Pretty rough, but with a good heart. Went with my wife, we had seen their advert at Betty's for $11.99 Lasagna and $5.99 martinis on Tuesdays. Anyway, neither was good anymore. We had wine, martini's (full price) and a parmigiana trio. The soup was heavy, hearty, good. My wife could only eat part of her salad - the cheese was anonymous at best, the dressing was bottled. The main course was heavily breaded, heavily fired, pretty much inedible. The pasta was good, on the cooked side of penne, but the parmigiana was over fried - eggplant was mush inside a shell, chicken was tough inside a shell, and the veal was tough, curled charred inside a shell. Tipped $34 on a $66 tab, cause the waitress was so distressed. Our fault, really - 40 years ago this would have been a big night out, now, well, not so good. Better places to go in the area.

I have gotten plenty of take out food from this establishment. Been a big fan for a long time..... It saddens me to say that I went there to eat in with my significant other and my In-laws. The service was more then unsatisfactory. Waiting 10 minutes to even be asked about a drink order.... uncalled for.... I then brushed that off my shoulders as to a forgetful busy mistake. Then as the restaurant slowed down the service seemed to get worse.... our entree's were all brought out at diffrent times and then when asked for a refill of my wine it took a good 20 minutes, which at this point I was done with my meal. The sad part is the waitress said the bartender was far behind..... funny no one was sitting at the bar.... I will say this experience has caused me to reconsider the decision to choose this restaurant for a place to eat again. Maybe until they understand how a food service place should work.

Real authentic Italian food, some of the best we've had! Portions are large with enough left to make a meal the next day. Prices are reasonable for the excellent quality of the food and the service is excellent too! Highly recommend it if you enjoy good Italian style food.

Ronaldo's was great! They start you out with freshly named bread which was nice. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was quite large and delicious. I then got the Shrimp Rose as my meal and this was also a very large dish. It was made perfectly and has made this my favorite Italian food spot on the seacoast. It does get a little expensive but you get what you pay for with the large portions and great food. The looks of this location being in a strip mall building is deceiving but it's a place I highly recommend

One of the worst meals I've ever had. The waitress was really nice . However my chicken parm was like shoe leather and the mozzarella sticks were so thick with bread that I think I had a gluten attack. Took one bite of that nasty chicken parm and they refused to take it off the bill. I do not recommend this place at all.

Where do I start it looked good when I came the lady said it would be 10 to 15 minutes I had no problem with that but it ended up to be more than 15 minutes and then we finally sat down it took a while for them to bring over the bread and water and when we ordered our drinks it was already like 10 to 15 minutes for them to get our orders for the drinks I got ice tea and when I tasted it it tasted like water it wasn’t good so then I got a lemonade and it taste like it was powdered lemonade And by the time we got our food we almost left but then we got it and the mozzarella sticks were the bland and tasted bad they were dry and they were not seasoned well I have had way better mozzarella sticks and when we got our food I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it is supposed to taste like cheese it did not it was bland it took forever it needed more seasoning and my grandmother Got the veal Parmesan and there was too much breading it was not seasoned well and she got pasta on the side in the pasta it was way overcooked my grandpa got A chicken dish that had pasta with it and it was way over powering with the lemon and the capers it was very bad we will not be coming back here ever again it was way better years ago so we will not come back and they’re Where these people that showed up two minutes after we got seated and it took them one hour I am not joking one hour to be seated so we are not coming back ever again it was very bad it was disgusting and it was the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life where these people that showed up two minutes after we got seated and it took them one hour I am not joking one hour to be seated so we are not coming back ever again it was very bad it was disgusting and it was the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life.

After we complained about the pesto pasta being soaked in oil, the meatless meat sauce, and the half microwaved frozen meatball, we were chased out of the restaurant by several of the staff. Asked to leave and eat somewhere else! The food has & service has gone WAY downhill in the last few years. Miserable experience and embarrassing situation.

Went for Dinner last night with my wife and son. Joe ordered Seafood over Pasta and was in the men's room throwing up before we even left the restaurant. He and I ate the same food all day and he was fine until he ate the seafood. He was sick again on the way home. We called the restaurant to tell them and they didn't seem to care. They put my wife on hold telling her they were trying to contact the owner. They didn't bother to take her name or phone number to follow up. Mothers Day was the next day. I sure hope nobodies Mom went home sick from here! We hadn't been there in years and will never go back.

I love Italian food and had given up on it in the seacoast area due to the same old lack of flavor, pre-minced garlic tasting, over/under cooked pasta.... Basically nobody doing it right! I had not eaten at Ronaldos in 15 years and am so glad I went in for lunch today. This was truly the best Italian meal I've ever had in the seacoast area. If you didn't get the point, this is my recommendation...go there and get anything to eat, you'll be full and happy after you do.

Hate to be the person who writes a bad review but from the start of our meal it was a terrible experience. Bought a bottle of wine and they told us they had to go to the liquor store next door to buy it. We ordered our food and our server was rude the entire time, treating us like we were an inconvenience. All our food was luke warm and my moms was cold. She sent it back, and they brought her out a new one that was still cold. Our server told us that the dish must have not been for her and that the cooks were outback eating it, absolutely so rude. When she came back to drop off the check I told her that speaking to customers that way isn’t every appropriate and she started arguing with me telling me she was the owner. NO owner should ever talk to customers that way. I never take the time to write a review but this place was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in awhile. So appauled by their version of “customer service”.

Our visit to Ronaldo's was a great experience and we will return sometime soon..My only criticism is that one person in our party of 4 had a craving for lasagna and it was not available, I believe due to our early arrival time of 4pm (opening time) we were told it needed time to cook..Other than that, our waitress was excellent and took care of our every need.. All of our dishes were presented in a timely manner and all looked like they belonged on a cover of Bon Appetit...the dishes were 2 Chicken Piccata's , Veal Parmesan, and penne pasta with meat sauce... The portions were good and more than plenty, so we took some home.. We were all pleased with our choices and happy to see an open kitchen with the Chef's preparing the food..They made the atmosphere more inviting by their presence.. Overall, a great dining experience and I would not hesitate giving them a try when you are in the area...I feel you will be happy with your choice to dine there...

The restaurant itself is crowded (not in a cozy way) and messy. Terrible lighting and staff that all look pretty unhappy to have patrons. You can see into the kitchen where unhappy cooks spent much of the time yelling and complaining instead of cooking. It took about an hour before we were given water, the garlic bread appetizer (which was just their table bread with some cheese melted on it) took a very long time to arrive, and the “minestrone” soup seemed like a can of Chef Boyardee with some tortellini thrown in. One drink from the bar had a garnish of a mangled old cucumber and when we asked for Knob Creek on the rocks, we received some sort of cocktail with cherries. There were inconsistencies in the entrees and the wine pours and everything is very overpriced for the quality. The portions are large but they aren’t well made so you don’t actually want to take anything home. It wasn’t busy but the entire staff seemed frazzled and confused. I doubt anyone there has much restaurant experience. Your money would be better spent literally anywhere else.

My husband and I have been regulars to Ronaldo's and have enjoyed our meals and had it at lunch prices. Anyways, we stopped in as usual on our way home from Maine. We sat down and ordered a soda and water. we noticed that our bread/butter dishes were greasy and we gave them back to the waitress. She said it was from putting the oil for the bread on it. So, she took them and I watched they took a cloth or napkin and wiped them off and gave them back to us. Unbelievable, then we got our salads my salad had about 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar on it. I changed dishes so I could salvage my salad. Well, it was too soggy too eat. I had ordered Meatballs to eat with my salad. I figured my entree was going to be good I ordered Eggplant Parmesan with Penne and the eggplant was hard and over cooked and it looked like they had refried old eggplant. The eggplant looked like a dried cookie. I tried to eat and salvage the dish but just couldnt eat it. I sent it back and called the other waitress that we know and showed her. I ordered the meatloaf that my husband had ordered before to take home. The waitress started to say oh, you can't order out because of groupon. But Missie the waitress we knew said it was ok. At no time did they offer for us to talk to the manager. We do believe he was the gentleman that kept walking back and forth from the bar to the kitchen. My husband and I will not return there.

I’ve been driving an hour each way to Ronaldo’s for years. It’s sad to see how bad this restaurant turned! The veal Ronaldo was completely raw in center. The antipasto was a joke. We were there the day the whole kitchen staff walked out on them which was a four hour inedible nightmare. We hoped they would rebound but they haven’t been able to recover. They need to do whatever it takes to get the old Ronaldo’s back or give Ramsay a call.

I ordered the seafood fettuccine, it wasn't very good. The pasta was fine. My biggest problem was that only the shrimp was fresh, the lobster and other meat did not taste fresh at all. I did enjoy the bread and the salad, service was very good.

Service and atmosphere was great. We got warm bread with olive oil before ordering which was great to take the edge off. We ordered fried calamari, which was delicious and soup came with our meals. The special was cheese tortellini soup, which was delicious. I got the North End Chicken and it was sweeter and less flavorful than I anticipated but we were so full by then anyway that most of it became leftovers. Portions are huge. My husband got the Meatloaf Italiano, which was good but the meat sauce paired with it was a little boring. We then ordered the lava cake for dessert which was a typical chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream - delicious. Overall a great place and great night. We will be back. Best Italian in the area!

My husband and our adult children went to the Ronaldo's restaurant on Wednesday 5th of June for our Anniversary. Our waitress was new so we tried to make it easy for her. There were only 2 other groups of people but we thought it is Wednesday. This restaurant always smelled of garlic, warm feeling, Italian music. Well it is not like that anymore. Entrees come with soup but no choice for salad unless you pay $1.99. That is different from before. I needed more sauce for my Parm Trilogy which I have ordered every time I eat there. Pasta was under and not enough sauce so they bring me sauce and bill it as a side of $2.99. Our daughter orders shrimp diavalo with different sauce. Order is wrong and another side dish of $2.99. Our son orders steak salad which is so tough that he can't eat. Chef comes out and apologizes for the steak and out comes another one. By this time he is not hungry so takes it home. My husband was good with his meal but never complains. We are snowbirds so went to Betty's Kitchen on Sunday for breakfast and saw advertising on Wednesday 20 percent discount with parties of four. That is one the reason we went to Ronaldo's and we have always enjoyed our meals. Well, they no longer honor that discount. I talked with acting manager who was very Curt and said that is the only reason we came in. That was not true so she gave me Owners email who had not responded to my email. This restaurant is not what it was. No wonder everyone I have talked with avoids this place. My recommendation is that there are so many restaurants to choice from do not pick this one. You will be disappointed. I would not be surprised if they close by this summer. You have been warned

Got takeout for 9 of us and it was very disappointing. The food was bland and not served as described on the menu. Note... tomato paste and an overload of olive oil does not make food "Italian". My chicken salad had 4 strips of pepper and a few onions - no broccoli, mushroom, spinach, plum tomato or parm as the menu stated. Portabello mushroom app was actually two overcooked mini mushroom caps. We had to get marinara from our own fridge for the mozzarella sticks as well as parmesan cheese. Needless to say we threw most of the food away and won't be back.

My dinner of Chicken picatta was bland and chicken was very tough. Everything was sitting in about half inch of water that was supposed to be lemon and wine. My daughter's chicken parm was tough and tasteless. Tomato sauce lacked flavor and kitchen should drain pasta better and pound the chicken thinner. Six other people at dinner and we were not impressed at all. Not worth time or $$.

Knew we were off to a bad start with our waitress having the personality of a dead fish. Drinks and an antipasto were ordered to start. The antipasto was small, tiny cubed, cured meats with gristle, canned artichokes, and tiny cubed cheese not big enough for your fork. Salad was the best part of the meal. Minestrone soup was strictly broth, no vegetables, no pasta. Was willing to let the soup slide until ALL (3) meals, (2) chicken dishes and a meatball were ordered for main courses. ALL THREE MEALS were served to barely room-temperature and meatballs were cold, not even room temperature. Hope I don't get sick. Side dishes of pasta were served cold, -COLD pasta and lukewarm marinara, no meat in the "meat sauce". Now disgusted at $25 a plate, something was said to our dead-fish of a waitress. She stated she was going to say something to the management. No one came to our table to address our food issues until, we personally stopped the manager who took 50% off our tab. All in all... save your money. You could get a better hot, cheaper priced meal at Olive Garden with a coupon in your Sunday paper.

The place is cute but was empty when we got there at 12:45 on a Sunday; just one customer sitting at the bar. (we didn't know they weren't open yet)They asked for our drink order and brought our water, then bread, then finally menus. Bread was fresh and amazing! Food came too fast, amusingly served in frying pans. (not a bad thing). We ordered "lite" size and it was still more than I could finish. (also not a bad thing) My date's cheese ravioli (was indeed the other thing the owner mentions in his reply) definitely store bought. The breaded chicken on it was moist and yummy. Roasted tomatoes and spinach also tastey. My breaded chicken also delightfully cooked but their was something different than expected with the sauce. Could have been the canned capers. Mushrooms we of questionable freshness. No clue if the languini was fresh or a high quality boxed kind. Same with the tomatoes. (I liked it well enough to eat most of it, we were very very full) Pricing was too high. We were happy we had the Groupon.

Ronaldo's is worth three stars as the food and waitress were great. The loss of two stars is because the overall experience is horrible. The hostess was outright nasty and rude. My party was going to leave but we had already had our intentions on good Italian. This is sad as this used to be a total end to end awesome experience and now it is not. If I was the owner I would hire more staff as there were six empty tables and people were struggling to keep up. I would also either fire the hostess or work on her huge ego. I will likely not be back with how many great restaurant options there are in the area.

It was my last day in NH and we decided to treat ourselves with some Italian food. My server was Ben and by far is the best service and Italian food around. Furthermore, portions were big, temperatures were right and service was phenomenal. I regret finding Ronaldo's on my last day in NH. As a note: the kitchen opens at 12. They opened the kitchen 10 minutes early just for me, my wife and my baby daughter.

My husband and I have been coming to Ronaldo’s for as long as we have been married (2002). We decided to stop in today for Mother’s Day as we needed to attend a wake just down the road. I have to say that this was the worst visit we have ever had. Our waitress was very nice and responsive to our needs but our food was cold (she offered to fix) and it was under seasoned. These things I could dismiss as it was a holiday. What I could not look past was the way one of the women, who was perhaps a manager or an owner, spoke to the other waitress on the floor near the kitchen in the middle of dinner service. I overheard the woman tell the waitress she had another table coming in that she was going to assign to her. The waitress politely noted that she thought the restaurant closed at 6 (it was now past 6) and that she had plans with her mother. The woman loudly and rudely responded that waitress would be fired. After I saw this waitress- a young woman who appeared to be a teen- wipe her eyes and fight back tears as she walked back onto the floor, cleared several tables, cleaned and reset the tables and continue to offer service to the party she was serving. From the bar, I could her the manager loudly complain to another employee about the waitress. When our waitress noticed the look of disgust on my face, she apologized profusely. As a long time customer, a mother and a human, I thought the behavior of the manager was disgraceful. Not only should the customers not be subjected to this sort of display, the way that she spoke to the waitress SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN in a place of business. I am utterly disappointed in our experience. When I addressed the issue with the restaurant via social media, I received this as a restaurant: “Hi Sara So sorry your disappointed. We strive to be the best, but it is so hard to get good help. Do you know anyone?”

Go into restaurant yesterday intending to grab a drink at the bar, then dinner. People order a manhattan in dining room and waitress asks bartender to put extra vermouth Bartender says i make it my way or not at all. 1st negative vibe! Another order comes in, again bartender says wont make it. Ask him if he has had a bad day? I hate this place and its my last week working here. We finished our drinls and left and wont be back anytime soon

Not a good restaurant at all, embarrassing. Went their last night with girlfriend for a date night and we ordered a salad for both our sides, found a long hair in my salad, absolutely disgusting. Then we go for the bread and my girlfriend finds a hair inside the bread. She ordered raviolis with and the sauce was all watery and her whole plate looked like their was soaked raviolis the sauce was terrible she said. I ordered eggplant parm and I was enjoying it until the inside of some of them were cold. No wonder why it was so dead last night. Definitely not going back there again.
