REVIEWS OF Barn Joo 35 IN New Jersey

Aron Galonsky

Barn Joo 35 is a fantastic lunch choice in NYC, standing apart from the sea of sameness in the area. Are you tired of 16 dollar 'gastropub' burgers? Yet another Italian restaurant? One of the billion salad or 'boel' places popping up? Give a try to Barn Joo 35's Korean Fusion. Flavorful food choices at reasonable (by NYC standards) prices, and the service is positive, attentive and caring. Add in pleasant, dark wood decor and it is a no brainer for client lunch, or lunch with a friend.

Joe Wang

Excellent atmosphere, decor, ambiance. Food was delicious and reasonably priced for the area. One exception, do not get the Calamari, it's not well fried, and it's dusted with some strange chili salt.

Lydia Muna-Mangan

Vibrant and fun ambiance with good food. I have had more authentic Korean food but the food here is tasty and fresh. The service is great and attentive. I would recommend for somewhere fun to dine in the herald square area.

Charles Bouillon

A great restaurant in Korea town, mid range cost wise with outstanding food, buy a selection of dishes and share them. the flavors are incredible and the selection is wide ranging, I highly recommend this for groups and families alike. Don't miss it!

Adrian Branco Guichard

Great atmosphere and excellent food.

Jazzyfay

Great place to go with a group or on a date

Derek Longo

Delicious and authentic. Will be back

Andy Z

Great atmosphere; service and food, we got the two house specialties, will definitely come again to try other choices

Allison Stevens

Love their happy hour (5-7 Monday to Friday), drinks are tasty, nice variety of small apps which are great for sharing. We got in at 6 and we were seated right away, service is good, but it did take a little bit to get our drinks, we started getting our food before the last drink was served... great midtown happy hour option.

Ana-Maria Maxim

Delicious food, nothing else to say. Ceviche and bulgogi are worth trying. The moon creates a nice atmosphere and an intimate vibe.

Patricia Arnedo

I came here on a Wednesday night and was lucky enough to be seated right away! I had a delicious chicken hot pot, although there were many things on the menu I wanted to try. The food is great, but the atmosphere can be very loud and dark, it's hard to have a conversation with your dining partner. I was also seated close to the door and there was constantly a cold wind coming in. I definitely recommend going there at off peak hours and sitting far from the entrance.

Alina

We thought it was a great place from the reviews about food, to the location and service if you care about that kind of thing. I saw a picture of the cooked tiger fire roll and couldn't wait to go try it so we got the fried sushi roll, soy garlic wings and truffle fries. All dishes are delicious and served fast. We tried the Japchae-authentic noodles with beef given the waiters recommendation and I was set on having the wings with fries so we sent that back. We were told the dinner appetizer portions are smaller and for lunch the sushi roll is bigger. We also got the Sapporo beer and thought that was a better deal then getting a cocktail or wine. You get more for your buck with the beer at this place. The prices are fair for the location and we would definitely recommend returning for lunch. The ambiance was lovely and the bathrooms were clean. At around 7:30 dinner there was a bit of a wait of maybe 15-30 minutes. You know it's good when you see the tables turn over quickly while providing a genuinely carefull service. We really enjoyed celebrating my 30th birthday here. Definitely get the check in offer!

Mickael Chia

Authentic Korean food. Good service. Reasonable price.

Manish Shewaramani

Cosy place. Awesome food!!

Yotam Kadishay

Dinner was simply ok, nothing more. Fries with truffle oil were nice, but not addictive. Deep fried shrimps were nice and fresh but simply seasoned with sweet and spicy chilly spice. Dim some were disappointing, and same can be said about the sea food hot pot, which felt like a spicy frozen seafood mix in rice. Dessert felt like going to any restaurant in the 90’s, for a microwave lava cake, plus ice cream on top which was super hard to eat on the soft cake, and surprising crumbs which makes it impossible for you to blow and chill the microwave warm cake.

Kevin L

Let me say that this place is popular for a reason. The music is banging, staff are friendly, food and drinks are great, and honestly for New York it's not too expensive. My only minor complaint would be we put ourselves on the wait list through Yelp, but when we got there we still had to wait in line. It was no big deal since we were not super hungry, and the wait was worth it in my opinion.

Gus Shelton

Great place, great service!

Michael Irenski

Interesting Korean resturant with a bar. We all agreed to try the Korean tapas. Nice small portions and an ample list of items. Just see the pictures. Service was prompt and friendly. The place is small but, crowded on a rainy night. Prices are New York City .

aaron poster

Great service and great food! Thank you for Google reviews helped me find this gem!

James A. Falzone

Food was great, prices were standard, and the restaurant has a casual but elegant vibe to it. The fish hot pot was excellent. Definitely recommend

Steven Logan

Really great food and drinks. Jalepeño Margherita awesome. One downside was the shrimp ceviche. Rice balls were pretty bland.

Antonio Oliveira

Fast and tasty. Well located in Korea Town, this place is easy to find. Food was pretty tasty, from salads to the gyozas and sushi. There were good options regarding beer, including some traditional ones. The please was crowded when we arrived but in a few minutes we got our place. The service was fast, may be a little too much because we stayed in not more then 30min, what shortened our good experience.

Sara Conrath

We had soy garlic wings, crispy tofu. The vegetables in the Hwe bowl with rice, tuna and hot sauce, everything tasted very fresh and not at all greasy. A fun atmosphere and amazing food.

Morgan Kennedy

So yummy.... Get the glazed tofu, seafood pancake, fried chicken and a bottle of makgeoli to wash it down! Note that the cocktails are very sweet. Great place to share tapas style with friends. Ask the waiter for the most popular dishes if you are in a large group.

Dilip Ranjith

Excellent hot bowls (chicken and seafood). Very nice calamari. Friendly staff

Robert Godkin

Service was great and the place is nice and spacious, food was good for dinner They also have a nice variety of soju, the apple flavored one was really good

Bri an

Not bad. Good overall. Service was a bit slow.

Sara Lambert

Really cool place! Great food and good service. The crispy chicken buns were out of this world -- you need to order the buns if you go here. For main dishes we got the BBQ Chicken and the Bulgogi. Both were super tasty. The restaurant was packed when we went (~8:00pm on Saturday night). We had to wait about 15-20 minutes to get in, which isn't too bad. Expect to be seated very close to other diners.

A B

Chicken wings. Get them!!

Adam Matern

The good and drinks are so amazing!

Josh Dietrich

Beautiful atmosphere and amazing staff, that took special care of the different allergies at our table! A true experience in K-town. It is a popular spot, so be sure to set aside some time to wait if you're going during peak hours! I highly recommend it!

Kateryna Maltseva

Amazing! The food was absolutely delicious - beyond any expectations. The seafood ramen was very tasty. We also enjoyed the presentation - ramen was served in a kettle with burning fire under it.

Marion Le Saux

Food was excellente and came pretty fast. Staff were amazing. Be ready to wait a little it is a very popular place.

Cynthia Ng

Nice hangout spot in ktown. All the tapas were good and the forsynthia soju is a must try

Prof. A Molina

Barn Joo was great! Happy Hour is worth stopping by and enjoying. Had the Passion fruit Soju cocktail and it was a flavorful drink. The Elder Fashion was also wonderful.

James Park

Loved the food from this place. The meat for galbi was super soft!

Adam Daniels

Amazing recommendation from Teddy's Guide. We came here before couple of days and we ordered eel bibimbap, truffle friends and the chicken fondue which was so delicious and fresh! The food was phenomenal! The decor and overall aesthetic were really nice and I would describe it as quite trendy. I will recommend making a reservation because this place is always packed and without reservation you will wait a lot of time!

Aruem Shin

I think this is a good place for groups, especially if you're not Korean. All the dishes are good for sharing and food comes out without a long wait. I came here with my cousins for a holiday get-together, and we ordered 2 fries, 1 pancake, 1 kalbi, 1 truffle rice cakes, and 1 crunchy tofu. The food was alright, and it was on the sweeter side (as it is in most Korean restaurants). However, the dishes are small, so you have to order a lot if you want to be satisfied, which would mean more $. Overall, come here for a group night, but look elsewhere for better food and prices.

Jan Knies

Super yummy

Philip Wang

Nice Korean spin on a gastropub.

Alison B

Food was delicious, staff was attentive. The drinks were excellent, and the place was clean. Highly recommended.

Elizabeth Smith

Good is great if not expensive

BenJ N

Very good food, a bit spicy but everything is tasty and well prepared.

Remi O

Wanted to check out another dumpling place. The fried dumplings were delicious. The steamed dumplings were ok, not the greatest. Definitely order their truffle fries of you also want to get a side order.

Alejandra Limones

Very bad service. We were sitting in the bar and we ask for a drink, then we ask for some food and the bartender said we have to have a table if we want to eat. We go to the table and we wait a lot because the waitress didn't put attention to us. When finally she decide to come, I ordered a soup and I told her that I want to add some noodles to that soup and she said no we can do that. She didn't said let me ask the chef, she just say no. So we leave the place.

Robin Fox

Bibimbap was fresh and complex in flavor (seafood) and the hotpot (seafood as well) was incredible and very spicy . Japanese whisky was served (neat), and we closed with nap buns (beef) that capped off an incredible meal. Service was attentive, the hostess was friendly (even if stressed!) and the vibe was perfect. Will definitely return.

Celia Gubler

Not as good as I remember. Great atmosphere, tons of options, all pretty good. We got the special, which was a seafood hot pot with a variety of fishcakes. It's definitely an aquired taste, so I don't recommend it for everyone but good regardless. I could live without peanuts in the calamari and without the popcorn chicken, which was boring and dry.

Treid Reid

Great place. Staff was very nice and very accommodating. The food and drinks are great.

Ant Oine

Inside the place was really warm which was a little inconvenient and sooooo crowded. Overall food experience was great it’s some kind of tapas bar but with Korean small dishes. It’s very modern cuisine so not traditional Korean food

Giuseppe Passalacqua

Gret service, super friendly. Food made carefully with good presentation. The flavours were separate with right level of quantity and proportion. Really good! To be tested...

J Corbett

Bustling atmosphere, we sampled the tapas menu. Good service.

Agatha Moncion

I have the most amazing experience here the food was beyond Decilous the service the drinks highly recommend it I would go back in heart beat ❤️

Nathan Vann

great food in a very fast paced environment. not many vegan options but that didn't affect me. all the real food was wonderful. great cocktail menu. went on a date and while packed in it was dark enough to be intimate

Wayne Wu

Liked the cold seafood styled bibimbap. Definitely an interesting concept (think sashimi and bibimbap).

Danielle Kocal

Really delicious food! Close to Penn station.

Maggie Gannon

Had the most amazing time here! Incredible food and cocktails. The staff was excellent.

Jason Oermann

This place serves Korean food with a twist - I went here for lunch and the service was quick and pleasant!

qarross magus

We went there last night around 9.20pm cause me and i my friend wanted to try new Korean restaurant and we finally decided to try this place since it's say in maps they closed by 11pm which we think we have plenty of time, long story short we arrived and is really so disappointed cause the waitress tell us the last call in 10 minutes I've 10 minutes to order which is just 9.20 last call 9.30 for closing restaurant at 11pm?!!! come on I work in restaurant too I understand if she want to go home early but it doesn't make sense you rushing customers while is literally only 9.20 and at first we thought we gonna stay even tho she said Is last call cause we wanted to try,and yet another waitress came along and mention about the last call then we finally decided to leave cause is really unpleasant the way that they talk with they grumpy face and not make us feel welcome. I guess this place should update the business hour time if they really have to close that early. 11 a clock close at least half an hour early to do last call I'd understand but 1.5 hour before closing time is last call is just doesn't seem make sense to me. and yet she also mentioned "after you order u guys have 30-40 minutes to eat and leave cause the door would be literally close by 11 " what the hell!!I wish the owner get to bottom of this and train the attitude of the server who works there. definitely would even try to come back and try this place.

Jennifer Wong

Get the hot stone pot and wings

John Bustamante

Amazing. Churro ice cream. Steak bites and crispy chicken buns

Adam Rouse

Incredible food. Slightly innovative and of course very tasty. We will return soon!

Myke Alpha

Great ambiance, tasty food. Truffle fries guys... truffle fries.

Megan Moses

Really good rice bowl and steak.

Cindy Lim

Pretty good taste! Their hot pot is smaller than you usually see at other restaurants. Food portion seemed a little less at first but we felt pretty full.

Sha G.

Intimate Environment. Dinner Was Lovely. Enjoyed Dunganese Crab & Lo Mein

Brianna Covington

A coworker of mine brought me here and I absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and our server Jason was incredible. He was very informative and passionate. I am grateful I took his suggestions because the food we got was amazing. I will definitely be coming back!

Marc Serra Oller

Very good Koean restaurant. Ordered the special of the day, the Korean Army Stew (surprised it had a hot dog sausage in it!) and really liked it. I was recommended the place and I can now recommend it.

Don Crego

Food came out quick and was delicious. You may be seated very close to others based on space, but that is fairly common.

Soo Kang

Interesting take on Korean food, both modern and originals.

Nicholas Sierra

Excellent food and service. Open til late as well. Only flaw is that its a bit cramped. Tables are close enough to hear other peoples conversations~

Jason Lam

The tuna fish was really good

The One and only Pinky Pinky

Pros- 1.The decor and ambiance are the reason to come here. A pleasant date night place. 2.The food is good 3.Restaurant is clean 4.Service is friendly Cons 1.Not terribly authentic more like fusion Korean. (But I prefer it this way with fresh ingredients and no fish out of the Hudson River.)

kl ry

I did not enjoy myself. The service is cold and unwelcoming. The food is untasty. I got a quinoa rice which was burned (why not regular rice?) with dry tasteless chicken. I really can't understand all the positive reviews - take a look at the photos, it just looks bad. There are so many good places in NY, my recommendation is to find a better place to spend your money.

Hugo Latendresse

No reservations but they use the Yelp waitlist

Danielle DeGuglimo

What? I can't rate it 6 stars??? SO GOOD TRY EVERYTHING

Huang bigneko

Good for a quick bite, also get 10% discount for paying cash! But their dish is kinda smaller than ktown.

Hernan Maldonado

Delicious food: great flavor, beautiful presentation and wide variety of dishes. The service is hasty, as they are very busy and don't charge so much to spend time with customers. As most things in NYC that their service is a race against time. The place is very crowded on the first floor tables, and is very loud. The dishes we tried were refined versions of the original Korean dish and they keep the essence but at times I missed having the original food. Maybe this is just not the place for that food. Overall it is a decently priced restaurant that offers great food with an average service.

Megan Melbourne

Food wasn't great, lack of veg in hot stone bowl. Cocktails were the best part.. Wouldn't return for food.

Claire Mikelle

The food was delicious but throughout the meal, the servers tried to hurry us along, taking our menus before we ordered. After we had enjoyed appetizers, entrees, and were finishing the last of our beverages, of which we had ordered more than one each, we were asked to move to the bar to make room for reservations. It was less than 20 min after my date paid the check and we were simply talking and enjoying the last of our meal. They asked us to vacate the table. We had not been sitting there with an empty table for hours, I was still finishing a drink, we were not rowdy or disruptive and were merely enjoying the last few minutes of our time. They were very rude about it and said we were taking up their tables. I will never return!

B O

Wow this place is GOOD. Very clean restaurant with good vibe and the food is phenomenal. We had the bulgolgi hotpot and short ribs. AWESOME!

Frank Staples

Very good food and service.

Sangjin Mun

Visited here with my colleagues while staying in NY for several days. Fusion style foods were pretty impressive except for several too fusionlike foods. However overall experience was excellent.

Mikhail Kuznetsov

Awesome signature bowls and tiger roll. The ribs and fondue chicken are ok but of a small size.

David Parisi

So much loud! Headache once out of there

Jim Kelly

Fun Korean gastropub.

rosalie dennis

Food was so tasty. Crispy chicken wings delicious fried asparagus.

Anna Ha

Pretty and tasteful food! I’m Korean so I can be really picky with Korean-based restaurants, but I approve.

Eugene Kang

Great service and quality food. Would visit again.

Linh Nguyễn

Amazing happy hour $1 chicken wings and $6 soju cocktails. The garlic sauce was def my fav over hot n spicy

Kathleen D Moyer

Food was excellente and came pretty fast. Staff were amazing. Be ready to wait a little it is a very popular place.

Leroneb

Great hot pots! The desserts were delicious. Everything tasted awesome.

Steven Paris

This was our first experience with a Korean restaurant and we were very pleased. The Bulgogi was absolutely delicious. We also had the spicy pork tacos and that was very good as well. The service was outstanding.

Robert DeCaul

Love this spot. Try it. You’ll like it. Maybe love it.

Joe Batista

Food was delicious and at a fair price. Drinks were fun and refreshing. Try the fried dumplings.

David Krueger

OMG. Go here. Food was incredible.

Jayson Grace

Awesome food with a very reasonable happy hour. The staff, however, seemed to want us to finish our meal before we even started. They were great about making sure we ordered before the happy hour ended, but were a bit overenthusiastic about clearing our plates.

Astrid Lamas

Well played fusion of Korean food. Very quick service.

Karan Assudani

Came in here for lunch with a friend. Got a table immediately. Food and service was very solid. Had the spicy pork hot stone bowl. Reasonable pricing for the area and portions

Jack Zhang

Quite authentic Korean restaurant in Korean Town of New York. Small and crowded space, friendly staff. You also get 10% off if you pay cash.

Lounise Williams

Korean wings are great!

G S

Dinner was very average and expensive. 3 people - $90 without any drinks. Ordered the seafood rice soup which was salty and tasteless. The grilled pork was ok. Go elsewhere, not sure how the reviews are this high.

chris simek

Love everything here, never had a bad plate of food. Oh yeah - try the sparkling hibiscus lemonade, thank me later.

Vaibhav Gedigeri

This place never disappoints. Often when I am confused where to go, this is my go to place. A very cozy feel and oh boy their small plates are fantastic. Do try their deserts especially bread pudding which is a perfect way to end your meal.

Dmytro Kovalenko

Great place for Korean food. Despite that it was completely packed they managed pretty fast. And food was great. Thank you guys.

Ayman Tarabishy

Small and crowded but Excellent food

AJ B

Sorry but nothing seemed too special for me here. No complaints on the service but the food is just mediocre.

Vikas Venugopal

This place is great whether you're out on a date at 7 or need food at 10:30. The food is fantastic and the cocktails are great too. All around a great place with great atmosphere as well. Couldn't recommend more.

Patricia Willion

Such a cute spot! I love Asian Fusion to begin with, and this place definitely does it right. The menu covers every Korean Fusion craving you could want. Service was mediocre and there's almost always a line, but the food is worth the wait! We ordered the Truffle Fries, Wings in garlic soy, Sashimi Salad, and Spicy Pork with a side of rice. I highly recommend the fries and wings - perfectly seasoned and so flavorful. The sashimi salad was mediocre, as it was a bit oily and not extremely refreshing like I'd expect. The spicy pork was good, but a bit overpriced. I felt like I could've gotten the same thing (or better) at a more traditional Korean restaurant. With that being said, I primarily came to Barn Joo for the fun, lively ambiance so I'm not complaining! Overall, a great place for dinner and drinks. Highly recommend!

Tom Chang

In New York for quick three days trip, find the restaurant on Yelp so went to check it out. It was great, made reservation through yelp app, made it really easy. My wife and I both order hot stones bowl, and we really enjoy it. Also had the crispy tofu, it was different but delicious! The rice itself is not too heavy on the taste, just right. If you need town and want some Korean food, should pay a visit for sure!

Joey Lee

Surprisingly filling Korean tapas, sharing dishes and cocktails. The truffle rice cake and aloe elixir were very good.

Rain Rues

Got the eel bowl combo. The bowl was great, salad was pretty good, but miso soup was pretty bland.

Magno Rocha silva

Love this place!!! All the staff are amazing!!!! Good price for the quality

Deborah Coligado

Delicious food, fast service, sharable bites, just enough food to fill you up without the worry of leftovers when traveling!

Sylvia Jimenez

Cool little spot with tasty menu items. Tried a few happy hour selections and some sushi rolls. Wings were really good, nice and crispy! Cheesecake was also a nice way to finish our meal.

Olga Kovalenko

Long wait on Saturday evening, but food was great!

Michael Pizza

First time here. Food was and service was excellent. Will definitely come back.

Dennis Han

Great restaurant with wonderful food and vibe. Awesome and friendly staff! Their bread pudding dessert is especially good.

Jenni Finch

The best for quick and excellent Korean food (cocktails are good too)

Ilia Malkovitch

Too overpriced. Bi bim bop is tiny and nothing in it but meat and rice. Go two more blocks to get great bi bim bop with lots of extras for cheaper

Majeda Begum

BJ is always a good choice for me during lunch time. They get super busy but the service is always fast and efficient, so the wait time is quite short. Tips - for lunch time, get there past 1 as it settles a bit more and wait time is shorter. They have a good variety of Korean inspired dishes and everything I've tried so far was a great. Their seafood ramen is very flavorful and taste very "seafoody". A must for me and my husband is their Tuna Mayo, its always refreshing and delicious. Their hot stone bowls have an added bonus of fried quinoa mixed in with the rice so it add a nice crunch in every bite. My husband always goes for the Farmer's meal with the beef and it's very good. So far we've like everything on their menus. We try to go at least once a month as it's close to both our workplace.

Janice Mandry

This Korean tapas place was amazing!!! I loooove the soy garlic wings, pork belly nachos and my passion fruit white sangria.

Clarence Tso

Good food, really liked the pork belly nachos.

Madeline Seto

Food 4/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Drinks 5/5 Service 4/5 Food was pretty good and I liked the atmosphere. However, for the price the portions are extremely skimpy. I expected a bit more for my moneys worth. I believe entrees were around 15~ ish but you only get a bit of rice and meat, while if you went to Koreatown and got the same thing it would be double the size. I liked the food but I felt slightly ripped off. Drinks were tasty. Service was ok. Overall, good but I wouldn’t come back because of the portion/value. If I’m going to pay approx 60 I should be full.

Rebecca Liu

Very very busy restaurant! Ordered the seafood ramen hotpot, spicy pork and garlic soy sauce wings. Seafood ramen is good, recommend Spicy pork, not recommend, too many sauces. Garlic wings, best of three, crispy and crunchy, reminded me of the garlic fried tofu that my grandma used to make for me. Deduct 1 point, because the restroom is really really messy and disgusting.

Daniel Nilsson

A (for us) hidden jewel. We lived a week next door and noticed this place our last evening in NY. And this became a top food experience to take with us home. Excellent food and very friendly staff!

Ivan V

Spot is

Cenk Dölek

Great Korean food is here! Delicious!

Jonathan Chang

Actually 3.5 but I can't seem to do half. Ambience was great. Staff was fast and efficient. Drinks were excellent. The red apple sangria and rose sangria were amazing and the beer was excellent. The food was the reason I deducted points. We got tapas dishes mostly. My fav was the fried tiger roll was the best, followed by the pork belly nachos. The escargot was bland and I felt the dish didn't flow well. The Calamari with nuts also didn't work for me as it probably could've been salted more and perhaps even a different batter as it did not have much flavor. The best dish was the soft shell crab.

Anthony Kilkenny

Tapas! Chili shrimp, popcorn chicken, truffle fries - mmmm!

Victor C

Nice fusion Korean food. Wings were well cooked and flavorful. Crispy tofu had an excellent crust and would be awesome if it was soft tofu instead of firm. Escargot was a bit on the chewy side, however the side salad was excellent. Uni paella, was good and had some nice crispy rice. Service was excellent and cucumber soju very tasty. Bread pudding was fantastic!!

Rangsey Keo

The food was really good, but I felt it was a little overpriced. It came up to about $70 each for my group of 4 and I wasn't even stuffed. The service was great, but the wait time was long. At least if they said 40min to 1hr wait, it really was within that time frame. The app/website that shows you your wait queue was handy and the text/call when your table was nearly ready was helpful.

Aria Macabre

Love this place. Food service and atmosphere is always great. I love the decor as well. Food tastes really good and the drinks are awesome too and so is the dessert! highly recommend this restaurant! I go here very often and I recommend it to all my friends from out of town!

Squishy Mellow

Very nice Korea place

Verity Skinner

This place was tasty with very kind servers. They were quick to seat us, and the food was served fresh within a few minutes of ordering. We had a couple of cocktails, two shots of soju, spicy chicken tacos, crunchy tofu, bulgogi hot stone, and vegetarian japchae. Vegetarian friendly, which is why we chose this restaurant. Thanks for the overall great experience!

Becker McGuire

Korean tapas.. Ordered Nacho Belly, soft shell crab, truffle rice cake cheese, and tiger roll and they were all so good.

Ginger Gower

Awesome food with a very reasonable happy hour. The staff, however, seemed to want us to finish our meal before we even started. They were great about making sure we ordered before the happy hour ended, but were a bit overenthusiastic about clearing our plates.

Mark McCormack

We were treated very well by the staff in this place and the food was really good. I personally loved the fried chicken. I think these little asian spots do fried chicken right. We tried a bit of everything and it was all very good. Plus the name is fun.

Bodhi Ganguli

Always a great time!

Jarred Cornette

Great atmosphere, very good food, fast service. Tables are a little small, but it's the city, what do you expect? 10/10 every time.

Mark Coleman

Good Korean BBQ, service was good.

Ajchariya Nardella

Modern Korean cuisine

Ted Mielczarek

Fantastic food! The bulgogi tacos were wonderful as were the BBQ chicken buns.

Carlo Irigoyen

Amazing food! Everything was delicious from the dumplings to the fried chicken. We are half the menu while there.

Amber Beals

It was very busy inside, and there were way too many tables to accommodate everyone so I felt a little cramped. But the food was good and quick.

Otis DuPont

My favorite Korean spot now

Chris Maddox

The multiple taco orders all have to be one type. Come on my dudes, it’s 2019. We have the technology!

C Brown

Good Korean food. Always crowded, the restaurant is small and a bit loud.

Evan Gilbert

So good didn't even get a picture! Quick dinner date with the fiance, she yelped it, and it had one of the best bibimbap's around and she was craving it so off we went. The hot stone bowl bulgolgi bowl satisfied her needs perfectly. I opted for the tapas, and was full with just two; the fried tiger roll (hadn't had sushi in a while and this was AMAZING/hit all the spots) and the wings, wish I could have split the flavors but the soy garlic was really good. Washed it all down with two draft Sapporo's. Cool music vibes, awesome atmosphere (we sat upstairs and they had a cool giant moon up there), and good service (seated in 5 minutes despite the dinner rush in midtown).

Mark Wendell

Super busy, loud, fun place for some great food. Staff is friendly and quick.

Ellie Michaelis

Great to share with good friends!

Jeff Tsang

Word is that the best Korean restos aren't actually in Korean Town, but around it. Barn Joo 35 is one of those restaurants that make this consensus true. The usual Korean-fare are all there, but much of them come with a pleasant twist.

Todd Randlett

Excellent food. Service was a little slow, but the food was definitely worth the wait.

Lydia Irving

Really delicious small plates and easy to share. It gets really busy and no reservations do best to get there early.

Peter Bang

Don’t waste your money on the Korean seafood pancake. Simply the worst dish. The pancake mix cannot be right because you can only taste flour and it is unappealingly bland.

Daniel Ray

This was a decent Korean BBQ place. The truffle fries were the star. I tried the BBQ chicken. It was good not great, and a small portion for the $18 cost.

Shatner Pierre

Great food and atmosphere make sure to get the truffle fries and eat it before it before it gets cold.

Joe Diaz

Food is maybe 4 stars, but the kiddie-sized mini tables for 2 don't allow enough space to serve all the small plates at once. There was literally no room to place my napkin anywhere. I would've enjoyed the food more if I wasn't constantly trying to avoid knocking over my water glass. They should either stagger the dishes, or upgrade to adult table sizes.

william lee

Excellent wings, fries and omurice
