Great burgers. Do some jaw stretching exercises before ordering because they're huge but so good. I got one with onion rings bacon and BBQ. Fries were also good, cooked crisp outside soft inside. Boyfriend's chili with cornbread was good from what little taste he allowed. Tasty chili, nice moist cornbread. Tons of menu choices. Lots of things sounded good, I'll go back for sure.

Today not so good. Ask before you buy drinks. 6$ wine was 9$. Shots depend on your server. Doubles are cheaper than 2 singles depending on which server you have. On the Plus side....they are nice people.

Went to this place for a bite to eat one night, as it's the only option other than McDonalds and Subway after 2pm. Service was quick and prices were fair. Food was great, but for three chicken fingers and side of fries, it wasn't worth the $9.99 tab. I've also had their Western BBQ chicken sandwich, Volcano Burger, Turkey Trainwreck, Turkey Club, Beef Chili, and a salad. Everything’s worth trying. Their spicy ketchup is something to definitely try if you're into that. Will continue going.

nothing too fancy here, in half of an old grocery store BUT service was pleasant and helpful and the food was great, i had the breakfast burger, ate only half, great burger with ham and egg, plus fried onions and i had the small garden salad which was very good, wife had the rachael, also got to bring home half , and it was great too, also the corn chowder which was a special and had sort of a different flavor so not a hit, but everything else was!! daughter had the apple something sandwich, also very good....did i say nice beer selection wan we had 2 reasonably priced good martinis!!! noted they also have music some evenings... like this place!!!

I will make it a point to return again and again fantastik.the owner was truly a gentlemen and when a mistake was made on the check the way he handled it is something seldom seen in the food service industry. We've never had a bad meal in the several times we've eaten there or taken it home. The Pig Pen is a favorite among the men in the house and I usually get a burger or a chicken finger basket. Huge sandwiches and portions, friendly atmosphere and prompt, pleasant service makes this a "Local" favorite.

The food was excellent. I cannot give it five stars because it was so so loud. They really need to invest in some sound dampening ceiling tiles or something. But it was a very busy time, and if I were to visit at a quieter time I think that I would have absolutely loved it.

It was OK. I should have known better than to order a salad (caprese). It wasn't anything special. The iced tea was horrid. We did get a side of fries and they were very good. My companion had a Caesar salad that the fried chicken was really good on, but otherwise unremarkable. The service was a little slow, but they were pretty busy and it was the lunch hour. The server only remembered after we'd paid that we'd requested separate checks.

This was a great find. We were driving towards Burlington from Portland and were hungry. I checked Google while my wife was driving and since we were 10 minutes away we took a quick detour. The food was excellent, our server prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere. Off the beaten trail, The Local is a great place to stop for a bite. And if you like micro brew, check it out.

Stumbled upon this place while trying to find a place for dinner - completely by accident. A great selection of homemade sandwiches and craft beers with fantastic service. Nobody seemed to mind that the AC not working too well on our visit, including us! Worth a visit for those in the area or a stop for those driving through.

I cannot say enough great things about this establishment. I am yet to meet an employee I don't like. Limited food, but every food option is quality flavoring and great portions, fantastic value. Good variety for the bar, they have trivia nights, jukebox and I'm sure other interactive evenings for their customers that I don't know about. But this place is never a let down for us.

It has a lot of potential but suffers from a few things: Prices are very high. We paid $10 for a small dish of Mac and Cheese. No one (staff) really new what they were doing, we were not sure if they had a wait staff or we had to order at the bar. The decor needs some help. It is clean but not stylish to attract a return crowd. The bar looks good and has potential but the food is overpriced for what you get. Remember this is a small town. We want large portion comfort food at good prices.

Delicious and unique pub fare. We picked this on a whim while traveling north, and were incredibly impressed. The bacon bouquet was delicious, sweet with a spicy kick. The trifecta (a 3 hotdog dish) was well executed, hearty and delicious. It showcased the homemade pulled pork which is a must try.

See stopped at The Local on the way to Burlington, VT, and im so glad we did. It's a small restaurant with easy access to the I-89. The food was reasonable, service was quick and the menu was pretty extensive. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised to see an extensive veggie menu including some vegan options! I tried their Veggie Volcano burger with garlic parmesan fries which was delicious, and we also order the hot dog platter with onion rings! Worth a stop if you're driving by

Was looking for a local place to eat lunch on the way back to MA from NH and The Local fit that bill. Nothing fancy inside, but has a lot of local character that makes it casual. The food was great - we had burgers, Buffalo chicken, clam chowder (with lots of added bacon!). Everything was great. The service was friendly and quick. They had a number of local beers on tap. I didn't try any, but nice to have the option. If you are looking for a place to grab lunch off of 89 and don't want any of the standard just off the exit restaurants - travel the extra few minutes and stop here - soooo much better - I'm glad we found this local place.
