Last night I was a first timer the place was packed, we were in line for a good 20-30 minutes which included the booth wait time. Once we got seated I enjoyed the atmosphere staff was prompt and food was good. I would definitely go back!

I pointed out I arrived prior to 3:30 and was told I can have the lunch but have to promise not to eat seafood or beef. I paid for my bill and noticed most of their food consist of seafood or beef. I asked for a menu but they did not have anything. Their website does have their menu. I guess they don't abide but what their own menu there. Lunch buffet means as long as you arrive before 3:30 you can eat what you desire. For all of those who see this just know they may try the same with you. I just decided to get a refund. I could not allow them to have it after being told I cannot eat certain dishes at a buffet.

Inwould understand if I had multiple guests and she got confused but it was only me and my mother and the place was still empty when we arrived

This was my go to eatery for a very long time. My family and I would eat dinner here occasionally. The last few times I've eaten here were horrible. If I couldnt count on anything I usually could count on the fried chicken. Unfortantally today this turned out horrible also. Anything fried taste dried out. Anything stemmed taste dried out and prepared the day prior. The chicken is slightly pink inside and overly saltly. The string beans appear to have been sitting. I felt bad for wasting all the food I did today, however I coukdnt eat it. The best thing on the menu was the drink today. I think I'll try another spot moving forward.

This was not our first time there. This was the first time they added gratuities to our check (buffet restaurant?). The staff was not as courteous as before when they hoped to get a tip. We always left a generous tip and would have added to the tip they had already added to our bill. They did not clear used plates in a timely fashion even though they were not busy. They put fortune cookies tray on table while we were still eating and literally threw a hand full of cookies to other end of table. There is always 10 to 15 of us. This time there was ten of us. I decide where we have lunch at least once or twice a month. We won't return there anytime soon, if at all.

The few negative reviews about not being welcomed or dirty chairs is ridiculous. You don't go to a buffet for friendly chat or atmosphere. You go for good food at good prices. This place has both in abundance. I went on Father's Day and although the line was out the door , we only waited about 25 minutes. Everything was cooked right, hot and plenty of choices. I can't wait to go back.

I was excited when I searched Google maps for a restaurants around me on a recent trip. I live seafood, and here's a seafood buffet right near, position! It's not a seafood buffet, it's a typical Chinese buffet. The food was slightly below average for a Chinese buffet. Sushi was decent. Other food was average at best. The only real complaint I have is I went through over half my total time there with an empty glass. I didn't see the waitress after being seated. She picked up two used plates, and left the empty glass right next to them both times. Finally on my last trip to get a small bowl of ice cream, I had a full glass on my return. If I lived nearby, I might occasionally return, but there are much better Chinese buffet options around.

I had to stick with the shrimp and roasted potatoes on my second plate. Threw my first plate out. I hate wasting money because this place is high but I could not eat the soggy grilled fish and it had no taste to me. It is a beautiful place with a great selection though. Would be nice for groups or churches or family outings but sometimes the food just isn't seasoned the best.

One word of praise for "Ichiban" is... AMAZING! Their food is totally totally tasty. I walked in thinking it was the same old thing, but the cooks are point on with their preparations and seasonings making great food. I've been there several times and the seasonings on their food is outstanding. Their string beans are well seasoned to perfection, their broccoli just melts-in-your-mouth, with a little crunch. And their stuff potato..., well, I'll just say, you need to pray to step away from the potato bar! And the fried fish, oh my goodness, well seasoned, fried without being oily, and the taste, yes amazing! I've never been a Beefeater, I'm more into Seafood, but I will slide past the ribs and just take one small piece, it is so delightful to bite into it, it's not chewy and hard but subtle. I mean... I don't even like beef that much, what can I tell you, it's good! I can't say enough good about "Ichiban", great great food! I'm sure if you go you will not be disappointed. I wasn't, neither were any of my friends. Kudos "Ichiban", please keep up the good work!

I was extremely turned off by them today! I arrived around 3:20 and dinner starts at 3:30 so I pay the lunch price and the cashier tells me I cannot eat the dinner food which includes seafood and beef. Based on reviews this often happens. I will not be returning! Who does that! Get your policies together! Don't treat your customers that way!

It wasn't all that good. Only certain foods was good. Then they ran out of plates, we looked for like 3 minutes for more ox them. Also when we sat down it was a table with food all over the table and all over the floor and it took people at least 10-15 minutes before we started getting our food to start cleaning it up. Also they need to take the seafood part out of the name of the buffet. There is nothing that screams Seafood there so I was expecting more like maybe crab legs or Dungeness crabs or anything that actual scream "Seafood" it's only so little variety of seafood there is not a seafood place at all it's just a regular Chinese buffet. Never again will me or my family go there again I'm better off going to other ones I usually go to and they are way better then that one.

Plenty of parking and good staff that are quick to pick up any plates you are finished with or refill your drinks. Otherwise, the experience is exactly what you pay for. The restaurant is crowded, definitely not the cleanest place youll ever sit in, and pretty sure one of the ketchup bottles I used was expired because it fizzled as i squeezed some out. Food is decent at best, like I said earlier you get what you paid for. For 15 dollars, it's not a bad spot but I definitely won't be returning any time soon.

The food is not very fresh. The selection was a mixture of Asian and American and very little Japanese food so the name of the restaurant is misleading. It's over priced for less than average quality food and the toilets were not clean. I found mussel shells next to the bathroom sink. The staff were not friendly either. I would not go there again.

I arived at Ichiban right before 3:30. The hostess asked if i was there for diner or lunch. Said I wouldnt be able to enjoy the crawfish or steamed crabs for the lunch price. So i went for the dinner deal. There were no crabs out yet. After a bit, the crabs came out. They wer big! No spice though, only on the side. The scallops were a wonderful suprise. The BAD suprise was getting horribly sick that evening. Food poison, or bad food, not sure what to call it. But I felt like I was going to die! I will not go back. be warned!

We come here for their hibachi grill and sushi. There is a good assortment of other Chinese and Americana food for kiddos. The sushi is buffet quality, good but nothing compared to paying sushi only prices. The hibachi selection is great and they spice to taste. Definitely recommend this place.

For our large group of 50 plus, although the food was great, the service for our group had one visible waitress and our tables were never cleared throughout our 3.5hr stay until the end of the night. What a unique establishment. I'm not aware of anything else like it in this area. There is plenty of free off street parking and is handicapped accessible. The prices are good and the staff is friendly and they work hard to make your visit a pleasant one. I really like this establishment. This is a buffet so you select your food and serve yourself. A waitress will serve non-alcoholic drinks and clear the table of used plates if/when you go back for additional food. Don't forget to tip the ladies. They're working pretty hard to serve you, even if you are getting your own food. So many varieties of seafood and it's so hard to choose. It's great that it's an all you can eat buffet, this way you can try a little of everything from sushi, fish, crabs, Chinese and the hibachi grill. I usually head for the hibachi grill and choose my ingredients. They always seem to be noodles, shrimp and mushrooms, cooked with teriyaki sauce. There are other selections available but this is my favorite combination. If I'm is a rut, it's a great rut for me to be in! My mouth is watering now, just thinking about it! While that is being cooked, I'll try selecting some sushi if I'm feeling adventurous, clams and shrimp. There is a tip jar for the hibachi grill cooks. I always give something to these hard working guys there. If I still have some room, I'll get some mashed potatoes, corn and sauteed mushrooms. There is a selection of deserts. There are pies, cakes, cookies and vanilla or chocolate soft serve ice cream. I'm only scratching the surface of what is available here. There is so much to choose from. You can check out their menu and prices on-line. Additionally, you will find discount coupons available there. Telling you about this wonderful place has me wanting to go there for dinner today. If you go, I think you will be glad that you did and will surely return. Maybe I'll see you there.

I've made it a tradition to come here first if I'm seeing a movie with my aunt and we love this place! Food is always hot and fresh. Desserts could be better but it's not the main focus of the restaurant. Sushi and other seafood options are delicious. May be difficult to get a water refill because of how busy the place is so just ask any server if you need more.

The spinach was like spaghetti, my booth was dirty, i had to find my server. I had to ask for more salmon. If you go buy the dumpster area on your way into the entrance. You will see and smell trash thrown everywhere. Why dosent staff clean up this disgusting view. It reflects on the restaurant. I wonder what the kitchen looks like!

Holy shnikey, this is my absolute favorite buffet of anywhere local (they still cant beat Shady Maple Smorgasbord). They have so many delicious choices! I would come here once a week for the rest of my life if I could... never run out of options. I like the fried banana sushi - its something I can't find anywhere else. I was looking for a good buffet to take my mother to I read all the reviews. I only seen one comment from the owner. To the owner: if you value your customers you would not be on here talking trash. Read the bad reviews and make improvements, and maybe more people will come back and change their reviews. you trying to go back and forth with a customer dose not look good for you. A bad review usually will not stop me from eating at a restaurant it was the the owners response to the bad review. P.S. take time to clean your restaurant. Close for two or three days to clean and make repairs. The one star is for the owners comments to the customer.

I love the food but the owner has a very nasty disposition. She argued me down that my child wasnt 10 cuz she is big and tried to make me pay adult price for her!!! Then she had a nerve to racially profile me talking about "you always come here say shes 10 to pay lower price" ......it wasnt me lol f.y.i we dont all look the same!!!!!

They had a very large selection of food. Everything that I tried was hot and tasted great. The staff was very friendly, and very efficient. I will definitely visit again the next time I come to Philadelphia.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I went in to get take out food, drove home and when I opened it up I saw a bug in my food. I immediately called the restaurant they told me to bring the food back and they’ll refund me. Then they called me back and said because I left I couldn’t get the refund.... what? So I asked for the manager, again he stated once I bring it back they’ll refund me. So not only do I have to drive all the back just to get a refund for a bug in my food. I get there and it takes them about 20 mins just to refund me. The woman at the front insisted that it wasn’t a bug, that it was beef. I didn’t have any beef in my platter at all. You can tell the bug was cooked with the food and clearly see all the legs and antennas !! She had to call the manager again & send him pictures so I could get my refund. As she’s talking to him on the phone she says “she brought back the food & the bug” after insisting that it wasn’t one. Honestly it should’ve never took that long to get a refund for food that I didn’t even touch! Nobody wants something in their food that is or resembles a bug.

Holy shnikey, this is my absolute favorite buffet of anywhere local (they still cant beat Shady Maple Smorgasbord). They have so many delicious choices! I would come here once a week for the rest of my life if I could... never run out of options. I like the fried banana sushi - its something I can't find anywhere else. Also, google for a few coupons they offer.

Not many buffets deserve 5 stars but they DO. I love them, I love the clean and friendly atmosphere. I love the variety and well cooked and seasoned food. It's a must for me when I visit Philly.

Relatively good place for an afternoon or evening. Gets really busy, and yet, it's so quiet. Of course you'll have those occasional loud noises, but the quiet is shocking. If you want a sophisticated place to eat that satisfies your fish buffet needs, come here. Of course they have American and Chinese food, but coming here for the fish is the best experience.

I've passed this place for years and would always see plenty of people in and out. Today I kinda wanted a little bit of everything for lunch so I stopped in to see if they had to go containers and they did. I got pepper chicken, sweet and sour chicken, an egg roll, plantain, sushi and some string beans for under $7. Will be back.

Fiirst time there, surprisingly large inside. It was a busy time people celebrating high school graduations, didn't seem to effect services or food lines. All of the foods I tried were very good and hot and tasty. Nice selection and good sushi too. This is worth a visit and the price is worth it.

Food quality has dramatically diminished with new owners but prices are up way too high.o9 Pick through salad n fruit carefully. Most meat is old in salty sauces. Staff is very nice but limited English

My kids choose this restaurant over any other because they love that it's a buffet. The only complaint is that the staff treated us horribly being as though I did not order a plate and while my family was eating they watched us like hawks thinking I was eating from my daughter's plate. Other than that we love going there!!!
