A FEW PEOPLE RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE SO WE TRIED IT. PIZZA WAS AVERAGE AND INGREDIENTS AREN'T FRESH. THE SPINACH WAS OUT OF A CAN OR FROZEN. THOUGHT MAYBE WE WOULD DISCOVER A PLACE IN JACKSON THAT HAD DECENT FOOD, BUT THIS WASN'T IT. PORTIONS ARE BIG, BUT I WOULD RATHER HAVE BETTER FOOD THAN AN LARGE PLATE OF AVERAGE FOOD.

The restaurant is small...the portions are large and delicious, servers are all extremely friendly, manager goes out of his way to accommodate and thank you for your business. Definitely one of our favorite Italian restaurants.

Goes to show you looks aren't everything. Very crowded for a reason. Great pizza and the salad is top notch. Have not sat in the dinning room yet but there is always a full house. Plenty of friendly staff keep everything steaming along. You have to try it yourself, you will be back.

Met my cousin here for a bite to eat. Wound up getting the shrimp parm hero. I have to say being a brooklynite all my life this place had a dam good hero! Shrimps were a really good size, sauce was great and plenty of mozzarella! I would definitely order it again. The service was great too, I didn't catch the guys name but he was on point, funny and pleasant! My cousin and his wife had the calzones and a square which they both enjoyed. Also try their coffee soda, similiar to Manhattan special, my cousin says they are really good. Prices are very reasonable also.

Awesome, crispy, tasty pizza. We had the Popeye with spinach and ricotta and added mushrooms. Every bite was wonderful. The decor isn't fancy but the food is terrific and the staff is courteous and professional. Can't wait to go back!

Wow!!!! Brooklyn Square is the REAL DEAL!!! I searched long and far in New Jersey for a real upside down square pie, after hearing out about this place, I had to go see for myself, I ordered the Brooklyn square pie and Oh My God! It was love at 1st bite! Flavorful sauce, beautiful texture, quality mozzarella, baked to absolute perfection! This place my friends is a DIAMOND in the rough! Went back a 2nd, and 3rd time to see if there was continuity at this place, and they are absolutely consistent! My family really enjoyed the pizza! NJ's finest pizza hands down!

We just moved to the area recently and was looking for good pizza. Someone recommended Brooklyn Square. I went there Friday night to buy 4 slices of square. I look on the counter and notices there wasn't any square so I ask the guy behind the counter for 4 slices thinking a pie is cooking and would be out soon. This obnoxious rude guy tells me I cant buy slices he's to busy taking care of customers so take something already made. First of all what the F..... Am I not a customer and you want me to eat pizza that looked like it was sitting there all day. I wouldn't go back to that place ever again. They do not know how to treat customers. It doesn't matter what you buy a slice or ten pies you treat every customer the same.

A friend of mine took me to try Brooklyn Square since he knows I like to try different spots for pizzas. I took a salad and a pizza. Was a nice one, I liked the crust. The staff at the counter need to be a little bit more friendly with customers.. Otherwise a good place for a quick bite.

Had dinner there tonight. The place was packed when we arrived and we waited a while to be seated but it was worth the wait. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Didn't get her name. Peter's calamari was very good, lil spicy but cooked perfectly. I ordered stuffed rigatoni on vodka sauce. The portion size was huge. Very good dish and took more than half of it home. Definitely one of the better restaurants for Italian food. Going back soon for their pizza which I was told is awesome.

Best pizza in NJ, very close to L&B's in Brooklyn. Every dish we order is excellent. The Broccoli Rabe is beyond amazing. Delicious. Veal Parm, Veal Saltimbocca, Calamari, wings, and salmon are some of the entrees we've tried. All excellent. Didn't like the meatball hero, looked like meatloaf and I didn't like the taste but that was the only sandwich I tried I did not like but I'm prejudiced, my meatballs are the best. Over all this is our haunt now. The Staff are EXCELLENT, FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL AND ATTENTIVE. WARNING, FRIDAYS, ESPECIALLY DURING LENT ARE MOBBED. DONT GO HUNGRY YOU WILL HAVE A WAIT. THIS IS A GREAT PLACE. I HOPE THE OWNER EXPANDS, GETS S BIGGER PLACE ON ROUTE 9, OFFERS KARIOKI AND MUSIC SIMILAR TO WHAT THE OLD ANGELOS USED TO DO. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT OUT HERE. BRIOKLYN SQUARE IS THE BOMB, LOVE IT. THE OWNER IS A GREAT GUY TOO.

This is the neighborhood friendly pizza joint as you can find in just about any Jersey town. If you are a regular, you will keep coming - if you are pizza shopping for the best in Howell or Jackson - you should try it, but I'm betting you will find better elsewhere - like Spanos, Solo Bella or even Romeo's down the street.

Amazing pizza, try the Spinach Artichoke, the upsdie down, or the Honeymoon. They get very busy so be prepared to wait or not have the slices you want durning the dinner rush (understandable) but I have never had a bad meal from here.

It is not Italian foods. I ordered 2 wraps. Delivery took 2 hours and when driver took money he even did not ask If I want change. They added too much sauce and overcooked shrimp and mushrooms. This was terrible.

Where have you been all my life, said the fat kid that lives in my belly. Wow. I have had great thick pan pizza everywhere. The pizza there has so much flavor but it’s so lite and airy. I was amazed at how good it was and how crazy bizzy it was. Now this is why I bumped a pizza place to 5 stars. The place was bumpin. Phones were ringing and everyone who worked there were WORKING. Not on there phones or ignoring you. They were all happy and working very, very well together. It’s nice to see. PLUS the pizza in case I did not mention was crazy good. I have tried almost all now. Yup, that good.

Recently moved from NY to NJ. In NY there are so many good pizza places. I really took that for granted because when I moved to NJ there are very very few good pizza places. Someone we know suggested trying Brooklyn Square..This place is a diamond in the rough. Pizza was very good. The staff was super friendly and I ended up meeting the owner,who is from Brooklyn, and we ended up know the same guy. He was really friendly and you can tell he knows what he’s doing with pizza. So if you are in search of really good pizza and are in the Jackson area I would highly recommend you stop in and enjoy a few delicious slices.

The reason this pizza place is even getting two stars, is the delivery service was speedy and polite, the pizza cut clean. Moving on, ordering a single pizza from this restaurant will cost you the equivalent of a filet mignon and shrimp dinner-- not even joking sadly. One large buff chix. pizza was near thirty dollars, not a single other item besides a side of bleu cheese, and it tasted like they used Frank's Red Hot as the sauce. Ultimately, this place will rip your pocket out for some seriously underwhelming, below average pizza. Would not recommend the pizza if it was 15 dollars less honestly, the price just adds insult to injury. I dont understand how this place gets such positive reviews.

Very good pizza, and could be the best in the area. The Pete's special pizza is delicious. Their sauce in particular is what makes it so good. Their crust could be softer while staying crispy on the outside. Great customer service too which is saying something for a pizza joint.

Took a detour on my way back from Atlantic City on a weekend for a few slices. The cheese slice was good enough but the pepperoni was completely saturated with oil and uneatable. Probably better to order a full pie than to pick a slice from the display.

This place is phenomenal. Definitely arrive hungry. My sister and I both got dinners and the amount of food you get per meal could definitely be shared between two people. The food was great and our waitress Donna was awesome. We went back the next week and got a pizza. The pizza was great as well. If you like Italian food, I would highly recommend going here!

The pie which provided the restaurant its namesake is superb and unique. This Brooklyn Square, a 12 part masterpiece, is also known as ‘the upside down’ is spectacular. The crust is so uniquely made, with a soft chewy texture that is cooked just right. The crust is then topped with cheese, baked, and then covered in a sweet tomato sauce. The restaurant has ample parking, outdoor picnic benches, and a tight pick up space. The entry is lined with Autographs demonstrating what a prize you’ve managed to find.

I have tried to like this place. I like the square pizza, but the staff attitude besides the owner sucks. An recently I decided to try a greek salad ( I guess first off was a no no buying a greeG salad in an Italian restaurant), but instead of what I'm used to getting elsewhere was more like a iceberg lettuce salad with a few whole slice cucumber, olives, chunk of tomato, onions and a boat load of feta. My salad actually had multiple chunks of iceberg lettuce (cheap sh!t), and not one, maybe one piece of green leaf. All of the lettuce was yellow or white. Besides the pizza itself, square pizza although very acidic, is overrated.
