This Restaurant is classified in the category of Korean restaurant.
More contemporary and up-scale restaurant in K-town. Service was excellent: knowledgeable and helpful. Korean beer (Hite) on tap, plus a good basic soju selection made for good easy drinking. The food we had (wings, and gimbap) were both flavorful, cooked perfectly, and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.
Awesome upscale bar in Manhattan. They even had Jai Ali my hometown beer. Best truffle mac and cheese I've ever had!
Great ambience, pretty decent Happy hour. Food is great and the barkeeps/servers are on point. Totally recommend.
Amazing!
Decent dishes with a cool environment. Don't go here if you want a peaceful conversation.
Trendy bar in Ktown with decent foods and drinks. Not the best in Ktwon, but then again not bad if you're looking for just a bit more upscale ambiance.
Totally awesome! Very trendy, modern and stylish. We sat at the bar and we had the best bartender ever, he was magnificent! I started with a Bailey's on the rocks. Then had the best lychee martini ever, perfectly made and served. Then tried a lychee rush, too good. Must go, won't regret it!
Everything's slow. The foods are not good even tho the price is high.
Only went for drinks-good wine and lychee martini, good ambience, slow service.
One of the better Korean restaurant I've been to food wise. Fantastic bar that I will visit later.
Good service, average food. Vibrant crowd
Sophisticated-looking restaurant-bar for casual dining, with creative Korean fusion dishes that excite the taste buds and a wide selection of drinks/cocktails to quench NYC's thirst -- all in the heart of Koreatown in Midtown Manhattan. Their food selection’s really great, and Sunday & Monday happy hour’s on 3pm til closing — 50% off on selected drinks! (Do bear with the music here; your DJ playlist most probably sounds better.)
I just stopped here for a drink while waiting for a reservation nearby, but ended up trying some food as well. The atmosphere is really nice, and the bartenders were very friendly. While it looks expensive, they have some great happy hour deals so I'd recommend trying those. As far as the food, tried the KFC and it was excellent. The flavors and spice level we're just right, and not too rbeadybor greasy. Next time I'll come back here as the destination rather than a stop over to try more items.
The food and drinks was one of the best in k Town
Kimchi fried rice
Really like this place. Good food and a nice selection of whiskey. Not your traditional Korean fare but still super flavorful. Love how big the bar is.
A nice contemporary quasi Korean influenced bar/restaurant. Sexy interior frequented by the after work happy hour crowd. Had haemul (seafood) pajagan and it was good.
Nice new place in Ktown. The staff was really nice and the drinks were great. The truffle fries were so good.
Terribly slow service. Incompetent staff. Good place to go if you want to waste your time and money.
Great customer service!
Friendly staff, lots of drinks
Nice vibe
I walked into Baro randomly. The bartender Diana was amazing. She knew how to make every drink I wanted and make them tasty. You could tell she was a mixologist of the highest level. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a drink after work or during lunch hour
Happy hour is great. Great place with great vibes
Great food and drinks. Perfect place for grabbing a drink with friends after work.
Nice to see a modern design looking bar in the ktown area. Good layout with plenty of seating. Decent bar selection, but would have been nicer to see higher end selections to match the look of the bar. The only drawback to me is the type of music played which you can hear at every ktown bar...the music doesn't match the ambiance.
Food is delicious!!! Manager is very friendly and fun to speak to.
Nice food , great staff
Liked this place before, but have to write this review because want to warn people about their HAPPY HOUR. My friend and I went yesterday afterwork for happy hour, the bar was not very crowded and the bartender intentionally ignored us because it was 10 minutes before the happy hour ends, we definitely ordered our beer before that but was told we had to pay full price because the bartender did not put our order in the computer until after 7:00 pm and the computer time stamps doesn't lie. Don't even mention the attitude, if I could give negative stars, I would.
Went here on a Sunday it was happy hour and it was nice to get good point of beer for $5. We over ordered but it was worth it. The truffle fries were surprisingly great, did not smell like usual truffle fries but exploded in truffle flavor upon eating them. We got the wings which were great. I got the jiagae (soldier style) and my wife got the pizza. I really liked the pizza, wife not so much, mostly because she doesn't like olives and I do. The jigae was awesome and is super filling for 13 great value. We will be coming back again.
Kimchi backs are brilliant; pork belly is delicious.
The food from 2 to 5 meniu is amaizing
Had the best time! Zino was very accommodating and really took care of our group. Would definitely recommend!
Had an eel role, and pork belly with kimchi. It was very good.
Good vibe, friendly staff and very extensive drink selection. Pricey for the area, but the place does have an upscale look. The space is flexible, you can go view sports, it can be a lounge, restaurant, date spot etc. They say you can bring your own wine and pay a corkage fee, but the servers didn’t know the fees. Will come again.
Go here with my friend all the time. The atmosphere is fantastic, food is great and the staff is super friendly. 10/10 would go again!
Avocado bomb!
Came here a week ago, very cozy friendly environment. Their customer service and their drinks are fantastic, will recommend friends here !
Very stylish decor, great ambiance and food. Definitely the gem of Koreatown. Try the signature martinis for sure!
I hate the lady bartender. She hates her job and no clue what she's doing.
Really really good cocktails and food, and the waiters are very friendly!! Must say it was the best bar I went to in NYC! Thanks guys for the amazing time I had there Big up 화이팅
Very trendy, food was great, decent prices, good ambiance.
Fantastic
Great food and ambiance!
The finest bar and Korean gastropub in the heart of Korea Town in Manhattan, New York. Wonderful service and amazingly delicious dishes. They offer Lunch Special everyday 12pm-3pm and I highly recommend you to try! The best Happy Hour spot in the area too - Everyday 3pm-7pm. Saewoo Jeon, fresh shrimp pancake was my favorite.
The place was very expensive. Food was looked good but tasted average. Small serving sizes for $$$$ prices. Won't be back.
My favorite happy hour in the entire city. Staff are always welcoming, they know my favorite drinks and the food is always delicious.
Hands down the best truffle fries
Never got to even try the food or drink...ordered a cocktail at the bar and was looking over the menu to order dinner... well when I got my drink the bartender asked for my card so I don’t leave without paying.. I told him I was going to order dinner and he said no I need to hold your card for the meal. I’ve never been asked for my card at a restaurant to order food. I paid the $19 mojito that I didn’t even touch and left. I would never give my business to a restaurant that dosent trust me to have a cocktail and eat dinner And think I’m going to leave and not pay.
Fun spot. Great chicken and beer combos
Good food, nice staff, great location. Get the beef mandoo
Good bar
Great place for lunch specials, too (apparently, they just started). Super delicious for your Korean bar food fix and well worth it! The gimbab + fried chicken was so good.
Great ambiance and the drinks are fairly priced
OVERPRICED
Was excited to try this place out after passing by it just before the opening. Had their Valentine's Special lunch set which includes a choice of appetizer and entree from the regular menu along with a special drink. The food was excellent and fully delivered. I would definitely come back again with a group to try out all the other snacks and dishes. My one criticism would be the appetizer and entree came out at the same time.
Food and drinks were good.
Great drinks
Delicious!
Korean gastro pub and cocktail lounge. Place looked like a lot of fun. The food as expected was solid.
Great whiskey selection and a good option from the karaoke and soju bars that litter Ktown
don't know about the food but the drinks were great!
Great vibes, calamari & Chum Churum
Food was great, wait staff a little young and un- professional. The gap in between lunch and dinner where you are unable to get Menu food from 3-5 is annoying, but the bar bites are tasty. With a street full of Korean dining, it may behoove Baro to re-think it strategy.
Excellent place to hang out after-hours. Great staff and extensive selection of cocktails and food make this a place to be.
Love this restaurant
Food and jalapeno margarita is absolutely delicious! Patcha, the bartender (hope I spell the name right) is great! Attentive, friendly, professional!
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. GREAT STAFF, GREAT DRINKS, GREAT COUNTER TOPS. LOVED IT. BARTENDER TOMMY WAS AMAZING AND MADE ME THE BEST MOJITO. PLEASE GO
Superb calamari... service is really slow during our visit.
Nice place, really busy during weekdays. They need entire party present at the restaurant to give you a table. The staff seems friendly to ones who speak the same language, I don’t so I had to stand at the door. Approx $20 per person for 1 drink, it’s expensive for the kind of service. All in all I would say go with someone who speaks the language ( Asian non Indian) the servers speak otherwise you will not be treated good. You need an id, and the person at the door is really nice! So extra star for him!
Great food. Bartender knows how to make real drinks (Peggy)
Great vibe, beautiful decor and amazingly friendly staff. The drinks are great, the food is fresh and service is prompt. A laid back place to hang after work or on the weekends.
Stumbled in here while walking back towards Grand Central. Very nice place and cool atmosphere. Didn't get to try the food but the bartenders were nice and friendly. Def have to come back.
Cute spot in the middle of ktown. We went on a Thursday around 6pm and were seated straight away. The place got busy around 7:30-8pm. The galbi was a little under-seasoned and I’m not sure why the prime rib had so little fat? The eel chap chae was tasty though. First time trying chap chae with eel and it worked quite well. Great drinks too. The bar is gorgeous and I’d come here for drinks + korean bar snacks with friends at the bar
Awesome ❤❤❤
Nice
Great spot we stumbled upon. After grabbing dinner nearby we wanted to grab a quick drink and stopped in here. The space was clean and open, service was great, and they offer a tiny cup of Korean snacks for free. I ordered a gin and tonic and it was made great. The crowd was very Korean which was cool since we were in Korea town, only a few non-Korean folks stopped by (us included). They even opened up talking our order in Korean.
I love this place. My husband and I accidentally stumbled upon it one day when we were just trolling through ktown. It's a spacious restaurant/bar with kind of a wine cellar/industrial decor. I really like it. It always attratcts a young trendy crowd but not too young so that it's annoying to be in there. We ordered the parmesan truffle fries and they're amazziinngggg. I always order truffle fries wherever I go so I can say that these are definitely one of the better ones. We also ordered the budha jjigae or army stew. That pretty decent there and it's not a huge portion so you don't have to worry about not finishing it.
Pretty decent and diverse food, but very pricey.
I liked this spot. Very cute bar in K-town, with chic decor. And they have MakGeolLi!
Great food and good ambience.
Nice chill vibe and good happy hour. Surprised there weren't more people when I went
Yumzzzzz!!$$!!!
It's a fun spot but mediocre food and drinks
bartender was not very attentive!!
On the edge of pricy, but I got a great dupbap that was huge and basically two meals. Pineapple drink I got was decent. Again, a little pricier but understandable for the area. The space itself was really nice, music was great, and apparently they have karaoke??? Could totally see myself going back.
Overpriced service at a snail speed not because it's toobusy, but because they're remarkably slow. Ambiance is good though.
Fancy
The bartenders and the staff here are all so sweet and friendly. They joke around and play and treat you in the nicest way ever. To me, they are the role model of how all bartenders should be.
Great service...Good and especially drinks are great
Really great cocktails and atmosphere! If you're in the mood for something fruity I strongly recommend the peach cocktail (forget of the name at the moment). The happy hour ends at 7, but includes wine and beer at a reasonable cost. The bartenders are friendly and quick. They interact enough to make it pleasant but balanced it well with enabling my friend and I to have a good conversation. The crowd can be a little overwhelming with tourists being so close to Herald Square. They offer some great Korean selections as well being in Korea Town!
Poor bar service
The place has a great vibe. A long bar table. Nice music and good amount of tables around for seating. The staff was welcoming though i felt there could have been more bartenders. Limited vegan options.
Very good atmosphere, Happy Hour lasts until 7pm. I had a great time with co-workers after work, currently on the table are two dozen $1 Oysters to start, Fried Dumplings and Truffle Fries while still to come was the 2 orders of Mac'n Chicken which is to die for. We also had a fresh Salmon platter and Happy Hour beers, the cost was reasonable and the food was delicious.
Loved the happy hour here. Good drinks and good dishes. Will be coming back whenever possible.
It is a chill bar for afterwork gathering. Happy hr bar foods were mostly korean food and moderately priced as well as the happy hr drinks. I went there on weekdays so it was not too crowded and loud. I have only ordered mocktails so far so cant comment on alcoholic drinks.
(Translated by Google) Great !!! (Original) Buenisimo !!!
Incredible food and services!!! If you are looking for something special, try spicy cocktail
Nice atmosphere, we were there on a Tuesday night so not to crowded. Service was friendly and prompt. Had a fun night thanks.
Great place to grab a drink in ktown, but nothing extraordinary. Convenient location.
Decent happy hour prices, helpful staff, good food. It gets a bit loud sometimes but I just come earlier and leave by the time it gets pack. Which is usually on Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm onward.
Beautiful bartenders, good drinks, great liquor selection, stylish atmosphere. Truffle mac n cheese delicious! Love it hereeeeeee
