Like most Korean restaurants, they gave you a bunch of small kimchi dishes (complementary) to start. But I didn't touch two of the plates (out of 6): pickled eggplant (I don't like eggplant) and salad greens. I ordered the lunch special, Beef Short Ribs on a hot iron plate. It also came with a small bowl of Soft Tofu Seafood Stew. Both were tasty. And for $12.95, it was a great value! Definitely will be back again.

Galbi is not as good as it used to be, its low quality and its portion has decreased. Sajungmien was horriable the worst I've ever had but other dishes were standard. Service was also standard. Sometimes they dont have the ac on and it was hard to eat with barbeque going on with no ac.

The food is ok here but the service is below average. We ordered set menu for the bbq. They had three different types of set menu and they wanted us to order the largest which we couldn’t finish at the end. I don’t know if they prefer not to speak English but they kept speaking in Korean, and being the only Korean among us, it became really awkward as I had to be a translator between us and them. When I asked for bowls to share the stew and for refills of side dishes like lettuce, they didn’t seem very happy and kept complaining in Korean. I also feel the style of their food is outdated. It’s more like the style I had as a child in the 90’s. I know I have to bear with it since it’s NJ and not NYC or Korea, but still I feel they can do better.

1 star for friendly management. -4 stars for unbelievably messy food that is tasteless and contaminated. I've never seen a business clean out food areas with filthy disgusting rags, flicking dried, old, possibly moldy bits of food in literally every direction WHILE they were preparing my food. I was going to walk right out but figured I couldn't leave an accurate review without at least eating this, slop. first server spoke very u clearly and raised his voice slightly in an unpleasant way when he realized I wasn't able to answer him because I could barely understand. the server next to him took out a heating tray with all the food in it and proceeded to wipe the surfaces shooting bits of dried old food EVERYWHERE. I definitely saw some crumbs or food bits fly into my food. I could have asked for him to make another, I could have walked right out, but now I know what kind of place this is. A pig sty. IF I WANTED TACO BELL I WOULD HAVE GONE THERE. will NEVER visit this Moes location ever again, and probably never go to a Moes again anywhere else based on this event.

This was my second time at the restaurant and the quality seems to be consistently high. The waitress was friendly and patient. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was just so-so, but still very appropriate for a casual meal. All said, I highly recommend checking them out.

the owner gets angry if you do not bbq. after waiting 40 min to get our food. most of the hot food we ordered came out cold. the owner/management loudly talks badly about the customers in Korean. it looks like if you grill meat on your table, they'll treat you right. if not, find elsewhere to eat.

Recently discovered this place and I'm a fan. The food is incredible. Beats out the other Korean barbeque places I've been. The service is amazing and the people that work there are kind. It is BYOB so you can save on drinks. The japchae is sooo good you guys. The meats are delicious and fresh. They will cook it for you at the table. Don't have a single complaint. Don't expect to get anything cheap though, this place has high quality food that is worth the price tag. Recommend going with at least a group of 3 or more.

I took my grandparents out to lunch and we loved the place. Its very spacious but very simple decoration. I would of probably recommend to have a little bit more of a decor. To get a table right away without waiting which is a plus. The food was very good and we enjoyed everything we ordered. I would come back for lunch again.

Food is very good. They don't put a lot of seasoning or spices. I'm used to Korean food with a lot of seasoning/sauce and sometimes being slightly or fairly spicy. I didn't think it had a lot of seasoning but a white friend said his had the perfect amount of seasoning and flavor. They give lots of appetizers and side dishes and they're very good.

This place makes my heart warm ❤️ As a Korean who is away from home, CSB gives me all the flavors of my childhood. It's not the best Korean restaurant I've ever been to but it's definitely one of the best in the area. It's a little pricey but most places are and you'll be getting your money's worth with all the extra side dishes and nostalgia.

I recently went to Chung Sol Bat and I was amazed at the quality of the food. We ordered the Set Menu A ($74.99), and it was excellent. The Korean BBQ beef was extremely tender as well as spicy beef dish. Even though the price seems high, it will fill up two to three people, and you certainly get what you pay for. I would highly recommend you stop by your next drive by Edison, NJ!

They make the closest i food to what i had in Korea. I love the spicy pork. The mandoo is great. If you are not familiar with Korean food, there are a bunch of small side dishes that they bring you while your meal is cooked. They are all usually amazing. Shhhh don't tell anyone but the refils on them are free. My family loves this place. You have to check it out.

Four of my friends and I came here and ordered the Set B BBQ option, giving you enough meat to feed everyone, a wide assortment of banchan, as well as steamed egg bowls. We grabbed the galbi, scallion seafood pancake, spicy pork, soybean paste soup, and pork belly. The galbi and pork belly were cooked at the table, while the pork comes on a hot stone plate. Great service, and decent quality food.

I've eaten here many times, and it's never disappointing! Chung Sol Bat has solid Korean food. They have great jigaes and excellent service. I do regular dining instead of BBQ more often but have had BBQ a few times too. Their budae jigae is good as previously mentioned but sometimes it is a little heavy and hard to finish all the meat.

This place has great food and comes with a lot of free side dishes if you are getting bbq. For first timers the menu might be a bit overwhelming as there is A LOT offered. Wouldn't recommend going with a large group, nothing more than 6 probably, as tables are small and the space in the restaurant itself is limited.

Chung Sol Bat was a great dining experience. We were greeted right as we walked in and seated promptly. We ordered the kalbi and the galbi (beef and pork). We were given the banchon (small side dishes to go with the BBQ meats) very promptly as well as hot tea. The meat came out quickly and the hot coals followed very quickly as well. The waitresses cook and cut the meat for you so you do not have to cook it yourself. It can be awkward since there is someone right there next to you as you are trying to have conversation but as soon as it's all cooked you can dine more privately haha. I think this is a nice style if you aren't used to cooking the meat yourself. For me, I tend to like to cook it on my own but it was nice being served this time around. The banchon was so good! There was a sweet squash that tasted like pumpkin, kimchi, steamed egg, veggies, and more! And of course it's unlimited so you just need to ask if you want more. I definitely recommend this restaurant for Korean food. It was delicious! As for any Korean restaurant, expect to pay good money for the quality of marinated meats. This is pretty standard. You also need to place two orders of BBQ entrees if you want to do the BBQ, this is pretty normal amongst Korean BBQ places. For my fiance and I our bill came out to be about $50 but we had our fill! Since my first visit I'd like to say we've become regulars and have visited every couple weeks. We really enjoy the banchan and the bbq here!

The place was clean, the service was very good, the staff was quite friendly and the food was good. We did not leave hungry and it did not break the bank. We had barbecue at the table which consisted of marinated beef short ribs and marinated chicken. Both were quite delicious. The meal also comes with various little dishes they call Banchan as well as rice. We had plenty of good food for the two of us and the entertainment value of grilling at the table for a little over $50 so I consider that a good deal. All in all a nice dining experience.

This is one of my favorite Korean place in NJ. It's super delicious. I give 3 stars because of the service. Last time, I took my husband family who eats small and had never tried Korean BBQ. We order a set menu (to see the right portion) and shared. One lady kept asking us to order more (it was more likely forcing us to order more) and when we said no (returned the menu), she stated ignoring us and started cleaning up our table. The entire moment was awkward. The food was great. We all loved it but at the end, we really wanted to leave the restaurant.

Pretty good food. Service is very friendly. Felt a little rushed but they were attentive, at least! Side dishes were tasty and there was a good amount. I enjoy the variety of side dishes when I go to Korean restaurants. Ordered an appetizer of Mandu - dumplings - and they were DELICIOUS. I’m not even sure what was in it but they were some of the best fried dumplings I’ve had in a long time. There was definitely rice noodles in there and maybe leek? Not certain but I recommend without a doubt. I got their dob-sol bibimbap. Beef, vegetables, egg, and rice in a hot stone bowl. The rice wasn’t as crispy as I like but it was still very tasty.

It was only OK altogether. I am comparing to those Korean places I visited previously. Grill/barbeque variety of side dishes was not that great. The meat had very little flavor. When I asked for a few more napkins they brought us exactly one extra napkin. It could also be easier if they spoke better English. Overall it was just OK. I believe in tipping so they got 15% from me but I am simply not going there again.

Don't be fooled by the understated strip mall setting, you will enjoy authentic Korean BBQ grilled right at you're table. Pleasant, helpful wait staff are literally at you're service, placing just fired meat on your plate, even instructing clumsy first-timers on how to best enjoy the many condiments that are included with the grill menu.
