoria Hadley

Outstanding! There was not a single misstep in the entire evening. Each and every dish was prepared and presented absolutely perfectly. The staff was kind, attentive, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Haniel Ogburu

Jeju Noodle Bar has the best service that I’ve experienced in NY and it also felt like genuine kindness from everyone in the waiting staff from the hostess, to the waiter providing us water, to our actual waitress. The entire time they wanted to make sure we were satisfied, comfortable, and understood the menu. I know that is normal in every restaurant, but I really noticed their attentiveness (in a good way). The food was so good. We had their pork buns, signature pork ramyun. One of my friends had their fish coop ramyun. The food was very very good. It wasn’t heavy, but it was filling. I definitely see myself going back. So ENJOY!!!

Vivian Tu

Not a bad thing here, but the fried chicken and toro & uni Sam Bap were especially notable.

yong chong

Got there 3 min before it opened. Only 4 people ahead of us. 30 min to get our appetizer, 50 min wait for ramen. Some people came later than us, ate, then left before we got our ramen. UNACCEPTABLE!

Justin Moon

I had Pork Bo-Ssam Set for brunch which includes braised pork, rice, miso soup and egg custard. Braised pork is perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. Egg custard is silky smooth. I loved it with miso sauce and white kimchi like when you make Ssam pork wraps with lettuce. For drink I had a glass of chilled Jeju’s own tangerine bear and it has incredible taste. I was pleasantly surprised how good it tastes. My friend ordered Cha ramen set which came with white rice topped with ground beef, seaweed and roasted garlic. Broth is deliciously tasty with three sliced tender beef. Overall, for brunch food is excellent value and not your usual Sunday brunch menu. I recommend strongly JeJu’s brunch on weekend!!!!!!!!!

Elaine Chang

Had the pork ramen, soondubu, and strawberry pistachio cheesecake. Food was good, prices are on par with other ~noodle bars, environment was a little noisy when full but not deafening. I’d come back if I was in the area.

Heenam Park

It was so awesome dinner. The appetizer was so fancy and tasteful. I felt like I was at upscale restaurant at middle town. And The taste of the Ramyun was far beyond my expectation. Especially, the soup of So-Ramyun was taste like my moms cooking. I can strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Daniyar

Fancy Korean fusion type restaurant. We went there before it received the Michelin star but it already felt that it’s going to be big! All of the food items were excellent. The only doubt one of my friends had was of the soba dish although it grew on him later.

Joseph Weller

Tasting menu was out of this world. 7 courses, all perfect. One of the few small places with tight seating that I actually felt comfortable sitting in. Amazing experience overall.

Gabe Go

Gochu ramyun with 6th Borough Pilsner

Christine Yang

Amazing noodles; the bowls look small but end up being a lot of food. The chili oil is amazing (ask your waiter for it).

Carlos Medeiros

Awesome food! Bums are amazing and brisket noodle is fantastic. Broths are light and not the traditional heavy type more commonly used. Interesting and well executed appetizers and specials.

Mimi Schreiber

Loved this place. The food was delicious, the setting was clean and crisp, lots of people but didn't feel overly crowded, great server. Great noodle bar!

Muris Ademović

Beer is fine, but the food is not as good as in Germany. On the TVs there is no Bundesliga, instead of that you can watch American sport :/ The ambient and atmosphere is geman style.

Ben Habot

Best ramen i have ever eaten, 100/10. I cant eat from any other restaurant. There is a small amount of dishes that jeju makes, and you can taste everything in it. The noodles are perfect, the ramen broth is not too salty, the other ingredients work so well together. The restaurant isnt also super expenisve each meal is a little less then $50 but is worth $2000

Jay dedman

Their website says they don't take reservations: "We are primarily a walk-in restaurant. We encourage all our guests to walk-in and we will accommodate your party as soon as possible." I called ahead to see how busy they were. Manager said there were seats. Ten minutes later we walk into the restaurant and are told there are no seats. What about the empty stools at the bar? Those are for the wait list. But no one was there to sit in them. They said we could get on the wait list (and watch the empty bar stools?) Can you call and get on the wait list? Staff was polite but they have a weird seating policy. If you take reservations, then do it for everyone. If you just take walk-ins, fill empty seats. We walked a couple blocks away and had ramen elsewhere.

Qianren Zhou

Very good! The ramyun and the tuna are great!

SD

Great neighborhood find! This noodle bar serves Korean ramyun vs. Japanese ramen. Noodles are finer and served al dente. The difference is in the soup flavors and added ingredients. Appetizers are great compliments to the noodles. Edamame with black bean sauce and roasted corn are must orders. My favorite is the Fish Coop...light bright soup with noodles and pork belly. The pork belly is small...a small perfect square. The location is out of the way but worth the visit.

Richard Go

Affordable Michelin Star dining Great wait staff. Great food. This is Korean Ramyun which has many similarities to Japanese Ramen. You have a clean comfy layout with moderate amount of noise at it's worse but overall good ambiance. You can easily get away with under $50 a person for an appetizer, Noodle bowl, and a drink or two. We got six appetizers which were all good. If you get the squid I would recommend eating that first before the other appetizers. I especially enjoyed the Pyunche Salad and the Tuna Yuk Hwe. We ordered So Ramyun, Truffle Bibim Myun, Wagyu Raymun, and the Miyuk Raymun. The Truffle Bibim Myun was so rich I felt it was better eating a little of it with any of the Ramyun dishes. The So Ramyun is so good that the Wagyu version is only a little bit better. Miyuk Raymun was excellent and hearty for the non meat eaters. We didn't try desert. For drinks we had two bottles of Soju, two bottles of Cherry Cola, and 5 cans of beer I strongly recommend Jeju. If you don't drink and order one appetizer and a So Ramyun or Miyuk Ramyun u can keep costs down to about $35 before tips. Heck Miyuk Raymun with Edamame appetizer will run you $20 before taxes, tips, and drinks... That's a heck of a steal!

Kelly Stewart

Went with the tasting menu, such a steal for $45 a person, 6 courses, everything was perfect!

Javier Kohen

Good food, nothing spectacular for the price, and it felt like I waited longer than the people on both of my sides at the bar.

Karen C.

Amazing food, ambience and service for a reasonable price given the Michelin star quality! Ordered the soon du bu (mussel stew), toro ssam nap (tuna tartare) as starters that I’d highly recommend. I thought the noodles were also delicious. The so-ramyun was super rich and flavourful. For veggie eaters, the vegetarian noodles were also full of flavour and paired wonderfully with mushrooms. Appetizer portions were a bit small but I found the noodle sides reasonable. Highly recommended!

Jisoo K

Best food I’ve had in a while. Everything was seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. The maguro/toro kimbab looked like Instagram bait but tasted superb. Squid was tender and savory. So ramyun was the real winner, with rich broth that took away the stress after a week of hard work. The chefs are also the servers (how they are managing this is beyond me) but service was pretty quick.

Ray Poa

Came for brunch for moms day. They had a mother's day bibimmyun special. Omg the beef was so good. Idk what dry aged means but it was so much better than a regular steak. The sauce was super rich and smelled amazing. It also came with tomato salad. The waiter said the tomatoes were pickled and it went so well with the steak. I read another review that said the food was super salty so I was skeptical to order steak but it was so good. I guess the guy likes bland food.

Chenkai Mao

Interesting Korean noodle place. However, I would still prefer the other Japanese ramen places, such as ippudo or ichiran. It's a good place for anyone wants to explore different ramen.

Jackie Gordon Singing Chef

Love the aesthetics of Jeju Noodle Bar. Very modern but low key. They serve the food and drinks in beautiful ceramic dishes. We loved the tuna appetizer with cucumber, radish and seaweed. It was very balanced and do flavorful. The beef ragu with gochujang on rice with garlic chips was very tasty. I only wish it were much bigger. We had the Waygu beef ramen which is quite pricey. I thought it was a bit ridiculous to charge us for an egg on top of the already $39 for the ramen. My boyfriend enjoyed the ramen. I thought it was overly rich. They use great noodles with nice bounce.

Sebastian Cornieles

Is chic, the food is amazing, great service

Olivia Chiu

Atmosphere is nice: modern and spacious. Came on a Tuesday night and it was pretty busy which is usually a great sign! My friend got the So Ramyun which was amaaaaaazing! The flavor of the broth was rich and complex without being overly fatty. There was thin slices of beef that were super flavorful and tender. I got the Gochu Ramyun which was rather mediocre. It wasn't spicy enough and wasn't really memorable. The worst part was the pork belly that came with the bowl... I took one bite and it was All Fat with a bit of meat on the other side. I enjoy rather fatty pork belly but no one really wants to eat like an entire bite of fat... At $16ish a bowl its pretty standard for bowl of noodles in Manhattan. We also got the Toro Ssam Bap which was very tasty and flavorful. The fresh greens/herbs and seaweed goes great with the rice and toro.

David Lickhalter

We got the 9 course brunch and the mothers day brunch. All of the dishes were excellent. The service was very good. It is a lot of food we had a lot to take home. I would definitely recommend.

Kat Han

Standout was the squid. So yummy...perfectly tender with delicious spicy sauce. I think I ended up trying to drink the sauce at the end... Confit chicken ramyun was fairly tasty, but I still prefer the squid...

Nick Cashan

Disappointing. There are much better ramen places.

John Randall

Absolutely delicious. Go!

E Chun

Great korean casual food with creative twist and some premium aspects added. Everything was so good and tasty. Service very friendly and great cool vibes. I wish we could have this kind korean restaurant in Europe too! Great job that they are awarded with a Michelin star. Totally worth visiting!!

Jonathan Priester

I have been to Jeju several times and it never disappoints. A wonderful take on ramen in a warm and inviting atmosphere. A versatile dining space, Jeju is just as good for a small group dinner as it is for a first date. Though the drink menu is limited (mostly wines and some beers) the main dinner has a variety of options to compliment the selection of ramen options. Highly recommend for both those who are familiar with ramen as well as those who are new to the dish.

Milo Larson

Fantastic and tasty food, I like the character this place has, and the staff members were nice. Will definitely come back in the future.

morgane d'Aubert-Simaan

Such a delicious place, very fresh products and tasty dishes. The waiters are really nice and professional. A place you should try !
