But after finding this restaurant - I'll be looking forward to my next trip!The best kept secret in Las Vegas - truly off the beaten path in a place you wouldn't think to look for it - this place is AWESOME! The food was absolutely splendid - frankly, for my dollar, one of the best meals I've had in years. And the ambiance splendid. Great food - no fuss. Can't wait for my next meal here!

Great setting on the lake, we enjoyed the lunch menu. I had a Cobb salad and French onion soup. My friend had a Caesars salad then a pasta dish. We finished with the frozen lemon souffle. Which was excellent. The waiter we had a man.... sorry cant remember his name was very good too.

This is another great restaurant that is not on the strip. With the lake views you almost forget you're in the desert. Thw food was fantastic. Staff was very friendly and the live musician was playing just the right tempo for this kind of meal and date night

A wonderful French restaurant that sits right on the edge of the lake. We went for Sunday brunch (which is all day) and it was pretty great. The staff was extremely friendly and polite, they just recently finished remodeling so it looks nice for the most part. I got the eggs Benedict with short braised ribs, it was very good. The chicken crepes however were not popular with our party. I would definitely go back, it's a nice atmosphere and a great date restaurant.

We arrived 5 minutes early, waited 45 minutes for our reservation - which we were fine to do but had to awkwardly stand in the way of runners and serving staff as there was no where to wait! The food was good, the salmon I had was well cooked and tasted great. The musician added to the Saturday evening ambience and overall I enjoyed the experience!

This is one of the greatest locations in the city. It is everything you could possibly want. From a quick casual drink with a friend at the bar to an amazing restaurant on the lake with a fabulous view. Incredible wine selection, great staff and fabulous service. I can't recommend it enough!

It was always one of my favorite places. But the last few times I've been have been disappointing. The menu is just blah!!nothing exciting and the food itself is just blah!!I had the seared scallops. Zero flavor!super rubbery and I'm not sure what that was they served it on. Tiny pebbles!!not a big fan anymore. Grab a bottle of wine and eat somewhere else..

The wine choices were good. The pours were less than generous and appeared measured. With an open bottle list that extensive for wine by the glass one would expect a good pour rather than drinking wine that's been uncorked for lengthy periods. The quality is lost so why not spoil your customer. Good wine selection in the storefront with some unique choices. The food was just ok. Two people at our table had chicken that was totally undercooked and raw inside. I would definitely be careful on what you order to eat there especially with the specialty items. Overall, the meal was oversalted and nothing to write home about. Stop in, purchase a good bottle of wine, and go home to eat. You won't be missing anything.

A beautiful wine bar / wine store - restaurant situated on the water in Lakeside. There's a cute turtle that sunbathes on the rock out front of a little footbridge that crosses a stream to the private dining room. Ceiling fans with misters, partial open dining. More than comfortable considering it was 107°. There's also a fireplace that I'm sure is very lovely in the winter. The chef made me white bean crostinis and a vegan paella for dinner. It was divine. A menu for every palate and the biggest wine book I've EVER seen.

Terrific lunchtime experience. Although they certainly tend towards fine dining, they do have a simple children's menu, which was a surprise. The bread set the table was fresh out of the oven, light and crusty. The foie gras was excellent - perfectly cooked, and a superb cut. Mussels were in a tasty broth, those though the bivalves themselves were only ok. Other items ordered pleased the table. A word about their wine: You enter through a wine shop. While I regrettably didn't have time to peruse the store, they clearly have a sizable selection. The wine surprise, however, was their list which was exclusively by the glass. I tend to be skeptical of by the glass wine, though their offerings were rather extensive, up to and including Ch. Margaux's second wine. I had a superb Sonoma blend that could have passed for a Bordeaux Super Second, and could detect little of the usual "wine by the glass" issues. Highly recommended

We used to come here often, but stopped for a time as the menu remained the same, but we decided to give it another try, and over the years we remained on their email distribution. (A former wait staff is from our home county in Maryland) I am so glad we came back. Marche Bacchus has definitely upgraded their menu. The food was perfect and our staff absolutely made us feel at home.

This was a wonderful place on a beautiful lake. The food was delicious and was prepared wonderfully. There was a lot of variety for a small place. The atmosphere was very elegant yet relaxing. There was a very extensive wine selection and the staff were very helpful with recommendations to pick the right bottle! Even though the restaurant was full the wait time was not long. All of the staff were very courteous! It was well worth the drive from downtown Vegas!

First time in the store in the restaurant looking for French wine. I found they had a very small selection of wine the prices were probably 10 to 30% higher than they should be. Their food menu was that excellent. But I found the French wine lacking in diversity

Food was good. I had my typical well done filet and potatoes my friend had the rack of lamb and said it was the best he'd had. They do need to dust though. Sat by a floor fan that was covered...no caked in dust...and whatever you do don't sit under a ceiling fan until someone gets up there with a scraper and gets the dust off them.

I've eaten at Marche Bacchus on numerous occasions. It is one of only a handful of restaurants in town, where you can sit on a lakeside patio. The front of the restaurant is a wine bar and store. One thing I love is, you can pick your bottle of wine from their store and enjoy it with your meal. During my most recent trip, we went for lunch and shared the: (1) lump crab salad; and the (2) charred octopus. Both of the dishes are great. The crab salad was light and refreshing, but still had plenty of crab. The octopus was perfectly cooked. It was tender, but firm enough to maintain its form and lightly smokey from the char. For main courses, we ordered the (1) roasted chicken & spinach salad; and (2) the forbidden rice with chicken. The salad was a perfect blend with spinach, quinoa, walnuts, and cranberries. It was a great mix of flavors and textures. The risotto was creamy, but not overly gooey. I was very impressed with the tastes. The staff, as always, was very friendly and attentive. This is the best place in town to enjoy a glass of wine and great meal on a lake.

Great little French place in Desert Shores. Loved the patio lunch with the pre-fixe options and complimentary wine. The salmon sandwich entree was delicious. Creme bruleé was tasty! It was nice sitting outside-shaded with fans and an opening to view the lake. Would also be cute in winter as they have a fireplace. They were very gracious about letting us sit outside during their transition from lunch to dinner!

This place really needs to get it together. I had a Valentine’s Day reservation in which they decided to tell us it was okay to come 45 minutes early to be seated, when we got there they were so behind that they were still seating the 8:30 reservations at 9 pm. To top it off the hostess was incredibly rude about the mistake and offered no resolution. Not to mention they had severs running platters back and forth through the front door making it difficult to even wait in the lobby. Also, when I made the reservation, the person who booked me never told me that we could only order off the Valentine’s Day menu, the menu in which my girlfriend is allergic to half of. This place has been through a couple buyouts and new ownership, it’s just lost its charm over time. They didn’t even care enough to try and get us to stay when we finally decided to leave. Went here for a private event. Food was mediocre. Staff did not appear to want to be serving us as none smiled. The part of the patio where the event was held only had 2 small misters for a group of 50 people, and was therefore inadequate for a summer luncheon. I noticed the lower patio had misters throughout the ceiling and the interior was nice. This might be a good place for a small dinner or lunch, but I wouldn't recommend a party.

I love the restaurant and the ambiance. The food is good but the service totally sucks. It has always been bad but this time in particular it totally sucked. I purchased the groupon for 4 as my husband and i wanted to take my 2 children to a special lunch. They were both visiting from out of state and this was a special occasion. Super disappointed in the service. We did not even get our wine and water for 30 minutes. It wasn’t a busy time of day (2pm) and several of the tables were left dirty and not cleaned up. We all ordered soup as an appetizer and they only brought 2 and told us the other 2 soups would be brought with the entre.....huh? That did not make any sense to us and we complained. They finally brought the other 2 soups about 15 minutes later. The entire experience was not good due to the service. A big disappointment. There were several other minor issues not worth complaining about but certainly disappointing. If you would like to call me to discuss further my number is 858-8910. And again the ambiance and location is an A+ in my book but there is a definite need for more training in the service staff. Our whole was experience was not even worth the price of the groupon. So sad.

The food here is excellent. Maybe not the best desserts you'll ever have but, eh. The wine selection seems to be curated with care. People complain about the corkage fee but remember that you're not paying the "restaurant mark-up" and ten bucks is a steal compared to that. The lake view is very pretty and the restaurant is nicely appointed. The service was a bit slow but it was made up for in quality.

The view is nice, but the food is overrated with tiny portions. Food-wise it reminds me of French restaurant in the late 90's where the focus was on the plate design and not so much on the food. The saffron risotto had barely any saffron flavor. However, the escargot and onion soup were both big hits at the table. The beet salad was just beets with a tiny bit of goat cheese; while the beets were good and plated nicely, it was not at all inspired.

This restaurant continues to be a "go to" for my family and I. I live in the area and this is my favorite place for wine tastings on the weekend and their amazing brunch. You must try the charcuterie plate! The atmosphere here is almost unmatched with the fire places, soft lighting and outdoor seating.

Excellent service and a beautiful location near a man made Lake. The majority of the dining space is on a heated patio that offers a few fireplaces and great views. Their brunch menu is very diverse and any are good choices. Unlimited mimosas for $20. They also have caviar selections if you wish to try something more extravagant. The indoor space is also a great wine shop. I would definitely recommend and I plan to go back for dinner sometime as well.
