Unless you pay attention to where you're at and/or going, you may just pass right by BAP - the front of the establishment doesn't grab your attention right away. But the design of the restaurant front is quite well done tbh. The interior is somewhat dark - like a decent soju joint - but overall well done with tasteful, if not humourous, decorative accents and point decor. The best part of the restaurant was the friendly staff. They were always polite, knowledgeable, and prompt. Service with a smile seems to the norm at BAP, a rarety in NYC. The food, however, was average. The kimchi bibimbop was a bit too salty, and the overall taste and flavor of the other dishes were, again, average. The free glass of Hite, if you post 2 photos on Instagram with hashtags, was nice. Reckon I may drop by if I were hungry for Korean food and within a block of BAP. Otherwise, I'd go elsewhere. Not a bad place. I just wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

I rarely post reviews but BAP midtown is one of the best and deserves acclaim b/c of its decor, staff, and food. My favorite dish is the Korean BBQ Kalbi- its sweet, tender, filling, and comes with a ton of sides- enough for me and my friend to split. Highly recommended!

I have found my new favorite spot. I had my very first meal there tonight and I must say I wasn't disappointed. Everyone was very nice and friendly and made sure I knew what I was ordering. The aesthetics of the place were great as well, nothing over the top (which I personally think is a good thing) but enough to get you looking around. The staff was great helpful and fun. I felt more like I was around friends than being served by them. As for the food it is amazing I can't wait till the entire menu is ready for me to try. I will be visiting quite often! Congrats and best of luck I'll bring everyone I know :)

Did you ever walk into a restaurant where you felt welcomed the second you arrived? That's exactly what happened to us recently when we walked into Bap for lunch. We were promptly shown to our table and given the lunch menu. Our server Kevin was FANTASTIC!!! He guided us through the menu where we ordered the bibimbap and the bulgogi. Both were seriously delicious! The banchan served were also great. This little place is is a "find", and we're looking forward to coming back and having dinner here to explore a lot more of the menu. When you come, ask for Kevin to take care of you- he just makes your experience here so welcome and warm... Highly recommended!

I can’t believe the rating here. My boyfriend and I were super excited even BEFORE you guys opened bc there is no Korean places around here. We ordered with such excitement and was very disappointed. We got seafood pancake, it was not edible.

Durchgefroren und ausgehungert würden wir gleich mit einem heißen Tee begrüßt. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten einen kimchi Pfannkuchen, hot stone bibimbap und japchae mit Pilzen. Zusätzlich bekommt man 4 kleine schalen mit kimchi ... Die Portionen machen gut satt. Tee wurde laufend nachgeschenkt. Man sitzt an Tischen die dich durch eine Trennwand zu den Nachbarn abschirmt. Im Tisch befindet sich eine Kochplatte. Es läuft Chart Musik. Ich persönlich mag keine Klimaanlagen somit leider ein kleiner Punktabzug. Dafür war es auf der Toilette ( sauber ) schön warm

My husband and I came here after the Red Sox game. We ordered the pork dumplings, short rib buns, and beef bulgogi. Everything was so delicious. We are huge fans of bulgogi and this one was the best we have ever had. Very spacious inside and friendly staff. Would definitely go back and try different things.

Overpriced and mediocre food compared to other kbbq experiences. Although they have amazing staff and service. My girlfriend dropped her chopsticks and they had new ones for her before they even touched the floor. Don't get the meat for 3-4 people it will let you down. If you get bibimbap get beef.

You get tea served right after the entry. +++ Good korean kitchen. Very friendly helpful staff. Nice atmosphere but little too loud chart music playing. We (2p) shared a bibimbap, kimchi pancake and a japchae. Left the restaurant happy and strengthened for the rest of the day. Thank you and see you soon.

Best Korean BBQ in town! Friendly and welcoming stuff. They have Korean Beer -40% so drink responsibly! Try it out, I recomend it.
