A little hard to find - they're in a side alley and the restaurant is in a basement. But the decor is nice and it's always busy which is a good thing! When you go down the stairs and take a right through the door, before you take a left into the dining area, the take-out area is right there but hidden behind some plants. Food is decent. The crispy chicken pad Thai is good - would definitely recommend the crispy chicken. The breading is perfect and actually crispy while the chicken cutlet is tender and not dry. The noodles were okay but nothing mind blowing.

A bit of a speakeasy, hidden out of the way gem. When you find this cozy little restaurant down the alley and down the stairs, you might need to channel your inner Indiana Jones, but then you discover that the place is packed so it can't be that hidden. Right next door to Dartmouth, reasonably priced and tasty, of course, it was packed with college students on the Thursday night we dined before a show at the HOP. We enjoy the dishes we ordered. The only catch was we had to remind the waitress about our appetizer order but it was her first night. No big deal. Excellent food with a sense of adventure.

My favorite restaurant in Hanover! I've been eating here for 2 years, and the staff, service, and taste have been consistently amazing. The food is delicious, comes out really fast, and is well priced. Some favorites include the Pad Kee Mao, Red Curry, and Basil Fried Rice. This place isn't just a great food place 'for Hanover' - it's a great place period! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in or near the Hanover area!

We are very fond of this restaurant and go here as much as we can. The food is amazing, I especially like the seafood dishes. Be careful with some of the hot, spicy dishes as they can be overwhelming if you are not used to the heat. We did order take out recently and had a minor issue, just make sure you have everything when you pickup. We had some spring rolls left behind but they did credit us for them, although the summer spring rolls are fantastic with the peanut sauce so I sorely missed them when I got home to eat. Overall, this is bar none my favorite restaurant in Hanover. To the owners, I would love to see a more extensive variety of craft beers though (hint, hint)...

I'm not a huge fan of Thai, but it is pretty well-made food. The interior is cool, but a bit loud and cramped. The service was fine too. Also, watch your head on the lights, they have them really low and near walkways.

We tried this spot for dinner on a Friday evening and I'm sorry to say I was less than impressed. We ordered appetizers and main courses, but everything came out all at once, meaning the main course sat and got cold while we ate the first course. I adore Thai food, but found the offerings here bland and underseasoned in general, and the shrimp in the dish I ordered varied from somewhat undercooked to tough and chewy. The staff was very nice, but the food was less than stellar.

I am from Massachusetts and a group of us go to New Hampshire twice a year on a golf trip we are always looking for a good restaurant One of the guy’s wanted to find a Thai place, we looked and asked around and found three Thai places in the center of Hanover New Hampshire home of Dartmouth College Who would have guessed that many Thai restaurants in a small town, We were told hands down Tuk Tuk Thai Cuisine was the place to go. So we went there after golf on Saturday afternoon and it was awesome we have a mix of appetizers, soups and the best Pad Thai I have ever had, one of the guy’s had the salmon special with an avocado sauce, he just about licked the plate. For the next 4 days we went there after golf we couldn’t get enough of the place the food is just so flavorful and fresh I tried something different each time I had gone there and wasn't disappointed. Everything on the menu is delicious and the service is exceptional and the food is outstanding, On our last day there we met the owner her name is Tuk she was so nice and thank us for dinning there she gave us a to go bag of appetizers for the ride home I would recommend this as my favorite Thai food restaurant by far, We can’t wait to get back there, September can’t come fast enough.

The food here is delicious. The interior is cozy and generally busy. I'm not sure if the food is authentic or not as I have not had "real" Thai food (that is, in Thailand), but most people I know in this area like this place, so that's a good sign. The only reason this review is not a 5 star is because I recently went there with two other people and all of us got sick from their chicken. We had chicken in two of our dishes and some pieces tasted slightly off. On hindsight we should have stopped eating it, but it wasn't so bad that would make us immediately think that it's not fresh anymore. It happens.

I haven’t had a good experience here at all other than the first time. The last time I accidentally ordered something and called to get it switched for the right and pay the different and I was yelled at first of all and they also said they can’t cook for me again? That they would have to throw that away and cook another order for me and followed by that she also hung up on me and refused to give me a refund.

I frequent Tuk Tuk for lunch, and have taken visitors there when walking around Hanover. It is the best Thai food around, which is actually quite the compliment.As far as a takeout lunch goes, this place is tough to beat; however, it only gets four stars because of the inconsistent service.

The service is extremely slow, but you won't find better Thai food within 100 miles. The staff is pleasant and speaks just enough English to get by. It's a kind of authentic that's hard to find in gentrified Hanover. We started with the vegetable dumplings, which don't look anything like dumplings, and are packed with flavor. We also shared fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce. I had the deliciously spicy Tom Yum soup, guaranteed to knock a cold right out of you. As an entree, I had the Vegetable Red Curry and there wasn't a bite left. I will definitely will back with friends and family in the near future!

The disproportionate ratios of sweet and sour ingredients. Some ingredients were overcooked and mushy, some were undercooked and hard. The prices did not match the quality of the dishes. But since I like spicy dishes, the Tom Yum Noodle Soup was pretty good. The noodles were cooked very well and there was a lot of meat.

Although there was a 15 minute wait for us, it was worth it. The pad see ew was delicious! A tad salty, but really good. The crab fried rice was also delicious. The prices were very reasonable too. Although we were seated at an odd corner table for two next to the fireplace, we didn't mind. I'm quite picky about Asian cuisines and Tuk Tuk Thai is a true gem of a restaurant. It's also authentic Thai. I heard the staff and kitchen speaking in Thai.

The space is very small and compact, allowing this restaurant to easily become noisy, but the food really makes up for that. We ordered three different dishes from the “Noodles” category, and they were all delicious and large! Our waiter checked on us multiple times throughout our meals and was very friendly.

I was going to go to Tuk Tuk tonight for the first time and was so excited. I got online to check out the reviews but when I saw how the owner responded to people who gave a one star review I was so turned off the restaurant. Instead of making the issues right, acknowledging the dilemma or apologizing, people got spoken to in a way no owner should ever speak to a customer. I can't give Tuk Tuk my business after reading that.

This is a standout Asian restaurant in the Upper Valley. The food is fresh, the staff are kind, and the place seems to be run by a family. The basement location is a little awkward, but the acoustics are ok (not too loud) considering the steel ceiling. Don't expect to get cel service while in the restaurant! The curries are my favorite dishes here, especially the mango curry which has chicken and shrimp in a mix of vegetables and pineapple and mango. My dad orders Cashew Duck, which is delicious and appears to be somewhat of a specialty for the chef. If you like your food very spicy, the chef can accommodate you, but it may take a few visits before the waitstaff will believe that you really want "Thai hot" and put the order in that way for you.

Very good Thai food! The curry was delicious. I’ve had better Pad Thai else where but it is still tasty here. The seating area is nice and open but some of the table are really close together. There is also another seating area that is separated from the main area where the tables are even closer together and it is uncomfortable to sit back there. Overall a good place for Thai food.

Its a cool underground, hole in the wall place in a small town. I forgot what I got but it had chicken in it. It was super flavorful and their dessert is good. I highly recommend it! Its a bit hidden so you need to look for it but once youre there it smells amazing!

REALLY good Thai food! However, customer service could use some work, and that is why I am only giving 3 stars instead of 5. I just tried calling in an order for take out on a Monday night- Tuk Tuk Thai hung up on me on the first 2 attempts, and on the 3rd they finally answered, explained they were busy, and left the phone on the counter and never got back to me. I only wanted to order a chicken pad thai to go, it was a bummer that I couldn't get through. Edit: based on the owner's extremely rude reply, I do not plan on eating here again, despite the good food. Customer always comes first, an apology goes a long way!!!

We eat at Tuk Tuk often, it's actually my favorite place. We enjoed almost every dish we've tried . If we didn't like it, it's not because of the quality of the food, it's our tastebuds. One thing I would say to clarify if you like spicy food is their "level" of hot scale. I love the heat in the Pad Char and thought that was the hottest they made. When I ordered another dish and asked for it hot, the waitress asked me if I meant Thai hot. I said yes, I could only eat one bite it was so spicy it took my breath away! So make sure you understand their spice levels before ordering Thai Hot!!

I don't usually gush, but OMG, this was some of the best food we've had in years! I've even told co-workers to go there, and we live 5 hours away! It was lively and there wasn't much elbow room, but the service was very friendly and fairly quick. The food was brilliant! We ordered some seafood dishes, and it was incredibly flavorful. I can't say enough. Go try it, and watch the spiciness :)

My favourite Thai restaurant in Hanover! The Currys are especially good. The lunch deal isn't good, though. You pay about 75% the price and get half as much food. Dinner prices are very reasonable. My only complaint is the massive TV behind the bar that is in clear view of half the restaurant.

I came to eat last night with a few friends. We had the avocado curry, crispy duck, spicy basil salmon. For appetizers we had the money bags, Scallions on pancakes and the wings. The servers were nice, the food was very delicious and the portion sizes were decent and matched the prices which were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for authentic ethnic food in the area.

Everything here is fine except the manager's RACIST words to me. You can watch the 10 sec video in the Photos section if you do not believe me. Also you can search it up on youtube. I told the manager calmly about my messed up order. Then, she blamed me for messing up the order and she evidently lost her cool as in the video. The Tuk Tuk manager talked to me in a RACIST and THREATENING way after she messed up my order. Then I walked out. Reply to owner's response: Regardless, the owner's bigoted words in the video sound evidently racist and don't need to be explained. And in no circumstance can any employee, especially an owner, talk like that to a customer.

Hey dudes, I'm from California, and there's nothing in this world that I enjoy more than a choice wave. So let me tell you my bros, this place is making waves in the Upper Valley. My friend ordered some food near closing time, and when we arrived to pick it up we discovered that we had actually called the wrong place! Totally lame of us! Anyway, the customer service at this little establishment is totally tubular, and they made us our food anyway, even though it was after closing time. Not only did they get us our food at top speed, but it was some tasty, tasty eats. The red curry with chicken is some totally mad gnosh. I give this place 5 choice waves out of 5.

Food was delicious. But unbelievably horrible service. The lady who served us was so unhappy to see customers coming. No smile or politeness and was very very rude. She didn’t even ask what we wanted to drink and decided to just give us water without any ice. I would not recommend going there if you want to enjoy your meal in a pleasant mood. I’m surprised about higher ratings, maybe because of the college town and the lack of other Asian restaurants.

More like Yuck Yuck. A lot of locals say this is great food but then follow it with “well its good for the area”. They just haven’t been around. There are better Thai joints locally than this place. The atmosphere is ok, service is dreadful, and we went when it was slow. I travel all over the states for work and this is no where near the best Thai food I’ve had. “Tens of thousands”, yeah lol.

Tuk tuk Thai is a really tasty spot in Dartmouth just off the main road. It’s a pleasant descent into the subterranean restaurant. I had the Penang curry, which was superb, but is hot. One member of my party got the drunken noodle, which was good, and the other got crab fried rice. I think the Penang won out, and I wild certainly get it again. Reasonable prices. I highly recommend.
