I ordered 1 bacalaito and some arroz Con biste. The food was good. Best place to get puerto rican food. Tasty and delicious. But the bacalaito could off been better. Was a little oily. Next time let the oil heat up, before putting the masa in. Will Def return for my cravings.

Had some awesome friends introduce us to this spot. This was our first experience trying Puerto Rican food for my husband and I so we really didn’t know what to expect. Our group ordered a few different things to try, everything had such amazing flavor! I don’t remember the exact names but the plantain pork sandwich was delicious! The beans and empanadas were both so tasty. If your coming here to try out Something new I don’t think you can be disappointed. I can’t wait to taste the rest of the menu and to top it off their service was just as great, attentive fast service. We will be back here soon....

Since moving to Vegas from Chicago it's been difficult to find great food. Sofrito Rico not only made me feel home but it made me feel like home with my grandmother's cooking. Brought dad and the family for Father's day and sofrito did not disappoint. If you love Puerto Rican food or never tried it go here you will enjoy yourself and leave full.

The dine in is small and if the restaurant is full be prepared to wait close to 1hr. Yes 1hr. Of having your food at your table. My wife and I came on a Sunday at 2:51pm and I posted this review at 3:38pm and still our food order has not been served :( we were starving of hunger. We won't be coming here ever again.

Steak was cold in the middle. Monfogo didn't have that wow factor. Too much for the rice & chick peas that was warm and not hot. And I saw the waiter twice. When he sat me down and when he came to collect the moolah.

1st of all we were waiting like about 25 minutes the servers were walking back-and-forth doing nothing instead of charging people so they wouldn't have to wait for the check's so they can get out .. they were doing something else so finally my partner clean up a table himself the waiter saw him she laugh ..we sat on the table we asked for a beer and the customers next to us were commenting about the food that the mofongo was salty and some of the food was not OK so we decided to leave because the service was very bad and we decided to leave ... we were came from Sacramento California very disappointed

Came down from Utah county just to try this place and I was not disappointed. Fairly priced, Fresh cooked to order food, and a very friendly staff. We came in with a huge group and the waiter and cook were very patient and friendly doy even with joe stressful we all were. Great and AUTHENTIC Puerto Rican food! Wish they had more locations!

Delicious and authentic Puerto Riquen food. Options are plentiful. The feel of the restaurant is also very reminiscent of the Island of enchantment. Tropical salsa music playing will transport you 3,000 to the small but vibrant island. 10/10 recommended.

Details. Trust me this place is a hidden treasure for the palate and the pocket. This was my second visit in one week. I originally stumbled upon this establishment because of curb appeal and a newspaper review posted in the storefront window. I was waiting for my high school niece getting prepped for prom at a beauty school in the same stip mall . During my first visit ,the greeter and server were delightful and beckoned me to a comfy booth. I was immediately lured by the smell of wonderful spices . The Puerto Rican food was out of this world and generous. The cost of the entire meal under$15.00!! This 2nd visit, I was so impressed I returned with my sister and brother-inlaw. I ordered the stewed chicken and Puerto Rican yellow rice. They were equally satisfied with their choices and the atmosphere, service, freshness of food. and my brother- inlaw loved the prices. He even had a take home box. Lol.

The only problem I had with Sofrito Rico is that my mom and me were the only ones there... The food was amazing, the closest I have ever found to what my ex girlfriend from Puerto Rico would cook for me. There was only one weak spot I found. The pickled green plantains were not pickled enough for my taste but they were still good... I had the skirt steak with onions and chimichurri sauce it was seasoned perfect and the freshness of the chimichurri was a beautiful addition. My sides were the Rice with pigeon peas, mufungo and yuka with garlic sauce everything seasoned perfectly and just right. My mom had the pork chops with potato salad, pickled Plantains, and fried plantains... The only difference in taste between my ex's potato salad and theirs was my ex put apples in her's (I loved it) I didn't try the fried plantains It was just to much food but my mom said they were delicious... I will be back as the prices were just as amazing as the food... why it wasn't packed is beyond me ... I'm glad I found this place, you will be too...

I don't know but ppl out here need to visit NYC.. coming from NYC I know what good (spanish) food is.. and this is not it! First off, if I order a chicken entree shouldnt that come with rice, plantain etc... why am I paying for these things separately.. by the time I finished adding on I was at $30.. one cup of rice to 3 pieces of chicken with no gravy, the rice was a bit salty.. the grill chicken bowl was dry.. smh.. no bueno! We ordered to go but the space was cozy.

This is the best Puerto Rican food on the west coast hands down. Tbh this rivals with MAJORITY of New York & Places in Puerto Rico. I live in Arizona & have made the drive multiple times to Las Vegas & it’s mainly for this spot. My friends & family know about this place because it’s just undeniable. There has been times that I have eaten at other Caribbean restaurants Puerto Rican & Dominican & Jamaican to be specific & this place has got something special behind it that I believe caters to everyone which is very special. Good food, price and service. Real authentic puertorrican food, could have been 5 stars in the 'churrasco' was the right meat cut, which it wasn't. We tried trifongo, rice and beens, arroz con gandules, alcapurrias, filled potatos, carne frita.. and everything was really good. Next time I visit Vegas, I'll stop there for sure.

Vegetarian nachos (they were out of Vegan cheese) were... interesting. I don't think I would do it again, but they weren't bad per se... I just did not like some of the veggie choices. At all. Still would be willing to try something else there.

The Food get a 5 star because it was DELICIOUS BUT tables were dirty (no buser), once seated it took a long time to even take our order and our waiter had to be flagged down in order to pay. This was on a day that was not so busy. I can't imagine how much worse service would be if it was busy.

This place is a disgrace. First off I don’t know what that is but it’s not pernil made me sick and the fried chicken omg I can make better at home and I’m a guy. I called 3 times no answer I was close I went in there for the first time since I discovered the place it was a lil busy so both waitress ignored me when the sign says wait to be seated. I waited ten minutes and walked out never again I apparently don’t learn. The only thing good here is the rice and it’s not even made authentic they have some contraption. There are only 2 Puerto Rican spots in Vegas and the other I wouldn’t eat for free and this one is horrible and the worst run restaurant I’m embarrassed how they make my people look. I should open a spot in the middle of nowhere and have my mom cook o guarantee input them out of business they are only open because people don’t know bettter... but I do and you will never see my $ again.

the food was delicious, the service very very very bad. We ordered 6 dishes and only 5 come, the waitress said it would take 15 more minutes for the dish to come out. almost 40 minutes later she tells us that it would take another 20 minutes. After complaining, she tells me that they would give me the food to take away ....if I go and seat on your restaurant to eat my diner with my family don’t tell me after a hour that I ordered and everyone on the table already finish they food “ don’t worry u can take ur food home “.... it was first time and last one. We went Sunday December 9 around 7pm, the girl have curly brown hair and the guy was skinny and tall with dark hair but I don’t remember their names cause I was really upset about the service... I was so excited to try the food and I was delicious but when u have a really bad service like we did,,, the food doesn’t really matter.

People talk about it like it's the best Puerto Rican restaurant, Sofrito Rico was okay to say the least. My pernil was salty and my yuca with garlic sauce was over cooked which made the yuca dry. When we first arrived we had a waitress then not even two minutes after her giving us time to decide a waiter come over and ask if we were ready to order yet. He seemed to be in a rush, when we were ready to pay he came over and got our payment then it came back to us from the waitress that we started with. I don't feel comfortable with our card being passed through several hands, if you are our waiter/waitress and you pick up our payment for our order you should be the only one with access to it.
