Excellent sushi and sashimi selection as well as alcohol selections like sake and Import beers etc... I usually go for an all you can eat lunch with my sister which has set selections to choose from but is wide in variety! I go for the family sushi sashimi platter / meal when company comes to town which easily accommodates 3-4 people for about $10 per person and you leave very satisfied!! If I'm dining alone I sit at the bar and enjoy ordering off the card while being entertained by the sushi chefs and their masterful art!! All in all Minato is my #1!!

We had an amazing time last night at Minato's. The staff was very attentive. I have to say this place is the best around for good sushi.. the yellowtail.... Wow amazing, just melts in your mouth. Will absolutely be there again and bringing friends and family to try.

I really enjoyed the sushi here! Every roll was delicious... the avocado roll was a little loose and fell apart, but not bad enough to complain about. For something different, the baked Japanese Lasagna roll was awesome - I'd definitely order it again. Several tv's in the restaurant, all tuned to American Ninja Warrior this night :) I took off one star because the atmosphere is a little underwhelming, and our server was new, so she forgot almost EVERYTHING... our drink order, plates, wasabi, and she didn't return our credit card (heading back today to get it). If I were rating only on food, it would be 5 star. Parking is... interesting. Don't try to exit the garage if you've indulged in sake or those big Sapporo bottles! The entrance is 3 floors up, so look for the elevator in the middle of the building if you're not able to climb stairs.

I love Minato's. For years it has been my favorite place to grab sushi. My favorite combo is cucumber salad, miso soup, and the dragon roll -- delicious! The ambiance is nice and the staff is pleasant. Why only 4 stars? If I'm honest, I haven't always received the best customer service.. there have been a couple of times I was left waiting too long for my order to be taken or drinks refilled. But, generally, everything is good and the food is fantastic!

Consistently good sushi and hot foods, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to the extremely variable speed of service. Most recent trip the restaurant was busy but we received our entire order in under 10 minutes. Previous visits it's taken nearly 45 minutes to get our order to us. Worth the price but not always worth the wait.

This place has good food. The atmosphere and deco in the restaurant are pretty good. Nice friendly staff. I do say though that they need to find a different location than on the second floor connected to a bar through a hallway with one set of bathrooms to share. Nothing says good food like a bathroom stall missing it's door from the drunks. Other than that the place was pretty neat and decently priced. Will return but I don't think I'll dine in but take out due to the bar and the cigarette smoke next door.

It was a sweet modest place. Very cultural and ethnic. Great place to eat. Little of a wait but only because the dish is prepared right. They were very attentive and made sure everything was okay. I would say if your in the area that it's a great experience for the family. The dishes were quite delicious and filling. My personal favorite was their rainbow.

Food gets 5 stars, service gets none. Maybe it just depends on the day or the time, I don't know, but I have to stop the server as she is passing by any time I want anything such as, placing my order. Example: My lunch was supposed to come with soup and salad. First I placed the order with the sushi chef as the server had not been seen since I flagged her down for a menu 10 minutes earlier. 10 minutes after that (now 20 since I've seen her) she walked by me so I stopped her to inquire about the soup and salad that is supposed to come with my lunch. When I asked if the lunch did indeed come with the items in question I was told, yes, if I want them. Well, YES, I wouldn't be asking about them if I didn't. So on

Not the coziest place ever and quite warm inside however the food more than made up for sweating while I ate. Everything was well made and tasted fresh and the staff was very friendly. Sexy girl was super yummy. Spicy edamame was delish. Wasn’t too much a fan of the deep fried jalapeño rolls as it was mostly deep fried batter and. It so much jalapeño but still very tasty. My husband LOVED the kimchi soup!

The service is great and the Ambiance is very nice. Had a great time watching them make sushi and bring out the beautiful little plates they made. Since I am not a fan of sushi I ordered something else and it was pretty good but not something I would make another visit to get. This would be a good restaurant for children and adults.

Absolutely shocked to read so many positive reviews for this restaurant. People are saying large portions and good prices? The best sushi they've ever had? We thought this was the most sub-par sushi we've eaten in a long time. Super small portions and exorbitant prices; $7 for a simple salmon roll and you get SIX tiny pieces. To top it all off, our server was the most standoffish, rude waitress possible. We only made ONE request besides our actual order and she neglected to come back....ever. Eventually, we asked another waitress to bring the item. Perhaps this is the best sushi in Laughlin, but, if so, that's pretty sad. We will never come back again.

Some of the best spicy tuna roll and absolutely the best avocado roll ever. The complimentary cucumber salad and miso soup made for a really nice treat. This was $$ at $ prices. We are going back at least once more while we are here. We ate here 2 years ago and had a similar experience.

We had dinner here and the food (sushi) all floated in sauce so much so that you could not taste the fish and it made the rolls hard to handle to eat. The seafood yakisoba had no flavor and where sauce should have been present lightly there was none. The staff was nice and attentive but also we over heard them giving another table of 7 that was running late a hard time and told them that they may not have a table because they were getting busy, half of the tables were empty???? Would not recommend this if you like flavorful sushi but if you are new to this dish this would be a place to get your tastebuds started into Japanese food.

My opinion is this is the best sushi in this area. Has a Korean bbq for the non sushi eaters which is nice. Friendly staff. If you like spicy tell Bruce to make it hot!

No Early Bird Special. I had the Chirashi and they out the dish in a small bowl that it's hard to navigate around the food. The rice wasn't great and service was rushed. Don come to dinner. Do lunch as a better option where you save a third off a bunch of dishes.

I only give 2 stars because it was my childs birthday andy I told the waitress twice and she comforted me they would sing to him. It was during the week and slow. They brought the chech and picked it up. I waited for them to sing and nothing. Im a single mom and the kids were done waiting so we are walking out the door and I inform the lady how I wish they would have sang to my son for his birthday.( like I had asked for two times in advance) She then tells me to come back and they will fix something for him but we had been there for 2 hours by that time... way to long.. she waited for us to leave till they were willing to do anything for him. Bad. Bad bad

Food was excellent service was decent. Was really surprised that when we got our bill they automatically charge you a gratuity tax. Make sure you read your bill carefully I was going to leave the server a nice cash tip and saw they already charge a gratuity tax so didn't. Sad for the waitress because I would have left her a bigger cash tip until I saw they put in their own gratuity. So instead of getting a 20 percent tip she got 10 percent. Hope they at least start telling customers they do this. It should be up to the customers to decide what they want to leave the server not the establishment.

Love the quality of sushi and sashimi. We visit everytime we come to town. Not to mention service is great. We always order roll and sushi. The food came out at the same time which I love it so much. I always order diffrent type of sushi and my husband order roll. They know how long does sushi takes to make so they start making roll later than sushi. So we can enjoy the food at the same time. I am so impressed. Make my expriance amazing.

I have been coming here for nine years, it was my first sushi experience. Four, unfortunate years ago, Minatos was bought out by a different owner. Since then, the quality of fish and service has gone far downhill. So far downhill I haven't visited very often at all, since the new owners. EVERY EXPERIENCE since the new owners? Not so so hot. A better sushi experience is found across the river, in Bullhead City.

Delicious! Not cheap! You get what you pay for. Service was really good, sat at the bar. Very filling but did cost around only $50 plus tax for 2 people. Atmosphere is very lively, and easy on the eyes. Music was nice. Very upbeat vibe. Most likely just a radio station. Food tasted fresh and was great.

We have eaten here several times during our many trips to Laughlin. The restaurant is nice and decor is nice. Not the decor I would expect from many Japanese or Korean restaurants that I have eaten at but I will not judge a restaurant on decor. The restaurant is a nice size and and has a comfy feel. The food is not bad but it does fill your tummy. I will admit the Orange crush is deliscious and is a must try. I have dined at many Korean restaurants and dined at many Japanese restaurants. There are some tasty dishes on the menu but not worth the price. The sushi itself is not bad but not the best I've had. The staff though were friendly and attentive. They answered many questions we had about the menu. The dishes came out quickly. I will admit that my partner and myself do eat at many Asian restaurants and have certain expectations but Minato is just good restaurant with decent food. Also when we see Korean BBQ, we expect to have BBQ on the table where they bring you the thinly slice beef, chicken , and pork to cook yourself. We have eaten at numerous places where this is the case. The Korean food we had though was still deliscious though we felt it was missing something. Overall. This is not a bad place to eat. The service is always great and the food decent.
