After looking at all those great food photo's at 10.30 pm tonight, I'm getting hungry again! Don't get anxious about the per pound food prices.........because this is dense, real food, a little goes a LONG ways. After eating my salad/soup then entree's, I've just never made it to those yummy looking deserts! Except when I celebrated my birthday at the restaurant four weeks ago with a in-house made delicious carrot cake including some vegan ice cream with friends.............All loved every bite! it was such a huge cake, I still have some in the freezer to attack soon! don't just take my word for it..........Eating is Believing! Thanks again Peggy and team, Gary Davis.

Discovered this delicious and delightful vegetarian restaurant while heading for the parking garage...tried a sample of lentil soup but then opted for the buffet. Biggest surprise was the barbque tofu!

This is a fantastic place to visit. If your looking for some real fresh home cooking that's vegan, delicious and healthy then this is the "Must Stop Here" place. There are certain times for different dishes on their web site. But when you come in it's buffet style and you are charged by the weight. I would say it's a fair price for real healthy fresh home cooked food. And they don't gouge you on the dessert either like most places do. For the quality of the dessert I had (which not many could compare) I think it was all a fair price. The staff here (or owners, not sure) are just super super friendly and are ready for any questions you may have about the food. You feel like you have just been welcomed in to someones real home kitchen, no kidding. If I lived here I would be here all of the time. It's a real relaxed casual atmosphere. Nothing fancy just cozy home like. I not only enjoyed their food but the hospitality was a whole additional part that made the experience wonderful. There were plenty of regulars here and I can see why. A must try is their vegan cheese cake. It was just scrumptious. It was just freshly made and it was not the frozen kind to keep it together. I don't know if this had a cashew base or what but the texture was so much like a regular cheese cake and with that real cheese cake flavor too. Besides some berries, they also had their own whip cream to put on it. Can't say enough about that either. I remember it was almond and coconut based. Even if your just looking for a real good vegan dessert treat then just stop in for that. You will love it. I know I will be back here every time I'm in this area for vacation from now on. A BIG thumbs up !

I am not sure how anyone that is at least open minded about plant based eating could give Country Life anything less than 5 stars. The hot bar, salad bar and deserts, are all amazing. The owners are always courteous and helpful. If you are lucky enough to see one of their pizzas in the freezer when you are there, don't pass on it. In my opinion, it sets the gold standard for vegan pizza.

Salad bar is always fresh and festive with a large variety of veggies to make your salad a work of art. Hot bar is delicious also with a vegetarian cuisine. Community cooking classes are also offered once a month to learn more visit for a lunch. PS the desserts are scrumptious also. Enjoy and be inspired. A must stop for me when I'm visiting the area. Exceptional quality foods.

For me this is the best restaurant in northern New England. They have both wonderful salad and hot bars which change daily. Likewise two soups and a desert bar. All is self-serve, so that you can enjoy a meal taking on as much time as you have - and/or - take-out.

This is a cute little place in downtown Keene. They had a hot and a cold bar with tasty and very, very fresh vegetarian and vegan food. Large choice of items. I think vegetarian restaurants have to work harder by providing excellent food to draw a larger clientele. The lady who ran this place and did most of the cooking is a very dedicated soul, friendly and helpful. Felt so healthy after this meal. It rare and ideal stop on a long drive through many food deserts. BRAVO!

This it the only vegan buffet I've found in the Northeast and the food is all delicious. Tofu scramble, lasagna, "crab" cakes, apple pie, key lime pie, cookies, cupcakes, GF pancakes. It was my girlfriend's birthday when I visited, I mentioned it offhand while talking with the restaurant owner and she ended up giving my girlfriend a cookbook as a gift!
