REVIEWS OF Five Senses (Koreatown) IN New Jersey

Saman Habibi Esfahani

Good, but expensive beef short rib. Kimchi fried rice was good. Nice but crowded space (30 minutes in line).

Naomi

Best restaurant on 32nd street at this moment - while the rest have waned in quality, 5 Senses has maintained their quality consistently ever since they opened. Only sad thing is that they are no longer 24 hours, this used to be my favorite late night spot here. Their stews are amazing and the double cooked pork is another favorite.

Demetrios Constantine

Very delicious, great atmosphere, good service, though a little expensive. What do you expect being near times square? They served my food on a steaming hot stone dish, which cooked the scrambled egg upon pouring it on the dish... Great presentation! My only complaint was that the food did not cool off at all, making it hard to eat at times. Overall though it was a good experience, very good Korean food.

Lynn Li

I have been this restaurant twice. The food is ok, but the appetizers were not good as another restaurant. My friend and I must share one table with other people. The second time, the waitress went to outside to catch us because she said we didn't give her enough tips and showed us the number on the our receipt with terrible attitude. That made us confused and uncomfortable.

Roger Rosenquist

I really enjoyed the food here. The seafood scallion pancake was a great appetizer, but my favorite part was definitely the spicy pork loin. I would definitely recommend that if nothing else. It's somewhat costly, but they give you huge portions, so I'd say it's worth it.

Luigi Mondelli

Great food, and service. One of the best Korean places on 32nd ST.

Amanda Luken

I went with a party of 5 for lunch on Fourth of July and we waited maybe 5 minutes. The place was packed and started clearing out around 2 pm. The small dishes before the meal were decent. I personally liked the pickled cucumbers the most and didn’t really care for the mashed potatoes or peanuts with sardines(?). As for our meals, I ordered the kimchi fried rice and would highly recommend it! If you’re okay with cheese, definitely get it with cheese and eggs. When the kimchi fried rice arrives on the stone, one of the wait staff will add the eggs and cheese for you and stir it up until they cook and melt, respectively. The cheese just completes the dish. Also, if you like it to be a little spicier, like I do, you can add the spicy sauce in the red bottle on the table. Someone else at my table ordered the squid dish, featured right below the kimchi fried rice on the menu. They enjoyed it, but their mouth was on fire. The wait staff were very attentive and we hardly waited for water refills.

Darshan Choudhary

The food was hot and excellent!

Jun Yuan

A place never made me disappointed. Super nice Korean food!

Taki Murao

No bad food here, everything is amazing!

Linda Walls

Very delicious, great atmosphere, good service, though a little expensive. What do you expect being near times square? Wouldn't come again - but the food is good. I Like Korean food a lot, and like to try lots of places. We ordered the seafood pancake, tofu soup, and kimchi fried rice. + Seafood pancake was full of seafood and OIL. It was legit dripping in oil. I would have hoped that the pancake stayed together and in one piece making it easier to eat, and not making my hands and chopsticks all oily. + Tofu soup was standard. Nothing spectacular. + Kimchi Fried rice was a miss for me, but a hit with my friend. The waitress who did the egg for us screwed up and got egg on the table and like in the rice so we really didn't have any egg. Service wasn't the best, food was standard. I prefer BCD Tofu, but this place is good if you prefer to not have tofu soup.

Grace Fong

This is my go-to Koreatown restaurant because the food is good, and the line moves quickly. Very little space to stand or move - they fill it to the brim. However, they have a huge variety of dishes. The grilled meat is good, but the huge shared hotpot is mind-blowing. Also try the specialty kimchi rice with cheese and egg which melts and cooks in front of you!

John Moquin

Everything was amazing except the service. Not the level of professionalism but the lack of attention. Frustratingly difficult to get everything from extra napkins to take home boxes. Get the crispy chicken wings. They will not disappoint.

Bleu naman

So expensive for ordinary korean food. Overall, it was too sweet and didnt taste better than any other places. Plus there was a looong line

John De Mata

Tasty food. Most tender bbq! Deliciousness

jing miao

Eat stinky crab. The waiter said it was the taste of sea.

Manaal Faruqui

Great food. Pricy but standard for midtown prices. Be aware of 30 mins wait for parties of more than 2.

Sherley Chiu

Kimchi fried rice was my favorite. Good food with busy staffs.

Vee Yeo

Some really awesome korean food in the heart of ktown. Picked up the seafood hotpot which was so reasonably priced considering the heaping amounts of seafood you get. There was so much I ended up making another serving myself with the takeaway. The service is professional and quick and we were helped the whole time with a knowledgable server! ♡

Megan Gillen

This place gets busy very quickly and they don’t seat you until everyone in your party is there, but the food is good! Got the kimchi fried rice and it was a big portion, decently priced for NYC.

Tinya Sensie

Ordered a broth dish that I didnt like due to its blandness. Even the server said its typically bland unbeknown to me. They refused to switch the order and made me pay. A very poor display of customer service.

Kevin Lyle

Awesome Bulgogi, Kimchi, fried squid, seafood soup and lightning fast service! Five Senses gets 5 stars!

Alexia Gu

Best. Seafood. Pancake. Ever!! Thick, crispy, and loaded with big pieces of fresh seafood: Squid, shrimp, and even oysters! Fast and friendly service. Waiting time was very reasonable on a busy Friday night. My new favorite spot in Ktown.

Anna Kim

Food is alright - not too bad but the flavor isnt 100% authentic either. My friend thought his kimchi jjigae was watered down and not even remotely spicy.. I get it - they are trying to be non-asian friendly. But he also said it was sweet. Thats a no-no. My sul-long tang was actually pretty good. Paired it with their fresh kimchi which was crunchy and garlicky (yum). I am giving this place a 1 star not based on "okay" food but for their horrible management of loud customers. First, they squeeze you in the line by the door to get my customers to come in during happy hr (literally telling us "could you move in closer?so more pple can come in"). Next was while we are eating there was one table in the corner (group of only 4. Not 10) who was being obnoxiously loud, banging on table laughing, screaming across the table over their bottles of sojus. Even though the place is always loud bc it is so packed, this time ot was over the limit - to the point where i couldnt hear my friebd but all I can hear was what the guy in the corner was screaming to his soju buddies. Unless you are officially changing your business motto to a Five Senses Bar and Lounge, moderate customer behaviors to one that befits a restaurant. Nobody went over to say anything even though a lot of tables were glancing at them for being loud. If you want to eat in a bar that happens to sell korean food, sure go here. But if not, expect a lot of table banging highschool/college kids yelling screaming over sojus and you wont be able to hold a normal conversation with your company eating an overpriced kimchijjigae. P.S. they actually dimmer the lights at around 8 to a create a very bar-like ambience which was so weird because imagine you are drinking your soup and the light keeps getting darker and darker all of a sudden... sigh. Go eat in Flushing for more authentic korean food thats a whole lot cheaper and better in quality (minus the annoying crowd).

Lance Allison

Awesome food, great atmosphere

Nia Garcia

Food is amazing. Staff is nice and very accommodating (had an issue with the charcoal flavor of one of the dishes, they remade the same dish using a different cooking method). Sometimes a bit of a wait, but it is definitely worth it

Maksimilian Dikarev

Amazing food. Hands down. Nothing bad. Kimchi fried rice is out of this world. Please. Go eat here! Whatever wait is there - well worth it!

Helen Cheng

Hands down the Korean restaurant with the best Food in k-town with the least waiting time. The food is on point and portion sizes are large. You can’t go wrong ordering anything off their menu.

Sandra Steensels

Amazing food, fast and good service. A great place to discover Korean food in Manhattan

Thayaashangar Theivendran

One of the best Korean Restaurant in New York City.

Hee Ran Huh

Wanted to try this place long time and today I had the chance to try. I got greeted and was seated right away which was good in the beginining. I looked through the menu and there was nothing really amazing food. It same as most other places have. Since it was my first time being there I didn't know what to get. So I decided to go simple. Just ordered a dish called monk fish. First time when we tried our dish it was just too salty for us to eat it so we asked one of the waiter to remake it. Honestly I don't think they remade it. Probably they added some sugar and that's about it. Because I asked them to put less vegetable and less salty. But it was just same! It had bunch of vegetables. Not just that the fish they used on my dish wasn't fresh! Its a definitely from a fridge. I tried monk fish at other restaurant and I have made at home before so I do know! This fish was chewy instead of softness that will fall off the bone. The water was definitely a sink water! It tasted nasty so didn't bother drinking the water. The two stars I gave was for the 2 young waitress because they were very attentive asking how things were. There was another waitress around her 50s kept tapping my chair and standing in back of me while I'm eating was disappointed. Overall didn't finished my dish because it was just sad experience. Oh yeah the price for the menu it's just too expensive. Also there's a small fly going inside the restuarant. That fly just fell inside my beer cup. The bathroom is dirty should be cleaned. I dont think I will want to come back and give another try due to all the experience I had with them today.

Yanjaa Wintersoul

Bad service, even worse food. Waste of time waiting in line, disrespectful, inedible. THE worst Korean dining experiences I've had in my life.

Han Song

Food is great, but arrogant service. They need to learn how to treat their customers.

Amir Hamid

Great food. A little pricey but still good

Keymind

Cant wait to go back

Shirley Chen

Kimchi fried rice cheese taste good. Get 5% off if you pay by cash.

TY C

The service was okay Weekday lunch was bit crowded. Wait about 15 mins to be sit it. I ordered cheese fries rice. They help you to mix cheese and egg in front of you. Pretty fancy Taste pretty good, but because that was a hot iron plate, so the fried become very hard with burned taste in the end. So maybe you need to keep stir by yourself while you are eating. They have pretty good appetizer as well.

Suji

비추해요 ㅠㅠ 예약 안해도 갈수있다는 점이 유일한 장점. As Korean, this place really disappointed. The food does not have any character and quality is below average. Too salty and artificial. I was not happy with service either. There was no soul in general.

Kim Sung Ae Linda

Its little crowded but people are kind and service is good. Food was good!

Laura Domic

Mm-hmmmm....Fresh, fast. Awesome!

Urooj Ansari

They have great food. I tried aumonium soup and soju. Simply loved it.

Lenur Yusupov

Been here a few times, and highly liked the soups: spicy beef and spicy pork-belly ramen; the spicy fish was okay (but perhaps i am not the biggest fan of fish soups). Appetizers: kimchi pancakes and dumplings, were okay, but a bit of a let down (nothing special). The service is super fast, so if you are in a rush, this is a perfect spot for sit-to-leave in 30 mins.

Qi Chen

Very good service and food! Very good for a quick work meal. The lunch special portion is just right for either men or women. The side dishes are tasty too!

Levi Lewis

Having spent a year in Korea I know the real deal. Wife loved the beef bulgogi, my som and I both crushed the chicken bulgogi, daughter & mom were in heaven with the Ddukmandoo Good and I was in a time warp back to Osan enjoying a Cass beer.

Oren Elmaliah [] Accounting Team

Great food and choice

Demi Nicks

We had a party of two, one in a wheelchair. Immediately upon opening the restaurant door, there was an obstruction that had to be moved. Only walking persons with no assistive equipment would be able to pass. The host asked if the wheelchair user could get out of the wheelchair. When we said no, the host kept eyeing at the wheelchair, and said that the restaurant was small, and that the chair would be too big, posing a risk of having a waiter spill hot soup (since the wheelchair would take up space). There was an empty table that had a good bit of room around it, but when we pointed to it and asked about it, all he said was “maybe”. Needless to say, we left without eating there. It’s understandable having a small space, but then there should be a designated spot for at least one wheelchair user. We were basically denied entrance because of disability, which is unacceptable.

Melissa Stanley

Maybe the best Korean bbq I’ve ever had. Incredibly efficient service and worth a visit if you’re in town

Matt

Really delicious. Music is a tad loud but the food more than makes up for it. Have been several times and look forward to coming back!

Yanci Sanchez

The food here is so good

Patrick Holmes

My girlfriend and I were here one night and it was one of the worst meals we had in recent memory. It was inedible. I’ve come here for years usually late night and it was always on point. That’s the reason I was so surprised how truly terrible it was for $70!!! My money would have been put to better use if I had thrown it in the street. I’m greedy and will usually eat things anyway. Even I could not stomach it.

Jasper Lee

Fast service with good sides and generous portions. Got my Korean fix!

Laurine Gochard Lezebot

Good food but bad service. The manager was snotty and not welcoming.

miaaaim

Tofu soup(순두부찌개) tastes really nothing but just water and kimchi. Also tofu is not soon tofu but just regular tofu. Surprisingly faked korean food.

Ally Liu

Omg.. So horrible service... Especially compared to other places in K-town.

Pipsa Saarento

6.30pm on a Saturday - they take you in and just as you think you are getting a table they bring you in and and make you wait for your table at the narrow passage way in to the bathrooms! Absolutely disgusting - both in behavior and as an experience. Will not be coming back here.

Edwina Lee

Seafood food is not fresh! It’s a expensive fast food restaurant. Not recommend.

jianan duan

The seafood pancake is amazing! I will come back again!

Dennis Zhong '20

Spent over an hour waiting to find out that we could not be seated because we didn’t order enough food

Zijun Zhao

nice Service nice food, not cheap though

Helena Breek

not even 1 star. I don't recommend this restaurant.

Malcolm Lee

Good Korean food

Sissy Ichinohe

Taste ok, looks greater!

Sam Faulkner

Just finished the most delicious food of our whole trip to nyc. Number 51 was so good.

Carmen Chan

Nice restaurant, great food, decently priced located in Ktown. Only downside of this place is THEY DON'T TAKE RESERVATIONS. We went as a big group and had to wait an additional 30 mins after waiting outside in the line for a big table. The staff were pleasant enough so it wasn't too bad. I would go back for sure if I'm in NYC and craving for Korean food.

Hannah Goodman

This place may or may not have other items worth ordering. However all prices should be reduced by $2-$3 since it all seems like such a rip off... Bibimbap w/ beef is $19 ?? (oh please). Went there recently with 2 of my friends and ordered the Ribeye beef bu sut jeongol ($55) the broth was completely flavorless, it tasted like they used half of an instant beef ramen soup flavoring packet (yes I DO mean half of a packet because the entire thing tasted watered down). On a brighter note, the staff is very nice and the atmosphere is fun/young feeling! This helped bring this place from a 2 star to a 3 star rating.

Tammy Liu

We saw people waiting and thought, it must be good, so waited also and got in pretty quickly. Disclaimer: not Korean, so not commenting on authenticity. Based on years of eating Korean food in CA, the seafood pancake was bad; the beef was okay, but way too expensive; the rice with squid on grill was ok; the cold noodles was below average. Service was rushed, place was extremely noisy. Really not a pleasant a place to have dinner!

Eric Mok

The wait can be long during peak hours (evenings) but it's worth it

Frederica Wang

The place was way too loud and has really large tables so it's impossible to have a conversation. The food was only okay considering the price.

Brian Anscomb

Amazing Dol Pan Kimchi Bokum Nap and Dol Pan Nakji Dup Bap! The best in Manhattan!

Gabriel Agostini

Good quality, quick service. Can get super busy and is always somewhat loud. Good for a casual, fast meal.

Mohammed Shadman

Never ceases to delight us... this is one of my regular Korean go to spots - and it’s awesome every time. From kimchi fried rice to seafood scallion. It’s great

Tee Ash

Good food. Courteous service

Ryan Clarke

Delicious Korean BBQ. Short ribs are a must

Sylvia B

We ordered kbbq, spicy pork, kimchi soup, and soondooboo. But the soondooboo had broccoli in it. The taste was just standard.

Aletheia E

Good food, efficient service. Pricey. Busy atmosphere, cramped seating.

TY

Was craving some Korean food so we stopped in here. The food was delicious, the service was good, the prices higher then I'm used to. That all said, I would definitely come back.

Jordan Knight

Maybe the best Korean bbq I’ve ever had. Incredibly efficient service and worth a visit if you’re in town.

vallurupalli sivarupesh

Great food..tried kimchi chicken rice..its one of the best I had

Michael Langan

Good authentic Lorean Food...excellent

calvin ang

Typical, but slightly elevated Korean food at a slightly elevated price. As an example, the seafood pancake features a crisp bottom that is uncharacteristic of its soggier counterparts found throughout the area. A must try if it fits in your budget and if you take the crowds during peak times. Otherwise, you had best visit during the week.

Carolina Fernandez

First time in New York and of course I need to go to Koreatown , my little one love Kimchi, Here the food is heaven and even though I don’t have experience with Korean food the menu was easy to decide what to eat , the customer service was ok they bring everything on time , me and my family had a good time in this restaurant.

Erica Robles

Five senses was a great place to eat. My friends and I came for some food and were seated immediately. We shared an appetizer and also had our own food. I'm vegetarian and was able to ask them to make my dish without any meat. Waiters were very nice. I ordered my dish with tofu but they forgot to add it in. I asked them to fix it and they did. I will definitely come back with my other friends!

Huang bigneko

Nice place for lunch! Very valuable lunch special menu.

Suazee Chang

This place is something you should definitely check out. I love the korean styled environment and the food there. Before heading out, I would recommend the red bean tayaki fish at the right of your side before leaving the building!

John Choe

You can find well-cooked and plated Korean cuisine at Five Senses. The authentic flavor and good service here stands out in comparison with other places in the Koreatown neighborhood of Manhattan. This restaurant is usually packed so you might have to wait.

Lily X

Not a big fan. The dishes are mediocre and I don’t see why there’s always a LOOOOONG wait.

Jason G

Pretty good Korean food. I arrived around 7pm and there was around 15 people in line. I was expecting a long wait, but we were surprisingly seated within 15 minutes. Best dishes: Yangnyeom galbi, chicken wings

Andy Ng

Fantastic Korean eatery in the heart of Korea Town. This place gets busy very quickly, but the service is fast and efficient (although waiting for your table by the restrooms can be a nuisance). The waitstaff regularly check in with you to make sure everything is in order, and the dishes come out swiftly.

Tom Roger

Had high expectations but the food we ordered was just okay, did NOT make us wow, so we felt it was not worth the money spent!

nivesh aggarwal

Amazing atmosphere and food. Right there in Korea town. Service is great and staff is very friendly and polite. Serving size is huge like really big. Loved the place and highly recommend it. Also this place has great veggie options. We ordered Soondubu Jjigae Spicy and Dol Pan Kimchi Bokum Bap. Both dishes were amazing.

Amerigo Delli Bove

I asked for a Spicy Octopus something and I got lots of cabbage, rice, carrots and 8/10 little pieces of octopus (as small as a green bean)!!! Is this a Korean place? No way Absolutely a no go!

Arthur E.

Happy friendly tasty place. Loved my Kim chi fried rice.

Universal Human

One of my favorite Korean restaurants. This place is always full of energy. Food is really tasty.

Joryssa Humphreys

Cool. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. I Recommend seafood pancake!

Annie Stoll

Probably my fav restaurant in Ktown. Their wings are really good- you should try them. All the soups are refreshing. Worth the wait.

Mohammad Naimur Rahman

Food was not served in right order. Appetizer and soup came after main dish. Stuff did not take care the table after the food is served. Won’t refer to anyone to try average quality food.

Hector Pena

Great food. Quick service.

Tengku Irvan Bahran

Delicious Korean Restaurant...

Mo Song

Satisfying food with good services

Michael Persson

The food here was great. Portions are a little small, but it encourages you to try multiple things, and you won't regret doing so.

Andres Diaz-Borda

Lots of interesting and fun food. Definitely recommend

George Vettom

Great food, limited drink selection but definitely worth the trip.

beatrizf31

I have been here plenty of times since my friends, sister and I love the kimchi fried rice and how open everything is. That said, I think today will be the last time I go there for a long time. It was around 1300 and it was a busy Sunday afternoon before Labor Day. There was a line inside but enough space that my sister and I should fit inside without getting in the way of people exiting. We get inside and wait patiently for the hostess to ask how many are in our party. Instead, some guy who we are guessing is the manager at this time and tells us to wait outside, as well as the Asian couple who was about to walk in. When we go outside and line up he doesn’t like where we are lined up and tells us to go to the side of the building and otherwise ignores us. He asks the Asian couple that came AFTER us how many are in their party but never asked us even though we are ahead of them. If you see that the line is long why do you as the manager stand all the way by the front of the line, where you can’t see who’s coming in, instead of standing near the entrance in order to direct people without making them feel like they’re stupid for trying to stand inside where they can be seen? Moreover, why do you as the manager think it’s okay to treat your customers as less important due to their race or because they look young? My sister and I are Hispanic and are often told we look young for our age. Even when there was space inside for us to stand he never came to tell us to come in or ask how many people are in our party. When the hostess finally saw us she asked and we were seated immediately. Also, you cannot buy soju unless it’s after 12 and everyone at your table is 21 and over. Our waitress never came to check back on us. You will see the bus boys more than you’ll ever see your waiter when you go here so make sure you order everything in one go. We weren’t even done with our food and they gave us the check without asking if we wanted anything else. I had taken a minute break from eating to put my credit card down and another waitress asked me if I was done when I still had about half my soup left. It felt like they were trying to kick us out of there. They won’t have to worry though since I won’t be back for a long time if ever. Two stars for food and bus boy service.

shaw civitarese

One of my go-to institutions in Manhattan. Always great food and super fast.

S B

Wow! We just finished a meal and were blown away by the quality and portions you get here. Wife and myself were looking to get something to eat a little late for midtown after 10pm, so we had to go a little south to Korea town to get food. We just walked up to this place, looked tough the window and were sold. You know the food is good when most of the patrons at the restaurant are Korean, and let me tell you, we weren’t disappointed. Food and service were prompt and delicious. We had dumplings and chefs special accompanied with some Sapporo. Top notch!

Sandy Yang

Dol Pan Kimchi Bokum Bap and Yangnyeom Galbi were delicious

Rashman Kengatharamoorthy

Got a Baby Octopus dish yesterday and it was great. Would recommend, just make sure you can handle your spices or ask for mild. Our service was fast. Enjoy!

Animesh Gour

Great food. The spicy Berkshire pork shoulder is out of this world good. Great chicken wings too

Irma Rivera

Ate at this restaurant about a week ago during a visit into the city with a friend. Food was awesome and priced reasonably, a little crowded but that’s understandable to eat here at lunch time, good atmosphere fast friendly service. We ordered an assortment of different dishes. I now love Korean food will definitely eat here again next time I’m in the city.

Dayyan Adoor

Visited this place multiple times and it's always extremely busy and you would be lucky to not have waiting time to get a table. But definitely worth waiting for. One of the best Korean restaurants in NYC, even if you are looking for BBQ. Service is excellent and quick It's a very busy and crowded restaurant, but if you are looking for great Korean food, then this is definitely the place to go!

Miaoye Que

Five senses is really popular but in fact it has okay food, very loud environment (hard to talk to friends while eating) & the service staff are too busy to take good care of you. My friend literally swallowed 1 inch of metal wire along her food!! Her order was cancelled and the waiter compensated her with another free order, but still

Samantha Jourdan

Nice vibe and I enjoy the atmosphere. Food was amazing!

Jo M

This was my second visit to Five Senses. The first time, I didn't make it in cause they closed the door on me when I tried to go in cause they had some type of emergency in their kitchen. This visit, Five Senses happened to be the second restaurant for the night cause the first one we went to was horrible. But that's for another review. This place feels small and cramped inside. Tables on each side, but one longer communal table divided by small planters in the middle. Entrance into the restaurant is also tight as they put up belts and stanchions to divide the space... which means you've got to be super skinny or bump into people. Anyway... we were looking for something better and knew kimchi fried rice was a must. Also ordered the seafood pancake and mandu. I don't eat red meat so my friends ate the mandu. Guess it was ok, but they didn't finish it all. The seafood pancake was meh. Not enough batter and didn't really seem cooked through. They also didn't cut it very well so it was a mess trying to pick up a slice. We only got through half of it. Kimchi fried rice was good. But you know, I can also make it at home. Only thing I don't do at home is the fancy show of pouring the cheese and mixing it on a sizzling plate. Had a couple bottles of peach soju to wrap it all up. Service was sporadic. Food came out quickly, but after that, wait staff was scarce to get the check and pay. Next time I go to Koreatown, I'll want to try something else instead.

Joshua A.

Just an ok restaurant based on the Bi Bim Bap that I ordered.

Alex Lou

Good seafood pancake.

Maneepan Pondee

I love Gimji soup so much. I came with various side dishes and white rice. Atmosphere is good. Staffs are nice and friendly.

Matthew Read

Get the Dol Pan Kimchi Bokum Bap, it's fantastic

Julius Kellinghusen

Food was good, but the portions we quite small for the cost. There are plenty of other places close by where you can get twice as much food for the same price.

A Wong

Great place, lively. Food was delicious, tofu soup was fresh. Good place for a date and well worth the waiting time.

Dianna Chou

Ox tail soup had a good amount of really soft tendons, rather than the meaty kind of ox tail. Seafood soup was decent too. They were very good with bringing us more banchan without us asking. Once the food arrives, service is a bit slow for getting more water or the check. Very long lines.

Yura Kim

I came here with my sister at 6pm on a weekday and we didn't have to wait to be seated. The food here is amazing and the staff are nice and attentive. Some of the food is traditional Korean food and some is a fusion with modern inspirations. We got the 부대찌개 (army base soup) and it was exactly how I remembered it from Korea. We also got the 탕수육 (sweet and sour pork) which had two different sauces different from the transitional way of eating it. Both were delicious!

Hugh Tran

I love five senses. Much more menu options and tastier then its competitor on the second floor. The bi bim naeng myun here is delicious and it’s my favorite thing to get! Along with the endless side dishes aka banchan and their potato salad

Anna Reyna

Amazing Experience!

Chui Ming Tang

Relatively short wait in ktown. We were seated immediately even though the restaurant was pretty full. There is a good variety of options to choose from in the menu. Loved the banchan and my Pork Jowl Salad. Price is a little high for lunch but still quite good.

John Sullivan

Really good. 5% discount for cash which helps with the tip. If there are bad restaurants on 32 at I haven't been to them.

유리이

Highly recommend this restaurant. I think I had the seolleongtang here?

JongMan Koo

Great for lunch. Can get very cramped/crowded.

Max P

We called an audible upon seeing the line at BCD, and ended up here. There were a few people in line, but as a group of three we were lucky to be seated right away at 645 on a Sunday. I got the Ogam fresh ramen bokum noodles with beef; there were tasty and interestingly included Brussels sprouts and asparagus.

Cheny Ng

Super disappointed by the short ribs kalbi. It's overly disgusting marinated. If the quality of the meat is good to begin with, it shouldn't be so overly seasoned. The server asked about my dining experience. I gave her my honest opinion. She apologized that i didn't like it and gave us the bill.

Hanwen Feng

The service can be no more bad

Mina Mir

Tried a few dishes, felt like some dishes were made spicy for the sake of covering up a lack of flavor. Not worth the price point, in my opinion.

Zuhal Taş

Clean place. Delicious food. A little pricey but it was good

Ashwin Raj Kumar

Five senses serve Korean food and the food was awesome. They have great soups, appetizers, and main course options. The unique part is the food is served on hot pans, which keep the food hot until completion of the meal. Also, each dish has a choice of vegetarian or meat option such as chicken, beef, pork, or sea-food option. It is located close to the Orange (BDFM) and Yellow line (NQRW) train station on the 34th st herald square. Overall, the restaurant has a great ambiance and quick service.

I like this spot! They give marvelous food, their menu is varied, The chief cook in that restaurant is a real pro, I like a lot trying all their dishes. The food is always of high qualtity, the service towards the customers is agreeable. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never unhappy. I recommend this place.

My favorite korean restaurant in ktown :)

The food and service was great!

Very reliable and often busy. I enjoy their kimchi jiggae (but sometimes it is salty) and also the scallion pancake. I have had stews, meats, fish, and all were very good.

One of the best places to eat Korean food. Great food and generous portion. One draw back would be that the banchans are not so tasty. Kimchi was simply not up to a standard.

Christine Käser-Chen

This is my go-to place in k-town! Delicious food, unpretentious, and huge portions. Service is fast, and no fuss for refilling banchan. Love their galbi jjim!!

Them K Pop boy bands eat here, and now I know why . . . Cause a certain Korean conglomerate has their hands in everything, including this restaurant. But hey, the food is good.

Atma Khalsa

Food was fine but the place is crowded. Waited in line, then they moved us to wait New the bathrooms for a couple more minutes (kind of awkward). The friend I went with is a very slow eater, so we were there for a while. Normally a waiter will come by to check on things a few minutes into the meal but this didn’t happen until 45 mins in. Kind of nuts. I had wanted a spoon at one point and kept looking around to get someone’s attention to no avail. Eventually gave up. Appetizers and soup were good but the fish was bland.

My first time trying Korean food, and visited twice so far. The food was good and great customer service.
