BulgogiZip is a new Korean barbeque restaurant with a diner kinda setting in downtown Newark area. They have a very simple menu with about just 10 items, served in take out boxes with generous portion size at reasonable pricing. The ambience with the diner kinda setting was great and service was pretty quick. I generally avoid Korean BBQ restaurants as they tend to not include any vegan/vegetarian mains. But these guys serve ONE vegan option - Tofu teriyaki which is definitely worth trying. I tried the tofu teriyaki with brown rice which is served with a side of salad. The tofu was pretty flavorful with enough sauce for the rice, some may find it a bit sweet but was definitely tasty. One can also choose the fried rice ($1 extra) or white rice with their mains. If you wish to add some dressing for your salad or need some sauce for your main, you can fetch some from the choice of sauces placed on a counter at the side. I definitely loved trying some Korean food but also wished they had few more vegan/vegetarian friendly options. Overall it's definitely worth visiting this place for some good Korean BBQ.

Super excited to find a Korean lunch place in Newark! The bibimbop was just as good as a k-town NYC lunch spot, with a good mix of veggies, mushrooms, and egg, and the veggie version was filling even without the added meat. Food was prepped fresh but the wait wasn't bad even though there was a line when we arrived, and the staff were really friendly.

So my fiance and I ordered off of Seamless on a lazy Sunday. Delivery took longer than expected, but that seems to be an issue with the available drivers, not the facilities we order from. Anyway, we got the bulgolgi beef bowl, a pork bowl, the meat dumplings and an order of wings. First off, the portions were much larger than we anticipated. The dumplings are probably some of the best I've ever had, and that's saying something lol The bowls were also really good, as were the wings. And the wings came with fries, which are 'pretty good for an Asian place' according to him haha (before anyone freaks out, he's Vietnamese. It wasn't a racist comment, just a matter of fact statement.) Overall, we were really happy with our meal. They do have a small menu, but I'll need get forget Gordon Ramsey starting that a good restaurant doesn't need a big menu, just a small selection of what they're best at making. These guys definitely excel with the foods they make.

This place is legit. I will say I'm not enamored by thier fried rice but the spicy prok and kalbi are excellent. Also their wings are delicious, I wish they would give me a side of the soy garlic sauce or just put more on the wings but they are still very good. Stop by this place and you'll leave happy and full. Salud!

The Husband and I had the bulgogi beef and the soy garlic wings, it was delicious, monster size wings and the beef was soft, sweet and just perfect. We will definitely come back, next time I want to try the sweet pork!! Yummy Keep it up guys, so far you are doing great! Wish you the best, God bless. It's a nice family owned restaurant. I got a spicy pork, the portion is good for one person. It is well balanced with lots of salad on the side, and they are fresh! Prices are very reasonable too. Will def come here often.

I came here thinking I was going to have some kind of Korean culinary experience but the menu is very limited. I ordered the bbq pork. I was told my $9 meal came with a choice of vegetable; broccoli or lettuce and tomato. I chose broccoli. My meal was to-go and the people were nice. Unfortunately, when I got home I discovered I had been given one very small broccoli florett, some lettuce and a slice of tomato. I dont feel the meal was worth the money. Rice and iceberg lettuce dont cost much. Plate filler. Basically, I paid $9 for a scoop of shredded bbq pork.

I came here because there is no Korean restaurant I know of in newark. The food was really good quality. Fresh and clean tasting. The soy pepper wings were crunchy with a great sauce not too hot, just right. The flavors they use are different from the norm in a good way. I really found a jewel by checking this place out. The staff was nice and friendly also.
