The place is fun, the food is interesting... the environment is great tho they good really nice people on their staff.
Great place to eat! I highly recommend it.
The service was good and the food excellent. Cute decor.
Lovely place in a beautiful small town. Everything there is amazing. The food is delicious and full of details.
My husband's hashbrowns and toast were burnt and should never have been served. Southern western salad lacked flavor, was watery. Coffee was luke warm. Waitress spilled my pico sauce all over the table. Unable to focus on task at hand too busy complaining to everyone about her day. Skip this place next trip.
Food not great but ok, service was great, staff friendly, recommend the club.
We waited about 10 minutes for a seat even though there were many open, dirty booths. Once we sat down, we waited 10 more minutes and nobody came to our table. So, we left and had a great meal at the Eureka. We were seated, ordered, and food delivered in 15 minutes, and it was just as busy as at Peggy Sue's.
Food was very good. Service was great.
The wait staff were friendly, but there weren't enough to get to everyone in a timely manner. We had breakfast and it was ok. I typically make better at home but we're travelling. The sausage in the burritos was either old or unseasoned or …
Excellent!!, Everybody went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Super friendly staff. Delicious mom and pops restaurant.
Good food. 50's concept is fun.
AWFUL! Just awful!! Very dirty. Service was horrible. Waited for 25 minutes just for drinks and then he forgot one and never came back with it or to take or order. When asking about soup of the day he simply stated I don't know. Got up and advised the host we were leaving and that I would pay for the two drinks we didnt even drink and was met with a very insincere apology so I paid 5.41 and walked out. Would NEVER stop again.
Good food friendly staff enjoyed the 50s theme
Wow...excellent food...atmosphere wonderful
Good spot for breakfast. They were busy and still fast and friendly. I recommend Peggy Sue's as good food, friendly service with old diner feel. Way to go Peggy sue
Great Food Here. The view is gorgeous.
Good sized portions and great food. Staff is friendly and attentive. Could use a little more organization with the front end but I recommend this over the casino food.
Really cool atmosphere. Very large selection of food, most things i've ordered are great. Some days seem to be better than others, but you won't be unhappy.
We waited over 30 minutes to be seated but the balloon festival was in town and another event as well so they were running behind. Once we got seated, the service was alright. We ordered dessert first thinking it would come out quickly. We waited 15-20 minutes for our banana split. Shared a omlette platter (not pictured). All in all, a decent place to go for food if you don't mind waiting awhile.
Service was very slow. Coffee was terrible!! Food was really good!!!
My wife and I love this place, we try to make the 45 minutes drive from St George on special occasions. The food is always good, and the serving sizes and large. It's very reasonably priced for what you get. The decor and 50's theme is fun and makes it different from any regular chain breakfast restaurant.
Good food and good music.
We stop there every time we drive I-15 . Always good.
Table was dirty. Slow service. Overpriced for what you get. Go somewhere else.
Food took 45min to come to our table. So so so slow. Waitress ignored us the whole time we waited. Food not worth the wait.
As always, it was delicious. The onion rings were steaming hot out of the fryer. We had to wait 5 minutes just to try them they were so fresh. Best place in town for variety and taste. If you've never been, please go. I guarantee you will not be sorry.
Good food Good service
Worst 50’s diner I’ve ever been to. It’s not terrible, but it isn’t amazing! Mediocre service, good food. They need some air fresheners.
Pretty good breakfast. Everything tasted good. The service was good and our server was friendly. The bathrooms were somewhat gross.
It's worse then when it was new, I guess the help is getting tired of being there. Better than 7-11 biscuits sandwiches.
Its hit or miss. Sometimes the food is good sometimes it's not. Prices are reasonable.
Food was okay, not at all bad but nothing too special either.
Cute atmosphere...huge omlettes
What a fun place with some good grub!
We haven't been to a classic diner in such a long time and so this was such an enjoyable brunch! They have on display in each booth hilarious books which you can buy!
This is a great retro style 50's diner in Mesquite. It is easy to find - right off the freeway exit, so it's a great place to stop on your travels for food and a trip down memory lane. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious and large portions! The only complaint I had was they didn't seem to refill our drinks as frequently as I would have preferred, but otherwise it was great service. The shakes were amazing - including the pineapple shake! Adequate parking with wheelchair accessible parking spots, entrance, and tables are available. The restrooms were clean.
Gret vibe and great food. Service was very good! Its a 50s style and theme.
Great restaurant with a 50's theme. Good food and service.
Nice dinner. The bacon is the best I've ever found, large and meaty! Good service.
Great food and great staff.
Good food and service was excellent
A nice 50's style dinner really cool and a nice change on the road
Food was good staff very kind but the thing I liked the most was table reading
Breakfast 24hrs a day with 1950's memorabilia, what's not to like? The sandwiches and burgers aren't too bad either.
Good service Ronda and Byron made it happen. If you are passing through a good place to stop.
Id give 0 stars if i could!! Waited 1 hour for our food to arrive and 45min in we were told 3/4 of the items for one meal, they didn't have. The corn beef hash was so cold it seemed fresh out of the fridge. When the waitress became aware of the situation, she didn't seem to care. We were missing sides along with half our order of biscuits and gravy. We asked for the manager and she had the worst attitude. Said we ate some of the food so we were being charged for that. Then asked to speak to the OWNER, who at first, the manager told us we could get his number online. But he was there!!! When we pointed out the owner was there, the Manager went to tell him about the situation and he wouldn't even come talk to us. He asked the waitress what happened and she told him an entirely different story. I attempted to correct it but they all walked off. NEVER COMING BACK.
Fine. Good food good service.
Good food, good environment, very friendly
Good service good food..
Service was terrible. It took forever to be seated even though they were not busy. Then we were flat out ignored and took ages just to see a menu and order. The waitstaff didn't seem to think one family was worth the bother. It wasn't until after more customers arrived that they saw to us. The other customers were taken care of us before us. It was terrible. The food was not very good. We had been reccomended this place by a friend but we will never go again.
It was alright, but it was so greasy I couldn't keep it down. If you're used to fast food you'll be alright. Also took a medium wait to get our food, not good for a quick meal.
I loved this restaurant! The fries and milkshakes are bomb. Visited here while on vacation and it was such a cute, attractive spot! And the prices were very reasonable as well.
Ate supper here while passing through town. The food and service were pretty good, and a fair price. While the music went with the atmosphere it wouldn't hurt to turn it down just a little.
I liked it, food was good, employees nice, but bathroom was smelly
It was an amazing place to eat. Great hamburguer and wrap. Good service. Nice people!!!
They have relatively cheap foods. I'd say on average their food is about 7-8 dollars. Their food is very sweet. They have the best hot chocolate I've ever had. However, their sausage is horrible. It's really oily, it's a party, and it leaves a bad taste. I would recommend getting bacon instead or substituting for fruit.
I love a diner with an expansive menu; Peggy Sue’s has one. Great staff, great food, great decor!
The food wasn't very good and took a long time to come out. If you're lucky like me, you can sit right under a fly catcher covered in bugs!
I have been fortunate to check out this location and the Yermo setting, and I cherish both equally; a sure welcome and experience to have while traveling on the road!
Great food! Enjoyed the diner atmosphere and friendly service! We plan to eat here again the next time we stay at Mesquite.
Excellent
Good food, Great prices, and absolutely love those horribly wonderful outfits.. No for real, They are awful and you should not force your wait staff to wear those dresses, I mean I get having a uniform but dang could make make them anymore unflattering and Awkward looking. Ha ha.. poor employees.
Always happy with whatever get there...simple this time a good old cheeseburger with fries with all the trimmings...yum! If you are looking for the "diner" experience this the play go. The wait staff where friendly and helpful
I love the theme and the staff! Everyone looks as if it were the 50’s, would definitely recommend
Quick stop for breakfast. Place was busy, service and food were good.
I read so many bad reviews, I wasn't expecting much, but the food and service was great. They even had an OK IPA on tap
Horrible. Flys all over. Dirty bathrooms. Nice waitress.
Best breakfast I've ever had!!! Absolutely love Peggy Sue's. The portions are filling and the atmosphere is authentic
Very nice it was clean and the staff was friendly.
Stood in line for 15 minutes while there were at least 7 empty clean tables and a line of people out the door! Finally got seated and the bus boy took our drink order and brought us coffees. The waitress meanders over and takes our food order. Sit at our table for 30 minutes...no food or even refills on our coffee! We will NEVER be back.
Highly recommend, every time I go out i usually get chicken strips and fries, this time I decided to switch it up and I got a Mary Jane club. It was amazing and so filling. Great flavor and nice waitresses.
Somedays it's good, other days it's poor. Their breakfast is the best by far!
Good 50s style quisine! Yummy food and lots of it!
Nice people here.
We do day trips to mesquite and usually have brunch there.
Pretty good food. Just had bacon and eggs, but every part was good. Crispy bacon and hash browns and good toast.
The staff is super sweet and attentive, even when they are covering for late people and a very busy restaurant. The food was pretty good. The reason for three stars, is because the biscuits and gravy had way too much flour in the gravy. It was bad. Like coagulating in front of my eyes, bad.
I am normally a bit critical of diners. But I have no complaints. Service was just right and the food was hot and good. Reasonably priced. Sounds like a winner.
Ate here for lunch. My husband and I were seated as soon as we walked through the door. Our server was friendly and the food was scrumptious. The cook was wonderful, bacon came out crispy and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Our server (Rhonda) was friendly, fast, and full of smiles. Definitely a treat to dine here. There was funny material to read at each table as a nice bonus.
Slow to take our order. Food was the best it's been quite a long time. It was busy, they need more staff to take customer orders.
On pricey side and sorry but food is just ok. Staff are friendly and responsive, look 50's atmosphere.
They made my order wrong, but it was good food still
Food was not the best. Service could have been a lot friendlier.
Food was "ok" when it finally got to the table. Slooow !
This place was awesome! The servers were friendly and responsive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere is super.
I absolutely love this place . The atmosphere is amazing and the food is incredible , it's one of my "must stops" in mesquite for breakfast . the prices are also really reasonable . The wait staff however is hit and miss , I've had it range from almost the best service ever to "should we leave a tip?" , just remember they are always extremely busy and everyone has bad days . But don't let that stop you from enjoying a fantastic meal here . I will definitely come back
Cute place the food was good. It was a good spot for lunch.
Good food and reasonable prices. I had the Beehive and it was very filling
Our whole experience was wonderful. Our server was very pleasant and took the extra effort to ensure all of our requests were met and our meals were absolutely perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better experience on our 18 hour road trip.
The service was great. The food was great. Nice experience.
food is great. it comes out fast and hot. service left something to be desired. our food and drink order was taken quickly enough, and we were checked on appropriately. but after we were done eating we waited almost 30 minutes for our check. the waitress was rude to people behind us when they asked the same questions we had. they got told they were out of the NY strip steak and another group was told they were only out of the chili
Food was very bland. Service was quick and friendly.
This was the WORST customer service of EVER e experienced! I’ve been in business for 20+ years hence if it was my business I would want to know! I’ve never been treated so DISRESPECTFULLY at a restaurant prior to today!! I will NEVER go …
I liked the ambiance and food. I do wish they would play full songs instead of songs leading into another continuously.
Nice friendly service and good food
Fun and tasty
Great classic breakfast and diner food. Milkshake was top notch. Fun theme & good environment. Friendly staff! Definitely check it out if you're in Mesquite, NV.
Such an adorable place and the food was great!
Super super bad service
I will never go back ,it looked dirty when we walked in ,our food was cold I had the fried chicken looked so good but the center of the chicken was cold , vegetables cold , baked potato cold, I then let my server know I did have the potato that they charged $3.00 , they charged me 3 for the salad that came with it , I don't know but at our restaurant we would have just given it to them and called it good!! Our service was very good they were under staffed but she was wonderful. Save your money.
So much food! Good home cooking style.
Fun 50s environment with good 50s food. Great shakes.
Great food! Great service! Love the atmosphere
The rebel is my fav. Great for a greasy spoon meal. Always up for a greasy spoon experience.
This place is soooo cute! Great atmosphere, service and food! The breakfast bagel was amazing!
Lovely authentic American diner. Lovely food, great service, music and decor was lovely. Highly recommended
Avoid the chicken fried steak - it's not chicken or steak it's sausage meat covered in batter and it was foul.
Over staffed? Under staff? Not sure what it is but I know it doesn't take over and hour to make a burger with the whole place not even half full. Sat in a table of 4 where everyone got their appetizers and meals first but there were multiple "tragedies" inside the kitchen. Food is decent. But good luck waiting for cold food .
Food was ok not great service was terrible they weren't busy and were still incredibly slow
Great place lots of food
It was just okay. French toast was good. I don't know what the excuse for sausage patties was. Seems very understaffed.
So went here after a kinda long trip from SLC Utah and got there and it seemed ok at 1st but my soda didn't have the syrup in it at 1st that was no prob got. New one then are food came our in about 25min np it's food sometimes it takes a …
Great food and reasonably priced. 60:s themed dinner, fun atmosphere.
Employees there do a bit of everything. I liked seeing how they worked as a team. The food was fresh when we got it. My french toast taste like egg to much not very sweet. It was awesome.
It was fine. Good portions.
I loved the cute 50s theme. I also loved the books at the table lots of satire. The food was delicious and reasonable
Best burger (The Big Bopper)and onion rings in town. Only one waitress working a very busy time but she was Awesome. Owner should have more consideration and be aware of holiday weekends and events and schedule more efficiently.
This is a fun place to eat if you are in Mesquite. Trust me when I tell you that you don't have many options here. The food is good, the atmosphere is not bad,the menu is diverse. The theme is 50's and it's cutesy. If you can handle that, the prices are good and so is the service. Better than what you will find at one of the casinos.
Ok food, always out of something on the menu and the service is a joke except the bussers they are always great.
Cute decor BUT terrible service! We sat at our table for 45 minutes and still didn’t even once have an update from our server about when our food would arrive. We finally flagged down our server and told her we were leaving. At least she didn’t charge us for our drinks. So very sad. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a good meal!!
Good food. Cool diner atmosphere.
Good food, great decor, friendly staff.
Nice place and good food
Was told 10 -15 minute wait for a table. We arrived 11:15 and was seated within 15 minutes. Ordered two breakfast burritos with chorizo, a coffee and a coke. Almost 60 minutes later we got our food but no silverware. The wait staff were like scolded children that didn't want to make eye contact with a parent because they knew things were not good. I had to walk up to the counter to get a refill for my coke. So 24 dollars and a couple bucks tip we go to the register to pay. The customer ahead of us was already complaining about their bad service. We weren't asked how our breakfast was.We won't ever be back and won't refer anyone there. Just terrible terrible service.
Good service great people
Very cute. Lots of 50s stuff. Waitstaff was really nice, but our waitress came once to take our drinks and then never came back so we flagged down another and she helped us out. Food was really yummy and it came out fast. Would recommend. It’s within walking distance from the Eureka.
My husband and I and friends, enjoyed the times we have dined there. The food was great, the staff was friendly, and the service was good. The food was still warm when they brought it to our table, and that is important because there are places that by the time they get the food to you, the food is cold. Go there and enjoy.
The food was decent but the service was not the greatest. They were busy but we were not greeted at the door and it took an hour to get the food. It seems like they only had 1 waitress and she did a great job, I also liked the atmosphere of the place.
It took 2 cooks nearly 40 minutes to make a blt and a cheeseburger. And there weren't many people there! Food was good, waitress friendly, great atmosphere.
Food and service was fantastic. We will definitely make Peggy Sue's a regular stop every time we come through!
Food was ok. Nice decor . Waitress very nice .Ladies room was filthy
Wonderful food, reasonable prices, excellent service. The ambiance is just what you would expect by the name, a 50s style.
Good food, Good service. Cute
Foods not all that great but I went for the gift shop and its perfect if you like the 50's-70's
The serives was BAD. It took 20 minutes for them to take our order got our food asked for refill on root beer she took our cup and never brought it back when asked again for the refill she said sorry walked away and never came back again we finished our food and had to find her to get out check and the cashier was to busy on the phone to talk to me she just held her hand out for the money... the food was good.
Excellent food and friendly staff!
Good food, good service.
food we ordered for lunch was absolutely gross, bathrooms were very unsanitary and really stunk, the people working there did about the best they could for the resources they had to work with, for about the same price, you can go to a sit down restaurant at most casinos in mesquite, wife ordered a salad that looked like it was made with hamburger toppings, for $11.99? I could not even eat dinner the same day because I food was having troubles to digest the lunch from this dive.
Food was nice & the novelty signs we're fun to read. I bought one which said... " Beware of Perky Dog"
My dad took me here and boy o boy some tasty grub.
On our way back from Las Vegas, my cute hubby and I stopped here. The cafe has a darling retro 50's theme, and the food was delicious and plentiful. It was very cost effective considering the portions. I would come again. The only reason I knocked off a star was the bathrooms. The women's restroom was absolutely disgusting.
We stopped here to eat passing through, took my daughter as we walked in straight to the bathroom. The restrooms were DISGUSTING, it smelled like an open sewer and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned it weeks. As we walked to the table, I noticed the whole place the dirty. I was half expecting to be leaving with food poisoning, I did not fortunately. I played it safe and orders a BLT, it was fine, the fries were ice cold and nasty. My husband ordered a burger with an egg over easy. The egg was hard and the burger in general wasn’t very good and that’s after waiting 45 for our food after we ordered. The served my kids their food last, pancakes, really difficult order and the waitress took our order, brought our food and that was it. Couldn’t even get anymore water.
My first time in mesquite. Peggy Sue's was recommended and was well worth it. Good was good and prices were very reasonable. I'll go again
We were in Mesquite for the weekend. Looked up this place and website states theres a dinosaur park. Waitress said it's the peggy sue in CA. Waitress was super friendly. Food was good. Had a Reuben and he had a French dip.
Great service, fun atmosphere and yummy food for a fair price! We loved it and our kids ate every single bite!
Although not affiliated with peggy sues in mojave..still gave us generous portions and wonderful service
Waited over 1hr. No system for seating patrons (re sign in sheet!). No seating for those who have trouble standing but people who came in after us were seated and served first. Food was mediocre when it finally came. Too bad, I had been told it was a great place!
The decor, music, menu, and ambiance all was very fitting as a representation of the 50's. We loved it. The portion size was also very good for the price paid. Much better than most restaurants with similar pricing. Would definitely recommend.
Place was full of fly’s and tables/seats/floor were filthy. Got up and walked out after realizing I had food and condiments all over me from bench seat while trying to get into booth. Server came quickly to take drink order, but before he came back we all decided to get out.
If you go for breakfast and feel like pancakes, get the suicide!!! You'll have a suagr rush from that treat!
Good food. Very reasonable beer prices.
Food was ok. Service was ok. No wait to be seated, which was nice. Yummy milkshakes and the breakfast items were yummy. Not so much on the lunch items. Cute atmosphere.
This was one of the best burritos I've ever had. Peggy sue's was a fantastic choice for breakfast. Thank you for making my morning!!!!!
Cool atmosphere. Decent servers but very mediocre food.
Peggy Sue’s was not only a really cute and creative place to eat at but the food was great too! My husband and I both had their burgers
Interesting mom & pop restaurant. We stayed at Casa Blanca for a few days and found this restaurant on accident. Food is diner-worthy, and yummy. If you're on a diet, I don't recommend this place. It's definitely a throwback vibe. Got our money's worth, no issues at all.
The good was good, our salads were fresh, but the floors were disgustingly dirty. REALLY dirty. Staff very friendly and prompt service. But we won’t go back again due to the dirty atmosphere. I had to wipe our table down with Clorox wipes (thankfully had them in my purse!)
Very good diner. Great food, great service and great prices. I love their breakfasts. My favorite diner.
