Their lunch menu doesn’t include the soup if you take out. (They did include the rice and chicken wings). I work in downtown and decided to take out some lunch. Food is good, nice and hot, but I was charged extra for the soup. I told them that it’s included in the lunch menu and I wouldn’t have ordered it if it wasn’t included on the lunch menu. I also said that it doesn’t state on the lunch menu that the soup is only included for the dine in patrons. Still got charged $11. Now I know where not to go for lunch when I’m at work. Ah well. :(

I cannot fathom how anyone can call this the best Chinese food anywhere. My scallops were rubbery, the chili sauce had absolutely zero spice to it, and there was nothing for flavor to be found anywhere in my meal. Nice people, but this is awful food. Don’t believe a word of these positive reviews!

Main course was not quite luke-warm and the spring roll was much too greasy. The tea was good and hot. At least they got that right. Wonton soup nearly warm enough.

BBQ Ribs are the #1 here! Chicken terryaki is so yummy! I usually am really picky about Chinese food but this place is my 1st choice in Exeter! They make really great food. Saw a plate made up 1 time and the table next to ours had a decorative swan dish made out of tinfoil.....it smelled soo good!

Best Chinese restaurant on the seacoast! Exceptional service and food cooked freshly for each customer. Will cater to your dietary needs ( ie: salt free, oil free, vegetarian ) Have been dining here for 25 years. It is still owned and operated by the same family and they take great pride in their business.

Got take out. Most items/flavors were good but... the steak on a stick was a bit overcooked and along with the chicken wings, were flavorless. I was Extremely disappointed in the chicken & broccoli as the broccoli tasted very strongly like fish! Yuk!! That ruined my appetite and amThankfull Im not allergic to shellfish! Portions were good. Pickup time was good for a fri. evening.

Was a customer here since moving to the area in 2003, and employed here from 2007 to sometime in 2008. Place is clean all-over, prices are good, Both owner and staff are and have been courteous (and really cool dudes). There's a lunch buffet on Sundays from 12:00 to 15:00. I highly recommend this establishment.

The Buffet there is pretty much really worth it. And really tasty! I really liked the fried beans and beef mix, and the sweet & sour chicken, these are all good with white rice!

We had a really good experience here a few months ago when we stopped in. Our waiter started us off with waters and tea without even being asked. The food was fresh, fast, and delicious. We had two very tired young kids with us, and all of the staff were very patient and kind toward them. The food wasn't the greatest I've had, but definitely up there in quality. The location was slightly off the main path so it wasn't very crowded, and the servers were attentive and friendly. Portions were big, we had plenty of leftovers!

I live under 3 miles from this restaurant... I showed up 5 mins early to pick up my food and the order was ready when I walked in. This made me think that the food wasn’t made fresh.... When I got home everything was cold. so CLEARLY the food was not made fresh.... I am not impressed, and will not be ordering here again.

went to szechuan taste with my wife and 4 children at 5pm last night and they said they couldnt accommodate us and seat us. they didnt even try. the place was only half full and there were booths available. they had the nerve to say we had to split up and seat seperate..there was a huge table available but they were saving it they said. so we went to ocean wok in hampton. much better food and atmosphere without the attitude. i will never go to szechuan taste again.

Love this place! Have been going there for years. Typical Chinese food. Atmosphere is cozy. It's a little tucked away place that you wouldn't really know was there unless you I've been there before or have been told about it. Staff is very nice. Prices are decent. Service super fast. Takeout is usually ready in about 10 minutes regardless of the size of the order. I'll recommend it to anyone and plan on continuing going there regularly in the future

They stare at you to much while your eating. On buffet Sundays there constantly mixing the food up and trying to stand up the prongs. There's no chicken fingers on the buffet now come what's a Chinese buffet with out chicken fingers. I kinda feel for them because the cows that go in there clean em out. I guess there making enough money so**** On the other side the quality of food seems to be more hand made not just a bunch of frozen veggies all in all I give them 4.5

Here, though it is not a place one may see when coursing thru Exeter’s downtown, FIND IT! It’s in a quirky location but give it a minute. Great service, great food and I guarantee you will be glad you went.

The food and service here is good. Been coming here for 15 years and food/service is consistently good. The decor, silverware, plates, everything-literally everything- has been the same since we have been going. So, the interior is shabby and worn and needs updating, paint, ceiling tiles, new carpeting etc. They do not put money back into the business. However, if those things don't matter to you- the food is good and the service is great.

Good standard fair. The interior could use some sprucing up, but for take out its the best locally (which isnt saying too much). We generally get General tso's and crab rangoon. The tsos is crispy and good; one of the best around. The rangoon is pretty much straight cream cheese in a crispy shell, not the greatest but does the job.
