This Restaurant belongs to the category of Japanese restaurant.
It's not the same like they used to. Meat are too dry, some of them salty now. Some food have been sitting for a while. They used to serve superb delicious food but a lot has changed after 1 year (exactly. We were here Christmas of last year). The waiter took a while to get our drinks and we felt rushed. The only thing that's the same are the alcoholic drinks.
Lots of food options. Great meats & fish. Fresh veggies are for making soup at your table, not for stir fry
Had their buffet deal. definitely worth. Medium quality food but big abundance, huge range (you won’t be able to finish in one sitting m) and even hotpot. Very good deal
Tried this place once with my friend and I am addicted ever since. I enjoyed the great mood and yummy dishes and drinks. Fantastic work.
One of the worst restaurants I could test on New York. The staff were not pleasant at all, and the dishes were almost all cold. Only the rice was good. Even the watermelon was hot. Moreover, the staff forced us to leave a tips at the time of adding, we never ever seen! To avoid.
Nice place and very spacious. Food wasn't bad and the service was good.... overall a good place to eat. I have no complaints, everything was......... good.
Descent food. A wide variety of different kinds of food including seafood, sushi and sashimi. Good food but the cost is also not low, 40 bucks.
Great spot for unlimited sushi for sushi lovers and those who just want to try different ones. Loved the different rice options also.
$20 for the lunch buffet is a pretty good deal considering the sushi quality. Worth a visit.
Excellent services! The Food and the Hot Pot both were good!! My friends and I enjoyed so much!!
Really good experience! Went for the 1st ti.e and must say, really good, amazing choices and very clean!!!
Nothing particularly wrong but unworthy of the price in my opinion. No lobsters. Oysters often run out. The blue crabs are small. The tool for opening the rock crabs was missing at the counter—It was actually a long story: First I asked the waitress attending our table, and she said it was near the crabs on the counter. I found none there and asked someone at the counter, then that lady told me to check the table at the back. Nothing was found so I asked another waiter nearby, and he said near the crabs. I said no, and finally he sent one to my table.
Delicious hot pot selection to choose from as well as varied food choices from the buffet table.
From my 12-yr-old: Fish is fresh and delicious. The buffet has many different choices for example, you can choose if you cook your own food or if you pick it up cooked at the buffet! The calamari and fish rolls are exquisite! I highly recommend this place for family dinners. I hope this information is useful for you. They charge children's rates need on height, which is unfair when you have tall kids. Also, for groups of 6 or more, they charge 18% tip, which is way too high for a buffet. It's a huge buffet, and like most buffets, the quality of dishes is mixed. The pork and chicken were good, the fish was ok at best.
This is definitely the place to go to for a nice lunch with coworkers or friends. The spread is absolutely enormous and the food is delicious. I will say that there ice cream took the cake for me. I will recommend not to go here if you have busy post lunch plans because you will eat so much you'll need a nap
I regularly stop purchasing some food here. I enjoyed the efficient customer service and well cooked dishes. Keep it up.
The options are always plentiful and the food is always good. Been going here for years, whenever there's a special occasion or a holiday I come here.
I've been there for several times. The last time was on a Saturday night in July 2019. The quality of foods is getting worse. The supply of Sashimi can't meet demand. Before, they have lobster claws and cherrystone clams for hot pot. Both were not provided while the last time I was there. The quality is going down but the price is not changed.
We got food poisoning shortly after we left the restaurant. The manager ended up tossing us $2 to send us away. Please send someone from Health Department to do a thorough inspection.
Good place and has great price for an all you can eat
They offer all you can eat with many different things, sushi rolls to rice, noodles and pretty much all you can get for that price, also some good desserts, with nice staff and good location, 5 stars!
Food is sub par and not worth the price. Don’t come here
Absolutely a place worth trying, the food is awesome and well prepared, the rates are fair and it is regularly clean there. Kudos.
Excellent place!. when it comes to food, Love it.. I go there once week. week days prices are very reasonable . Also the waitress named HIRAN is a superb server and she has a great personality. I am very happy from her and the way she treats the customer. Thank you Hiran!. thank you all.
This is a certified Asian food mall! Buffet style with way too many options to choose from and their staff are very nice. I had to wrestle one to keep my plate because I was going to reuse it instead of grabbing a fresh one
My family and I went to eat dinner here the food was mediocre , the sashimi like the Tuna and Salmon was very thinly sliced. You have to ask the servers to cut you slices which defeats the purpose of a buffet. What really annoyed me was when we were still half way eating and our waitress bought over the check she said we can continue to eat after we paid our bill. This was very unreasonable as most tables were empty at this hour and clearly we were still eating. We left the bill there and continued to eat but another waiter came and asked if we had paid the bill. I had to tell the waiter that what he was doing was unreasonable and that we were still dining they had plenty of tables empty. I know I'm not the only customer this happened to because they were bringing bills to the tables around me and they were still eating food. I don't understand why in the world someone would do this. I have been to this place plenty of times but the food portion the quality keeps deteriorating on top of that you have waiters and waitress that want to kick you out while you're eating. I will never come here again. Do yourself a favor and please take your money elsewhere.
Nice sushi buffet with plenty of options. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I would go back again!
Standard buffet with friendly staff, however food quality could be better.
Nothing fresh, food taste bad, low quality. Well yes... affordable price... I couldn’t eat any thing but fruits
you are here for the food, an amazing cost/benefit for nyc. great location, near everything. do not miss the dessert buffet!
I went there expecting no vegan food at all but I was pleasantly surprised. There's quite a few vegan starters, salads, and hot pot ingredients. Not to mention the fruits. However the problem is that the staff is very unaware of what items are vegan. I was lucky however to be able to talk to a staff member that was familiar with veganism and had quite a decent experience. There were two tofu starters/salads and a few more. I found that it was best to make hot pot with all the available ingredients (mushrooms, tofu, broccoli + a few vegan noodle options). So if you're vegan, there is food for you, but know that it will take a good deal of effort to figure out what's vegan. Moreover, I'd say the lunch price is okay for the food we get but the dinner price would probably be not worth it. However, know that you won't starve.
They have a huge line of food selections and you'll keep coming back for more. Price is reasonable for the location. I have no complaint with the service so overall a good place to eat.
Amazing food! Everything is fresh and delicious. They have a wonderful variety of seafood choices as well!
Very good food quality. Very recommended
Everything tastes awesome. This is a great place to hang out
You can't go wrong with all-you-can-eat. This place has a lot of variety and the items are always fresh.
Staff are lovely, just need to say that right off the bat. They were welcoming and friendly and kind. The food...omg everything I ate was just nasty. Such a shame but I've honestly never had food so bad. The sushi all tasted the same, the cooked fish was dry and tasteless, the rice was mushy...the only good thing was the flan! Would not recommend to anyone with taste buds.
Excellent sushi buffet in the heart of mid-town offering delicious sushi at fair prices.
$19 is a little pricey for a buffet lunch, but I think it's worth it. 1. There's a ton of options to choose from (the place is huge). And 2. The food is very good. I liked it and I'll be back.
The food is so good I will be going again next week
Nice place, food was warm enough. And for someone like me who cant handle cold food it was perfect. Their sushi was good but not much to choose from. They had Korean and Japanese soju/sake and hotpot which is a nice touch from the classic buffet. The buffet was clean and pleasant to the eyes.
Huge selection of Japanese foods, pleasant staff but difficult to choose if you do not usually eat Japanese food.
Massive lineup of food. Quality and price were good.
Self service. Amazing price. You can eat as much as you can.
Great food and service.
$35 weekends you get all you can eat. There is a large selection of food. About 20 different sushi plates, 20 hot food plates, a grill area where you can order food and like 30+ items you can use for optional shabu shabu(hot pot). Then there is a dessert section. I took a nice video of the food but can't upload here.
This was a nice place a large variety of food and they also have desert. My children took me here for Mother Day. I definitely would go here again.
Nothing fresh, food taste bad, low quality. Well yes... affordable price... I couldn’t eat any thing but fruits
This restaurant is a buffet type of place. There's different varieties of food you can eat. There's an assortment of sushi, raw oyster n clam. There's also other hot foods like seafood, dumplings, and fried noodles. As for dessert they have a separate section for those too. When you are seated at your table they also provide a hot pot that has a broth so you can boil some of the other foods. This place is pretty spacious too so it's not that crowded. However I can't say that it's packed with people because me and my dad went at a later time, at 9pm or so. Though the reason I gave this place a 4 star rather a 5 star is due to the sushi tasting like it's been chilled for too long. Also I think it's important to note the men's bathroom is closer to the entrance and the women's bathroom is next to the dessert bar.
They provide a very good variety of food options for all you can eat. Good sashimi sushi, some basic barbecues, meat dishes, and deserts (fruits, ice cream, and small pieces of cakes). The taste of hotpot wasn't very satisfying to me. But overall I liked this place, and maybe give it another go in the future.
Looks nice on the outside but everything tastes cheap and horrible. The beef is frozen and tastes disgusting and fake. Don’t go here. Very overpriced for such bad food.
Great fresh food , nice clean atmosphere , make your own ramen table side is a great idea, all food is tasty , fresh and perfect, you leave feeling fun and complete , thanks for the great dinner.
Nice selection of food, but don't expect high quality. Fried foods were a bit hit or miss. If you don't get them warm/hot they it's not so great
This place is so fulfilling. Just for $20 all you can for lunch. It includes all the seafood sushis etc. Food quality is very good. You can even cook ramen on your table with the raw ingredients.
Ok all can eat food, and good dessert.
Great buffet style Japanese food in NYC
One of the few places where you can get all you can eat hot pot + sushi. Excellent variety and quality. Friendly staff. Just a top notch dining experience.
This is where you go to be victim to credit card fraud or possibly to commit credit card fraud yourself. Despite having never frequented an Ichumi in my life, I discovered and reported to my bank an exact $50.00 charge. After an investigation, the bank followed up with a response from management vehemently claiming I was personally there and a chip card was used and I had signed a receipt. The fact that it supposedly isn't possible for a chip to be cloned makes this venue absolutely suspect to illicit activities beyond stealing from just me.
The food here were great! Comes with free hotpot and has reasonable pricing. Deserts and ice cream galore!
Great options and good price for an all you can eat. When I went though they did not have all the options mentioned on other reviews and menu found here on Google Maps. For example they did not have oysters. I did like the food though. Sushi was yumi and the cooked meals were as well. Great green tea ice cream!
Buffet style dinning at it’s finest. Delicious food. So much to choose from at a great price. Great atmosphere in a pretty spacious place.
Decent lunch buffet for the price.
Went today for the first time, with a group of friends for our reunion. We had a good time and the food was good & fresh. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. And, even though they have a 2 hr dining time limit, they didn't rush or bother us to leave, as we were over the time limit. I would go back!
Clean and bright ambient. Tasteful food, lots of varieties, and nice service,
Nice food and staff
I went for dinner with my friend. When it came time to pay we paid cash, when the waitress came up she counted all the money in front of us and told us that we didn’t tip her enough, although we tipped her 16%. I gave her 4$ more, but she wasn’t going to leave, she stared at us and waited for more money. When I said that it’s all the tips I want to give her, she rolled her eyes and left. Later she came up and very rudely asked us if she could pick up the plate. By the way, no one has ever refilled my glass with water. I do not know the name of this waitress, she has ashen blond hair, but I’m very disappointed with this place and never come back again.
Sushi were fresh, stuff welcoming. Recommend
I make a point of visiting ichi umi whenever I'm in New York. Great sushi selection for a reasonable price.
Food was good. Service was ok meaning I had to ask for drinks and it wasn't busy. Took a while for her to get the drinks too. I had to request a refill. She just walked by looked at the table and kept walking without getting the empty cups for a refill. They didn't give extra napkins either. Fish was dried. The server gave us the check, gave her the money and she returned wanting more tip. It's stated "suggested " not have to. The server wasn't great. I usually give good tips if they deserve it. There was someone else helping her as well. The other server was way better.
A preferred place for tasty Japanese food. this location is one of my favorites. had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again. prices are decent.
The food is so good and have to be hungry to love this. So much for one individual.
The food is delicious and amazing. You can’t beat the prices. There’s something for everyone here. You even get a hotpot! I love this place and the bar downstairs is great place to wind down after eating so much.
Nice place, large selection of seafood
I love buffets and I think this is great place with a lot of various food from Asia. I have been reading a lot of negative reviews but Everytime I have been there food is very fresh and tasty. My last visit was very nice, service was very nice from a sweet lady that waited my table. Recommended!
So happy to see this place is still open! So many of the good places in NYC are now gone! Ichiumi is the best! Great food, good deal!
LOVE the food here. Prices are very reasonable and food is always fresh. Its never crowded so its always nice to come with friends and all you can eat
I meet with friends this place quite a bit! This is my favorite place to have a bite. I go to this spot at least once a month. The meals are fantastic, the team is courteous and the cost is affordable. I like going in this restaurant over a decent dinner.
Pretty good. Smaller sushi selection than I expected (and the B rating - for now at least) but excellent tasting. Fish was amazing.
Absolutely disgusting food. Left here feeling extremely sick. Don’t even bother trying it.
A nice dessert and coffee establishment.
Too many great items that are all ready to eat. Dont forget to tip the great staff. My favorite was the tuna And salmon nigiri.
Great buffet for an affordable price. It's a great place to spend holiday dinners with friends and family and other occasions you'd like celebrate. They have a huge line of food selections and you'll keep coming back for more. They also offer a hotpot and it's included buffet service. It's all worth it. I would come back again!
I would not recommend the hot pot. The sushi is okay.
I went there three time already and now I’m writing this review. This place is awesome and there are many different kinds of food that I love. Especially these ice creams are tasty
Very wide spread of sushi, and an unbelievably large Japanese buffet options! Hot pot and more options!! The desserts were amazing too. Only reason I cut one star off the rating is because of the price. It was a little too steep for dinner.
Worst restaurant ever. The food was cold and not even good. Too expensive. The only good thing was the water. Don‘t go!!!!!!
There is only asian food
Clean & well organized buffets. Food is delicious! Service very nice. Temperature a little uncomfortable - too cold. May be pricey for families; ok for couples, adult groups. Shalom.
Love this buffet! Great sushi
Exceptional and yummy food, I liked the character the spot has, and the cashiers were friendly. I will surely visit here next time.
Not very good, wasn't explained how to use the table cooker. Is it even supposed to be used inside? Got chased by our waitress because she thought I didn't tip and told me there was a minimum to tip, even though I left a $10 on the table.
This place used to be much better. They reduced their sushi selection and other hot offering and instead added a mediocre hot pot selection. The hot pot beef tasted old and had a weird after taste. When I was there for lunch they only served 1 beef dish or so I was told. But the beef "chow mein" as they called it did not have any beef in it. I'm probably not going to go back for a while.
Very good selection of food Western and Japanese
I gave it a shot for myself but the reviews are accurate. I went on a Thursday night and the buffet options were lackluster & mediocre at best. The hot foods were cold. They had options everyone may not like. At the front-end, there's sushi, then there's tofu-salads following & other salads like cold sauteed spinach & tomato salad. The second-middle section is cold fish like sushimi & dry rice noodles to put in hot broths if you want soup. The back-end third section is hot food which consist of a few fish options. The dessert bar was empty & there's no froyo machine. I don't think I'd return. If you try it, give everything a look over before making a plate because we're talking close to $50 per person with tax and tips. You can cater a better buffet at home from local takeout spots for what you'd pay for two people here.
Good buffet close to downtown New York. They serve a large variety of seafood to include sushi. They also have Uni which was great. They also have a lot of other cooked entreés. Hot pot is also included with the buffet. Definitely ask for assistance with the hot pot if it's your first time. Overall, the quality of food is a little better than your usual Asian buffet.
Giant varaiety and u can make your own ramen
All you can eat sushi! great concept. Is it Amazing food? No but good enough for me to go back and im quite the foodie. Sushi buffet. Enough said
A lot variety of Japanese, Korean and Chinese food with good rate for lunch, around 24 usd all in you can have a lot of meals and taste also good. Because most of Lunch place in New York around 20 usd also but not much meals.
Fresh and delicious buffet, you have sushi, ramen, nigiri, fish, chicken, meat, desserts, beverages for under 35 usd or less. You can't go wrong, service is OK but since you are serving yourself you won't be needing it. Truly recommended.
I have been in there a couple times and I went back yesterday, the food wasn't fresh,it looked like it was sitting there for a long time, everything was dried.i tried the roast beef and it was cold ,not tasty at all. They also changed the menu, not a lot good choices with the meat and for the price I paid I think it's not worth it.
This place is huge. All you can eat in midtown NYC. Price is reasonable for the location. Lunch is the deal. Hot bar and cold bar. Fresh and the selection is amazing. Dessert bar as well.
Relatively small selection and high prices, but otherwise a good place to eat seafood and desert in the middle of a Korea-town in NYC.
Great selection of food and it was all great until I returned for some salmon sushi. It did not taste very good and did not smell fresh. I eat a lot of sushi worldwide and am careful when traveling not to eat sushi and sashimi that could make me I'll. The food was great though and I did not have any problems.
Unbelivable..fresh food all you can eat
Easy to see right off 32nd Street servicing Korea Town and the adjoining areas of Manhattan. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Reasonably priced. Nice staff. Credit cards accepted. Great for families. We will definitely be going back.
Nice clean place. Staff is attentive and helpful. They have a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other seafood. Also vegetables and other ingredients to pick from for the hot pot. They have different meats and ice cream for dessert.
I very much loved the dishes and service, great area to my residence. The workers are always kind. Highly recommended.
The promise of all you can eat sushi, noodles, hot platters such as teriyaki beef and lo-mien, initially seem like an amazing deal for 18 dollars before 3. Even after 4 when they raise the price to 32 dollars per head you rationalize that you will be eating well more than 32 dollars worth of food so you still venture in. But the deal turns sour when you come to realize that the reason the restaurant is empty isn’t due to this restaurant being a hidden jem it is due to the flies that seem to be enjoying the buffet just as well as you are. When you go to grab some of the selection you startle them and you will see two to four flies move off of that piece of cabbage you were going to grab for your hotpot. I suppose one may believe flies around natural produce is expected but what is not expected is for a fly to be on top of the desserts they serve such as the cherry cheese cake which you don’t even get to try if you are conscious of the fly feces that may be on it. There are only two things protected from the flies and they are the rice and the ice cream both of which are good but mediocre at best. The selection is okay they have some rolls you may recognize such as spicy tuna, and variations of California rolls but somehow even those two taste a bit odd each piece having its own flavor one even tasting like an entirely different roll. One thing is clear this restaurant does not value quality control. Down to the plate you grab to serve yourself you will find yourself grabbing another just to get a clean one. The atmosphere is sad as you and your party seem to realize you wasted 32 dollars each on food you did not enjoy. At the end of your less than satisfying meal you may feel as though you should lower the gratuity since you have wasted 32 dollars and did not eat even 15 dollars worth of food, but good luck walking out of the restaurant. The waiter will stop you and demand you pay a bigger tip which would make sense if you had made a big mess or were actually served. But remember this is a buffet you serve yourself so why demand a group of customers pay a big tip when they are unsatisfied with your establishment. Yelling at customers seems bad for business but so is the B rating you don’t notice as you walk in due to it being on the very last window you only notice when you walk out. I hope this review deters you from eating here if you would like a enjoyable experience that is way less money go to one of the many sushi places that are rated above 4 stars. Or even walk down the block and turn the corner to an all you can eat Korean bbq place. This restaurants total rating of 3.8 and a majority of them being less than 3 stars is no mistake it is a reality you should listen to. Spend your money elsewhere.
First time eating here. Amazing food and even better service. Will definitely return. Loved the waiters great attitude. Thanks for the amazing meal
My favorite all you can eat in the city, food is always fresh and great tasting.
Quite disappointed for the price. There was a wide variety of food, but nothing was done particularly well, and it seemed to have been sitting out for a while. The hotpot was good since it was fresh and they had quite a spread of items, but I don't get why they only had one type of sliced meat when they have a whole bar of sauces. Might as well just go to a hotpot place then. Wouldn't come here again.
Service was good choices just ok
Warning ! Warning! Warning! This is a horrible restaurant! Not even deserve one star, $35 before tax per person I can not find anything nice and fresh! When we walked in is like 6:00pm , the dinner time just started not too long, but the fish taste nasty and the asparagus it’s really really old. But the worst part is there is a LIVE ROACH on the table while we eating! After awhile The manager came to our table and offered us a “free drink” like soda, which none of us like those high sugar drinks, after we say NO drink , the manager just walk away! So after we finish eating, we just pay the whole bill, and definitely not come back! Horrible food, bad service !!!
They "offer" a wide variety of selections from sushi, sashimi to cooked/grilled food with option to have hotpot. This sounds good, ONLY if they can keep up serving the food they offered. The entire time we were there for about an hour, there were no sashimi, and many of the sushi roll trays were empty. Very disappointed. Grilled food/hotpot option quality were just mediocre. Desserts are lacking and quality of supermarket. Not worth $40 a head.
The food was bland and tasteless. How do you screw up ice cream? Even the ice cream was bad. I don't understand these reviews.
The place look nice but the food don't taste so good and many part of food stand is empty. They before did better than now in cooking
One star is a lot for this place. I went there yesterday with my mom but regretted it a lot. This place used to have good food the last time we were here, which I believe was about a year ago. The kimchi rice was horrible. There was those little fruit flies everywhere. Absolutely disgusting. Please save your money and head to Koreatown for better food. 80$ for such unappetizing, bland food is not worth it. I have never reviewed a place but I was so disappointed by the quality that I had to let people know.
This place does not have many options. I would surprised. Very limited of choices especially for the price they are charging you. Also it was frustrating because they were not many options for vegans and vegetarians. Everytime i asked the chef to make me a sushi roll, they would make me a sushi wrap instead. Its like they had an attitude. The IchiUmi in Edison New Jersey was much better but they closed it permanently.
I tried this place once with a friend and I am obsessed ever since. I liked the fantastic mood and delightful dishes and drinks. 5 stars.
Good food quality. Reasonable price. I can recommend this place without hesitation.
Not worth at all. Huge variety but everything is mediocre, assortment of sushi has more empty trays than fish (restaurant wasn’t that busy). Overall taste was bad. Dessert is basically non existent other than cantaloupe and honeydew. Don’t recommend, really not worth the price.
Good variety of food. You can do hotpot on the side for no additional cost. Quality is ok. Would recommend if you like eating a lot of food.
Would absolutely recommend visiting this place. Excellent vibes, delicious food, awesome service. Great work.
An excellent place to eat. Such variety. Everything is tasteful. Service is graceful. Prices are reasonable for the amount you get. I sat there twice in one week I've been in New York and I enjoyed myself so much.
Tried this place once with my friend and I am addicted since then. I like the great atmosphere and flavorful food and beverages. They never disappoint.
Outstanding Japanese buffet in NYC. More options than you can choose from.
The sushi is great for the price and I love that you get to create your own soup.
Lovely selection for buffet lunch...and tasty
Very good buffet! I like that you can make your own noodle soup and the variety of food is good. Only negative I would say is that they have very few desert selection.
This place is more of 3.5 rating. Good Japanese all you can eat place. The sushi selection could be better though. I didn't enjoy many of the sushi options they had. But they do have hotpot along with the buffet of food which was awesome. They also can prepare a crepe for you on the point. You pick the ingredients. The crepe was really good. They have small scoop of ice cream in a refrigerator to finish off your meal. Unfortunately I dont remember the food being memorable. Good for buffet standards.
The best buffet in NYC for sushi and everything Japanese. I loved the do it yourself hot pot. Get there early.
It's all you can eat and the price is good.
Bad quality food, use cheapest materials. They take plain water as Hotpot base broth. Bathroom is too dirty and sticky, seems no cleaning for long time, even worse there has no toilet paper .
Really mediocre Korean food but in a large buffet space, they make you wait to be seated even though there's plenty of seats. Big lunch business, probably not so much at dinner. Kind of a weird experience but good if you're hungry.
The spot is excellent and broad, the food was delightful and the prices were very affordable. quickly, effective service and very friendly waiters. I highly recommend this place.
Fantastic food, and Service. The food is well made and quite filling. Only downsides are the price (costed my group of 3 about $100 total), however it is a buffet and with the quality they give I believe it was worth it.
Delicious fresh Food!! And you can ask for a stove to make your own soups
IchiUmi is dangerous in the best possible way. There is such a tremendous variety of food to eat, you will never be able to sample all the delightful options even if you stuff yourself to capacity. I'm not saying I know this first hand, but then again I'm not saying I don't know, either. :-) It is also a great deal, which makes it even more tempting to get just...one...more succulent roll. This is a great place to take the family or a group. casual atmosphere with lots of seating in a wide, airy space. The food is easily accessible and grouped to make it easy to find your favorites. I just love being able to walk over and choose my own options. The service was excellent, efficient and friendly. My bottle of hot sake was waiting for me when I returned with my selections. Keep in mind this is not the place to choose if you only want a quick bite, or if you have finicky kids who only want hot dogs and french fries. However, since the price is so reasonable, you need only eat a small amount to feel you're getting a good deal. IchiUmi is conveniently located in the center of midtown, on 32nd street at the edge of Korea Town. Truly a sushi-lovers dream: great quality, variety, and price. I recommend it.
