REVIEWS OF Buvette IN New Jersey

Dani Pasquale

Love this place for brunch! Very quick and the waffles are so fluffy! Good cappuccino too

Talia Siegel

One of the best brunches I've had in NYC! It felt like stepping into a cafe in Paris and the food was incredible. Cannot wait to go back.

Iggy Hermann

Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. Great food, Highly recommended!

Jorge Suarez-Velez

Great food, nice atmosphere. One of the best breakfasts in town. But expect a long wait.

Ariko Zhang

Best brunch of my life! Get the hot chocolate. It’s amazing!

Julia Rizzo

Absolutely loved this place. Great breakfast menu and good coffee

RL Redd

Buvette is always a delight. It is one of the only late night restaurants.in NYC with quality small plates for late night dining. The menu changes according to the seasons. They also have a.great wine and yummy cocktails.

Raahul Ramakrishnan

The wait for this restaurant is ridiculous. you should only bother coming if you are a party of two. Once we finally got seated the food and ambience overall was good. The portion sizes were quite small but tasty. Coffee prices are quite high, like $7. But the food is in line with standard brunch in New York prices

fishface123ism

Beautiful building, decor and ambiance, food is delicious. Very, very friendly wait staff and bartender.

The portions here are small but the food is great! Cozy restaurant with attentive service, excellent food and desserts, and good wine. Try the tartines. All of them!

Jiannan Wu

Service is bad even when they are not busy. They put wrong order for me, and the waitress never came back to check to see if everything was good. She took the order, someone else served the food, and a different person brought the check in the end. Food is average plus but not worth a visit with such service experience.

Roger Kylberg

Very nice atmosphere and great service. Highly recommend to take a morning walk to this place.

Benita Sampedro

Pretty horrible experience: tiny table for two, tiny portions of food, and big waitress attitude, arrogant and unpleasant service. Not worth it.

Haneen AlQunaibit

One of my fav spots in Manhattan! For breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner! Have never been disappointed ever! Staff are nice! The space is very very petite! The food has a lot of butter! Comfort food!

Danny Hernandez

Could this be more French? Excellent staff, dreamy ambiance, perfect food.

Joyce Rowland

My early Sunday morning experience was magical! I sat at the counter and took it all in. The food was simple and delicious and the atmosphere charming. In very French fashion, the toilets were located down a set of narrow stairs. Highly recommended.

Samantha Sile

Love love love this place. I will go back everytime I ever visit New York. The portions are small but it means you can order more. Fresh juice. So much great food, I'm so happy I found you Buvette.

Jeriva Lee

This is the original local gem! Watermelon juice was refreshing, the counter seats were comfortable, and a friendly waiter made the whole experience so memorable

Paulina G. Rul

Rude service and very limited menu. I asked for a cappuccino with almond or soy milk and they rudely answered that they don’t have that because it doesn’t go with their concept, so ok, got a tea. Then I asked for a bowl of fruit and granola that usually comes with yogurt but I didn’t want the yogurt because I have a dairy allergy... it was like asking a mission impossible... the server apologized saying that the chef can’t do or isn’t willing to do any changes to the menu so I was like ok, I won’t eat anything then because the rest of the tiny menu didn’t seem appealing. I finally got the granola with fruit and no yogurt... An overall bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone because of the poor service and lack of willingness to accommodate customers.

Zsolt Bognar

This is a special place with a Soho-style French flair. Lovely light-bite menu with a fantastic wine and cocktail selection

Angel

Loved the almond croissants. Coffee was great. Brunch food is delicious. Only down side is that they squeeze as many people as they can in this small restaurant. They 3 of us down on a table that was barely big enough for 2. We barely had enough space to cut our food. It felt a little uncomfortable due to space restrictions but the food was great.

aric mekhaelov

The food was amazing and fresh, but the waiteress manager named Gresia was unbelievably bad in solving the situation when 2 girls nex to our table were shouting so loud, not respecting guests around them,I had to ask them to tone down their voice, the manager approached us and said we were rude, never to this place again!!! no tips either!!!

Nolan Pepka

Absolutely fantastic restaurant with great decor and the best brunch I’ve had in the area. All complimented by the quaint street of Greenwich village. Don’t miss out! Chances are you won’t even have a wait for a table of 2.

B. D.

Cute breakfast joint! I can understand why it's getting such a high rating. Nestled in a quiet area, I almost walked by it! Cappuccino is smooth and Rich and the food though on small plates hits the spot! Highly recommend if you are two people as it can be tough to get a seat! Try weekdays!

Soumeya Benghanem

I love the food here but the staff is so snooty. Yes the food is amazing and I am a huge fan of Jody Williams... but why is her staff at Buvette subpar when compared to Via Carota’s staff? On my last visit I waited around to put my order... they ignored us long enough for us to walk out.

Torie Jones

Been there twice. Once for breakfast, once for dinner. Food was good each time. Waiters were not nice to our party during the dinner visit.

Nils Arne Kastberg

If you want a different breakfast, try their steamed eggs with toast, juices, and round up with a cappuccino...

Ana Tapia

Amazing breakfast. No reservations so you may have to wait for a table, but it is totally worth the wait. The place has a really cozy ambiance and has a little terrace where you can eat when the weather is nice. The service is incredible as well, waiters are nice and friendly.

Sara Silberstang

Absolutely one of my favorite NYC places. Always a line and just soooo good! For breakfast, get the croissants regardless of what else you order. Any steamed egg dish - the salmon is large and amazing! So tasty! For dinner, the anchovy toast is unreal! I love a good pile of butter! Great wines, great atmosphere! Nice people watching and wonderful experience. Worth waiting for a table!

giraldo40

Terrific food, unique ambiance

Santiago Fernandez

Worth the wait line!!! One pf best brunch places in NYC

Angela

This is such a charming cafe. The atmosphere is so cozy. I had the almond croissant which was filled with the tastiest almond paste. The order came with two mini croissants. I also had a croque madame which was tasty and decadent. This was my first-time visiting this cafe and it was so worth the visit. It's been a few weeks but I'm still thinking about my lovely experience.

Reese Mallick

Amazing goat cheese and spinach omelet

vadim ormanzhi

In all honesty, not a great place. I was expecting higher quality from a French restaurant. Simple put it. Overpriced sliced French bread with burnt cheese. The Latte tastes like regular coffee with milk.

Marcus

Used to be better. Server pushy and overall experience felt rushed. We spent less than 45 minutes on a $58 (w/o tip) bill.

James Ives

Wonderful spot in New York City serving French inspired dishes with an adorable atmosphere. Went for breakfast and enjoyed what they had to offer, had the Croquet Madame and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything. The only downside to this place is that it can get a little bit pricy for the amount of food you receive.

Pablo Paternain Soler

Terrible if you go with infants, they told us to get our baby out of the stroller and put him to sleep on a bench. We almost left after that but went ahead with it. That bench could only fit him, so we weren’t even allowed to put a chair next to him. Had to eat quickly almost standing up. Simple food portions totally overpriced. The food isn’t that good tbh. Don’t recommended it at all.

António Fonseca

Good, decor, friendly and dophisticated. Good. Brunch

Jacob Garza

Small, cozy French restaurant with small outdoor patio.

Vladislav Shraybman

Great cozy place. Marvelous food and service

Dj Funky

for those am munch crazings...oh ya

Karen Wickert

Loved the chocolate mousse! Went here for dessert and drinks and it was wonderful. The food also smelled amazing but I had already eaten.

Abder Benghanem

The menu is delectibly selected to perfection. This is home to many New Yorkers' favorite dishes. Don't come if you're in a hurry. It's rare to come in and be seated immediately. Unfortunately the restaurant is tiny, but they make the most out of every inch. Get the waffle sandwich for breakfast and the amazing orange juice. The truffle and egg is also amazing. For lunch, the the cow au vent. The staff are so friendly but can have an attitude at times. The price per dish is a bit high. Eggs and waffles should not cost $16 anywhere, especially in such a tightly seated restaurant.

Sergey Kovalev

Cozy French restaurant with hidden outdoor patio. Food are served on the small plates with real European flavor. Unusual wide selection of fresh squeezed juices

Dino Moll

Beautiful quaint little place! Friendly service and nice food. The location is great too in a nice picturesque street. Glad I stopped here after getting all my photos at the friends building hehe

anna kleine

What a gem! I was the first customer in the morning - recommended, I hear the place gets really crowded later on. The steamed eggs are amazing - best I ever had! Staff are super friendly, and the atmosphere is really cozy - a must visit when in NYC.

M. Doucet

I hated this place. While it might be perfect for a child's tea party, with its tiny furniture and miniature cutlery, it's no place for a normal-sized (male) adult. Service was poor, seating embarrassingly inadequate, and our mostly tasteless meal barely fit at the table. While the decor was interesting, hanging rugs beside the tables seems assuredly in questionable taste. Restrooms are in the basement, but because servers refuse to provide adequate seating for disabled patrons that likely won't be a problem for the mostly petite clientele this woeful restaurant normally accommodates.

Jordan Ott

Came here for breakfast because they are open early, 7 am. Atmosphere is great in a nice neighborhood. Cozy and you can smell the baked goods in the oven. The waffle sandwich was tasty with bacon, egg, and cheese. There was a lot of butter but I’m sure that’s why it tasted so good. We had the granola with all the fixings... berries, honey, bee pollen, yogurt. Yogurt is tart and a good compliment to the fruit and honey. My husband had the waffle and he liked it. My complaint would be that you can’t make any changes to the menu items. I asked for ham instead of bacon on the waffle sandwich. Seemed like a simple switch to me but they wouldn’t do it. It was delicious as is but I don’t understand why they can’t make adjustments.

Mayson Eaton

I visit this lovely spot quite often! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I go there many times. The meals are great, the workers are welcoming and the rates are decent. I enjoy eating in this restaurant over a decent supper.

Tim Fitzwater

Awesome French restaurant- went once for dinner and once for breakfast. Amazing food and cocktails. Atmosphere for days! My favorite place in NYC(loved the Paris one too). Seriously if you are disappointed here it’s time to realize you don’t have any taste.

Elizabeth Carter

This place is Amazing. The food is awesome and so is the staff.

David LeDuc

Awesome atmosphere and great breakfast.

ברק הרשקוביץ

One of my favorite cafes in nyc. Real feel of Paris in a lovely location. All the menu is absolutely of high quality

Kosta

It has a nice rustic feel and the service is good. I highly recommend coming during non peak hours or you will wait for a while. The food is excellent, especially their steamed eggs. The coffee was good as well. Overall, had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.

Natalie K. Beckwith

These folks have it down! Friendly, fast, professional service and delicious food and coffee. Adorable old world charm.

Ian Gladman

Went there for breakfast just after they opened at 7am on Saturday morning. A short time later the place was busy and I can see why. Without doubt the best food I’ve found in NYC. Pricey but worth it and the staff are great too. Will definitely be back.

Daniel McCovel

Excellent coffee, drinks, service and atmosphere. Breakfast was dismal in comparison to other options in the area. I would recommend for the drinks at atmosphere, not the food. I ordered the mushroom and toast.

EM CEE

I expected too much on this place but not so impressed at all. Ordered croque forestier and it was burnt and dry. Didn't enjoy eating it that much and as a typical thing in NY of course they are overpricing. I wasted time and money just to see how it is. Next time I know not to go back here again.

Rick Hochman

Favorite restaurant in the city. They can make carrots taste like heaven, and serve you the perfect wine to go with them. Quaint, crowded, and romantic all at the same time. A true gem.

Kerry B

Cute, French style cafe, great food and coffee and friendly service

Cody Fierst

Very quaint. Great atmosphere. Waffle sandwich is incredible. Coffee and cappuccino was great. Staff was friendly and quick.

Wei Xin Yuan

The decor is nice, but space feels cramped and just too close to the other patrons and the waiting staff. Pretentious, doesn't even have decaf coffee, and the waiter informed me in a rather snobbish manner this is the case. Overpriced, the scrambled eggs aren't anything to write home about, but priced up.

Derrick Ma

Love this place. Very petite restaurant but it really creates positive energy in a very cozy space. The food is of course on point. Get anything. Get everything. I do.

Melanie Mercado

My go to brunch place!

Asya Kotler

For branch lovers I highly recommend this place. Amazing service, food both tasty and instarammable, and a fun fact - it’s right next to “Friends” apartment. Enjoy!

Shelby Moore

Wow the madame croquet I had was delicious! My husband had a delicious poached eggs and hot chocolate! Loved it

Chris Hood

I absolutely loved this place. A quaint French cafe in NYC, complete with incredible food, drinks and ambiance. I visit this location every time I'm in town. The food is excellent, made from scratch practically in front of you. The flavors are rich, and there are plenty of options for everyone. Prices are reasonable, service is excellent. They tend to be busy, so prepare to wait for a table. But it is well worth it.

Cameron McLean

Small and usually really busy. You'll definitely feel cramped. But I eat here EVERY time I'm in NYC if that tells you anything. Go with a bunch of people so you can try everything. The menu isn't huge, and it's all really good. Great wine selection and some cool cocktails to boot.

Andreas Hjorth Simonsen

Beautiful french place on a cosy street Went for breakfast Coffee was good but dishes lacked finesse. Ordered salmos/avocado which was salmon and advocado trown on top of two thick slices of toast. Disappointing and boring

B W

How could this place ever get a negative review? Fresh breakfast, incredible eggs & salmon. Wonderful teas and cocktails. Yes, it gets cramped-but that is part of the charm. Very romantic, and worth the wait/small tables. For food of this excellent quality we would eat off our laps.

Mattias Zackrisson

Nice spot for breakfast or brunch. Probably also a nice place during other hours of the day. The breakfast menu has a lot of delicious egg dishes. French theme.

Andreas Holst Johansen

Lovely little gem. We had their steak tatar and smoked salmon on eggs. Both were amazing.

Leonardo Viviani

Awesome food super nice little place and atmosphere, but very much on the pricey side. It’s a nice place to go for a special breakfast occasion. Still I would recommend

Lillian Luscher

Quaint New York dining. Friendly and efficient staff!

Nicole Jackson

One of the best brunches we have had in NY ! Located in the beautiful Waldorf Astoria off of Rush. From the amazing feel of a French Bistro to the overhead music , the setting was great! Let me start with my morning cocktail, so yummy and pretty- it was a fig cocktail with vodka, fig preserves and a fig liquer. The food, okay, for starters, I have to highly recommend their French toast! This French toast was with a lemon curd sauce and blueberries atop a very thick fluffy slice of French toast, my family and I shared it because we all wanted a savory entree to boot! The French omelette was fluffy and tasty, and not overrun with stuff, just simple and yummy. Oh, and if you are a fan of Duck- get the Duck wings for yourself or to share with your table! Really, really good! I cannot wait to go back and savor more from the menu. Service was excellent as expected and attentive.

Matt zebroski

A beautiful restaurant! The food is fantastic and the service is friendly. Wine selection is great as well and they have a decent happy hour. I can't wait to return.

Woodrow Wildcat

Heavenly steamed eggs and prosciutto. I visit from Dallas just for these. Well, almost!

John Weber

The muscles in curry sauce we quite delicious. The restaurant itself was well decorated but it was rather tight quarters for sitting. I'm 6' 200 pounds and I had to move my limbs rather delicately so I didn't tip anything over. I did accidentally drop the sausage from my entire onto the floor, that was disappointing. I couldn't catch it in time but luckily it didn't hit the ladies next to us.

Andrea Diaz

This place was lovely, is small but cozy, service is on point and food is out of this word. Is crowded but romantic at the same time. 5*

Tim Bucciarelli

Great little spot. Attentive and professional staff. Good coffee and good food. Very enjoyable little bistro atmosphere.

Asher McInerney

Amazing local Gem with authentic staff, menu and wines by the glass. Open late with a casual vibe and no frills service. Highly recommend this for a casual night out with friends or a romantic setting for a date.

Rhonda Lee

Love it here? Writing this as i finish my meal. My favorite place. Great wine list. Good snacky size plates of food. Good service! My nabe fave!

Deepak Jaisankar

Best brunch in NYC! The almond croissant, Belgian waffles and cappuccino from Buvette is what God has for breakfast.

Dror Gorelik

One of the best restaurants for breakfast in nyc. Set on a quiet street in downtown manhattan, with authentic Parisian atmosphere. The menu is limited to a few dishes, but every one of them is pure perfection. The coffee is excelent and the service outstanding. Stay away. I want it to myself.

Andrew Means

Every time I come to New York I come to Buvette. And if I don’t I kick myself. The atmosphere is perfect. The food is always amazing. The drinks go down maybe too easily.

Brynne Styles

Kind of small, but food is amazing and totally worth it.

ken sander

Food was good

Gary Rivera

My husband and I went for a very late breakfast. We arrived about 1:30. Wait was about 30 min. FOOD WAS FABULOUS!! Pancakes heavenly!! We will definitely go back :)

ᄎH

Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful staff and the food is even better. Couldnt resist but order another plate. By the time we left, we were SO full but it was worth it.

Rick H

A beautiful little spot. Servers were attentive & friendly. The tables are a bit small. The menu was tiny & cute. The waffle sandwich is amazing. The tea is served nicely & if you ask for honey. It comes in a nice container with a honey comb. Getting one star less because the untensils weren't the cleanest. There's a lovely outdoor area.

Alex Popko

Came here for brunch and was not disappointed. Portions are a bit small but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Food was all very delicious, as well as the cappuccino. Wait time was long but to be expected given the size of the restaurant and it being a nice weekend, however the staff was very courteous.

Nicolas M. Aiello

Buvette is intimate, romantic and charming. The food was interesting... I've never had Ratatouille served on toast, but I loved it! If you go for the moules-frites, make sure to ask for some bread - you're going to want to soak up that delicious buttery curry sauce they sit in. The service was impeccable. The waitress we had was on-point, great at providing suggestions on the menu, and very personable. A dinner at Buvette feels like an affair to remember.

Ruben Rosario

It's as if you were transported to a little bistro in Paris! Lovely and quaint, Buvette is just an absolute dreamy place to have some breakfast and enjoy a coffee. My wife and I went on a Monday morning and it was a tremendous delight. My co-worker told me about going here, while I was visiting NY for the first time and its an experience that I'll never forget. Also, get the croissants, cause its a no-brainer.

Jai Lim

Amazing food and even better service! Our server Zoe was the best and I'm looking forward to visiting again!

Yuchin Hou

Super good food, highly recommend!

Dennis Peters

Our party shared four appetizers and four entrees. All were excellent. And the cocktails were quite amazing also.

Markiyan Matsekh

Potatoes au gratin with merguez lamb sausage are phenomenal. On the other hand, lamb stew was average, and tables are extremely small. But overall it's a great place that i want to come back to.

P O

Delicious food but squishy tables and chairs. Also tiny portions. We came hungry and left hungry.

Mariusz Dusza

Very nice place with very good food and drinks. Usually busy, friendly staff.

Joel Horowitz

Great French food. Yummmm!!

Annie Sangaroonthong

Best almond croissant ever! Cute little cafe with chill vibes! The watermelon lemonade was also yum. Food looked like it would be small but was filling

Brayden Mora

As a New Yorker this is one of my favorite places to go for both brunch and late night wine and desserts! Theres always a long line to get in here for brunch so the earlier you can get here the better. The service is great and food is sooo yummy, if you can get your hands on financier before they sell out they are melt in your mouth amazing. The place is super tiny so if you're two of you opt for the bar!

Maha Al-Maadeed

If sitting at the bar avoid this at all costs this is where the kitchen staff hand over the food to the wait staff. Avocado toast was beyond magnificent, whoever made my waffles had a heavy hand with the butter make sure to ask for less or omit it all together

Sergey Kovalev

Cozy French restaurant with hidden outdoor patio. Food are served on the small plates with real European flavor. Unusual wide selection of fresh squeezed juices

Penelope Pelton

The well edited menu here was incredibly good, both drinks and food. I will definitely be returning, especially for the croque forestier. The outdoor patio is small but adorable.

Emory Johnson

This spot knows how to treat their clients. Constantly with a very nice demeanor. The food is conveniently priced, always tasty and clean.

Sophie T

A beautiful spot that even my boyfriend from France said it looks like a bistro in Paris. We hung out by the bar and it was probably a more comfortable spot than moving out to the outdoor area. The tables are tiny outside and there was barely enough space to put our dishes down. Nonetheless love the wine selection, the food, and absolutely the vibe here. We got the onion soup, croque monsieur, and potato gratin. Yum!

Polly Anywhere

It’s our late night spot in the neighborhood; we love to go when we are hungry around midnight. Sit by the bar and have a drink or two with meats and cheese recommended by the bar tender; and wrap up the evening with the perfect chocolate moose

Paolo Domeneghetti

Good homemade food, romantic, u could be in Paris...good wine list!

Chris Cole

I loved the salt cod in the brandade de morue and the ratatouille.

Janet Clarke Bell

Lovely French Bistro with a sweet tiny patio in the back

Bruce Dixon

Favourite french restaurant in the West Village. Top food and excellent staff.

Samantha Pinheiro

Insane!!! Insane brunch. You must try the breakfast waffle sandwich with eggs! It’s actually insane! Everything else is also amazing but this dish is exceptional! Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon are also exceptional! Highly recommended. try and go early because there are usually longer waits to get a seat outside in the garden. Otherwise inside is also fun and bustling with air conditioning

Garrett Morimoto

A beautiful, hidden gem. Great food, good drinks, and friendly staff. My only issue - space is tight. If you're going on a date, expect the people next to you to hear your conversation.

Adam Farhat

Bottom line is that this place is way too expensive for the quality and quantity of food. The interior has a French cafe vibe to it and the wait staff was pleasant. Food portions are tiny and pricey. Given VAST amount of other restaurants in the area, I wouldn't go back there.

Delia Rico

Ambiance, food, cocktails and great location. No reservations and a wait but if you go during the week in the early evening you might wait 20 mins.

Rachel Ewell

It’s been three days and I still can’t stop thinking about the incredible experience that I had at Buvette. The service was wonderful, the setting is cozy and welcoming and the food was absolutely outstanding. Truly an stellar dining experience.

Ian Tomalin-Hall

We love this spot when we are in New York. Can’t go wrong with a cappuccino and croque monsieur. We’ve been back more than ten times so you can’t say more than that. It’s always busy but worth the wait for a table.

Patricio Sandoval

Good for a brunch but they forget many times a coffe that was ordered. Should improve the service.

Emmet Guzman

This place always delivers. They serve fresh dishes for affordable prices, there is no waiting time even when the spot is full.

Jen

This was the most perfect place for a romantic Valentine’s date. Cozy with dim lighting and ambient music *swoon* We had beef burgers which I think were a special. They were delicious and the perfect size and the fries were the best. The mulled wine was a winner and the staff were friendly and warm. Can’t wait to go back for breakfast!

Ana Lucia Varon Ocampo

Delicious food. I had the croque forestier and my husband had the croque monsieur. Both were delicious, but portions were quite small. The service was good. The seating is a bit uncomfortable but the food is worth it.

Liliana E

have been here twice over the years. eggs have been too salty. Bloody Mary is ok. i like the decor and the concept, not my go to for execution and cost. in the neighborhood, my preference is tartine with BYOB! (if you like “trendy”, this may work for you)

Regina Sofia Gonzalez

First thing a waiter petulantly and snootily said when I entered the restaurant “This place is air-conditioned. You have to close the door behind you.” Considering that this place is highly reviewed, we bothered to come down from Columbia to try it. However, did not expect to be treated so crudely by their staff. Yes, their food is delicious, but the experience had been tainted by their unprofessional staff whose manners are unpar with the values the establishment seems to uphold.

Fabricio PH

It was good! Small plates to share, simil Spanish restaurants Edit: they overcharged my credit card on the tip I left.

Kaye Libe

This place is very cozy and French :) food was really good except for the julienned carrots.

Hector Lujan

This is a very lovely french cafe. The ambiance of everything was delightful and welcoming for breakfast. A bit pricey but worth the experience.

Eric San Jose

Easy to see right off of Grove Street. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Clean facilities with a wheelchair accessible entrance. Reasonably priced. Nice staff. Credit cards accepted. We will most likely be going back.

Navneet Singh

Went for a Sunday brunch. The place is small but regardless the food was horrible. Two people in our group ordered eggs. All they could taste was salt, making the food completely inedible. I ordered chicken with salad. The chicken was completely cold. The green beans were extremely salty. The waffle sandwich was such a small portion. Overall, the food is expensive and just did not taste good.

Dan Wicker

Finest experience in my many steakhouse restaurants

Larry Wolf

This is our favorite place for breakfast when visiting NYC. It's on a quiet street in the village. Classic cafe breakfast. Coffee is only espresso. Food is simple and delicious. Pastries are fresh.

Emer Cassidy

Busy and popular breakfast spot in west village. Food is simple and delicious and has lovely coffee. Huge wine selection and delicious cakes. Highly recommended!

Dino Moll

Beautiful quaint little place! Friendly service and nice food. The location is great too in a nice picturesque street. Glad I stopped here after getting all my photos at the friends building hehe

Helen Hall

Always excellent and no line in the week.

Ann Willingham

I thought this place was just a bakery...but who knew it has some of the best pho in the city! Just excellent!! Also very friendly an the prices are very reasonable. So happy my boyfriend brought me here!

Shu Patel

Amazing French style breakfast. Get the waffle sandwich!!! You won't regret it. It's the perfect amount of flavor and overall tastes so good. Probably my favorite item in nyc when we visited.

Dennis Sifris James Myhre

Somehow Buvette retains its neighborhood charm despite being one of the top restaurants in NYC. Buzzy without being noisy. Food always on point. Never fails to impress.

Anne Fernandena

We love this place! It is as close to being in a French bistro without having to be in France. The serving is adequate, not too small, not too large. This is essentially how Europeans eat. They do not over-indulge, but actually enjoy the quality, not the quantity. If you are a big eater, go with the waffle sandwich - does not seem like a lot, but it will satisfy you. If you are still hungry at the end, then just order one of their salted croissants and a to-go espresso and you are good to tackle the rest of your day. The decor of the place is very unique - not overdone, but a lot of thought definitely was put into designing the space. If it is not too hot, try and get a table outside their quaint little patio, and just imagine yourself in a small town in Provence.

Benjamin Cousino

Such good food. Everything was perfect. The flavor, the cooking, the texture, the combination of food. Absolutely perfect and will go every chance I get.

lo et Li

Outstanding selection of wines, buzzy atmosphere and best Tarte Tatin have tried in New York. MUST go for that alone, and go past 10pm.

Robert Ghandour

Horrible service, walked in and was greeted by a waiter that refused to seat me and my spouse until our friend showed up. Alongside his snarky attitude and stuck up personality, the restaurant is nothing great. If this is their attempt at being French, it's a terrible fail. Your waiters don't speak French and they are very stuck up. I would recommend to anyone else to go next door to AOC. Their waiters are actually French and greet you with a smile, unlike Buvette. From a French person to this restaurant owner.. Stop trying

Avi Farchi

Cool place with friendly service. We tried the omlette, the avocado toast and the waffle. Everything was very good but the waffle is a must.

Danny Barber

A top site for delicious French food. food was so appetizing. the service here is above par. it has a cool interior.

Heather Miles

Fabulous food & ambience here, loved it.

Andy Siegel

Ahh, Buvette. France outside of France. Cozy and warm, crazy & hectic and absolutely delicious! Best bang for the buck in NYC.

Alexander Edwards Studio

Very busy restaurant with short wait time. Delicious food and great for groups of 10 or more people.

DAVID LOFREDDO

Consistently a wonderful experience. A lovely french spot with a knowledgeable staff and ever changing menu. One of our favorite spots in NYC

Kevin Ashurst

Not sure why some people are complain in the reviews about the cost. It's outstanding food quality, and between the great food, excellent service, and a fanatical attention to detail down to the decor having no dust, you are definitely getting a good value. It's definitely "cozy" so be prepared to be sitting close to other tables. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.

jonathas lanna valle filho

Hands down the best chocolate mousse in town. Great brunch selections like the salmon with capers and eggs, it the waffle sandwich w eggs gruyere and bacon. Diner dishes are all very delicious too, the def order the special burger if they are serving it.dishes are on the small side, but that's good, that means human portions.

Edna Banks

Came here for breakfast because they are open early, 7 am. Atmosphere is great in a nice neighborhood. Cozy and you can smell the baked goods in the oven. The waffle sandwich was tasty with bacon, egg, and cheese. There was a lot of butter but I’m sure that’s why it tasted so good. We had the granola with all the fixings... berries, honey, bee pollen, yogurt. Yogurt is tart and a good compliment to the fruit and honey.

My top place for French food. Great hospitality. This place has many reviews for a reason.

Cute spot with great food and service! We dropped by early in the morning for breakfast, and tried their Jambon Cru and Waffles which were both delicious. Though the way they’re served makes them look small, they’re pretty generous with what they give you and the dishes are deceivingly filling. Coffee was great too!

The food, wine, service, and atmosphere are amazing. If you have to wait, have a glass of wine... it’s worth it .

It was fun to go once, since it was tucked into a cute, quiet street, the pastries are great, and the food is decent. Very expensive for the portions and seating is so tight that it's not very pleasant. Wait times can be bad at times too and service is about what you get at a 24/7 diner (very efficient but not especially friendly)

Great lunch! Sit at the bar, enjoy some wine and a great croque monsieur! Eveytime we are in NYC, we don’t forget to stop by for some good food! It’s small, you may have to wait....but it’s worth it.

Delicious food, great presentation. Located on a quiet St in the West End. Waiter could have shown more warmth, considering the pricey menu.

Small place but they have the best breakfast food ever. Absolutely loved their watermelon lemonade and coffee. Our server was very nice and friendly too

Had brunch. Awesome place! Food is so good and the server is nice. No reservation. I went here alone at 11am weekend but had to wait for more than 30 minutes.

Amazing breakfast. I wish they would serve a bit bigger portions because it is the size of an appetizer

I can't believe I didn't visit this place earlier, I've missed out on so much good food!
