I am truly upset..I just ordered the wings and they were so soggy and so greasy, I couldnt even eat them.. I also order the ginger salad... I could have made this at home.. salad, peppers, onions and sesame seeds... I dont know who is cooking the food,but the wings were not the same as I had before.☹☹

So first off, they let you know on their menu to order at least 30 minutes because it's made to order.... After having a quote time of 35 minutes, my boyfriend went to go pick it up... 45 minutes passed and finally we get the call! There was a mad house & it was only 12:45pm! Understandable since it's the weekend and brand new.... Excited to eat, our food order was not complete :( I called the restaurant to inform them about the missing item, side of steamed rice. Not a big deal at that point. Spoke to the owner, who apologized and offered to drive all the way to my house with a complimentary dish. The owner was very sincere and apologetic. I wish all the best for BonChon Nutley! They have a great concept that's in a good location. Keep up the good work, I'm sure the kinks will work out & you'll be successful! Thank you for listening to your guests concerns!

Great chicken, the seasoning and crunch make it extraordinary! You'll never think about KFC or Popeyes for anything but the side orders again. Do yourself a favor and try the combo. I like the wings better but I'm sure someone loves the drumsticks better. And the rest of their menu is amazing. Little pricey, but remember, this is not fast food. =)

I loved their soy garlic chicken strips and wings. Strongly recommend soy garlic sauce over honey sweet sauce. And spicy is very spicy but pretty addictive. Their glass noodle with beef was pretty good too. Will definitely be back.

I was very excited to find a Bonchon near me. I usually eat at the one in Jersey City. The service was very friendly and pleasant, but the food i have to discuss. The chicken had the "crunch" I was hoping for but the taste, smh! I ordered the garlic soy breast and they tasted like oil. Sooooo disappointed! And I ordered a lychee bubble tea, it was a slushy! The tapioca was partially frozen and it was watery. It had no taste. Nooooooooo! As I'm writing this review I can still taste the oil on my tastebuds. Not good. I don't know, maybe a refresher course would help. But the chicken needs to be perfect.

I stumbled across one of their locations in NYC, and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere and food. The Nutley location is close to home so it's a delight to get the same stellar service and food here without trekking into the city. If you're looking for quality, this is a great place to start!!

BonChon is my favorite Korean-Fried-Chicken store brand. Opened recently (in 2015), the store is figuring out it's way (hence the 4 star) but staff is friendly and store is very clean. Most importantly, the food is done right -- just the right amount of crisp and sauce for the BonChon chicken. Parking is in the back and it's just on the main road in town. If you're up for spice, try the spicy BonChon wings and you will never go back to a normal chicken wing again. Be sure to ask for pickled radish to cool down the heat.

Too pricey especially considering that you don't always get what is advertised. Quality is noticeably on it's way down so I wanted to write this in the hopes they get the message... 1) Tteokbokki no longer includes the very tasty kinari rolls...had to argue for them. 2) they WILL give you picked radish or Cole slaw, but ONLY if you ask for it. Cashier told me that it's because some people don't like it. Well how about you ask them instead of assuming? 3) I was also informed that a lot of menu items have been changed to exclude certain vegetables or garnishes. Funny how prices didn't tho. 4) small combo- 11.99 (6 wings 3 legs). Med combo 22.99 (10 wings 5 legs)..the math is stupid...get 2 smalls =more chicken for only $1 more. Just trying to keep them honest. Hey bonchon, your food is good. Don't eff it up by cutting corners! P.S.

Fantastic crispy chicken legs & wings I can't express how amazing the flavor of the soy-ginger coating except to say I love it! (Watch ordering the spicy....it is extremely so) Pork buns are moist & fresh, the dumplings are little pockets of heaven..everything is freshly made to order so it is simply delicious every time..I don't care for the pickled radishes but that's just my taste.

1st I went to union Bonchon tasted the half n half. It was alright. Not coated spicy chili sauce it was still my comfort food. Decided to try the Nutley Bonchon ordered spicy chili chicken wings it was such a awful fried chicken I ever had. The flour coating was too THICK. THE SAUCE WAS NOT EVEN PROPERLY COATED. MY REVIEW FOR NUTLET BONCHON IT WAS JUST ANOTHER "Korean" fried FLOUR store to fool none ASIAN customer.

Very disappointed on our first visit. Maybe the other food and the regular wings are good, but the "Boneless wings" were just hard, fried chunks of batter with a little bit of chicken inside, and the pot stickers were fried too long. Soy garlic and spicy sauces were OK. At least the seasoned fries were okay, and the server was friendly.

I'm still figuring this one out. The one in NJ I went to was pretty basic where the one back in DC was really huge and nice. I prefer the wings over drum sticks. It was pretty hot and sweet at the same time. Too hot sometimes for me to really savor. I'd go again.

Really, this place is a disorganized mess. The chicken is good...overpriced....but nothing is worth being lied to. Was quoted a 45 minute wait. Yikes. We said...ok. Waited 1 hour and 10 minutes. The place was filled with others that were quite angry as well. "So sorry for the wait." They can apologize all they want (friendly staff) They are going to lose customers. I certainly won't return.

Whole family tried korean fried chicken for the first time and it was unbelievably delicious. We didn’t like boneless wings and sweet crunchy sauce but their wings and strips with soy garlic sauce was amazing. Also highly recommend their soy garlic fried rice and soy garlic Pork buns. Amazing!! Our whole family enjoyed it and can’t wait to try other things on their menu. Will be back next week

Food was great. Unfortunately, the menu(even the online menu) states my order comes with a side of coleslaw. The cashier told me that was incorrect and only comes with a certain combo. I showed her the in-store menu which clearly states otherwise, and received an "I'm sorry" reply. When my food arrived at the table with no coleslaw, I was disappointed. Fix the menu or abide by what it's advertising. I wouldn't want my customers to be disappointed on a mistake that was my fault.

Stopped in for lunch. Small place will counter space and several tables. Mostly Korean food so I chose the bibimbap to see how they compared to other Korean restaurants. The bowl was piping hot, good spice and good sized portion. There is street parking. Would recommend

Tried their food for the first time on superbowl. A friend of mine ordered like couple of hundreds of wings soy garlic ginger sauce and some spicy sauce for drum sticks. I couldn’t concentrate on watching game because the food was phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back and try their amazing food again this weekend.

Mediocre food, with RIDICULOUSLY LONG WAIT TIME. I've had better wings down the way at "the Rock" 414 Main Ave, Clifton, NJ 07014. I'm not even a regular at that place, but their wings are waaaay better. Old Bay is my favorite.You want wing sin under 30 minutes on the regular that taste AMAZING? GO TO THE ROCK.

I live in Kearny and just found out about this location last week. I can't believe I drove 20 munite to get korean fried chicken and korean dishes until last month. So I waited until yesterday to try their food. When I walked in , I was so surprised to see how the store look so cute and clean. And the staff was so friendly. I ordered spicy chicken bibimbop and large combo half and half. I can't describe how delicious it was. The chicken was so crunchy and flavorable. And bibimbop was also so delicious. So happy to have Bonchon near me.

Ive heard some great reviews about Bon Chon however from other locations. I was immediately disappointed when they didn’t have two things I wanted to order on the menu. We ordered wings, fried rice and French fries. The sweet crunch wings had quite an unfamiliar taste, it wasn’t terrible but definitely nothing I would suggest. The spicy wings were awfully spicy, I had to drink my entire cup of water after having one bite. The fried rice was also not terrible, however, Some soy sauce would’ve made it incredible. But unfortunately they were ALSO out of soy sauce. I couldn’t complain about the French fries, definitely tasty. Overall wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone.
