As you know, we don't usually stop to place opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Gyro restaurant.
Just went today. I love their stuffed grape leaves , they are more traditional. The food was very good, traditional and the staff are very friendly.
The woman taking our order was very rude with her bad attitude and zero patience. We will not order from here again. Very disappointing.
Love the food here
Good food and service
I work at the town fair tire on amherst st. And i order from main street gyro at least once a week. Their food is AMAZING!!! BEST CHICKEN GYRO I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! and their stuffed grape leaves are among the best ive had
Great food, friendly service -- just terrific!
Amazing food. Service was fast. Billy the owner is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Must visit again and I will drive the hour fifteen from cape cod just for their food.
Excellent service and quality food
Very tasty gyros, awesome friendly people.
Food was not great
The staff is very friendly. Remember our names and engage in friendly chatter. I enjoy the pork gyro which includes crispy fries and from scratch tzaki sauce. The hubby loves his chicken gyro dirty - with multiple sauces one of which is spicy. Also there is no shaming for mispronounced "year-o".
Amazingly authentic. Wish we could eat one of everything. Reminded me of our honeymoon in Athens and Santorini.
Good food, if a little dry
Friendly staff and fast service
Always friendly service, great food, gyros are really carved roasted meat not sausage..lamb is great. Prices low.
Not as good as Nashua house of pizza, but they put an interesting twist on their gyros, by putting the French fries inside the gyro.
Gyros are very good, and they are very accommodating with special orders. Very pleasant.
Such a unique resturaunt .. Deff great if you want something different then the everyday pizza shops! Owner is a doll ! Very well maintained place!
Awesome Gyros. The Chicken gyro with the tazatzki mixed with mustard sauce on it is delicious. Great small friendly place with awesome food!
Great food served in fast and made to order very friendly staff and the owner is very friendly sodas and juices I really enjoy the quality and price. Hours 11:00am til 10:00 pm
Good food, limited seating.
Amazing food, fast prep, and friendly service.
Had a falafel wrap and it was really good. People seem to be friendly and I loved the food. Will definitely come back.
Best gyros around as well as the other menu items. Awesome, friendly staff!
My wife has had Main St gyro many times and has raved about it. I tried it tonight for the first time and she wasn't wrong! It was amazing! Had the pork gyro, french fries, and loukoumades and everything was delciious. The pork in the gyro was tender and flavorful, pita was hot and soft...I will definitely be getting from here again, my only regret was not getting two gyros!! (Not that I would've been able to eat both since I was STUFFED after just one).
Amazing service and amazing FRESH food! Always keeps me coming back. Love it
Absolutely delicious. Dopest dope I've ever smoked.filled with ingredients and I just got the traditional. Can't wait to try more. Clean and very polite service. A bonus they have beer on tap
Solid place the Gryo place in manchester is way better
Good food, great location, very friendly staff
The owners were AMAZING and welcoming. The food was so good, especially the Greek fries.
Super good! Get the pork gyro!
Great Greek food in a friendly casual atmosphere. Gyros made from scratch, in several varieties and a Village salad (tomato centric) that makes you think "this is what tomatoes were put on earth for!"
Just good food, and fast friendly service. Thought I was back in Athens, Greece. The Gyros are authentic and the Lukamades add a nice finish.
Love this place. Bifteki gyros all the way.
Best ever...real gyros!!
Finally had a chance to try this place and was not disappointed. Lamb gyro has real shaved lamb in it instead of the minced stuff that most other places use in their gyros. Tziki is nice and thick and flavorful. I asked for some of their their “green monster” sauce to try and it gave the whole thing a nice spicy kick.
For solid greek-style fast food, this is a good spot. I really enjoy the chicken kabobs and the Spock mustard sauce
GREAT FOOD!!!
Stellar Mediterranean/Greek place. Try the hummus for sure, but don't forget about their staple gyro plates and lunches. Really great food at an excellent price point means there's no reason not to stop by when you're in the mood. I'd skip their side salads, the dressing is a little lacking- but that's not worthy of a star removal when the staff is friendly and helpful, service is very quick, and the food is priced this well for the volume and quality.
Great food
As friendly and welcoming as the pork and tzatziki are delicious. I'll be back!
Food is incredible, service was great and atmosphere is awesome. Clean and friendly, a must try!
Always really good food no matter what you choose.. Main street Nashua really needs a place to get gyro and schwarma and this place fits the bill.. Salads are really good as well, and the staff are always super friendly and accommodating.. warning that the gyros have fries inside.. Kind of a polarizing option for some but just fair warning you can ask for them to be served on the plate to avoid surprises.
Great gyros at a great price, the only better gyro I've ever had were the ones I've made myself (but who has the time for that?) If you haven't been here give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
great food, reasonable price. got extra hot sauce which was tasty
Veggie gyro is amazing. As a vegan, I requested no tzatziki, and they replaced it with hummus. It was delicious.
Get delivery from here sometimes at work. Always very good gyros, the pork or spicy chicken ones seems to be the best bet.
Traditional gyros was good and Tzatziki was home made.
My go-to spot downtown for a good sandwich.
Best gyros I've had yet.
Great gyros !
Great prices, amazing food. Chicken gyro dinner meal is the best. Hight recommended
Great spot for some delicious gyros and falafels. Highly recommend to try it out!
Main St. Gyro. Just when you thought a yeerow couldn't get any better, they go and stuff it to the top with delicious fries. Try the classic pork yeerow with a cool refreshing orangina on the side and you'll keep coming back for more I prosmise. This place is dime.
Decent food, reasonable speed in getting out food, adequate pricing, convenient location
Amazing fries and great service
Love the Souvlakis here. French fries are fantastic.
I was disappointed at the taste of the lamb gyro. I ordered two because I love Gyros....Well, I regret ordering two. I've tasted many gyros from different states(Not from NH) but the taste had here had no flavor. It was not very tasty at all. The lamb is the best flavored meat (imo) and they made it so bad. Even my gf ordered her with chicken and she didn't like it. It was 30 minutes before they were closing on a Thursday night but whatever the excuses or reasons are of why my experience was not as I had expected, they need to up their game.. I'm sorry but I ended up going to an Asian restaurant and I had a great time. If I'm ever in the area again this place will not be on my list. *sigh*
Not the best gyro I've had but it was quick, hit the spot, and the staff was really nice.
Best gyro and souvlaki place in Southern NH. Wish they had one near Manchester too!
Loved the my very first time very comfortable area an a very positive an polite employee's will be going there more often
Falafel is absolutely delicious
Delicious food! Had the lamb gyro and the Greek fries. Will definetely be coming back.
Great staff, serving awesome, fresh, authentic Greek food! Consistently excellent! Love love, love the tzatziki, sublimely wonderful! Every detail is perfect @
Inexpensive and delicious
Great food
The falafel is fresh and delicious. Everything we have tried has been superb! Very kind staff, and clean and cheerful interior. Outdoor seating with umbrellas also available.
Great food, employees are nice
Lamb gyro was very tasty, and the staff were friendly!
The owner is a very good person. Will be back.
So good!!
So delicious! We always have to come here when we're in town. You can get pork or chicken or lamb or veggie or falafel gyros. My husband loves their rice bowl with pork. All the meat is so tender and juicy. If you manage to save room for dessert, which is hard to do with the generous servings, the Loukoumades (fried dough with nuts) is mouthwatering good. There's also baklava or honey yogurt with nuts. There is also parking behind the restaurant.
Absolutely amazing joint. Local family owned and operated. Genuine Greek cuisine the was its ment to be done.
Great, quick food, with a few beers on tap. Great for a quick weekday lunch when it's 12, but already way too long of a day.
Oh this place! I have nothing but the highest praise for Main Street Gyro. They have free parking which is a rarity in a city. The staff are so nice and friendly and I love going in just to hear them welcome everyone. The food is to die for. I always get a chicken gyro when I go and it won't disappoint. Their fries are a delight too! The environment is great with cute little window seats at the front and paintings of Greece all around. It's a must go!
We love this place! The gyros are always good, and their fries are great. My husband absolutely loves their Loukoumades and requests them when we get food here. The prices are reasonable too!
Only been here once, but my food was awesome. People are nice
really delicious food! Spot on Greek counter service food, would highly recommend going there. As well the staff were extremely accommodating and just overall pleasant to speak with! The restaurant was extremely cleanly and well lit.
Great place for Greek faire. Good bifteki
Good stuff. Not fancy, but fast friendly and tasty. You get a very good portion for your money in this lunch counter style restaurant. Not super crazy about their lamb as it seems a bit dry to me the few times I've had it, but the pork and the chicken are great. Recommendation: Get the mustard on the chicken gyro (I don't think its traditional, but it's quite tasty.)
I ordered lamb gyro. It comes with fries inside the gyro and I was a little surprised. The taste was delicious. The staff was very nice and friendly.
Yummy food for a great price
Love this place owner is wicked down to earth guy and the workers are cool to
Good food with quick service at an affordable price
Great lunch grab and go authentic Greek food.
Yum! The Greek fries are to die for.
Whenever I'm downtown, this is one of those places I always need to stop in. The food is always awesome with great service, too!
If you're looking for authentic Greek food, look no further than Main Street Gyro! I've been coming back weekly since my first visit last year. I always feel welcome from the moment I arrive. The consistently fresh and made-to-order food always hits the spot, especially before heading out on a long drive. The clean atmosphere and Greek music make the experience all the more authentic and enjoyable. Basil, Travis, and the rest of the staff are excellent! Always smiling and happy to quickly whip up my go-to gyro (If you haven't tried the falafel gyro, you're missing out!!) Oh, and they're now serving Loukoumades!
Lamb Gyro was off the chain =)
Fantastic Gyros at a great price. Their 1/2 village salad with pork is also really good. These folks really know their stuff. Highly recommended.
Great Greek cuisine and friendly couple waiting to serve you.
I am in love with the gyros here. Best around!!!! Phenomenal service!!!!! Every time!!!!!
An excellent restaurant with delicious, quality food, a simple atmosphere, and good service. The gyros are very good.
No comment t on the food I refused to eat it after the owner refused my service animal and wouldn't even tell me personally and yelled at my friend instead. I was at his other establishment earlier in the day called 7star pizza just a few blocks down and they gave me a hard time. With me contributing to both businesses and refusing a service animal is outrageous and instead of making a big deal out of it I threw away the food I paid for and I left. I Will not be contributing to either business anymore.
This is my go-to whenever I'm feeling up for a gyro! Always top notch!
Ever since I went to Crete, Greece I have not been able to find a gyro that stood up to the ones I had on that beautiful island. I had mostly given up on trying to find any in America but I had to give this place a try due to the ratings. It is 99% accurate to the way they are served there. The lamb gyro especially is incredible. Well done guys.
Bifteki Gyro is a really good! It's like eating a hamburger with fries in it! Definitely coming back here to order more!
Stopped here for the first time for a quick lunch today. Can't find anything to knock - my wife got the lamb gyro and I got the bifteki gyro, which is a mixture of pork and beef. Both of us were impressed with our gyros, which unlike traditional gyros had seasoned fries on them. No complaints about that. I'll take my americanized gyro. The rest of the menu sounds very good and I'm really looking forward to trying more. Added pluses: they deliver, and they serve alcohol. 4 drafts - 2 macro and 2 local microbreweries, and $6 glasses of wine. Definitely a nice little perk to coming here.
I ordered a Lamb Gyro dinner and what I got was a pork gyro with Tsi Tsi sauce that consisted of plain sour cream. The fries and Gyro were cold which I threw away the fries and only ate half of the gyro. The best part of the dinner was the salad even thought I had to add my own salad dressing.
Really good gyro
Very Friendly,Tasty, & clean place!
Best gyros in the area, and excellent customer service!
The absolute worst gyro I've ever had. Go to Nashua House of Pizza you can get the real thing.
Found this Gyro shop in the heart of Main St. Friendly and fast service with a modern checkout. Lamb Gyro was deliciously seasoned and my first with fries right in the wrap. Picked and ate them first :). I shall return!
Sorry, but no like your food.
The pork gyro and the falafel are so amazing i've never eaten pork thats that good in my life. It tastes like bacon had sex in my mouth.
Tasty, authentic gyros!
Yum! Plus they deliver! Not cheap but for really decent food, not too expensive either.
Fresh food, affordable price. I love their chicken!
Excellent food, friendly staff, and good atmosphere. They run a good gyro shop.
Best Gyros in town!
Much better than McDonald's! That's what the clerk said. And it was. Had the lamb gyro and it was great. Real lamb - not that pressed meat stuff. All wrapped up and ready to eat while walking around downtown.
This was our first time here and was blown away by the food. Extremely flavorful. I'm going to make sure I come back to try different menu items.
I was amazed by the price and the taste of Gyros food.
Really delicious vegetable gyro, really well served, fresh salad on side or rice,,,A nice takeout for a busy day or even to stop by and eat in!friendly staff affordable prices
Great Food, Nice Service, exactly what you would expect and want!
Great gyro, took out fries by request
Great little place! Delicious Greek food with plenty of veggie options too.
Great Greek Food
Stopped by on a trip to Nashua and was not disappointed. The gyros and fries were amazing and there was even gluten free options. Prices were decent and the staff was helpful.
I love Gyro's. A LOT.. and being new in town I really wanted this place to be good. HOWEVER.... I went with the Lamb Gyro, the shaved lamb was a bit stringy, very dry, and super salty. I asked to keep my fries on the side since NH is the only place I have ever seen anyone put fries in a Gyro. But all in all it was disappointing. I will however give them a second chance, perhaps it was a bad batch of meat.
Really tasty! I had the traditional pork gyro and it was delicious. The place is really clean and nice looking and the staff is very polite. Definitely recommend!
Very authentic
Food is good. Good portions and not too expensive
This place has amazing food professional people and fast drivers for delivery. keep up the good work 10 stars here
My husband and I stopped by last fall for a quick bite on our way home. This quick stop turned into an hour long wait. We were there before the evening rush started. Once the rush started everything just went down hill. To the owners and management please please please retrain your staff on food preparation. Your food is assembled at the front of house. Make sure you have staff who accurately represent your business rules and standards at the forefront of your business.
Great place to get excellent gyros. That being said, they consistently close 10-15 minutes before their stated hours. I understand a customer coming in last minute can be frustrating, however open hours are open hours. If you do not wish to be open at 9:50pm, I'd recommend changing your hours to reflect that. It would be made a little better if the employees were kind or apologetic, but instead they are rude and dismissive. While I love the food and the owner is a great guy, these experiences take a lot away from quality of their product.
Ordered the Half Village with Double Chicken. These guys know what theyre doing. The owner treats his employees right and makes some real good baklava. Will definitely keep going back.
Great for a quick lunch that isn't burgers or burritos.
Favorite place in town!
Good food but my order was a little wrong. I still enjoyed it
Order was over 30 minutes late and food was mediocre. Next time I’ll drive to a different restaurant for a better experience than settling for the “convenience” of Main Street Gyro.
Best gyros shop north of Boston what are you doing right now get here and feed your inner Greek
This place is excellent. Their Loukoumades are to die for especially with the honey sauce drizzled on it. You can tell they put tons of love into their food. Good job
Sooooo good. Try the traditional pork gyro. Highly recommend.
Nashua is fortunate to have three good Mediterranean restaurants, and Main Street Gyro is in the top in my book. This is a small place with limited seating but great for takeout. The gyros are as good as you will get in Nashua, with Cedar's a close second. The falafel is very good, a close second to Cedar's. The chicken souvlaki is perfectly cooked, also a close second to Cedar's which I think does a better job with spices. The food is fresh, the service good and friendly. The menu is a bit limited but everything I've had is consistently good. I personally prefer Cedar's but if you're near downtown, this is a great choice. The third restaurant, Masa, is pretty good and has more menu variety and better seating, but the quality of the food is better at both Cedar's and Main Street. Recommended!
The food is so tasty, my mouth is watering thinking of it. I've only been here twice and I'm absolutely loving this place. It's a clean little comfy resturant in a good location. The parking can be a little tricky whereas there's no lot but usually there's parking on the street. I gave it 4 stars instead of the 5 because I feel the staff could be a little more friendly and attentive. I get the Falafel gyro with olives and it's to die for. The Greek fries are fabulous and Will get your taste buds jumping around. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place if your in the mood for mediterranean.
Good food, fast service, and quiet.
Decent small family type business. Food is alright, had the gyros and in my opinion they were bland in flavor. The food quality is good but, probably needs a bit more flavor in the sauce and on the meats. The staff was friendly but, it is a place I would recommend for a light lunch on a warm day as parking can be tricky.
Fantastic gyros and low prices.
Love the felafel gyro as a vegetarian option. I don't typically like tzatziki sauce but theirs is really good. Somehow they were out of hummus when I last visited.
Ordered the pork gyro and the pork didn't have much taste at all
Chicken gyro is effing amazing....spicy mustard to die for....basil and Steph are wonderful to talk to....addicted to this place
Delicious authentic Greek food!
Awesome service and awesome people. Great food
Chicken gyro was delicious! Great friendly service!
Received delivery. The fired dough balls were very soggy and thick in texture, the middles were very doughy and grainy. The lamb gyro was stringy.
Main Street Gyro offers authentic Greek street food. The gyro, of which there are often four types, start with meat carved from the spit (unless you're hungry for a vegetarian option gets put together on the grill). Both big in size and taste, the gyros are offered in chicken, lamb, bifteki (a mix), and my favorite gyro, pork. That said, my favorite items on the menu are the salads with meat from the spit, the best (in my opinion) being the 1/2 village salad with sliced chicken or pork. There are other Mediterranean options on the menu sure to delight those that enjoy olives, feta, hummus and folks with a sweet tooth for honey based desserts will be delighted. Finally, while not highlighted, you can enjoy a cold local beer from draft or glass of wine.
Tasty food at a reasonable price. Try the lamb!
Nice selections! Had one of the rice bowl. Deeeeeelicious!!!
I went to gyros and ordered a rice bowl with Chicken, I could not identify the meat but I should have ordered the skewers which is what I will do next time. Very disappointed in what I ordered. stuck at work and can't order something else. Booooooooooo
Excellent food! It's my favorite casual dining.
These guys probably have the most authentic gyros in the city. The cook shaves lamb from a shank roasting on a spit and it's extremely tender. Prices are higher for a sandwich place but it's more than worth it.
I moved to Nashua earlier this year from Newton, MA. Newton is known for having an abundance of outstanding restaurants and I was not ready to give up all the amazing delicacies that area had to offer. Ever since I've moved to Nashua I have been cycling through every pizza, sub, and sandwich shop in town trying to build a solid lunch roster and in four months of living here the only place that has truly won my heart has been Main Street Gyro.
Just returned from Greece and this is the real deal!! Loved the lamb giro!!
The food is delicious the owner is great and his staff is amazing if you like Greek food this is the place to be
Food is good, but DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY! Literally every time you order delivery, it is 30+ minutes late, cold, and it is sad because the food itself is so good. I have had items ordered not delivered as well. YMMV but avoid ordering delivery from them at all costs in my opinion. They should either stop offering delivery or get their act together.
