This Restaurant belongs to the category of Korean barbecue restaurant.
Still in good taste and business.
The foods are fresh and reasonable. Recommend their bbq.
First time at this Korean restaurant, heard it has been here for more than 25 years. Should had been here before trying others. Really enjoyed eating here.
Fantastic find. I went with 5 friends for a celebration. There was no wait and the food came out amazing. I would highly recommend the bulgogi and the stir fried octopus. They only lost a point for ventilation. The room gets pretty smoky
good meats, tasty seafood pancake, excellent service. have been coming for decades
good quality and service
food is good but over-priced. service was ok but i expected more from them. it was hard to get the hang of sever. it seemed short-staffed wish they had a bell
Big place, good parking, good food!
Best Korean BBQ in tri-state area. Worth the price with all the awesome side dishes. All other BBQ places only give you chopped onions and scallions as "side dishes."
Very good Korean barbecue! Always great service! Great deals for lunch. I have tried many things in the menu and always very good.
A nice family friendly spot for Korean BBQ! Have been coming for years and will continue to return.
not my favorite Korean BBQ place, but pretty good food.
I’ve never actually eaten here but jeez..... The name of this place. 5 stars for that comedy.
Excellent Korean table barbecue!
Dong Bang = Mario Luigi Dong Bang = Marco Polo Hey dong where’s bang Oww What happened My dong bang
Korean style BBQ always came out good. Last night dinner was one of the best. Really enjoyed BBQ. Chinese has a similar type of dishes however I prefer Korean way of meat preparing method.
In Korean, Dong means East. And, Bang means BANG! that flavor is so good in your mouth! I recommend the beef BBQ, but try the shrimp too. The staff is attentive and friendly. I recommend Dong Bang Grill.
Best Korean BBQ I have taste!
Sunny was amazing. She helped us enjoy a fantastic meal. I look forward to returning
tasty and reliable Korean bbq. fast service.
The Yukgaejang (육개장)soup was terrible. The soup had too much msg and didn't have much ingredients.
Restaurant upstarts, no elevator, not good for elderly or handicaps
Variety of delicious food in a fun and lively environment. No one will go hungry as there are plenty of choices for adventurous and more traditional eaters.
Very busy restaurant, and need more waiters. The food is good and tasty with more than 10 small complimentary appetizers.
Amazing food. Long line though. If you come earlier the shorter the line. Around 9:15 there's no line. Later there's a line out the door. Amazing food. Not expensive under 10 dollars. Amazing staff. They are so nice. The food comes out fast and hot. They always have time to answer your questions
Very good quality cuts and non bbq items are also done very well.
Love it
Was looking for something different and while looking through DiningOut Magazine came across this excellent Korean BBQ place in Fort Lee. It was lots of fun. The food is cooked right at your table, plus they had sushi and beer too. I would highly recommend Dong Bang Grill.
Good marinated Galbi. Would definitely return the next time I visit east coast.
I can't even explain how much I love this place. Best Korean BBQ in NYC area.
Friendly place, very nice selection of food. Also very delicious!!! The price is right since you get what you pay for; which is quality!
This has turned into an area favorite. Fresh, delicious, authentic Korean, blazing fast service
Nice food and service.
Fresh bbq with friendly staffs
Always packed with Korean as well as Westerners. I see more Westerners than Koreans lately. BBQ dishes are one of the best around this neighborhood.
Delicious foods with nice services and valet parking
Love the service and food, though little pricey
I tried cold noodle. It was one of best cold noodles I ever tried in. NJ
Food quality always good. Pleasant atmosphere
Authentic Korean food, fast and attentive wait staff. Consistently leave with contentment.
Excellent Korean dishes and many ethnic customers come.
Delicious and the staff helpful and considerate. My sister is vegetarian and they accommodated her requests. The only thing I will say is found it a little over priced.
Great food and service but wasn't spectacular. Been here many times over the years and been to many other Korean BBQ places and it was consistent yet didn't stand out. The side dishes were tasty and the beef and pork cuts were plenty. Can't go wrong. You know what to expect.
Quite pricey and food is mediocre. If you want good meat, go to Kang Ho Dong.
Perfect place to take non Korean people to show what Korean BBQ is like. Clean and bustling atmosphere is another point to add.
Great service, good pork belly, our server was really great and explaining the smaller plates we were pointing to with questions.
Had a really nice lunch here with co-workers. There were 7 of us and our food came out very quickly and our waitress was very attentive. The banchan was good and they gave us pumpkin porridge in the beginning and plain porridge and rice punch in the end after we were stuffed.
A tasty meal and well staffed restaurant but when they post it as an expensive menu I didn't realize it was based on meat portions which to my chagrin were smaller than the standard side dishes usually served with authentic Korean fare. I liked the flavor of our meats (perfectly marinated) but a McDonald's burger holds more weight than this 40$ short rib sliced as small as possible Enjoyable but I'm not returning though it was very busy on the evening we visited. And, one other thing I felt we were pushed to leave as soon as our grilled meat was finished highly unflattering another reason not to return
Server was not very attentive and made me feel like i had to be Korean to dine there... however, the host was very welcoming and pleasant
Best in Bergen county!
First time here with family, very glad we came. Very reasonable portions, fairly priced and good service.
Considering price, seems normal service & taste
Really enjoyed the food and the price wasn't bad.
Like this place. Foods are great bit expensive but it is worth it because they give you excellent quality of banchan such as dong geu rang ttang, bigi, and mool kimchi
Disgusting and expensive
Great Korean BBQ.. great service!!
I was not happy when I have a dinner with my family last week. The serving waitress did not want to do what customer requested but she did what she wanted to do. Furthermore, Galbee portion are so small and expensive with normal taste as most Korean restaurant in US could provide. No way to spend much!! You'd better go to another Korean or nice American restaurant.
Amazing
Shirley and the gang made me, a GF/DF dietary PITA, and all my family's dietary needs an amazing family dinner last night. Kimchi and snacks were delightful... They even dropped some GF snack creations like kimchi radish with no soy. Octopus Gopdol was amazing... It was all amazing.
I think this place has great potential. The issue is, for the price, they could probably invest in New grills, or maybe even scrub them down a bit. I don't like the flavor of the grill, I want to taste meat... Not grill... The alcohol was delicious, the staff are very attentive, the place is a bit crowded but it doesn't feel over bearing. I'd recommend somewhere else if a friend asked.
The food was great but the waitress seemed like she didn't want to deal with our table and she was not very helpful answering our questions. Also when we tipped she started counting the cash in front of us which I found rude and just bad etiquette on her part.
Excellent for Korean BBQ. Always get the kalbi (marinated short rib) here and it is always fantastic.
Cozy place, delicious side dishes and professional waitresses. Valet Parking service.
This place is great, very family oriented with an excellent variety of dishes for all the taste and desires, the food is awesome and their cook show is priceless. This place is a New Jersey Korean Japanese Gem. Highly recommended.
a bit expensive but great food quality. love the pork with fermented kimch, beef bbq and bulgogi. meal is also good
the best korean and japanes restarant in town. the price is great, the waiters know me ( i eat there a lot, like every weekend), they never abandoned our meat. 5/5 very good!!!! you should go there
I believe they have the best marinated kalbi around.
Food is great and service is good.
One of the best among the Korean restaurants in the region. I have been eating Korean food all my life so I know which one is good and bad. I tried all most all of the Korean restaursnts in the reigion but this one is probably the best.
The food is good and the side dishes are plenty in choices, I like the raw crab... :D It's definitely on the expensive side but worth going once a blue moon or if you have guests around the area. Average price per person would be about $35-50.
Good but not good enough for the price you pay
Authentic Korean barbeque in Fort Lee. Good place for friends
Delicious. KOREAN dishes
Great food, excellent service. A+++++
Top notch for Korean BBQ. Valet parking a plus in a tricky area. And the service was impeccable.
Korean BBQ yummy
Used to have some of the best marinated steaks in Fort Lee. the past 4 times I have been here the the non marinated has been better. The marinated seems to be lacking in quality and marinade flavor. Looking forward to trying Dong Bang Grill in about 3 months.
Excellent food, good quality, and great service!
I LOVE KOREAN BBQ. However, they cook the meat for you here which is ok, the food was still good. There is definitely a wait for this place at peek times and the waiting lobby is tiny. A touch on the expensive side but worth it. Definitely check it out.
Delicious
One of the top quality Korean BBQ restaurant around North Jersey
It's taste is really traditional Korean authentic one. Others are could'nt make original taste very well.
Very large portions of food. And food taste is good.
Decent, authentic Korean bbq/kalbi!
Good place to have korean food
Pricey for the amount of meat offered
Good food and really quick service.
As always, great food great service and great professionalism by the servers.
Food was good, was it exceptional? No. It's really good food, just not worth paying for as much as I paid for it. I've never eaten at a korean restaurant with prices like that, that wasn't a specialty restaurant. Service was amazing, and the restaraunt was packed with good reason. It's a comfortable, friendly atmosphere, not a casual one, but also not an upscale one. The only bad experience you'll have here is when you get the check.
Nice food and taste
Excellent Korean cuisine. Great staff.....great food.....comfortable seating. Loved the Nakji Bokum! Highly recommended.....
Best Korean food west of the Hudson.
Amazing food, fun atmosphere!
Loud place. Quality was fair but cost too much. Side dishes were decent, nothing outstanding. For a Korean bbq places, I feel there are better values and quality out there even in NJ. Meat was fatty and I don't mean well marbled. Service was okay but like most korean restaurants, service is usually a lacking point.
Excellent food and attention detail.
Small portions, impressive quality, big price, good service - Korean barbecue. I would give 4 stars for quality and service but the value was so bad that it brought the review down a notch.
Good Food but overly priced and small portion expecially pork bbq that we ordered.
Our group came on a busy dinner rush and had no reservations but was still seated within reasonable wait time. We always enjoy having Korean barbecue and service is fast.
Food is decent but not spectacular. A bit pricey, noisy, and hectic when busy. Service is not bad either but rushed. Underground valet parking available, but plenty of street parking close by if you want to save a few bucks (after 6pm, street meters are free).
NO ELEVATOR. It’s on the second floor so expect to climb a flight of stairs. I was worried my grandma couldn’t do it but she was able to. The food was really great and they were so helpful!
Sirloin is the best of all meat but i almost feel like their sushi is better than the meat? But its called dongbang grill...o.O
Great place for a party. The food is quite pricey though. They have vast amount of food list you can choose from. Clean and friendly staff. I would visit again on special occasions only.
Great portion sizes and great prices!
Fresh tasty food, exceptional service.
Nice experience. Usually enjoy the ethnic taste and try to find varieties. I think I found one for the lists. The food was nice.
First, the prices in the menu you see here in online are so old. You have to add $8 to each item. So their BBQ menu is very pricy, especially when you compare that to both quality and quantity. Second, I went there last night. So as of last night, quality of the side dishes is 8 out of 10 and of the BBQ (marinated galbi) is 6 out of 10. My kids ate the meat so little. The marinated sauce was too sweet and the quality of the meat was bad, way too much fat. I am Korean so I know about Korean BBQ. I gave them 5 chances but, I now know for sure that last night was our last visit there.
Tasty. Nice environment. Friendly staff.
Not bad, but overpriced. Not worth it if not for the variety of Banchan (free side dishes).
Great tasting food. Helpful staff especially Cynthia. I would go again.
Great food, good prices, and excellent service
My friends and I USED to enjoy dongbang. Tonite, will be our LAST visit. I wish I hadn’t seen it but I did... we did... cockroach... COCKROACH!!! I haven’t seen a cockroach in decades... sigh... no eating out for awhile... I wish I saw it before the meal not after... feeling pretty disgusted -_-
The food is absolutely delicious the service was excellent our Waitress was named Lee she was excellent she kept our dishes filled We didn’t have to ask for a thing. It’s a little pricey but you get what you pay for would highly recommend
Delicious Korean BBQ! Usually no waiting with great meat selection. I highly suggest the spicy beef with vermicelli. The marinated shirt rib is your best bet, the prime is very good, and the spicy chicken is a good third... All the meals come with a ton of sides and create a fun experience. Only issue: your clothing will smell once you leave as there is a ton of barbecuing happening at once.
Great food. Good service. Family environment and plenty of staff.
tasty buy pricey..
Great Korean BBQ!
Really bad food. Bathrooms are gross.
very good food, nice service. i always enjoy the barbeque and the soups they serve here. great place to bring family or friends!
Very good food.
This is my favorite Korean restaurant in the area, where there is no shortage of Korean establishments. I am consistently happy with the quality of the galbi, freshness of the numerous side dishes, and the attentiveness of the serving staff. Highly recommended.
Parking isfirst floor and the restaurant is second floor... Food was pretty goodespecially side dishes wasvery good..
Hell yeah!!! Real Korean food. Fantastic. Love the mood and the service. You have to try it.
Everyone in the restaurant seems to be having a great time. Table loaded with banchan. Excellent service. Delicious everything.
Service is great and food is delicious! Drinks are very good too
Service is much improved than years ago!
Top quality meat and an amazing variety of options. Very expensive for Korean BBQ but definitely worth the value. Service can be spotty during busier moments and can seem rushed during peak hours. As a result, your personal experience with this place might vary. There are definitely better KBBQ places for quality to value worth to visit but this is where to pursue for absolute qualit.
The food was delicious and high quality. There was more than enough variety in the small plate sampler for everyone to pick favorites and share items based on dietary needs and flavor preferences: spicy, mild, raw, pickled, sweet, egg. Service was super quick but a bit cold. The prices seemed a bit steep.
Amazing quality. A little pricey but well worth it! Never had a bad plate here!
Wonderful meal, great service!
The food is mediocre (plenty of better alternatives in the Fort Lee area) and the prices are quite high. I would be cautious ordering here, although it is quite convenient if you need a place to eat at 3 in the morning (since it is open 24 hours).
If you want great Korean food, this is the place to go. And there is no shortage of it. If you leave here not stuffed to the gills, you've done something wrong. The staff is fantastic and will make sure you have everything you want.
My favorite KBBQ place in town! The meat, stews (intestine stew is my favorite) and side dishes are all great. I keep coming back and will go more.
very good ! but a little salty
Best bbq in the state
Good
great food but pricey
The food was great, especially being my first Korean BBQ experience. But, this place is very expensive though. With tip, our bill came out to $91 for two people. This was only one appetizer and two entrees. I have been to some places in NYC for less!
Great food just pricy.
The kimchi is good! No sushi...
It's a really great place for Korean BBQ. The meat is top quality. But I would've go with the sushi or anything otherwise than meat. The rest is pretty mediocre
i don't want this place to be more crowded than already is but this is the best all around korean restaurant in America. quality ingredients, authentic flavors, consistent delivery and fantastic servers.
Good galbi BBQ. Specially the marinated one
Nice place, effecient service. The best Galbi in the area
I ordered a decent amount of meat to feed 4 individuals... on a business meeting for a real estate investor... and my goodness I couldn't be more ashamed to be Korean... the investor looked at the marbling of the galbi and said that it was nothing but fat.. no meat involved there.. the banchan was lukewarm so we had to have it warmed again.. the meat was so thinly sliced you could calculate their profit margins to be 600% of what their overhead costs were... and the total bill came to $250 for a meal that left us hungry and sinking into despair... do yourself a favor and head to Mr BBQ where the check will be the same but you will have unlimited meat to enjoy.
Good quality of Korean food. Price is pretty much high though
Good Korean restaurant. Service good.
I liked it a lot. But it may have been because my boss was paying... Anyhow, the service was great. They constantly refilled empty banchans and we got two stews for free for the five of us.
Fantastic Korean barbecue food. Great variety of side dishes. Barbecued items with good flavour
Great food. If you like spicy food this is your place.
great food
This place is very consistent. You know what you get will always be great. It does not have off days like most of the Korean restaurants in Bergen County.
I love this restaurant!!!
The gods..
All kinds of Korean food available with authentic atmosphere. But 삼겹살 was too expensive for pork.. $31 per one portion.
First time here for the Korean BBQ. The spicy tofu soup was good. The galbi and BBQ was sub par. The galbi was super chewy and had a ton of fat. The quantity for the BBQ was small and the price is almost double of other Korean restaurants. I'll be going to my other regular restuarants for Korean food.
Bar b q at it best
I had decent meal here. Very enjoyable place.
Great spot for dinner. The restaurant has valet parking and can easily accommodate parties of 6 or more. Price is on the higher side but the quality is there.
