We were first time patrons tonight. We went downtown for dinner, because it's a nice night. Firefly was the nearest place from where we parked, and we're lazy, so it was a no brainer. We had drinks, apps, soup, main course AND dessert. Everything was delicious, food came quickly, our server was great and staff were friendly. Plus, the patio is heated so we ate outside, and the ladies room was super toasty. There's no question we'll go back.

Perhaps my favorite restaurant in Manchester. Great staff and service coupled with a rotating, innovative seasonal drink menu make this a go-to for both lunch and dinner, or a classy bar. The outdoor seating is also a nice break from Elm St.

Came here for a Mother's Day Brunch and all I can say is AMAZING!!! Our server, Zack was awesome. The food was phenomenal. My breakfast margarita was heaven in a glass. If you're in the Manchester NH stop by. I'll definitely back❤❤❤

Wife and I eat here after a venue at SNHU arena. Was overcrowded,loud,cold and the food was not worth the large bill. Our waiter was great but clearly overwhelmed. Our table was crammed into a corner, our appetizer was underooked and came out 30 mins before our meal. Our dinner was underooked also which was fish so there was not saving it. Seems to be a bit or miss location. We may try again but anytime soon.

Excellent food. We had the calamari, Thai style, which was perfect. I had the roast duck on a bed of ravioli and duck confit. Order that if you like duck. Really reasonable prices, good atmosphere, and a really helpful and courteous waitstaff. I would, and will, go back!

Went there once for brunch, and did not even know we made it for brunch. This place is fancy. They open for brunch, close for a few hours, and then reopen for dinner. Upscale, but the prices are reasonable for a high class place. The plates at these types of restaurants is ~$30 for a steak or equivalent. Only rated 4 stars because I felt the brunch menu was a little shallow. I was not in the mood for eggs, and did not have much to choose from otherwise.

My two oldest daughters and I went to Firefly last evening before going to see Mama Mia at the Palace. The food was sooo good but the service was even better. Our server was so good to us, she was very personable and she was like a friend and funny. We didn't feel rushed and had a very pleasant time. Thank you so much for a great experience.

The food was just delicious. Ordered chicken piccata from their classics, it was perfectly cooked. Creme brulee dessert in particular was simply scrumptious. Although it was Saturday night and the restaurant was packed, the service was pretty quick. Ambience of the restaurant is good too. The staff is very friendly. There is parking in front of the restaurant. Reservation is recommended especially on weekends.

Our server was amazing! I wish I got her name. We were a very large group and she was right on top of things. All of the orders were right and she remembered who ordered what. So friendly too! Now, let's talk about the incredible food! So yummy! A very unique menu with lots of must tries. I got the shrimp and grits and was wonderful. I like that all the salads can be ordered as a large and a small. That is a nice touch. Oh and the drink menu has lots of interesting drinks! Great place!

My husband and I have been here several times and have never had a meal that was less than excellent. The duck and the scallops are both tremendous, as are the crab cakes. The drinks are creative and always yummy. My husband has always been satisfied with the beer selection. The service is wonderful and prompt every time. We will be back many more times, I'm sure.

OMG what a night. We loved Firefly. I goofed and made a reservation for the wrong night but the hostess was amazingly understanding and helpful and was able to get it party a table. The food was delicious and all the staff was incredible. They were all so friendly and fun. It was a great night. We even ended up ordering 5 desserts because the menu looked so good and it didn't disappoint! Can't wait to go back!

We got married in September 2019 and chose Firefly to host our reception lunch. They had come highly recommended as a great venue with great food. We were not disappointed. We worked with their event coordinator to make sure everything was set up to our liking and picked the menu from a list of dishes they would have ready to go. They were super accommodating to our party. We had a quiet area away from the main restaurant so as not to be interrupted or disturb the other customers. The service was phenomenal and the food was extremely delicious. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we got comments afterwards about how much everyone enjoyed the venue and food. We would highly recommend working with Firefly to anyone in the future.

Had a great experience here. The service was excellent and they are a very dog friendly restaurant. They brought water and dog treats for our puppy. My wife and I shared a salad and a burger and they separated them both for us. We will definitely be back the next time we are traveling through the area with our dog.

First off - parking was tricky. Now that the negatives are out of the way, the food was delicious - tried a steak wrapped in bacon with some veggies and mashed potatoes. Not very adventurous, I know, but tasty nonetheless. Also tried to french onion which was one of the better offerings in that category that I've ever had. Now, the highlight - the maple bacon martini. House infused vodka and this baby was out of this world. Not too much on the bacon flavor, but the maple flavor was explosive right from the first taste. So delicious and enjoyable. Sometimes an adventurous martini can be disasterous, but this was done exceedingly well. Would go back again in a heartbeat, even if just for the martini!

Raspberry fizz beverage was pretty enjoyable but could’ve been served colder vs close to room temp. I had the duck entree and from the menu description sounded pretty delicious. I was pretty let down by the over all dish. The dish the food was served in was pretty cold which in return I’m assuming aiding in the raviolis being only semi warm. With a description of cast iron roasted duck breast, I would expect a crisp skin on the breast. The duck breast had little to no crisp at all and was also pretty tough and fatty, as if it hadn’t had time to render down and crisp in the cast-iron pan. Visited Saturday just before 5p, before the evening crowds had arrived.

The tall hostess with brown hair and glasses always has a very unwelcoming look on her face all three times I have been here, as if I am bothering her by wanting to dine here. Maybe one day I will see her smile. However, the service is great and I absolutely LOVE the grilled chicken farfalle. Bowtie pasta is the perfect combination with Pesto. The other people I have brought with me have had the salmon, bacon wrapped bistro steak, braised lamb shank, Firefly black bean burger. All AMAZING! The presentation of the food is gorgeous and the taste is delicious. I definitely recommend to everyone. I have only lived in Manchester for 8 months but this is one of my favorites by far.

Disappointed - ordered a large Caesar salad - looks like a small and no parmesan cheese on top - that's half the reason one gets this salad. the take out has become less than stellar the past few times I have been there. Need to find a new lunch spot.

Walked in with no reservation on a Saturday at 6. The restaurant was packed, but we were immediately seated outside on the covered patio, which was fine, as it was a nice night. Service was prompt and attentive. A (very) little bit of bread before dinner. The menu had a nice selection of American fare, reasonable prices for downtown Manchester, nice wine list, plenty of assorted cocktails and beer available. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Overall, a great experience.

We came here on a road trip from Rochester to Portland. The outside patio is covered and pet friendly. The staff all welcomed us and our dog. They even brought him a bowl of water that was bigger than him. For accessibility, parking is easy with a lot right by the door and bathrooms are accessible. Very easy to navigate in a wheelchair. The food was great. We got crab cakes and asked to split the steak special - the staff were very accommodating with our requests.

I've been there a few times now and ever since I recently started going I instantly regretted how long I waited to try this place. In the last few weeks of going it has already become my go-to for a great cocktail and a tasty meal. The Firefly 'Ol fashioned and the blueberry lavender lemonade are by far the best two cocktails I've had in this city.

We stopped coming to Firefly a few years ago, after several tries, because the food had been inconsistent. Tonight we tried again and we were disappointed. Made a reservation online, in advance and asked for a booth. Upon arrival we were placed at a small table with another small table one foot away. So much for a quiet romantic dinner. We ordered the “Go-Go Bread” which had been a favorite... yuck, it was thick and pasty like it had been sitting around. It had the consistency of oatmeal that had been sitting for around. My steak tips were ordered medium. Three tips came on the plate... one was rare, one was medium well and one was medium. I left the rare one cut open, uneaten on my plate to show the waitress but I never had the opportunity. She barely slowed down as she passed by and said “everything good?” She never returned except to ask if I wanted a box... no reference to the way undercooked piece of meat in my plate. She really didn’t seem to care and never asked how we liked our dinner, just whether we wanted dessert. It was a disappointment and we won’t be back again.

Not a thing they can't do for you. I walked by this place thousands of times until about a year ago when I finally stepped inside. I DON'T know why I waited so long! What an incredible place. I am gluten free and vegan and they happily accommodate my needs and allow me to make my own plate of my liking! Everything is cooked to order and no menu item is off limits. I love this place and cannot wait to go back

Was there on a Tuesday and a Thursday a couple hours before closing. Not very busy at that time. I got the shrimp and grits and carrot cake, and the next time I got the beef short ribs, a marmalade whiskey sour and the lemon cake. It was all amazing. I love this place. Great flavors, all parts of each dish were prepared perfectly, flavorful and delicious. Can't wait to go back!

This is a favorite spot for a nice meal out, and it didn't disappoint. We had a seat out on the patio and started with a blueberry lemon sangria. It was great. It had the tartness from the lemon, but the smoothness from the wine. The clam chowder was chocked full of clams and potatoes. It was creamy and delicious! I got the eggplant napoleon, and my s.o. got the special of the day which was scallops and asparagus with a light cream sauce. We finished with vanilla creme brulee and lemon cake. The food was fabulous, delicious and very satisfying. Can't wait to go back again.

Went to celebrate a friend's 60th. Nice place, though seating for us was a bit less than desirable. Chilly and very snug for only 8 people. Cake fee of 1.50 per slice seems over the top. When questioned they removed the fee. I'd go as a dinner for 2, bit not as a celebratory meal.

We had a very nice Sunday brunch here today. Our server, Bradford was very attentive, engaging and helpful when we asked directions on leaving. The food was excellent, delicious and well-prepared and presented. Our only complaint was the twenty minute wait to be seated at a table that was set and ready to go when we arrived at the restaurant.

We received raw chicken!! The gorgonzola cheese "gogo" bread dish came out cold, not even room temp. We were charged 1$ for extra bread which was not disclosed to us prior to seeing our check. The cider margarita was very weak, but had good flavor. My stuffed haddock was good but the asparagus could have been better cooked for the price point. My boyfriend's chicken Piccatta (sp?) Had one cooked breast filet and one severely undercooked filet. We tried to flag down a waiter but had difficulty doing so. We shared my food then I ate some of his but didn't care for the dish. The sauce was not as good the second time around. At no point did a manger apologize to us until we asked to speak to one as we left. Our check stayed the same and we were not comped for any of our negative experience. The manager simply offered us a free round of drinks the next time we return. I will not be returning as I also tried the chicken to see what was wrong with it and it was severely undercooked and unsafe to consume. I'm sure this is not everyone's experience, but we were totally disgusted. Our waiter Patrick, was very sweet and we enjoyed him.

Disappointing :( I discovered firefly after wandering in one night and being told there was a 2.5 hour wait - a wait like that is a good sign in my book! We decided to skip that night but made a reservation for the following Friday. I was excited to eat here after reading rave reviews online. While the service was excellent, the food was seriously subpar. We ordered calamari to start and it was served soaking wet which completely defeated the fried aspect of the dish. It tasted briney, like it had been doused in pickle juice. Our main courses weren't any better. I ordered Murray's chicken and my sister and husband had steak. Every dish was severely overcooked. My chicken couldn't be drier and steaks that were ordered medium and medium rare were served well done. One was so well done it achieved "hockey puck" status. The sides were mashed potato and broccoli and they looked like someone ran to the nearest hospital and borrowed what they could find in the cafeteria. Totally flavorless and completely overcooked. My sister commented that the potatoes tasted like they came from a packet and the broccoli was so oversteamed it had wilted. Kind of impressive for such a hardy vegetable. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because our server was so great. She was attentive and when my husband mentioned his steak was burnt, she asked if he wanted another. He didnt want to wait for a new steak to be cooked and isn't keen on food waste so he requested some A1 and drowned it. Our server took the steak off the bill without being asked which we appreciated. We didn't want to seem high maintenance or ungrateful so we didnt complain about any other dish. I still feel it's important to share our experience with others, I hope this feedback is valuable to the team at firefly as well.

Let’s just start with the scallops that were in the Shrimp & Scallop Scampi...Phenomenal! The food is as delicious it sounds when you are reading the menu. Now onto the untouchable Customer Service... wow! Perfect timing from ordering to refills, completely attentive without over doing it. The whole experience is everything you’d expect as soon as you walk through the door. Atmosphere is fun, laid back and everything you desire on a Friday evening after a long work week.

I have been to the Firefly on many occasions. I've always been happy with the food etc. But this day i was disappointed. It was extremely busy so I'm sure the kitchen was even moreso. I ordered biscuits and gravy and that was disappointing. The biscuits were hard as rocks. The gravy was great and the side of eggs and grits was great! So all and all it won't stop me from going back!

It was our first time here and you can tell they care about fresh ingredients. Probably had one of the best veggie burgers I’ve had ever here. Everything was so fresh from the tomatoes to the perfect avocado. Our waitress Kali was really great as well! We will definitely be back here, loved it.

Always excellent. Every time we've been there we've had great food and drinks. Highly recommended for people that like good fresh food. The service has always been excellent and a pleasant atmosphere.

So we walk in at 340 on a Sunday afternoon the maitre d ask us if we're there for dinner we replied yes she grabbed menus then stands up and looks at us and says we don't serve dinner until 4 we can't even put an order in until 4 in the kitchen because they get mad at us so there's no lunch option only dinner and we have to wait till 4 we then get seated decided that we would check out the menu get some drinks and put our order in well no one came to the table for about 5 minutes to even say hello bring us water mind you there were maybe 8 people in the place. Finally an old man came up that apparently is in love with his ancient biceps and his wrinkly skin because he's he had his sleeves rolled up to show off his 70 year old pipes LOL he was a joke so we ask to see the manager instead of the manager coming to see us the maitre d came back again just repeating we don't serve dinner until 4 well we were putting on our coats by then and decided to leave. Now we were giving them another chance from a previous time we were there when the food quality and service was subpar years ago when they first opened it was a decent place with hard-working staff but I fear they've had to hire people in this economy that are not up to standards with what they used to be. As we were walking out the old man with the wrinkly skin and funny biceps you know the one with the sleeves rolled up to make sure that everybody sees them he gets in my face and tells me you have a great day now being very very condescending he acted ridiculous he was giggling and laughing as we were walking out. My wife felt so uncomfortable and my son sensed his mother feeling that way himself. It was truly a awful experience. There are far too many restaurant choices in the downtown Manchester area to be acting the way these employees acted. I hope the manager or owner of firefly and other places reads this and at least speaks with his employees. Of course they will lie to cover their own butts but I assure you it went down this way so we went to another restaurant down the road and drop just under $95 and had a fantastic time good service coming in the door timely waitresses Pleasant and great food the first time they weren't worried about putting an order in and upsetting the kitchen staff and even if that is the case you don't share that with the customer this place has gone downhill bad. Maybe if they all weren't socializing with each other the employees I mean watching hockey on the bar TV chit-chatting they could have gotten something done but I don't think this staff that they had on was capable of that. So those of you that just want to take your family out for a good dinner maybe your spouse is getting over a horrible disease like cancer which was our case and we just wanted to be together as a family and have a good meal we couldn't get that at Firefly. We will never ever return to that restaurant.
