Saw this place during a late-night walk and thought I'd give it a try. So with friends, we gave this place a shot and we're glad we did. The staff were wonderful from the moment we entered. They took their time and explain the menu to ensure we understood the menu. Ordered the table BBQ and it was amazing. My friends and I truly enjoyed the food. It was hot, delicious and filling. The only downside was the price was a little steep, but after that meal and the outstanding service, we were happy to pay. Will be back.

Not on the main "Korea town" street, but there was no wait. We got the combo for two with DEUNGSIM, SAENG GALBI, YANGNYEOM GALBI, AND SUKIYAKI. I was starving so take this with a grain of salt, but I thought it was excellent! There were a bunch of Korean ppl there so I'm guessing their quality was acceptable. My only complaint is that the bathroom was on the gross side and smelled funny.

High quality K-BBQ! Had the pork belly and the chicken and was very impressed. They do the grilling and BBQ'ing for you too which is nice. Unlimited "extras" (tofu, pickled veggies, etc) with the meal too. Will definitely return.

Service is quite slow at 4 PM done people actually came and left without the restaurant knowing, others say but never got service so left. The rice for my dish was to soft ( idk if that is coming for Korean rice) and I actually ordered the dish with noodles. The dish didn't have much flavor either. The presentation was nice. But overall this place was disappointing. Will not return as there are too many options around.

Korean BBQ outside of Ktown. Very good quality and service. They have a very good exhaust system so you don't wind up smelling of smoke when your done. The downside is that it is a bit loud so a little difficult to engage in conversation. Plenty of food at good value and quality. Great service!!

Very very good restaurant. It tastes just like if you were in Korea. I highly recommend to order something on the barbecues of course. Amazing lunch I had here. I ordered a chulpan, beef was juicy with the right level of saturated sauce, rice was steamed just right, and the over easy cooked egg on top of the rice elevated the taste to an upper level. Especially when you mix the egg-covered rice with a little bit of the beef juice carrying the sauce. Onion slices were a bit softer than I expected though, but it's not a flaw. Price wise, $15 a person for the lunch if you don't order any drink, miso soup was included each combo. It's your decision whether to give it a shot or not, but I would strongly recommend this place. Forgot to take photos, sorry, enjoyed myself too much when having my lunch.

Stopped in for lunch on 10/13 just before 1:00pm. Only a couple of tables were occupied, but decided to give it a chance. Ambience and decor were upscale, modern Korean music playing. Ordered the marinated Galbi even though they will only cook it in the back for a one person order instead of at the table. Nonetheless, it came out reasonably quickly on a bed of lightly sautéed onions, carrots and peppers with a good amount of juice on a hot metal plate. Very good flavor and texture. Served with 6 accompanying dishes and red bean paste. Delicious on a rolled up leaf of romaine lettuce. I will definitely put Hee in the rotation when I am back in the area.

De-fugging-licious! Ate there less than 2 hours ago and I'm still wanting more even tho I'm do full I'm about to explode! Our server was really good as well, he made sure our meat was perfect and helped us with refills and drinks quickly. We ordered the bulgogi beef Bbq and that was pretty good. The chicken bbq was also tasty but I am not a fan of chicken breast meat, initially though it was gonna be the more tender thigh regions but nope, oh well, it was not bad and well marinated. Absolutely recommend!

Went here with my friends because we were craving Korean bbq. The food is Great! My only complaint is that if you want to actually do Korean bbq (grilling your own food), it's quite expensive ($100 and up). This is probably due to the location (NYC). I've seen other places with more reasonable prices in New Jersey.

The way I ended up in here was a bit funny. I just came off the bus from Canada and it started to rain, but not just any kind of rain, there was a massive down pour and we were getting soaked. We decided to just sit down and eat wherever we found first. We found this place. It was freezing inside and we were soaked, but a Korean BBQ was on my bucket list, so it was perfect. The food was great although it was quite pricey. I think I'll create my own at home BBQ next time to save money, but I'm happy with the experience.

We went here for BBQ. This is a lovely place. The meat is delicious, but the portions are huge. You can easily feed 4 people with the set meal for 3. Unique to this restaurant is that the BBQ comes with sukiyaki which has a really superb broth and is freshly cooked on the stove at your table. The ambiance here is also really nice. Each table has a stove in the center for BBQ and an elegant brass vent hanging above it. The walls are decorated in real stone.

Well this place is fantastic. The food is really good, the staff was friendly. The atmosphere was perfect. We had someone that was with us who had been there to help, but you could literally randomly pick and it won't go poorly. Soup was amazing. Korean BBQ regulars or newbies will enjoy this. Very good Korean BBQ. Expensive, but they all are. The meat here was really good; I particularly recommend the marinated short ribs. We also got the prime rib eye and pork belly, which were also very tasty. The sides were plentiful and yummy, but the sauces weren't quite was good as other places I've been. Overall though I would recommend Hee, especially if looking for a restaurant not quite in K Town.

They do not have any of the wine on their wine list and will not let you byo from across the street wine store. Not sure about the soju we gave up on asking. The waiter mentioned that they might be in the process of revamping their menu offerings ? The food was good.

We came in on a cold, rainy night on 3/3/19. We and the person in front of us waited at the hostess station ignored for what seemed like forever. The person in front of us left. That was the highlight of the experience, it went downhill from there. There were 3 large table that hadn't been cleared with the refuse of previous diners. The hostess was bust tallying bills and didn't even make eye contact. Serving staff seemed to be wandering about aimlessly. We got seated and got menus, followed by another interminable wait. The hostess was taking some orders, serving some food and clearing tables, while the other staff kept wandering about to no apparent purpose. Soup, dumplings, and entree arrived all at once. The dumpling were soaking wet, apparently boiled not steamed, and flavorless. The hot bimbimbop I ordered was a pile of flavorless rubbery pork with scarcely a vegetable, or even rice, in sight. I took a couple mouthfuls and left it. This was the worst Korean food I ever had, and it was overpriced - even by NYC standards - for what it was. Food and service were both horrible, among the worst I've had anywhere. I should have stayed out in the rain.

We had korean bbq combo for two people and it was worth every penny. The staff was courteous and very helpful as there was always someone helping us make sure the meats are cooked perfectly. Aside from a platter of meat, we got multiple sides such as seaweed salad, kimchi, or tofu. Once we run out of something, it was replaced so that we never run out of things we like. We're definitely going back!

I've eaten at this restaurant twice now, and that is only because I've given this place the benefit of doubt after my first horrible experience. No improvement whatsoever. There is only one waiter (puffy haired short man) who was attentive and the other waiters seemed to be on their phone the whole time. During my second stay, literally the whole restaurant staffs--servers, cooks, runners, delivery boy, etc were having lunch, grilling meat and fuming smoke all over the place while there were other customers trying to enjoy their food. When the smoke got too much, they kept the door opened which had many customers at discomfort of freezing wind gushing in. It was actually funny and I was quiet amused. The food isn't horrible, don't get me wrong. However, you can buy much better Korean food with more variety of delicious side dishes at other KBBQ locations--for half the price, at 2x quality and service. Don't trip, fellas- listen to the honest reviews.

This was my second experience with Korean BBQ and I was not disappointed. My friend and I split one of the meaty meals that runs ~$80 along with a bottle of wine and spend 2+ hours just enjoying the food and ambiance without being rushed. The staff is pretty attentive (though could do better with refilling beverages) and they do cook for the food for you, great if you'd rather not cook your own meal. I'd definitely return!
