My group (6 adults, 1 toddler) came here on a Saturday night. They did not have that many customers at the time. My husband was sitting at one end of the table with our daughter. We asked for a high chair and when the waiter brought it, he placed it close to the other end of the table. My husband moved the high chair closer to him and placed it to the head of the table next to him. When the waiter saw it, he practically yelled at us from across the room saying that the high chair couldn't be there because they needed to walk through there and that was why he placed the high chair on the other end to begin with. We perfectly understood his point and had no problem moving the high chair back, but the manner in which he said it was unacceptable. We decided to let it go and give him a break since we saw only 2 staff - the waiter and a bus boy - working that night and figured he was just exhausted.
We placed our order and everything seemed fine. One person from our group arrived a little late and was unable to give her order the same time we did. When we tried to call the waiter to give our friend's order, we could tell by his facial expression and body language that he looked annoyed.
Our food finally arrived and the waiter dropped off 2 stone pots with white rice on our table. 4 people ordered food that comes with rice. Waiter never explained that the rice was to be shared by 4 people. He didn't provide small bowls or plates either. By the way, the rice served to us was practically burnt! The quality of food wasn't great either. We go to Fort Lee and Palisades Park a lot and are familiar with good quality Korean/Japanese food.
Our experience was just uncomfortable because the waiter seemed irritated the entire time we were there. We witnessed him somewhat yelling at a couple who were sitting at a table meant for a bigger group and told them to move. While the waiter was in the kitchen, another small group came and the bus boy directed them to a table. When the waiter came out, he appeared upset again at the seating arrangement.
Definitely won't be back. We actually wanted to go to Bonchon (which was in the same area) but it was crowded so we ended up going to this restaurant.
My advice to the management and staff of this establishment: A little polishing on your customer service skills will surely go a long way.
