Usually really good, Not this time. Took over a hour too get our food and they were not that busy. When we did get our food it was dry and over-cooked. They did take the cost of the appetizer off our bill. Still Disappointing this time around. Maybe some day we may try and give them another shot at it. But right now a no go for awhile.

My husband and I visited with a Groupon. We got the BBQ nachos as an appetizer. Good, but wouldn’t put it on my list of foods worth driving for. We both got sandwiches as our entrees. Again, good, but nothing to write home about. And yes, the portions are huge. But your table is tiny which is a bit uncomfortable.

Been here before, and love this place. One of those hidden gems that you don't see from main street but are glad you took the time to find. Its been a while since I've had some really good fish tacos - I had some great ones tonight! Staff was friendly and helpful, and we love the rustic feel here.

I love their BBQ nachos, the personal is pretty big bowl, and the pork is spread all throughout the chips and not just placed on top.

Tables and chairs are way too close together- like the owner is like "there is a whole 2 square foot of unused space here. Get a 5 seater up so we can stuff em in and they'll be so uncomfortable they leave so we can stuff more in again." Drinks are good. Chicken tenders were good. Waiter looked like he wasn't even sure if he worked here.

We found this place one day when we couldn't decide where to eat. I was looking for good New England comfort food that wasn't sea food exclusive. What we got was just that. The prices were a bit exspensive but it's easily made up for by their portion size. We were so happy with their food that it became our favorite cop out places when we don't know what we want.

Unique old farmhouse setting. Attractive interior and outside deck overlooking the Cocheco River. The service is slow, but friendly. The food seems to be hit or miss but decent value overall. For example, the nachos were great and covered with meat, cheese, onions and tomatoes, but the tacos were somewhat meager compared to other local options. Decent beer selection. Good margarita.

First time visit sat on the deck with our dog!My husband was craving clams our waitress Sam was great- suggested trying the new kittery restaurant and even told us to grab a coupon when we left- might have to go! My lettuce wraps were yummy and husband enjoyed the draft she suggested. Thank you!

We were seated at a dirty table. The menu said hand cut fries and they gave us waffle fries, there is a huge difference between the two. When I spoke to the staff about it I was told they switched their fries, I feel like this was something that should have been told to us when we put our order in. We drove 45 minutes out of our way to go to the Farm because they have(had) hand cut fries. I gotta say that I felt completely disappointed with the whole experience. I feel deceived like they thought we won't notice or thought we would just settle for what they gave us, if I wanted to just settle for whatever I would have gone to the 99.

Venue is great with seating on the water. Bar life is relaxed and the bartenders are friendly and outgoing. Best margarita outside of the regular Mexican spot. Wings, steak tips and the pulled pork are out of this world. Perfect spot for date night or drinks with friends.

We always have a great time at the Farm!!!! Great drinks, especially the pop rock martini, a must try. The staff is always fun and friendly. Great night for some dinner on the deck. We will be back next weekend for some Boston Lager!!!!!!! Lol

I was not going to write a review because I didn’t want to waste my time and just told myself I wouldn’t go back. Although, I had friend that recently went here and said that had the worst service. I have been here a few times and it’s never been awesome or wowed me. The portions are so small. I can here for my 21st a couple weeks ago and the bartender or manager was awesome! But our waitress was horrible.... we hardly saw her and it took forever to order my first birthday drink. I’m a server so I know it can be stressful, but we were her only table. The appetizers were good. But the entrees were small. It took forever to get our checks and when we did, she didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert. And it was my birthday. Very unsatisfied and will never come back, as this wasnt the first tIme. They need some new servers and larger portions for their higher prices!

Shared a meal here with family a few nights ago. Service was quick despite it being a busy evening. I had a salad which was crisp with fresh ingredients topped with protein which was prepared perfectly medium rare we which was to my liking. I would, and most likely will return. The parking situation leaves a bit to be desired

I like The Farm a lot, though it is very loud in the lounge, and they really need wasabi for their yellow fin tuna appetizer, and chopsticks! Service is consistently very good. Get the app for perks.

Kinda disappointing and was expecting more from the reviews I read. The staff was courteous but also not incredibly engaged. We reserved a table in their patio area for a larger party. They didn't take our name so of course they give it to another large party that arrived right before us. They accommodated us quickly, but just not in the way we wanted. In terms of the food, we were not blown away. Their pork used for nachos and such was delicious. I feel like this is the kind of place to get BBQ and comfort food. Unfortunately most of our party did not have that as their meal. Salads were over dressed with overcooked meat. The chicken in the Thai wraps were covered in an overly sweet sauce, though the veggies were prepared nicely. I was not a fan of the hand cut fries. They weren't really seasoned and tasted burnt. They were out of a dish one of us really wanted but the fish and chips they got instead were fine. The inside is okay but the outdoor area seems to have the charm. Overall I don't think I'd return when I'm in the area.

Food was decent but service was horrible. The hostess was rude, dismissive to us. We then watched him seat a party of 2 at the only dirty table outside as he picked up a cup and threw the contents over the balcony. They too looked absolutely appalled. It then took our waitress an hour to bring our food from when we ordered it. Not fun. Would not recommend.

Food took forever my tortillas for the fajitas were cold, the steak in my fajitas was cold, my date asked for ranch 3 times before we got it. Our drinks went dry twice then I asked for my dessert cookie to be warmed up and it was cold and rock hard. Not a great experience for what we spent. Last time several months ago it was delicious not so much this time.

The food here is very flavorful. It doesn't rise to the level of fine dining, but it is a notch above typical bar food. Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, and fast delivery on the food.

Service is great, the staff is super friendly and the building is homey and wonderful. Unfortunately the food leaves a lot to be desired, we ordered two appetizers to share. The BBQ nachos and the chicken wings. While the BBQ nachos we're well done and fun the wings were very bland. Also the side of guacamole that we got for the nachos had a long strand of hair in it. The host was quick to correct the problem though and offered us a fresh batch or our money back for it. In short, great staff, great atmosphere, not so great kitchen work.

More staff needed. I attended a baby shower and ended up helping with the delivery and clean up the food and dishes. However the manager on duty was grateful. I also had to run to the bartender to request such things as napkins and utensils. I missed the Mommy to be entering and part of the gift opening.

1st impression...GREAT PLACE! Service was perfect. Tried the baked haddock, steak tips and salad. All were very good. The deep fried onion was just the way I like it and should be served...slightly over cooked to get some crunch and not have that "wet" bottom half. Great local beer menu. Fun atmosphere and all in a barn setting. My new favorite place. UPDATE...20April19... At the bar for drinks and apps...try the Spinach & Artichoke bread bowl. Has pita chips and is very tasty. Goes great with a beer or cocktail. CRYSTAL was our bartender, treated us like family. Great suggestions and good conversation...keep it up!

A lot of people like the farm and have good experiences there but I how ever did not. I felt mainly the female portion of the staff was rude and being passive aggressive to a friend and my self. Not sure if it was a racial thing or what but Needless to say we paid our tab and left. I wont be going back to the farm Dover l nh.

We sat for about 17 minutes before we were initially approached by our waiter. I felt as though we were being talked about, which made us uncomfortable. When I got home my mother said to leave if that ever happens again, which I will be doing. I had a very nice conversation with one of the hostesses, but aside from that... it was just an overall weird experience. The food alone was good and I personally loved the breaded mozzarella appetizer and have always been a fan of their caesar salads.

Wife and I went here for dinner one Thursday night about 6:30ish. No wait to sit. Server was out promptly, took our order for a couple drinks and some jalapeno poppers to start with. The drinks came out shortly after and were really good. Server noticed that my drink had too much pineapple juice in it, this was given away by the color of the drink. The drink was fine, but I thought it good that the servers took notice of stuff like that. Poppers came out and they were amazing. Instead of the little things you get from most places, which are usually just the skins from the jalapeno fried up, these were big and juicy. Food came out on good time after we were done with our appetizer. I had gotten the fish tacos and my wife got the fajitas with chicken. Both were excellent. The fish was tender and juicy, and the chicken smelled and tasted really good. Definitely would recommend this place to everyone. Menu wasn't overbearing with choices, but there werent too few either. Some restaurants try too hard to have a big selection and end up having too many options, and then the quality of a dish can suffer. At the end of the night, we were extremely satisfied and will definitely be coming back.

The food at the farm continues to be pretty good, if not exactly exceptional, American bar food. But the service just never seem to get above general apathy here for some reason. I understand being understaffed or overworked, but that's never even used as an excuse by the staff. Rather it's just a general lethargy to their work that really dampens the overall experience. We shouldn't have to bus our own table by bringing stuff to the bar to get rid of it, but more than once that's what we've had to to, just to clear some space on the table. The place doesn't seem to want for patrons though, so I guess they just don't have any incentive to have a more involved staff.
