Cozy bar with loud but entertaining music. Nice selection of draft beers and friendly bartenders / owner. More of a middle aged to older crowd but definitely not a typical dive bar like you find in South Amboy.

Thursday night blues jam is off-hook. I went to house of blues in Chicago and the blues music at this joint in South Amboy led by Chuck Lambert is waaay better. Check is out.

Nice cozy, friendly neighborhood bar with beer enough for anyone to find something to like. Sit outside or inside. Food is good and plentiful and the band (Sat nite)was listenable doing some Allman and Clapton covers. Unpretentious and the staff works hard.

We had a fabulous time. The food was all presented beautifully and tasted great. Our steak was prepared exactly as we wanted. The blues band was very good also. Such a chill vibe. We'll be back.

This place is great for breakfast, the food is great. The only downfall to this place is it gets REALLY PACKED. There is very limited seating inside and for breakfast on the weekends the wait could be a good 45 minutes. Other than that it's a great place for breakfast.

Good old style city tavern right on Broadway. The food and beer selection is pretty good and they have live entertainment 1 or 2 nights a week.

The food was excellent. We let the chef prior to going in and the food was prepared beautifully. I had a grilled flounder with naked potato, fresh veggies and a serge salad with an exquisite balsamic dressing. My husband had crabcakes which were in large portabella caps!!!❤

The place has a nice little back and front outside area to drink on nice days, and they of course have live music. A nice place to bring a date and surely the classiest place around the area, It is a bit sterile in its interior design and could use a bit of warmth. The reason I give it 3 stars is because the owner needs to keeps his, umm, beliefs, to himself. I'm not the only person that's been exposed to his speaking his mind a bit too freely. Word to the wise Mr. Owner, keep quiet and don't express your feelings in a bar. Talk about sports, or the weather. Nice bar if he ain't there.

Eclectic place! BBQ on Saturday, jazz on Sundays. Mixed crowd, part neighborhood pub, part Polish biker bar, part just folks having fun. Menu isn't extensive, food is average +. Fun times. Can be a bit noisy when there is music. Long & narrow room. Bright, with a happy atmosphere.

Decided to come here because I pass by every so often on a walk. Brought my book, chilled outside, drank some nice Vanilla Porter (three cheers for craft beers; they also have your standards on tap as well), and had a massive but well-cooked burger. The menu is pretty standard. A lot of sandwiches(or paninis) of different varieties, a burger, a sirloin, salads, and a few seafood choices. They had some 80s rock on the radio...not too loud, but not too soft either...just loud enough you could hear it without the song ringing through your head like the Bells of Notre Dame. Definitely a place I can make into a pleasant reading nook during the day when I come home from work looking for a cool place to chill out.

Blue Moon (South Amboy’s Original Martini Bar) is a nicely furnished relaxed environment. Located at the corner of Henry St and South Broadway in South Amboy NJ; hands down the best in town! Great vibe, great music. Music enthusiasts frequent this bar as well as friendly patrons. They have live bands on select days, TouchTunes jukebox, lunch and dinner specials and great service! The food is outstanding and you can’t get a better NY Strip anywhere in the immediate area. Fresh butcher quality meat always fresh! Wednesday is HAPPY HOUR ALL DAY! The taps are the cleanest I’ve drank from and the beers are always crisp and cold! Martini menu is well developed and they can always make what ever you wish as well as traditional Tinis! The selection of spirits is impressive and a Large selection of Whiskeys Bourbons and Scotch round out the offerings. Well worth the trip in. Cheers!

Best bar in town!!!!! Friendly barstaff, nice atmosphere, CLEAN, incredible live music. Perhaps add a deep fryer so customers can order french fries and other pub grub. Can't believe it's not busier... best bar for miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday's here are awesome. They have all day happy hour and dinner specials. The food is always superb, homemade and you can tell the chefs put their heart in their work.
