Wonderful breakfast! There were four in our party and the vote was unanimous--we will be back again. Everything was cooked to perfection and our server couldn't have been more pleasant and attentive. Sit on the porch, relax, and enjoy!

Took my niece here this morning. Third time going recently and food was not up to par, in comparison to when it first opened. My nieces pancake was good. No concerns. I ordered 2 fried eggs which were perfect but the fruit in my fruit yogurt dish was mushy and not fresh. The way the fruit was, it shouldve been tossed. I was very disappointed. The waitress seemed overwhelmed. Courteous but not too outgoing. I most likely wont be going here again for a while.

Always a pleasant experience here. Both breakfast and lunch are carefully prepared and presented. The bread and muffins are delicious. The service is always friendly and efficient. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff seems happy to see you no matter how busy it is, not always the case in some places! Fast becoming our new favorite place.

First trip to this restaurant. It was recently renovated and I believe has a new chef owner. Tried the prime rib which was on special for the night. Well cooked with good sides. Service was good and prices were very reasonable. A great find in a small country town. I will return.

food is good but the bad service wrecked the experience. It's nice that they have veteran parking. However, the service was awful with SUPER long waiting for waitstaff and for check. if the place had a better ratio of waitstaff to tables, and wait staff that wouldn't walk by my table numerous times and no attention/won't even look at me, it would be great. There were empty tables and numerous seats at the bar so... Due to the poor wait staff every time I've been, I think I'm done trying this place.

Our experience was just odd. The AC wasn’t working properly so the table two down from us opened a window only to get reprimanded. About 15 minutes it got unbareable and I asked our waitress if I could please open it. I cracked it for relief and then also got reprimanded that the window open “made the AC keep breaking.” Anyway, AC aside food was only OK. The hash was weird. A pile of hashbrowns covered with pieces of corned beef. Hardly any flavor. My eggs benny had little sauce and the same hashbrowns were so bland. The best part was the ham on my eggs benny, that’s it. Overpriced, disorganized (I could hear an argument in the kitchen) and not a pleasant staff other than our own waitress (New I can’t remember her name) who was happy and polite.

Our server and food were excellent. The management staff left something to be desired. It was a busy Sunday morning yet they had us wait while there were empty tables. I'd be much more patient and understanding if I was sitting at a table waiting rather than looking at empty tables. And the person, that I assume is the owner, was rude and seemed upset she had customers. I live close by but not sure I would return because of her attitude.

The food is very good. This restaurant has undergone a major transformations both in food quality and in the premises. Very easy to find on main road through town Rt 150. Open Wednesday through Sunday for breakfast and lunch. Recently they are now serving dinner Friday and Saturday 5-9. My only criticism is they stopped making cinnamon rolls on the weekends. Try this place you will like it.

I've only been twice so far, but both visits were top notch. On the NH seacoast, there are lots of great breakfast options, but Country Brook Cafe in Kensington and Copper Lantern in North Hampton stand above the rest. The ambiance alone of Country Brook sets it apart. It has a very rustic yet clean feeling. Everything is well kept and yet still has a bit of rural country style to it. As for the food, extra large portions with top quality ingredients with a focus on local. And of course, real NH maple syrup. Started with fresh baked cinnamon buns with a very sweet yet smooth cream cheese frosting. The corned beef omelette had large fresh cut pieces of meat...not even in the same universe as cheap canned corned beef. Fresh spinach, peppers and a good bit of cheddar made the omelette practically burrito sized! Round it out with fresh local coffee and it's a breakfast that can't be beat.

Delicious, local food! Service was friendly but sometimes doing tasks in another room rather than being attentive to my table. Nice ambiance, with outdoor seating. When the front door is opened a lot of wind blows in the door. In summer, no big deal, but when people enter the front door of restaurant in the winter, it feels like a polar vortex. Perhaps an entryway would help buffer the chill. Would recommend this restaurant, and I will return.

My wife, daughter, her friend and her Mom went for brunch and they RAVED about the cafe... all had an excellent meal, wonderful mimosas and GREAT service. They said everything was cooked perfectly and delicious, and they really enjoyed sitting out on the porch... thumbs up from all of them. Alas, I was at work, but I did get a yummy biscuit out of it!

Someone took a nice neighborhood restaurant and turned it into a fancy,high priced white gloves type of eating establishment . Us blue collar locals can no longer afford to go there. The rich border jumpers apparently like it though.

Just had breakfast here! Unfortunately the food was not good and overpriced. We both ordered omelets (2 different ones) just looking at them you knew they were over cooked and the first bite revealed that salt was abundantly used. The potatoes were not cooked correctly-mushy etc! The three workers Were very disorganized-on their cell phones at times! We can have a delicious omelet for 1/2 the price! Will not eat omelets here again. We have had dinner in the past that was good yet very expensive! Do not mind paying for farm fresh quality food if indeed it is cooked well and the service is good

Great little local joint with all the basic breakfast stuff. The old guys are always sitting at the counter drinking coffee, the wait staff is very friendly, coffee is always fresh, and the food is good. This isn't like the gentrified, haute cuisine stuff in Portsmouth - this is the good townie breakfast spot.

The new management will run this place into the ground. So many people waiting for tables with nobody cleaning tables. The wait staff were doing their best in the chaos. One server did nothing but stomp their feet and mumble angrily, not professional at all. The food was a split between amazing or a sad excuse for a meal. This place has so much potential, hope they get it together soon or it will be going belly up. Update: Still a terribly managed restaurant. Servers having no idea people were seated in their area. Dirty and clean dishes mixed in the dish washer. People waiting 30 minutes for their checks.

My husband and I had dinner last night at this charming little eatery. We had gone there for breakfast and loved it! Dinner was scrumptious! Both the veal picatta with capellini that I had and the mushroom risotto that my husband had were delicious. Good wine selections, albeit a small list. Husband found a new beer that he loved. And we shared a decent portion of chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream, which was yummmmy! Sparks flew off my fork! Our waitress was great. Overall, a wonderful experience. We will be going back!

My breakfast was getting cold. I did not have a fork or knife & it took our waitress forever to get them to me she had them in her hand but went to another table until I said something she chuckled & said I don't know why I'm so forgetful. My best friend who took us out said her order wasn't good. We were half way through our meal & She had to finally get up & go over to our waitress and tell her that she forgot our drinks. When she finally brought them she didn't even apologize. We won't be going back.

Now open for dinner, one of the area's hidden gems. Honestly the best breakfast around; locally sourced foods, prepared well. It's been a favorite of ours for years since coming under new management. The menu is creative and stocked with delicious comfort food, all served by a friendly and efficient staff. Try the cheddar biscuit with sausage gravy, or the sourdough breakfast sandwich, and add a sausage patty - they're definitely a highlight here. And don't forget that fresh, hot local coffee. Can't miss this place.

So went earlier next time...got an egg dish with home fries...the home fries looked like they were made the day before, verrry bad, what happened ???? Maybe will go back again but with many ifs!!!!! How do places like this go from a nice breakfast to a lousy breakfast within weeks?

The food and atmosphere were good, but the wait staff was slow to provide menus or take our order. There's a jukebox, which adds some oldtimey fun to the atmosphere. The decor and clientele is veteran and military focused with patches of different departments and American flags everywhere. Food was pretty good!

The burger was in my top 10, grilled bun that held together. Mayo aioli nice added touch. My husband had the Saturday prime rib special with cauliflower au gratin and roasted brussel sprouts. Enough veggies for 2 people to share. Nice clean atmosphere. First time there and we will return.

Disappointed. My husband and I were here a year ago, and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, today was not the case. I ordered French today w/strawberries; the strawberries were frozen strawberries that had been thawed out, they were still cold and the toast was soaked in the juice. For a local restaurant, I expected fresh fruit, especially since the menu stated this as well. Additionally, the hashbrowns were very undercooked; slightly toasted on top but very slimy and unpalatable. The outdoor seating is wonderful but we will not be going back.

Great friendly local breakfast place. Great food and service. Very family friendly. Dedicated to supporting veterans, police officers and fire fighters. Highly recommend it. Went again tonight and had one of the most delicious meals in a very long time. Broiled sea scallops on rice with a butter and lobster sauce. Scallops were seared and cooked perfectly. Cut easily with a fork not chewy like fake scallops. Reviews regarding speed. This is not meant to be a chew and screw place. It is a place to go and have excellent freshly cooked food made from locally sourced farms. So if looking for a quick bite this isn't the place for you. The vibe is laid back. If you cannot relax and enjoy a wonderful meal in a bucolic setting then there is a bridge in Newburyport that will take you to Mass where there a ton of diners on crowded noisy streets where you can chow down on fast greasy food and celebrate how much smarter you are than us rubes up here in cow hampshire. We happen to like a slower pace of living. So please don't even think of moving up here. You would be bored silly. Gotta go and hand now my lawn, milk the cows, and watch reruns of green acres and hee-haw. Now where did I leave my chewin tobacca?

Today was our 1st time in Country Brook Cafe, we go by there every day and finally stopped in for Breakfast. I was so amazed by the dedication they have to the Vets and 911. The Food was so mouthwatering everything was great. Everything is from the Local Businesses and that is the way things should be. Where can you get a real Country Breakfast that makes you want to keep coming back. ...Country Brook is now our Favorite Place for Breakfast. I can not wait until we go there and try their lunches. The owners and everyone that works and came threw the door were so friendly. Myself I love living in a small town where everyone uses local Farms and other Small Businesses to support their local communities. This place I would give it over 10 Stars....I would like to thank the owners for a wonderful morning on this New Years Eve morning 2017 .

I am so glad I found you. A breath of fresh air. So clean and all of the staff were extremely friendly, patient and accommodating. I have visited 3 times so far for breakfast and I have not one complaint. My banana pancakes, banana-licious. My California eggs Benedict, egg-strordinary and my biscuits and gravy, tasty (my only wish was for more meat). :). Almost forgot to mention the fries blueberry muffin. Wow. When I visit, this will be my go to place.
