I went to Cellar 335 for my birthday celebration with friends and had a great time! The customer service, food, drinks, and decor were excellent. We had reservations and some of my party was late, but the staff was polite and accommodating. Every single item we ordered was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it and will be returning. It is very busy, so your best bet is to make reservations ahead of time.

Fun place to come and grab a bite. Plates are shareable and I particularly loved the shrimp and garlic. Firendly staff too. Like in the name it's abcellar so don't expect to have service. Put your phone away and enjoy your company.

Great food and ambience, but the servers and service is lacking. The servers seemed so unhappy and were uninviting. There was way too many people working to be this miserable. Our server didn't greet the table, didn't know if we got all of our food, and barely checked in. We got water after our drinks came, and the different server pouring the water was miserable. The food came out piecemeal and slow. Another diner sitting nearby asked one of servers (might have been a buser) what could he recommend from the menu and he replies with a shrug and "I don't know!" Our table wanted to split the check but an extra drink needed to be charged to one card; it was difficult. We were able to see the kitchen from where we sat and I noticed a server was twerking or something in the kitchen with his leg hoisted on a countertop. I'm not sure if I would go back. It was a bit uncomfortable but the food save the day. Takeout maybe?!

This place has an amazing vibe! Make sure you have a reservation! The garlic shrimps, corn bread, Brussels sprouts, chicken drunken noodles were just awesome! The drinks are marvelous! Loved my “smoldering bastard” drink- a fruity choice! My friend ordered “in the navy” drink that can be shared by 4 easily. Definitely try it, but it’s strong! Good for groups and birthdays! Love it !

When we requested for a separate table they rudely said that it's reserved but there was no one there till the end of the night. Good food though

The food and ambience is great. Loved that they have a wide choice of small plates so you can try a variety of stuff. The Korean style wings and spicy cornbread were especially yum!

The bar and the bartender were great. 5 stars. The food 4 stars with the wings being exceptional. The hostesses unfortunately had no idea what they were doing and completely clueless. 45 minutes after our reservation we finally decided not to sit at a table and just eat at the bar.

Delicious! My husband and I split the skirt steak and beef noodles, and corn bread, all delicious. Very nice staff too, and service was quick. We’ve been there for drinks before too, when they sometimes have a DJ. Highly recommended.

Always wanted to give this place a try, so I took my fiance out to dinner for fathers day. Our server was sweet . But honestly, I didnt have the best experience . They had the smallest menu known to man , and it was only shareable plates . But each plate we ordered seemed for only one person. Chicken was amazing. ribs were nasty. Pricey things and doesnt really fill you . Ordered the shareable punch which was $40 (because that's what the waiter suggested)- it taste like juice and was filled with ICE GALORE. So basically was ripped off. I am disappointed with our experience, because I thought for sure we wouldve loved it. Bill came to $130 before tip , and I didnt feel it was worth it . But the staff is so sweet and it was a good vybe .

This place sucks. Overpriced garbage. First off, they sell you $11 bottles of refillable sparkling water which is actually club soda from their bar gun. Then they only offer you appetizers for entree prices. I went to celebrate my birthday there and we had our own cake and they charged us $4 per person for a “cake cutting fee”. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN SO INSULTED. someone please tell me what a cake cutting fee is because my mind is boggled. They charged me a fee to cut my own damn cake! If I wasn’t with guests someone would’ve heard my mouth. In conclusion, don’t ever go here for dinner, if you want an over priced drink in a pretentious dark little place, have fun!

Very creative cocktails with glasses to match shaped as pineapple, parrot etc. Food is asian fusion which is the theme here asian Hawaiian fusion. Cocktails range $11 to $15. They have a decent sized dining room. The decor is nice but the whole place is in a basement with no windows.

Never disappoints! My crowd always loves the wings best. We're also into the bao, tropical salad, drunken noodles, cornbread--ok, we've never had a dish we disliked here. Everything is easy to share, and there's a good mix for vegetarians and carnivores. Good service, funky atmosphere, all good stuff.

Atmosphere: I loved the ambiance. A nice and cozy place. You can take your date here ;) We found parking because it was a weekday. There are not many parking spots around. Food & Drinks: They have good drinks. A nice tiki bar experience. About the food, we ate the avocado fried rice and crab pizza. The avocado fried rice was yummy. The crab pizza was very oily and greasy.

The fried wings are crispy yet not very dry, I recommend the spicy flavor. I also liked the fried rice with avacodo, and mussels are good too. And definitely get the short ribs, very soft with good flavors. The cocktails have very cool mugs.

Perfect for date night because it’s cozy and dimmer lighting. Asian tapas are delish! If you’re not into spicy food be careful because the spices are silent but there. The drinks are off the charts, you get them in cute fish or decorative cup that matches the actual drink. Went there for Xmas gathering with my girlfriends and we had a nice booth in the back very spacious and still felt private. Don’t get confused with the white Eagle hall next door, the cellar is downstairs because ya know it’s a cellar. Lol Overall dope and very original.

Really cool place. Recommend making reservations beforehand. The decor is a mix of Polynesian, Moroccan and Asian and they play reggae and other chill music at a decent volume. The wings were delicious and the charred edemame was sauteed with shallot, lime salt and soy which was amazing. The skirt steak was tender and flavorful! As far as the cocktails, the creativity and presentation was on point, along with the different concoctions they offer. We will definitely be returning!

I went here for a girls night out a few weeks ago to celebrate my sister's new job. There were about 5 of us girls and we wanted to go someplace trendy that served food and had good drinks. The food was good but the drinks were delicious. They make a ton of different drinks that I have never even heard of and we all had a great time. Its a great place to go with your friends to have a few drinks and grab something small to eat. If you can't find a drink that you like from this place- then i don't know what to tell ya!

Surprised I lived in JC for a year and also went to White Eagle Hall without checking this spot out. Everyone here is so friendly and accommodating. Dan is the man. Really cool drinks both when you're drinking them as well as when they're being made! A little pricey, but totally worth it.

i've been here multiple times ! great place and great food. it is on the higher price range! the large format drinks are worth it for sharing ! however, the last time i was there i was a little disappointed we order the big kauana (100$) drink to share with 5 people and they claimed they didnt have the ingredients to make it

Great place. Ee started w/ handcrafted drinks Fugo Faceoff and Michoacan Swizzle tropical and delicious. We first shared the charred edamame, the flavors of the soy sauce, lime and salt were beyond anything I could have imagined. Then we had shrimp cake boadown and Korean style ribs. They were both filled with flavors that danced in my mouth. Cellar fries were just ok. Over all delicious food and fun place to go. Waiter was amazing! I mean really tried to please. I would definitely go back.

Really good bar and restaurant, and reasonably priced. Cocktails are generally quite good, and if you can't find what you're looking for, bartenders are also good at making you a bespoke cocktail. Also the food is excellent--maybe even better than the drinks. Don't be dissuaded by the kitschy-seeming tiki bar decor, this place is a gem.

Nice spot! Lots of lights, which I loved. I’d have to say the best thing about this place is the drinks. The portions given to share are not shareable, It’s really only enough for one, which is how tapas are done but it’s usually much better food not potatoes & wings. As a matter of fact how do you serve wings, potatoes, rice etc. as tapas? Tapas are small Spanish savory dishes not wings, rice & potatoes with the price of Spanish Savory Dishes. The prices for the food are way too high! I was planning on going back with all the girls one night just for drinks but when the waiter asked us to please leave the table because there was a reservation at 10:15 (it was 10:26) for that table (lots of other tables around that were empty) I found it very rude as I had not even finished my drink (we already paid our bill) and was not ready to leave. I can honestly say that I’ve been to many many restaurants much classier than this place, I’ve always taken my time eating, drinking talking & was NEVER asked to leave. I will not be going back with the girls, that’s for sure!

The food and drinks were very enjoyable, but my real review is for Sean. Our waiter was fairly nice, but not nearly as attentive and friendly as Sean. He took notice when we had been sitting for quite some time without the dishes we ordered and realized there had been a problem with the computer system. He worked quickly to resolve this issue and accommodate us. A mishap that could have changed our dining experience and my review of the place was saved by the professionalism and courtesy that Sean showed us.

We were actually there in a winter month, and they happened to be serving Frozen Hot Chocolate. This Christmas in Paradise vibe was evident by the rich slushie arriving in a Santa Claus mug, topped with whipped cream, and garnished with a candy cane. I typically try to stay away from dairy, but the drink was actually made with coconut milk, allowing me to indulge. It was also spiked with Puerto Rican rum and provided a real booziness that hit me after two rounds.

Incredible cocktails & amazing food. Cellar 335 is as close to Polynesia as you can get in the city. As you step into the cellar, the tropical decor offset with an industrial flare transports you to an oasis in a south Pacific port. Weary traveler that you are, you order libation, seeking refreshment. What is served to you is not a drink. It is the tiki cocktail, elevated to it's highest form. The decoration and presentation of each drink is unique and complete to the finest detail. It is a work of art before the first sip. You might be tempted not to drink and destroy this beauty but what a waste that would be. Fresh fruit juices and the finest liquors both delight & refresh. The only disappointment this beverage could possibly contain is the bottom of the glass, when your sweet vacation ends.

Five stars all around! I've been trying to dine at Cellar 335 since forever and on a Friday afternoon, I was finally able to. That alone should tell you that this place is usually packed for dinner. Upon arriving at Cellar 335, you're greeted by a hostess and then taken to a table. The space that you step into, is extremely dark and intimate. I think it's the best place for a date night or a girl's night out. Thankfully, while I dined here I had a wonderful waiter, Shawn! He was so pleasant, funny and definitely wanted to make sure my guest and I had a great first time. Since it was lunch, there were some drink specials, I decided to go with a frozen strawberry daiquiri and let me tell you, you only need ONE! Although small, the drink packed a good punch! For the appetizer, I ordered the carnitas BAO and OHEMGEE, it was delicious. I must admit, I'm a first timer with the BAOs, but it won't be my last. The carnitas BAO was so good that I think we might've ordered two or three more before the night was over. Other things ordered through the night were: cellar fries, the drunken veggie noodle, and Korean style wings. The ONLY complaint I had was the drunken veggie noodle, I wasn't really a fan, because I thought there was a lot of everything else and so little noodles. Cellar 335 has definitely lived up to the hype for me. If you're in the area, def make this place your go to!

We were expecting Gastro Pub Bar Food in this Wine / Mixed Drink focused establishment. We shared Corn Bread, Brussel Sprouts, Branzino, Fried Rice, Orange Beef, etc. and every dish brought unique tastes and Ooohs & Aaaahs from all 4 of us. You can skip the drinks and just go for the food! Amazing food and atmosphere. We had the Bao, ribs; Avocado fried rice. Amazing flavors, great local find!

Excellent tiki bar style restaurant that serves amazing cocktails and delicious food. We came here for a Birthday celebration and had a blast. Every drink we got was delicious and presented well. Food items were superb - wings, buns etc all excellent. Service was fantastic! Must try if you are in Jersey City. It is a 10 min walk from the path station.

LOVE this place!! The tiki bar vibe combined with a very sexy dining area is the perfect atmosphere for a night out. Our server was FABULOUS. Not only did he give great menu advice, he gave us tips on the do's and don'ts of jersey city nightlife lol. We started with draaanks. My boyfriend had "Scallywags In Sweden". It's like a rum punch. It was too sweet and strong for my taste, but he loved it. I ordered "Surfin The Alps". Our server warned me this may not be for everyone, but I really enjoyed it! It tastes like the holidays lol. If you are familiar with Coquito (a coconut milk based cocktail, made during the holidays in the Hispanic community), this is an elevated version of it. On to the noms! The cornbread was unlike any cornbread I have ever had. Texture was on point and it was super tasty. The carnitas bao was really good! I mean, the bao bun is an incredible vessel for anything lol. The Drunken Veggie Noodle was full of texture and some heat. The Pepper Beef was SO TENDER and delicious. The Korean Style Wings (maple chipotle) were awesome!! They were nice and crispy on the outside and so juicy on the inside. The sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and heat. Let's talk about these Crispy Duroc Ribs. Holy freaking moly. They came right off the bone! The flavor profile was off the charts. You must have these!! Us being the piglets that we are, had to have dessert. The creme brulee was divine. The crack of the first spoonful was music to my ears. The icecream sandwich was so much more than an icecream sandwich. Make sure you get whipped cream in every bite! The best part was, we ate like it was our last meal, and it didn't kill our pockets. We are coming back with friends for suuuurree!

Cellar 335 is one of the best restaurants in town! I like how dimly the atmosphere is, it is not too bright and not too dark. The wall side decors with mirror are quite unique and there are lots of seats at the bar counter. The food are all delicious, we had the cellar fries, bacon, scallions and the maple chipotle Korean style wings. The service is excellent and I will surely come back.

Rain dampened plans for our anniversary weekend. Decided to try Cellar 335. Bartender Andrew made us feel like we were on vacation with excellent Tiki-style drinks (one with a flaming garnish) and great food recommendations. The ice cream sandwich dessert was the perfect finish.

Nice tropical cocktails! Their Hawaiian style drinks are unique and well-mixed. The food is also good. We ordered the Baos, shrimp and garlic, wings, Sacri-fries and ribs. Their ribs is the best among all the food. Overall a really nice cocktail bar with a wide selection of good eats.

This is a local spot for my boyfriend and I, that I've been wanting to try for a while. We ordered the punch (2-3 people) split between 2, two apps (guac and fries), and dinner plates (fish and steak). Everything was very tasty, and they definitely take their time preparing it perfectly!

Summary: Go for the drinks, but eat beforehand. Make reservations. The drinks are nice and strong. They're mixed really well so you don't get a heavy alcohol flavor. The food is tasty but on the pricey and small side. They're upfront that it's tapas style. Avo fried rice - The taste was great. But they should give you more rice with this dish. It would probably still work with the amount of toppings on it, but otherwise it feels overpriced Drunken noodle- Sadly the noodles are too chewy and it's over sauced. Korean wings- These are good. no complaints.
