Food not good at all especially real veal parmesan only been there once

Meg Heals

This place is AMAZING. Food was beyond delicious, service was 5 stars and ambience really makes you feel like you are in Italy. The food is made to order and truly tastes homemade. We will be eating here again for sure!

Jonathan Swartz

Great food. All home cooked and made to order. So it takes a little longer, but worth it

We came here as a party of 10 and had placed a reservation the server seemed nice and attentive but it doesn't make up for the food itself. We waited a hour and a half! Tables that came later then us were served before us! Once the food actually arrived the food my cheese tortellini was way too small and all my other friends were drenched on sauce. I left the restaurant more hungry then I entered! Then we couldn't split the bill and tip was included

Randy Cobleigh

Quickly seated upon reservation confirmation, food took a few minutes longer to get, but the sauces are MADE TO ORDER! Well worth the wait!

The Slav Spartan

It was good.

This is a hidden gem in Manchester. The food is fresh and made to order. I got the chicken parmesan, a classic dish, and I was begging for more. I live that it was a BYOB establishment and my date and I were able to polish off a bottle of wine. I love this place and would make a reservation for a delicious intimate dinner.

Debra Depelteau

My husband and I sooo enjoyed the food the atmosphere and service.. Best Italian Food in town.. highly recommended!!! Truly...

If I could have given them no stars I would have. I came here for a friend's birthday gathering this past Saturday and the food was absolutely amazing, however, I have never experienced worst service. Having worked in the restaurant industry for years, I was surprised when my party was not greeted...at all. It took for one of the guests to find our server. Once found, you could tell that our server was less than thrilled to be accommodating a party of 10 plus. She did not offer us beverages or bread - we had to ask for these things. After our meal I asked our server if she would be able to place my meal ( a single chicken fettuccine) on a seperate bill and she stated that she could not do so for a party of this size. I stated that I did not believe the remainder of the party would be asking, however, I had to leave. She physically threw her arms up in a *sucks to sucks, sorry* fashion and stated "sorry I just can't do it! " before turning her back on me and running into the kitchen. I will never dine here again, nor will my friends, and I will steer away any acquaintances who inquire about Mangia.

My husband and I went here for dinner on Thursday 3/1 and we weren’t sure what to expect. We waited to be seated a little longer than usual. The waiting area was tiny and awkward and we were just about ready to leave when the waitress/hostess came to seat us. We did not know that it was BYOB so after ordering our appetizer I went across the street to get a bottle of wine. It didn’t take long for us to realize that the waitress was working by herself and it was a busy night so even though we had to wait a long time for our food we were enjoying good conversation and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. I have to commend our waitress. She was so busy and yet she never once complained or made any excuses. She remained pleasant and calm which made our dining experience even more pleasurable. The food was delicious and overall I am happy that we stayed. Many thanks to our waitress for being a trooper and a true professional. We made a point of asking the owner to speak with us so we might let him know what a great employee she is. I hope when we return that she will be there.

Felicia Arsenault

Seriously amazing! I've been here several times and have always been met with exceptional service and outstanding dishes! The owner/chef puts a lot of work into each plate. The wait is well worth handmade to order dishes.

Best Italian in NH by far !! Try it , you wont be disappointed

Chris Labore

Absolutely one of my favorites and Manchester never had a bad meal me and the wife had a great time even with our lovely 11, old child. Food and service always top notch

Google User

This used to be my favorite place ever. I have referred so many people here. We invited friends who had never been before, and we raved about it. It was such a disappointment. They served the table who arrived after us before us (apparently the owners relative?). They were not busy. We have been there before and understand this is not fast food, but two hours while watching your neighbor who arrived after you, eat before you, is annoying... The waitress had a nervous laugh and was extremely uncomfortable the whole time. She never apologized for how long we waited and rarely checked in. The marsala was the only good dish. Every other dish was mediocre. We have never had a bad experience here, but this last experience left us embarrassed to our friends (that we raved to) and with a literal bad taste in our mouth.

Glenn Simons

Great atmosphere, made to order meals. Been here a half dozen times and yet to be disappointed.

Gordon Shumway

Chicken parm was so overcooked it was like eating shoe leather, their "sauce" was watery diced tomatoes with a few spices, girlfriend got the Pollo Valdostana, and the chicken was way way overdone on hers also, waitstaff seemed clueless, the bruschetta was good, and was the only redeeming part of the night. doubtful I'd go back.

Peter Osiecki

Chef- owner Angelo cooked our meal to perfection! Salad and chicken parmesan was delicious...bring your own wine is a plus. Take your time, bring someone you enjoy having a conversation with, and enjoy a good dinner together.

AMAZING! BYOBottle of Wine, and they'll charge a humble corking fee. The food is bright, fresh and worth waiting for. Reservations are required and you should expect to have a slow service experience. This is not a detractor... the ambiance and quality is worth your patience. If you go with friends, then someone is always able to stroll down the street to the NH liquor store for a few more bottles of Vino!

Cheryl Smith

What a hidden gem. Love the food, atmosphere and service could not be more personable. Reservations might be a good idea.

The best shrimp fettuccine alfredo I’ve ever had

Craig Buchanan

Good Italian food made from scratch. Expensive. Two of us with soft drinks and a salad was around $68 to which I added a 20% tip because no one should work for free and our server was good. Sauce was fresh and homemade. Salads were good sized, not too big and not too small, complimentary bread was good too, but it was the only thing that was not charged for. Everything is al a carte. You can bring booze as long as it’s not liquor (Beer, Wine, Zimbabwe) but they will charge $5 to open it for you. I imagine you could bring it opened, but they would still charge you to use a wine glass. They do not sell alcohol. I don’t drink so I don’t care, but my wife was surprised she couldn’t get wine with dinner. Their website tells you that, but I forgot to inform her. We will use it for special occasions because of the price.

Michelle Richard

Small, cozy, quaint decor. Food was excellent. Smells are awesome. Will gladly go again when I am in the area.

Simply WONDERFUL. Amazing service and food. Nothing to complain about here. Very popular ,smaller location. I highly recommend MANGIA to anybody in the area. "No truck parking close".

Kevin Lawler

Awesome as always. I ordered something that used to be on the menu and Angelo made it anyway. That's why we keep going back.

Ruud Hoff

Angelo is a natural born chef. Knowing to cook excelent Italian food on a high level.

Ray Cote

Like being home a mama's house. Freash meals prepared and nice portions of food to feed the hungry. Order the best, the bill will always low because they let you bring in your wine. Love this place.

Jerry Ellner

This was once a good Italian Restaurant but no longer. Expect to wait over an hour for your entry and it is nothing special. The wait staff are inexperienced teenagers and you will have to ask them for anything you want, water, bread, menus if you do not ask they will ignore you. I was once a regular but after the last couple of times I have taken them off the list. The last time there I walked out after waiting over 90 minutes for dinner and they were busy but not full. Just not worth it with so many great Italian Restaurants in the Manchester area.

Stephen Priest

Call ahead and reserve a table before going, especially if you go on the weekend! This restaurant is small and popular! Why? Well, if it is because of the great service and food I received, well than, that must be the reason. Even though I didn't have a reservation, it was my first time, they did squeeze me in, but politely, gave me a time limit since my table, which wabbled a little, was reserved. I had the chicken marsala with penne. Garlic bread was offered to me while I waited the short time for my meal. My unsweetened iced tea was served with the lemon on a small plate by itself. My dessert was the house special, lemon bundt cake with Lemoncello filling, strawberry gelato with whipped cream and strawberries. The cappuccino was good. Parking may be limited, but, I found a spot on Elm Street. I was checked on by three different people, asking if I was enjoying my meal. Even the chef was friendly. Only issue, do you walk through the curtains at the entrance or wait behind it until the staff comes and gets you? Michael Palin wasn't standing there going "Someday, all this will be yours!":). I recommend this restaurant! Wifi available. Update: June,2019; Pollo parmigiana with fresh garlic bread, delicious! Lemon sorbet for dessert! Excellent

Fantastic food cooked to order

Tim McKinney

This is a very small family runned Italian restaurant with all meals cooked to order. It is a very relaxed.atmosphere where you can take your time to enjoy your guest and the dining. If you are in a hurry, use MickeyD's. You bring your own wine or beer or both as alcohol is poured for you but alcohol is not available for purchase on premises We have eaten there several times and had never been disappointed. Take some time and try it.

Ever order is made homemade to order.... OMG... FRESH is not the word.... You have to justcgo and try the food... Fantastic... The staff is out of this world. Great selection of wine... Small place but just the best...... Located on Elm St ......

Mikala Skalecki

Best Italian food that I have found since being back in the States! I was told that the seafood is purchased fresh in Boston and driven up; I was also told that the owner is from Italy and uses authentic recipes. The food is absolutely delicious; every time I go I try something new - there has not been a single entree, appetizer, or dessert that I haven't liked yet! Very warm and inviting environment. Great for family outings and date nights. Expect to stay for a while as the dishes are cooked per order...and bring your own wine :) highly recommend the Orecchiette with Bay Scallops and the Fettuccine Alfredo (add shrimp!). No more expensive than Olive Garden and 100x better.

Glenn Swinson

First, come here when you want to relax and take your time. You can BYO Wine (there is a corking charge per bottle). The gnocchi entree is great as an app for 4. Everything on the menu is very good\excellent. The atmosphere is very nice and service is alway great and friendly. Again, relax between each course, process is meant to take time so enjoy your food & friends. It's really fun if you are with Donald & Cynthia

My parents know the owner of this place, but that didn't give exceptions to making the food better. The Italian food here is incredible, possibly better than Olive Garden! Prices are great for the quality, too!

Eggplant bruschetta was unbelievably delicious

Kathy Vachon

Small Italian restaurant. One of our favorites. This is not a place to drop in for a quick bite. They make dishes to order. Dining to be enjoyed not rushed through.

Martha Carignan

Excellent food. BYOB with a small uncorking fee. The Pollo vildostana is my favorite, but everything on the menu is great. Small kitchen, so there may be a wait. However, you'll be happy after the wait!

Best authentic Italian cuisine that we have had outside of Italy. Great customer service. Excellent ambience especially for romantic dinners. Food experience was incredible. Take your time to enjoy every pleasure and you won't be disappointed. BYOB and reservations are required, and worth every minute.

Very nice. Food was great.

Make a reservation if you don't want to wait because you will wait. We made a reservation, unintentionally ended up getting there 20 minutes early and they sat us right away. It is very quaint and the atmosphere is quite comfortable. They do not rush to bring out your food; it's not that kind of place. But the food is delicious: great sauces, fresh salads, entrees are of reasonable quantity. And it's not really expensive. The wait staff are reserved and competent. Nice place to take your date, that is if you have a lot to talk about, or a couple of friends. Don't bring your young kids, it's not that kind of place either.

I wasn't at the restaurant that is only open from 5: pm to 9: pm, I was at the QC Bike Collective that helps people find alternative transportation and most times for free.

Jeff Klein

Small place where you get attentive service. Food is great as well.

Kathy McMahon

We loved Mangia, Manchester. This cozy Italian restaurant serves fabulous food. We loved the Marinated Dipping Oil appetizer. Our meals and dessert were also fabulous. BYOB (wine or beer) with corkage fee for wine only is a plus. Chilled glass provided for your beer.

Thomas Luster

Amazing service, atmosphere and food. Eaten all the big Italian places in manchester and also northend in boston and this by far one of the best. All food cooked to order so if you want a quick bite not the place for you. If you want a romantic or even eventful dinner experience this is the place to go. They dont serve wine at restaurant so if you do want to drink make sure bring your own wine!

The service was excellent. This is "homemade" food, no doubt & delicious. The portion sizes were right on. Casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Linda Seabury

One of the very few restaurants (not sure if there are any others) in Manchester that let's you bring your own wine. Food is freshly prepared so it may take a bit longer but the results are worth it!

Marco Protano

The BEST Italian cuisine in Manchester, NH. Angelo, an Italian born chef from Capri Italy, is the chef who makes ALL food to order using the freshest ingredients. He is caring, passionate and never disappoints but always pleases from catering to an individual meal in his restaurant. All are WOW! We liked him so much that he catered our wedding!

Will V

Awesome food! Appetizers were delicious and reasonable, and while we didn't order entrees, they other diners seemed to be enjoying them. Waitstaff was polite amd attentive even though they were very busy. Enjoyed our meal thoroughly. Would definitely go again- and would make a reservation next time. BYOB- but there is a huge state liquor store across the street.

Roland Arsenault

Know that you're going to wait, but you're going to get an amazing meal, individually crafted by an outstanding chef. As a party of 2 on a Saturday night, our 3-course meal lasted about 3 hours. It's well worth it, but don't go if you're in a hurry.

Jesper Froekjaer

Outstanding veal eggplant parmesan. Great service. Great expresso. Definitely coming back. Remember to bring your own wine.

Delicious best Italian food in Manchester

Carolyn Deans

An exceptional meal! Recommend reservations, especially for more than 2. Bring your own wine/beer, they will chill and open for an exceptional corkage fee. Plan to enjoy good conversation, this is not a fast dinner, and it shouldn't be. EVERYTHING is made from scratch when you order ! Every bite of everything I tried was exquisite. The service is great, perfect atmosphere. An absolute Gem - so glad we spotted it and turned around to come back. I will be there again tomorrow for dinner....and Everytime I am back in Manchester!

Gabriel Paci

Love the byo wine and beer concept. The food is traditional Italian. What I call "spagetti and meatballs" If you're into that, I highly recommend it. I prefer more modern, eclectic Italian fare. Worth going back just to bring our own wine. Corking fee is very reasonable at $4.50.

William Lacosse

Kevin Hartley

This place was absolutely amazing... The wait staff was so pleasant and made us feel super comfortable... The food takes a little bit but trust me... It's worth the wait! You will not be disappointed. Our food was outstanding... I had spaghetti Bella Napoli and my husband had beef ravioli... Both were incredible! It's BYOB so bring wine ( or beer) .... I assure you once you go... You will be a repeat customer. ❤

Eugene Mahn

Fresh, made to order Italian food. Great service and BYOB and wine. It's perfect. It's not fast, chain type service. It takes a while and it's perfect.

Virginia Davis

Excellent small authentic Italian place. The menu is full of interesting food options, and it is all cooked to order. I had such a hard time deciding on my first meal there, nevermind the extra options in the special menu. Be warned, they don't have a liquor license, so you will need to BYOB, but I don't consider that a real loss. My new go to Italian restaurant.

Avetis Ioannisyan

Genuine home style Italian good in NH. Something you would typically see in NJ.

Neal B

I almost don't want to leave a review so others don't find out about this place. Prepare for a 2 hour meal, but trust me, it's worth it... A bit of the North End of Boston on the south end of Elm, haha.

Jay Brewster

No need to go to the North End in Boston or Federal Hill in Providence. We now have the best Italian food in New England right here in Manchester.
