After having our plans cancelled elsewhere, more than 15 adults and a couple kids showed up with no prior warning. We were seated promptly, in the a large area together. The staff was willing to try multiple arrangements (the first was perfect!) and incredibly friendly. And the food! Phenomenal experience!!

A bit pricey, but the portions are adequate with a decent variety of dishes. Bison meatballs appetizer, caramelized scallops and the smoked half chicken were on our menu ticket without any regrets. I need to ask, why do no restaurants have stuffed mushrooms as appetizers?

Our only complaint was the website was not up-to-date. We had planned and been excited about menu options on the website but found those options unavailable. Beyond that, the service, ambiance and food were all excellent. We had apps to dessert and not a complaint. One of the website drinks was not on the menu but the bar made it anyway. I suspect the website difference is due to an often changing menu which makes sense for a farm to table place and I'm happy when restaurants mix it up regularly; it was just a little disappointing. Not enough to lose any stars as the food was so good. You should go and not just for special events. Side note: in the entrance they have 2 TVs set up monitoring the kitchen which I found too interesting and a little frightening waiting to see if something food-TVish happens... kudos to their courage and transparency. Oh, they now take reservations (also different from what site said). Go ahead, make one now!

Excellent food and service. Their Sunday brunch is amazing. The only thing is tgat their beef on the brunch is way too salty. We literally had to dip the meat in water to rinse off some of the salt. Everything else was very good

I enjoyed my dinner. Fois gras was a very generous portion and well prepared. Caramelized scallops were served in a sweet sauce and tasty. Other people in our party had positive things to say about gumbo. The view out of the windows is very nice, you can see rapids in the river. The seating was comfortable and a good fit for a large party. Wait staff was attentive and prompt.

Loved the atmosphere of the old mill building. Husband actually worked here when it was Cotts Soda. Everything nice and new, a bit too much black decor. Service was great, had a table overlooking the river. Ordered a seafood gumbo, one of my favorites. Meal was tasteless, seafood overcooked. For one of the more expensive meals, this was a great disappointment. Can't even tell you what kind of sause it was in, a grayish something. Ate some and took the rest home and threw out. Will try again, but will order something else. Hope its better.

This was not our first time, and we usually rate it a 5. We had a table of 6 of which 4 of our friends were first time diners. The service was very good, and the choices plentiful and delicious. However, the prime rib was tough and chewy today. Also one of the new guest ordered the Bloody Mary and thought there was too much horseradish, and it was also too chunky for the straw. It made it too much work to enjoy the drink. He complained, and the server offered to add more tomato juice to his drink. Which didn't help, and changed the flavor of the drink. He only drank a quarter of his drink. Then ordered a totally different drink. There was no offer to remake his drink without horseradish, or comp his first drink. Neither the prime rib or the horseradish was a deal breaker. We all loved our visit, and will return again.

Atmosphere was great, wait staff was great. The food on the other hand was far from what I was expecting. I got the crab in a somewhat pasta dish with shrimp on it. It was very watery and barely tasted like crab, shrimp was tasty. My friends got the duck which they thought was too salty and another friend had a pork dish that was undercooked. I'm not much of a drinker, but my friends thought the alcohol selection was good but pricey. Overall, it's not a place I would actively seek out again but it's worth a try

To all who wish to dine at this dungeon for Sunday brunch, definitely confirm your reservation, do some research via the web reviews and call them on the Friday or Saturday before to confirm your reservation for Sunday brunch. I called on Wed the 13th 2019 and made a reservation for 4 and requested a table. They confirmed my reservation & I looked forward to a nice brunch with great friends & good conversation. We arrived @ 10:30 am and was informed that they had no reservation for a table of four and initially did not want to assist us in seating the four of us at the table I reserved (Deer in the head lights look). Finally after speaking with Manager on duty and another employee we were offered two round stand up tables outside the bar that they said they would push side by side. We declined and decided to sit at the bar which was even more of a mistake. Don't let them talk you into sitting at the bar if they state they don't have a reservation that was called in as it's to crowded and noisy with not much room and hard to carry a conversation. Now to the food and the brunch: nothing to brag about as they serve the standard fare that was semi warm and we got there @ 10:30 AM sharp- They opened @ 10 AM- there is no way the food on the brunch should've been semi warm. Now to the manager on duty "Ron": You have no customer service skills, a VERY BAD ADDITUDE and should be fired by Dean Kaymen if he still owns the place. I find it hard to believe that Dean or the management would employ someone like you. For all business travelers that fly into Manchester, NH or Boston's Logan I strongly encourage you to seek out an alternative restaurant in Boston, MA and pay the extra 5 or 10 dollars to get a way better meal/brunch. Bottom line... this place & the management have taken us for granite locally and think they are the only game in town for brunch. To the MOD: Why would I show up with three of of my best friends dressed to the nines at your door step for a once in a lifetime dinner without a reservation. FYI I showed the MOD :ron: the time stamp of the reservation calls placed on my phone and he turned to me and said "go ahead and leave bad feedback my name is :ron:

Wow. This place was beautiful. We were invited to a wedding rehearsal here and were blown away by the setup, the views and the staff. From the delicious food to the staff, it was a great experience for everyone and a great way to kick off a wedding weekend. Loved their decor too!

Dorothy was our server and was very personable/attentive. Went to Sunday brunch and wasn't impressed at all. Omelets were good and that's about it. Roast beef was tough and chewy. Mostly carbs in buffet and no vegetables. Great location, nice view/atmosphere.

Great location in an old mill building, the food was excellent and the wine selection was okay. I’d expect more French wines at a location like this with French inspired cuisine. Our server was amazing and provided great service and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We were really looking forward to trying the poutine but they were out of curd! We will definitely be back again!

Just tried their Sunday brunch buffet. It was really good. Stuffs are very nice. Good drink options suited for morning. Buffet has lots options starting from omelet station raw oysters and cocktail shrimp. Prime rib, pulled pork and ribs. Smoked salmon was really good. Desert station had good options too. Price was $27.

We were in for Brunch onEaster Sunday. Dorothy was our server and she did a phenomenal job for the size group that we were. The buffet was well situated in a large separate room, so even though there were a lot of people you did not feel it. The food trays were constantly refilled so you didn’t miss out on any offering. My compliments to the chefs the food was exceptional. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will be back!

I've dined here a handful of times. I keep getting lured in by the ambiance and then the cuisine never delivers. It's a beautiful restaurant and we've always had good service but the food is occasional hit, more often miss. Most of the entrees we've tried were bland and this place is pricey for what you're getting. I'd recommend going here for drinks and maybe apps and spending your $$$ on a meal elsewhere.

Cool location. Overpriced food, $16 burger was very meh but poutine great, short rib entree yummy but waitress had zero knowledge about what came with the dish (one of their specialties I believe). Seems like they don't do enough staff training, our waitress had no idea what anything was that I asked about and didn't offer to ask after several prompts. Which is ok normally but if I'm paying almost $40 for one entree I'd like to know what comes with it... Didn't even finish my burger, thought maybe I could stomach it when I got home but ended up throwing it away :/

I've been twice thus far. The first time I was alone and the server seemed to be completely indifferent to my presence. I ordered the kale dip appetizer, the Crab Louis salad, and a cocktail. The kale dip and the cocktail were as good as expected, while the Crab Louis salad was ridiculously bereft of crab. I know, crab is expensive, but I could not have filled up an entire tablespoon with the amount of crab on that plate! The next day I came back for brunch, which was expensive but pretty terrific...until I casually asked one of the servers if he could tell me if the smoked salmon was wild or farm raised. He did not know, but checked for me....it was indeed farm raised. It may not technically violate farm-to- table-certification standards, but it definitely violates the trust that people have place in such an establishment. Between the indifference, the crab, and the farm-raised salmon, I feel that 3 stars might be too generous, but something makes me want to go back for more!

This is the place to go in Manchester for top of the line food. I know people are not going to like that fact because it's not the cheapest place, no dollar menu here I have yet to have a terrible meal here the food is first rate and the service is excellent. The meat and cheese boards are fantastic! This is definitely not an everyday place but as a once in a while special occasion it is a good choice.

The scallop dish was cold in the center. Disapointed is what best describes my over all first impression of what was told to us to be one of Manchester NH's best local eateries.

As it was our first time to this fine establishment we knew not what to expect. It is a wonderfully beautiful place. The staff was exceptional. The food and beverages were out of this world. The atmosphere was so welcoming and comfortable. We came here for our anniversary and it was lovely. The only quarrel is the volume of our fellow patrons. My beautiful lady and I had a hard time conversing with each other.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant. We have never had a bad experience, the food and drinks are amazing, the staff is awesome. This time however, drink my husband received had more ice in it and seemed watered down, very unlike them to serve this. The server, Dorothy, promptly returned with a much better drink. My husband ordered the lamb special for his meal, but due to a miscommunication, the lamb was not medium-rare as asked. The manager explained that this is how it is cooked, but he would replace the meal if it did not meet our standards. He returned with an amazing dish for my husband, very quickly. My meal was outstanding. When paying for good food, it means a lot to know the staff will go above and beyond to remain in good standing with their customers. We will be returning!

I wish the service was more consistent. I stopped there for dinner last week with some friends. Started with the build your own cheese board, buuuut.... That's where things ended. The server never came back! She stayed behind the bar cleaning glassware. Mind you, there were a few bar guests and another table behind us. We had to flag her down in order to pay our tab and we ended up going to Cotton for dinner. Then, I went last night. And everything was nice and smooth. More guests around, but was given an actual experience. Just wishing for more consistency.

Loved it! Great decor and atmosphere. Excellent food. Midday menu was kind of limited for a pescatarian who can't really eat cheese but I was still able to not just simply eat but eat really well. I do know that the dinner menu has many more options. Delicious!

As a longtime participant in USFirst robotics we were visiting Manchester for the kickoff of the first robotics competition challenge. To cap off our visit we went to The Foundry which is the restaurant started by Dean Kamen and it was a really awesome. We sat at the bar and had an extraordinary appetizer or two and a wonderful main course. Everything looks great and everyone seemed to be having a great time. so if you're in Manchester definitely make time to stop by The foundry!

I've been 3 times this month. I've seen two of the menu rotations and I've been completely satisfied and impressed. If I had to make one criticism, I'd say the brussel sprouts were slightly undercooked. The chocolate cake was good too, although I couldn't eat it all myself.

One of Manchester's best restaurants, The Foundry offers quality American food with some unique and local ingredients. There are also good bar and cocktail offerings. Outdoor seating near the river is popular during good weather. Indoor atmosphere is open and characterized by wood tones. Prices here are set at somewhat of a premium but it's a reasonable overall value.

Excellent food and flavors with attentive and courteous service. The restaurant is large and open with some understated and tasteful decoration but the food is really where it shines. Much of the menu is locally sourced with seasonal ingredients and the flavors are excellent. We enjoy a couple of seafood dishes that were we'll prepared and very satisfying. Portions we're more than adequate and fair for the prices. Service was very helpful and regularly checked in without being overbearing. This is a great spot to visit and excellent for date nights or a celebration dinner, but not so very the top that it can't be enjoyed on an average night out. A definite recommend visit.

This is hard to write.. we have been to the Foundry so many times and we have loved it every time! Except this past time.. it was my birthday (which I put on the reservation). My drink, a basic Moscow Mule was such a let down... it came out tasting like water, no alcohol or ginger beer flavor. Our waiter noticed my face and asked if I wanted a new one so I said yes because it tasted so bad. Unfortunately the second she came out with tasted the same but with a type of flat soda taste and no carbonation at all, I had to order a different drink all together at that point. My husband had the pan seared scallops last time we came here but I guess they changed the dish this time but he tired it anyway, he regretted it. The sauce was watery and the the entire dish was just boring and lacked flavor. I ordered the steak tips, medium well and they came out almost rare and also lacking flavor. The biggest let down was when I asked for ketchup, because The Foundry has always had AMAZING homemade ketchup, I was given something out a bottle... so disappointed and sad to say but we will not be returning to the restaurant we once loved for all our important moments.

Such a neat restaurant! Very spacious with a great atmosphere. Definitely a little more extravagant than I was expecting, but that's ok. Our server Cathy was wonderful. The menu offers a solid selection of options, including vegetarian, and each dish seems to have its own little finesse. While some options seem pricey, you do get a very decent portion of food. The roasted brussel sprouts were *amazing* and I could have ate them all night. Overall a good restaurant.

I absolutely love that Jillians turned into The Foundry. This place is very very nice and I always love to take a girl on a nice date here. Even if it's just for a drink at the bar, it's still a place to checkout. I wish I could go here more, but I live too darn far away! When you go, make sure to check out their cheese selection for an appetizer!

First time here and nothing really stands out as being great. Most dishes are easy thrown together, things I can make myself. Have made myself and had better results. Had the baked haddock, it was just ok. Everything was just ok.

We have dined here a total of 3 times. Been here multiple times for drinks only. In my opinion, you're better to come and enjoy the ambiance for drinks. The food quality has never once matched the price tag. We eat out often and enjoy good food and could care less about price if justified. Unfortunately the food often seems "off".

Went to celebrate my mom’s birthday dinner with my parents - and everything we had was an absolute delight!! The Tough Thyme cocktail was unbelievably subtle. Of the many dishes we tried, the blood orange roasted Brussels sprouts were the most pleasant surprise. Great atmosphere with the riverside view and the attention to detail made this an experience of a lifetime!

Went there in hopes of good food and cocktails. I ordered the mussels appetizer and a cocktail. The cocktail was super sweet and I could not drink it. The mussels appetizer came out in less than a minute after ordering. Once tasting the mussels it reaffirmed why they came out in less than a minute they were cold like they were precooked waiting for someone to order them. This place is a disgrace to be calling itself farm to table.

Our sever was terrific. (I wish I could remember her name). My husband has an onion and pepper allergy and boy she knew the menu well enough to steer him away from the foods that contained them. He had the Lemon Chicken without the red peppers and said it was delicious! I had Chicken Bolognese that was fantastic. Our dinner companions had Baked Haddock and Pan Seared Cod once again both were extremely happy with their meals.. We're heading back on March 23rd and cannot wait to try something else. 3 trips in for dinner and so far everything has been great.
