Here you will be able to see all the reviews of real people who use the products of Fiddleheads Restaurant, New American Bistro (Restaurant) in the area close to New Jersey.
Right now this business gets a score of 4.6 over 5 and the score has been calculated on 178 reviews.
As you can read, the average score it has is nearly the best, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to value when they are happy with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put scores when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Bistro.
Outstanding food in a friendly, comfortable environment. From Burgers and Hawaiian shirts to high-end cuisine, Fiddleheads gets it all right.
Truly excellent.
Always a pleasure eating there. Would recommend it to all!
Just had a great meal with Friends@ Fiddleheads! My Big Eggs & Bacon Breakfast..very Yummy! French Toast with Peaches a Winner, too.
Good food strange vibe.
One of my favorite restaurants because of not only the incredible, unique food, but Brian and Dan offer such a welcoming and loving environment to anyone that walks through the door! if you haven't been, you are missing out!
The food is amazing! Chef Dan has created a very eclectic menu with fresh fish dishes daily as well as an nice assortment of appetizers! The service is very friendly and the entire staff works hard to make you feel at home. I highly recommend you try Fiddleheads!
Great menu, great service.
Always a good meal. Wonderful atmosphere and attentive service. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation soon.
The vegetarian plate was fabulous - there were several vegetarian options. It was a great place for a nice family meal. I left very satisfied.
Always a good meal
Very Friendly staff and food is delicious
As always, wonderful food and service. Had the duck and loved it.
Great food great atmosphere
Good food great service.
Just an ok dinner
Cozy yummy friendly place.
Outstanding. Quiet, good service, good food, good atmosphere
The food was prepared quick as well, which was a plus as we were starving. I would be glad to eat here again!
We have been here several times. Each time we have ordered something different, and we have never be disappointed or unhappy we anything. The service had always been Outstanding. I can't wait to go back again, this had become one of our favorite places for dinner.
Lovely little place. One of the best priced BYOB places around! Good choice when you want really good food prepared with fresh ingredients in a nice "semi-fine" dining environment with fine service to boot. A++
Great menu. Excellent service. Superior food from appetizers to dessert. Very happy with the value as well.
Innovative and delectable.
A unique and delicious menu. Visits to the table by the owner Brian, and the chef make you feel special.
Outstanding!
Great food, great atmosphere, great people, great place!
Always good. Interesting menu. Small and cozy
Fiddleheads restaurant is one of the hidden gems of New Jersey. Besides the great food and warm environment, the staff is incredibly professional, starting with the manager, Brian, and the chef, Dan. Very good vegetarian options.
First time for my family but it will not be the last. Great food for a great price.
Hidden gem in Jamesburg! The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Five stars all the way!
Fiddleheads is a small yet cozy restaurant. They accommodated a group of seven for lunch without reservation. Several of us ordered the silver 'X' burger and we were all pleased. We also had a variety of desert and again there were no complaints. We did receive a tiny bit of attitude when we tried to split the check but other than that I would definitely return for a second visit.
Great food and service. First time there and looking forward to going back.
Fiddleheads is a great place for reliable, good quality, hunger satisfying eats. My partner had a burger and fries (and was very satisfied). I had a salad that was nice and fresh. The raspberry lemonade was pretty yummy, gave the experience a little whimsy. We will be back for more.
Me and my family went to Six Flags Great Adventure. We ended up staying there a little bit later than we should have. After getting back to the hotel I used Yelp to find a local restaurant that was open late. Found a Mexican Restaurant with 4 stars. We ended up heading to that place which was shut down. Not knowing what was around the area I yelped restaurants again and Fiddleheads came up 1 block away from where we were. Me and the family went in and noticed that they had to other family's in there but were finishing up. The owner greated us and asked if he could help (all 4 of us were exhausted and probably looked like squatters). We asked if they were open and he said yes, but were in the process of cleaning up for the night. We explained our situation and he was completely understanding. We sat down and couldn't have been more happy with our service. Everyone was so polite and courteous to us. The kids ordered shrimp but really didn't want it served the way it was on the menu and the kitchen accommodated them by cooking the shrimp a little different than usual. My wife ordered jumbalaya (ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS) and myself I ordered a BBQ Chicken dish. I would absolutely recommend Fiddleheads to locals and out of towners. Great staff, great owner, great food.
We enjoyed another fantastic meal at Fiddleheads tonight! The swordfish was cooked perfectly and was flavorful. The tomato bisque is a smokey delight and the steak had a delightful crisped outside and pink inside. Thank you for the outstanding service to Nick!
The food is creative and amazing. The service is excellent. Don't let the outside fool you, this is an excellent restaurant.
My dinner along with my companions was Steak Diane. It tasted fabulous and the meat was very soft.
Our dinner was fresh and delicious. Our server Nick was excellent. Knowledgeable and attentive.
Great unique food. Cozy excellant service. Reservations reccomended.
The name says it all. The fact the owners actually came up with this name and herald a fairly unknown product is the foundation for their success. Utilize the unusual. The fried elk steak and calamari style fiddleheads were to die for. Whether you want to try something different or standard, this restaurant has it all. Amazing food and great service at a unique establishment.
Everything about this place is great, from the fresh ingredients, to the inspired recipes, right down to the super friendly service. The menu is small, but delicious, with seasonal offerings to round it out. Feel free to bring a bottle of your favorite wine, and they will serve it to you as if you had bought the most expensive bottle on the wine list of an upscale restaurant. The restaurant is small, and very popular, so I suggest making a reservation.
Wow. Tonight I ordered Shrimp with bacon and peaches in a cream sauce over pasta from the specials menu. It may have become my favorite meal at Fiddleheads. That says a lot. I love everything they serve.
The food was great and the staff was friendly and personable!
Very good food!
Good food the best service I've seen in a long time.
Friendly. Get the jambalaya.
I've had much better, and it was so highly spoken, not worth the time and money. I've could of just went to Burger King and gotten the same service for much LESS!
Always great service and food. Gotta try the pecan cake!
Awesome bistro , food was delicious and the service was impeccable .
This place is the best! Amazing food, perfect service and unique atmosphere. The staff genuinely cares about your experience there. Definitely worth visiting!
Simply the best all around
Nice burgers
Would give lower stars but the staff and chef were so nice i couldnt give them anything worse than 4 stars. They have that going for them and i wish them the best and hope they take my criticism and improve on it. First, my water had a lot of dust and fibers in it because the empty glasses are placed upright until someone is served. Dust accumulates and settles in the glasses. I ordered their Chicken peanut stirfry. This dish lacked the depth you usually get with Asian cuisine. It was very one dimensional. 2 tablespoons of Oyster sauce and a tablspoon of soysauce instead of salt in the stirfry could have fixed this. The chicken was cubed, therefore it was extremely dry and hard. To fix this cut into thin 1x2" strips and marinate them in cornstarch w a teaspoon of baking soda. This will help tenderize and make the stirfry thicker. Vegetables were cooked well. Very nice staff and attentive. I ws greeted with a huge smile from the chef as i entered. On another note, please get a bigger fish tank or get rid of the fish. Tank is too small so water quality is bad. He has finrot and is suffering. He is an Oscar Cichlid.
Amazing dinner place. Very good service, the most friendly owners I have ever met. The food is delicious!
I've been dining at Fiddleheads for several years now and have never had a bad experience yet! The food is amazing, the staff is very accommodating, and the executive chef Dan comes over to the table every time we dine there to make sure that everything is prepared to perfection. I just love this place and highly recommended it. Additionally the co-owner Brian always greets us with a smile and manages to squeeze us in even if we've forgotten to make reservations. Try it, You'll love it!
Real nice meal.
Great place with a fresh take on American classics
I love this place. had a luncheon last week with 13 people. everything was great. service food top notch.
Good food, nice wait staff.
Still the best restaurant around.
Lovely small restaurant, great professional service but food somewhat disappointing. The 'Twisted Greek Salad' contained no Greek olives and very little Feta cheese. The grilled Portobello mushroom sandwich was also disappointing. The mushroom was overpowered by a strong grainy mustard and there were way too many onions. As well, the bread was unremarkable.
Great service and electic food
Wife and I had an amazing time here for New Year's Eve. Everything was so delicious and the staff was super friendly. Brian and his crew are on their game from the moment you step through the door to the moment you wave goodnight. We booked our next date night while paying the bill. That's how good it is! Had the steak medium rare and it was perfect. Tomato bisque awesome and the key lime pie was killer!
Excellent food and attentive service.
Great food, not the usual menu. Good service, a little pricey
Good but no longer extraordinary.
5 for the food. But, one of the plates was cracked and a saucer dirty. The staff is very good. We love the place!
My wife and I tried sunday brunch on our first visit, it was delicious. My steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The smoked potatoes were something I've not had anywhere else, and definitely will be on our 'must have' list on future visits. The service was extremely prompt and courteous and visits from Brian the owner and Chef Dan himself really highlighted our visit. We will definitely be going back!
Great food! Wonderful wait staff. BYOB is a plus! Excellent value for the price. Would definitely recommend.
It’s very rare that I find a restaurant that has incredible food along with the friendly environment that makes you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive - like you are always welcome and have been missed. Unfortunately, I don’t live too near to Fiddleheads, if I did I know I would be there every week for their amazing brunch. Seriously, make your way there and try it, you won’t regret it. I’ll be back as soon as I can!
My experience was amazing Waiters go above and beyond The food is excellent Defiantly returning Brian one of the owners very cordial Susan
Always a great meal and atmosphere.
Went with a gift card. Amazing food. We ordered 2 appetizers, 2 soups, 2 salads, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, 1 espresso. It is BYOB, but next time the drink options sound appealing enough to skip the wine! ONLY downfall was we did NOT have a cash tip. We could not use our giftcard towards tip. My husband had to go up the block to Chase to grab cash. The art on the wall also can only be purchased with cash or check bc it goes directly to the artist. We will definitely be going back. We would love to try brunch also. I feel the vibe is for adults, and the menu did not have children options. I am the mother of a 3 and 5 year old. I personally feel it is a special place for date nights! I would recommend calling to ask if there are any children options. There are plenty of vegeterian and gluten free options. I did not notice specific vegan options but again, calling to ask is always smart vs just going. Same goes for allergies. Definitely make a reservation as it was pretty busy for the 6:30pm seating. We changed our reservation 5 times due to schedule changes, and each time they were fine with it. It is business casual and I think nice jeans are appropriate. Music is quiet enough. Seat spacing is great. Service was OUTSTANDING from host to all staff in between. Very very well trained. It makes the experience very wonderful.
Love their shrimp salad croissant and perfect eggs Benedict
Cute place, very friendly staff. BYOB, but tons of choices for mixers including some fancy lemon aids. Food was good but not great, only had the steak and eggs but others at my table enjoyed their meals. Portions were good and the prices are reasonable.
I went with my grandparents and they said it was the best restaurant in the area. I thought that was a bit much. Food seemed over priced and the decor didn't seem to match what they were selling. It's worth a try, but I was not been awesome by any thing.
The food & service are outstanding! What a great place for a romantic lunch brunch or dinner! You can tell the owner, chef and staff have an eye for details!
Great BYOB spot for any occasion. Been coming here for years. Food is always fantastic. No one has ever had a bad thing to say about a single item. The lamb chops are highly recommended but honestly, you can pick anything at random and you won't be disappointed. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's small so make a reservation. There is a wine store down the street so grab a bottle, they don't sell alcohol but will gladly uncork whatever you bring in.
I come in often from Ohio to visit with my mom and this was the second time I been to Fiddleheads ..... First time I ordered a burger which was outstanding .... One of the best burgers ever and on my second visit I had salmon over salad also terrific. The food is outstanding and very fresh. Our servicer was also outstanding and very attentive. I did not have a reservation for lunch but it seemed as if it's something that is preferred by the owner and chef from the vibe received from their attitude and body language when I first walked into the establishment . The atmosphere was extremely inviting and again the food was excellent .
The food was prepared from not very fresh ingredients, and it was overcooked and over-spiced. The shrimp was rubbery, the salad leaves were wilted. We were very disappointed.
Great food, reasonable prices, memorably friendly and courteous staff!
Delicious food and drinks in an upscale atmosphere. Everything from the bread to the desserts was amazing! Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Great as always!!
The people here are incredible! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I really like this restaurant's food. I've only been there for lunch though and I only had a burger. probably the best burger I've ever had in my life it had bacon jelly and cheese... As well as many ingredients I don't remember. it was exceptional and I've heard the entire menu is exceptional. The only caveat, the reason for taking away two Stars, is very the smelly and dirty carpet they have in the dining room. It smells moldy and like a old locker room. God knows how many spills and messes have been cleaned up on that floor. The floor is what has prevented me from going back and trying other items on the menu. if you're reading this, owner of fiddleheads, please do something about that awful, awful dining room carpet. The food is great the carpet it's not. Definitely a local gem I recommend checking out and hopefully they will do something about that awful carpet.
Not sure how to rate this restaurant. Hospitality and service great. First plates fine. Comments heard at my table: risotto warm and sweet, add some raisins and you have rice pudding. Why is the duck so dry?Lastly my whole wheat lasagne....not for me. So I think 2 stars this time around.
Friendly and attentive staff, my favorite place to go. BYOB and try the burgers! Everything was great about it from start to finish.
Cozy,upscale cuisine.
Very good local restaurant with excellent, economical food. A clear winner.
I have enjoyed every meal I have eaten at Fiddleheads. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. The menu is full of classic dishes prepared well and unique dishes that always delight.
Met there for Sunday brunch. I can't express how accommodating the owner and staff were. Aside from excellent and delicious food, the service and hospitality were outstanding. I'll go there again when in the area.
The food is great. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I like the tomato bisque soup and the jambalaya diah they have. I also had a pasta dish once that was very good. BYOB
Lunch was delicious from start to finish. The empanada appetizer was interesting with a mix of bacon, spinach, feta & blueberries. The Sloppy Joe was unique and delicious. Make sure to try the blueberry lemonade! Our server, Alexa, was terrific, great customer service. We'll definitely be back to dine.
I have been a customer for 15 years. It is great for both casual dining and special occasions. The food and service is always consistent. I especially love the seasonal menu specials. My favorite is the pumpkin soup in the fall. Regulars and newbies are always welcomed with attentive service and good food. I highly recommend this restaurant!! Oh , one more thing ,always great music !
Perfection!!! Wonderful employees and out of this world food.
Very small place , cozy . Reasonable prices.. My food was good. the staff was very friendly ,good service. Definitely a good place for Brunch ... Highly recommended.
Wonderful experience! The food was fantastic and the service flawless . Would highly recommend Fiddleheads to anyone wanting to have a relaxing night in a cozy atmosphere! Will definitely visit again.
Always good food.
What a nice restaurant. The staff was very friendly, the service outstanding and the food is excellent. So anxious to go back.
Food was burnt, only two servers and not a wide selection of food. Overall bad experience and not recommended
WHAT A GREAT DINING EXPERIENCE! The tortellini was great! Plus a really warm and welcoming staff all around!
Great brunch! Love their sweet bread basket as a starter. My favorite is Smoke Salmon Benedict. Burgers are great, too. Attentive and friendly service.
This place was really good!.
Just had a wonderful breakfast at Fiddleheads. I was in the mood for a Bloody Mary. They serve a pretty good Virgin Mary so I bought my own vodka. We started off with the Mom's Sweet-Bread Sampler. A slice each of Mom's delightful pumpkin, zucchini, and banana nut breads. They came with maple butter and strawberry compote. Very good. For breakfast I had The Eggs Benedict. Poached eggs with canadian bacon on a toasted English muffin, topped with light lemon butter tarragon sauce and served with Smoky Roast potatoes. Excellent!!! My wife had The Brooklyn Scramble. Cream cheese, red onion, and smoked salmon. I tasted it and it was excellent as well. Coffee was ok. Not overly impressed. The service, decor, and whole dining experience was excellent. The price was reasonable. I will definately be back. I look forward to going for dinner.
Went here to try something new. Really enjoyed and with real vegetarian choices. Will go back.
I love this place! Innovative and seasonal menu items are always great. The owners are super friendly and staff is attentive.
We went here for a belated Valentines Day and it was wonderful. Service and food were great. Would absolutely recommend for a great BYOB for a couple or small group. The restaurant isn’t that big.
Outstanding all around! Staff was so kind and warm, space is cozy and inviting, and the menu is so creative! I had the heavenly scrambled eggs, and if you're a cream cheese lover this is a dish you'll definitely enjoy. My other party members had variations of the eggs benedict which were all phenomenal. I wish I could poach my eggs that well!!
This is a wonderful restaurant. Great family atmosphere and great food. Outstanding service.
It was a marvelous lunch with an attentive staff. Plus, hot mulled cider for dessert!
Chef really seems to enjoy coming up with the specials. Good food at a reasonable price.
This place is not what it looks like from the outside. Great service from everyone. I'm not one to send back my food but I was not 100% happy with my dish. Hard rice and a bad cut of tuna. Everyone else loved their food and we had a great time. I'm not going to kill the review because I loved the atmosphere, people and service. I plan to go back and I will update this review. Any one would love this place.
Great food, comfortable atmosphere, friendly service.
