For dessert I has the blueberry cobbler... only issue was that I wanted more!! Everything about the meal was excellent. It is on the pricier side but totally worth it for a special occasion.

It's pretty close to top notch, but it adds up quick. The bartenders are some of the best in the area...they "get it" The steaks...welp, not so much. I get the dry aged thing, not my fave, but the technique seems to put, what I have experienced, some lower quality beef, at higher than average price points. My solution is to order apps, salads and the occasional burger [along what is usually decent specials]. The whole "52 dollar steak" thing just burns me when its choice [what you can but at any store] and a solid 1/3 of it is inedible fat. 3.75 stars for bar service and atmosphere in pub. The dining room [s] can be very quiet, but when a few other tables nearby in each side room, can be not so private, se we tend to not do the restaurant. The carriage house is highly recommended to reserve for larger parties/events.

Love Buckley's. Delicious & consistent. Many employees have been here since they opened.... Another great sign of good management. We were a party of four for dinner. Our appetizers were great... From the coconut curry mussels special to our favorite baked oysters. Oh, and the truffled French fries are big, tender but crispy steak-cut fries. (I want some now just thinking about then!) Bread was fresh and hot, as usual. Steaks were all cooked perfectly to our specifications. We split an order of their superbly chubby onion rings with our dinners. Yum! And yes, we managed to share a little dessert, opting for the berry crisp with ice cream. Throughout the evening, service was prompt, friendly, and fabulous. Do make a reservation! Even the bar tends to get packed solid very early. And why not?!!? Buckley's continues to be the best steak house in New Hampshire.

Amazing steakhouse set in a cozy New England town. The restaurant is a repurposed house with a more modern feeling tavern that is a great place to stop for a drink. I'd vote this place has the best steaks in the Manchester/Nashua area.

The food was absolutely amazing. It is a little pricey but it is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. We split the 26oz cowboy steak, it was so tender and juicy. The red wine sauce was delicious, the mashed potatoes so smooth and creamy, the cream spinach was amazing. I had the French onion soup, best I have ever had. My husband had the Caesar salad with the anchovies, he could not stop raving about how good the anchovies were, he brought them home. The charcuterie board was amazing. We each had martinis, again amazing. I highly recommend the Buckley Cosmopolitan. I can't say enough how much I truly enjoyed the meal. My husband even surprised me with a creme brulee for my birthday, again amazing, so rich creamy and smooth.

This it the best meal I've had in new Hampshire! I've eaten at some of the best restaurants in fl where I grew up and this place meets or beats most of them and it costs a bit less. My daughter-in-law and I visited for dinner on mother's day. It was my first visit. I ordered filet mignon with potatoes and beans. The meal was phenomenal... The steak was grilled to the perfect level of rarity, and the sides were excellent. I look forward to my next visit and many more! I don't normally photograph my food, but this steak was so visually pleasing, I snapped a pic (garnish missing in photo).

Cannot speak for the dining room or full menu. We ate in the tavern. I had a cheeseburger that was only "ok". It was dry, and didn't have a very good char on it. The roll had no flavor and the texture of a "cheap" roll. It was definitely not worth the money. The fries were average and several were pushed into the cheese on the burger, as if slapped on the plate. In an effort to remove them, the cheese came off the burger. My dining companion had the steak sandwich. He reported it to be good, not great. Same inferior roll. Will not go back to the tavern. The service was good, however, a little slow for being empty.

I review lots of restaurants and I am known to be very picky. I probably traveled 80% of the world and experienced all kinds of cultures and cuisines. I also happen to be a carnivore and I know my steak. I was surprised and happy to discover this restaurant in New Hampshire since now I have a place to go regularly. Steaks are great as well as the service. You cannot go wrong with anything here.

Quite simply the best steaks around, I need to travel to Boston at least for their equal. The sides and appetizers are also superior, and they have a very comprehensive bar, especially bourbons. I try to get here every month or so and have never been disappointed. Thursdays they do an excellent BBQ night and if you hear the specials you should always try them! Service is always a cut above, wait staff and management alike. If you are in the Nashua area and in the market for a phenomenal dinner, this is the place.

We went to Buckley's for a special birthday dinner. It was mid-week and there were several open tables. Our service was mediocre - rather slow and we received minimal attention. I ordered my favorite steak; a rib eye, and it was TERRIBLE. Tough, gristley, and tasteless. It looked like a strip steak. It was cooked about right (medium) but my wife could not / would not eat hers. The salad was so-so but the potatoes were good. We spent A LOT of money for a VERY disappointing meal. To top it all off, we are Micheal Timothy Dining Group Loyalty Rewards members and Buckley's refused to honor the "free dessert on your birthday" promotion. We have eaten at Surf several times and the service and food were far superior. We will be returning to Surf soon but will NOT be visiting Buckley's anytime in the forseeable future.

Expected a great dining experience, and was disappointed. Our server was nice, but forgetful. We had to remind her for drinks and our dessert took many minutes, maybe 20, to arrive. My entree, swordfish, was overcooked and included a hair. It was replaced and was better. Another guest ordered a steak medium rare. It was overcooked and also replaced, 20 minutes later. The manager comped our drinks, 4 beers. We felt they should have done more. Buckley's is an expensive dining establishment, we only come here for special occasions, this was Mother's Day Saturday. We felt we would have had a better meal down the road at The Homestead.

My husband and I tried Buckley's for the first time 5 years ago at the suggestion of a coworker. The cozy interior was a lovely setting for our anniversary, and the food was exceptional. We have made this our special occasion venue, and I have not yet been dissapointed. The seasonal drink menu is adventurous and I have enjoyed every cocktail I have dared to try. Their steak, lamb and salmon dishes I have tried have all been delicious, and cooked exactly as ordered. Can't wait to visit again.

I've been here twice and ordered one of the seasonal salads and the Garam Masala. I was in heaven! I odered both dishes gluten-free without problems. Their cocktails and local root beer are delicious. The atmosphere in the tavern is delightful! It is always decorated with seasonal themed floral garlands and such. The fireplace really adds to the ambiance and although we were close to surrounding tables, I could not hear any of the other patrons' conversations. Right next to the tavern is a sweet gift shop that offers unique items through the support of local artisans.

They do what they do good. Structured restaurant, trained staff. You get what you pay for here unlike other neighboring restaurants. I went to the cafe often with my friend. Really cool to have a fireplace and wifi available. Good choice, good place. Better than most.

The staff are trained old school style but a little warmer. The setting is cozy and intimate. Their menu is fairly simple with a few exceptions. My experience has been solidly 4 stars every visit. The one thing that brings down their score for me is consistency. Sometimes it's perfect, sometimes it's missing some small details. I feel like the chef is perhaps absent minded and not watching what goes out. The meals are always yummy and the staff more than make up for the lack of detail from the chef. So, a solid 4 stars. This is one of my casual regular spots.

Everything was delicious, from the sesame orange steak tip appetizer (among several appetizers we enjoyed) to the chicken with potato and onion rings, it was all perfect. We all had different desserts which we raved. My chocolate mousse cake was rich, moist and tasty. Our server, Jen, was exceptional. The perfect level of attention. We never had to wait to get another glass of wine, a refill of water or anything else we wanted, yet she was never intrusive. A great dining experience!

I enjoyed my Wedge Salad, and my wife enjoyed the scallops. Then the Twin Pepper Crusted Petite Filets and Filet Mignon cooked perfectly. And finished with Creme Brulee and Wild Maine Blueberry Crumble. Wow. Oh, and the bread is to die for. Make a reservation, it's always busy.

I've been going for years and never had a bad meal. Burgers, steaks some seafood.we had the pan seared scallops for an appetizer this last visit.they specialize in marinades and rubs but steaks can be had without any marinade or rubs.i like mine el natural.salt pepper and wood fire that's it. Parking can be a drag if it's busy.but you can park in the cafe next door like we did.we visit all the MT restaurants and like them all but Buckley's is our personal favorite. Once twice a month.

I really cannot say enough good things about this place. I ordered the Mediterranean steak special medium rare. It was spectacular. The service was excellent (reservations recommended), the beverage selection spot on (not extensive, but appropriate), and all food was amazing. Get the chips/dip for an appetizer! Prices are a bit high but I'll pay for high quality and the portions were appropriate.

Part of the terrific Michael Timothy family. We usually go for the less expensive pub menu but have eaten in the main house on special occasions. What a flair they have! Special weak spot for the parmesan truffle fries, which are like none other anywhere. In the pub or its outside tables, the burgers are among the best I've ever seen.

Fiancé and I went to celebrate our engagement (dining room). The food is a little pricey, but worth every single penny!! Fiancé had the pan-blackened prime rib and I had the lobster mojo and we had oysters on the half shell. Oysters were very fresh and served perfectly chilled, the prime rib was cooked to perfection (med-rare just as he ordered it), and the lobster mojo was not rubbery and absolutely devine (highly recommend this dish!!). Service was spot on: the entire staff as very friendly and we didn't have to wait forever between our drink orders and our appetizers and entrees. We didn't feel rushed either. We booked a reservation for the dining room and I'm glad we did (they get busy so I highly recommend this route). Parking lot is a little tight, but it's to be expected in the historical section of Merrimack. We will definitely be returning!!!

Yet we are always greeted by one of the long time servers Jen. We always get great service whoever is taking care of us. And the food is usually great. This is a must go to restaurant if you are in the area. The atmosphere is fantastic, with the options of a more formal romantic dining experience or a laid back family friendly place. The menu is superior to most in the area boasting a kids menu unlike any I have ever seen before. My daughter was so happy to not have to choose between a hot dog or chicken fingers. Our food was absolutely delicious, service was top notch. We will be back and will recommend to all family and friends. My first visit to Buckley's on a Tuesday night 1 week ago. I ordered the 14 oz Rib eye steak. Rib eye steak is my favorite steak whether cooking at home or at a restaurant. After waiting 45 min for dinner to be served, my rib eye looked and tasted like a top sirloin steak! My companion agreed. Perhaps an error by the chef or kitchen help??? I did not complain about the steak because our waitperson (Laura) was so wonderful, I did not want to put her in an awkward position. I most likely will return to the restaurant.

Buckley's Steak House doesn't disappoint. There are many varieties of dry aged steaks that are prepared over a wood burning grill. We opted for the classic filet mignon and a newer preparation of a sugar cured steak. This had a nice caramelized crust and a tender chew. We also choose the gorgonzola bacon red bliss mashed potatoes. These were presented in a mini cast iron skillet. This gave us that nice crispness of a fried potato, but with the tenderness one expects with a mashed potato. The wine list is extensive and while we didn't order dessert, the selections were very tempting. There is a nice bar located here too. This place is an old house where each room has been converted into a dining room. So while it can accommodate many people, there still is that intimate feeling when dining with your loved one.

We've been to Buckley's many times, and have always had excellent food and service. I'm adding this review, because this time, I tried the salmon, instead of a beef dish. It was a tough decision, as steak is what they are all about. (Petite Filet and Beef Stroganoff are my favorites!) The salmon was amazing!!! The veggies were amazing and the salmon was perfectly prepared! Here's the menu description: Pan Roasted Salmon with Butternut squash, Brussel sprouts, roasted vegetables, red potato, and a maple-Dijon glaze. The description doesn't do it justice, but I highly recommend both the restaurant, and this dish!

Nice atmosphere where dining rooms are small and separated, which means it doesn't get crazy loud. Their steaks are amazing, and they can cook a 12 oz filet without butterflying it. Servers are really knowledgeable about the food so if you have any food sensitivities , go ahead and ask if they use X to season Y. They'll know. Great place for a well prepared steak in a calm, relaxed atmosphere.

My family dined at Buckley’ s last weekend. We celebrated my sister’s 50th birthday. IT WAS SUCH A SPECIAL DINNER! Everything including the room, drinks, dinner, amazing cake and staff was world class. Our server, Laura was the perfect balance of professional and personable. She made my sister feel so important and loved on her bday. We can’t thank Laura enough. Thank you Buckley’s staff- you all do amazing work!

Steaks were perfect, rib eye and filet. Sauteed brussel sprouts app was fabulous. Service was was impeccable. The restaurant could update the restrooms a bit.. for such a nice place they are just okay and both sinks in the ladies were stopped up

We were disappointed with our meal yesterday. My margarita was mostly ice and my prime rib was dry/chewy, even with the au jus. My boyfriend remarked that, while his ribeye was acceptable, we've made better on our own grill. We went in expecting great things because we love Surf and MT's Local, but we left feeling like we wasted $130 when we could have gotten a better meal somewhere less costly.

Great experience at the bar in the Tavern. Nice wine selection, delicious steak and sides. What truly stood out was the staff. Our bartenders Jessica, Kat, and a gentleman whose name I didn't catch were so friendly and attentive. On the way out the reception staff told us some history about the building and invited us to look around. Thank you for a nice evening!
