Great service, great food, great time. Delicious menu to work your way through! Everything we had was expertly prepared and served. Loved it so much we got a flatbread to go!

Shelby Grant

My favorite local place on the strip! Mac and cheese as it should be, good and efficient service, great price and this wonderful vibes. Not a luxury by any mean, but so damn good, come and have a look at real vegas cuisine. We very much enjoyed the food and the wine at Carson Kitchen! Prices are very reasonable, given this is a proper kitchen cooking decent contemporary food - and there is some genuine creativity here too.

Darla Dowker Jackson

We came to Carson Kitchen based on its Google reviews. We were not disappointed. It is refreshingly local. We had dinner on the rooftop. We were there in early April, and were lucky there were outdoor heaters. The food was great and the service was fantastic. I haven't had carbs in six months, but I forgot it all at the words "donut bread pudding". It was worth every bite.

Robert Powers

The ambiance was captivating, the food exotic, yet simple, very tasteful and presentations out of the ordinary. The front and back of house staff were very engaging. My tab came in a book off the shelf. I missed out on the dessert because I ate too much. The drinks were spectacular. Carson Kitchen will be a regular stop when in Vegas. I loved being in the Historic / Art District of Downtown, Fremont Experience East Side.

jalamis1

The wait was longer than anticipated, but we could see why. The food was amazing. It’s been a while since we enjoyed our meal this much. Highly recommend, but make a reservation!

Angela Warwick

Every time we are in town, we have to stop by here at least once. The menu is inventive, but comforting, complex and simple. The staff are friendly, and the kitchen staff shows a genuine love for their craft.

Layne Jones

Best food we had in Vegas. Rissoto was incredible and the Bread Pudding for dessert was phenomenal. This is a must visit when in town, well worth the cab fare from the Strip.

Mikko Niemioja

Great food at reasonable prices.

Iwona Karpeta

Interesting concept. Loved the idea of sharing several small dishes. Everything was delicious. Best white sangria I've had in a while too

Angelina Lilly

The Service, Food and atmosphere A+ all around...I wanted my steak cooked well done - The absolute best New York Strip I have ever had ! There are a few restaurants that could learn how to cook a well done steak..We loved this place!

Charles Contreras

Didn't live up to the hype. We got 2 apps before our cocktails. Purple hazy was way to lemon juice forward, not balanced. The person running the expo awkwardly dropped off the wrong salad. Had to say something of course. Later he dropped off another dish without even saying anything. Seemed odd for someone who seemed like a manage to do that. Server was nice, when we saw her. No check in to see how we were doing, no 2 bite 2 min check when our steak was dropped. (Over cooked by the way). People sitting next to us were in and out in under 30min. While we waited 20 just for cocktails. Would love to try again but also don't want to waste my money on another night out and not get the experience we deserve.

Hanna H

Food was amazing! We got 4 dishes and all 4 were incredibly tasty. Walking distance from Freemont street.

Nicolas Vermalle

Waow, i didn’t expect that, it doesnt look like a high end resto but the food was amazing. The manager specifically arranged the courses for our big group so that all tastes and wishes could be satisfied.

Angela Tortilla

Great chill place - reminded me of Philly’s hipster bars. Awesome mixed drinks (try the Smokey mezcal), pork belly was fantastic, service was great. The Brussel kale salad and fried chicken sandwich were ok. Check this place out!! No wait on a Friday night at 830

Cristiano Ramos

Not shy with spice, Matthew smartly serving a modified Beachcomber to help tame the heat of chopped Jalapenos on top of juicy Pork, it was to the delight of two separate diners that both a Wild Boar Sloppy Joe and Chicken slicked with Alabama White Sauce were deemed worthy champions in their respective categories, the Aioli on the Sandwich particularly well-matched to the Tiki Drink's Cointreau

Alan Cameron

Turned up 45min before last orders.Great service amazing food.Ordered 4 dishes and it was plenty. Not to expensive and worth every penny.

Dwayne Schwartz

Late dinner at the Carson Kitchen means some items not available, but those that are left are very good. Bean sprouts with a pimento cheese spread, the Butter Burger, pork appetizers, all unusual but tasty. None of us liked the mushroom flatbread because it was very tart, but everything else was nicely presented. Highly recommend.

Steve Opilo

This place is tiny, so it can be difficult to get in during the dinner rush. We tried again on a different day for lunch and had more success. Everything is appetizers that are meant to be shared, so if you come with a group, you can sample a variety of flavors, which is nice.

Amanda W

Delicious! One of the best Mac n cheese dishes ever! My burger was juicy, the bun was super soft. Amazing, even though my husband stole half of it! And we might have fought over the last couple of tater tots too. We’ll be back next year for a nice break from Fremont Street.

Chris Burns

Food was amazing, service was great, and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend!

Joanna Mueller

Carson is always fantastic. The food, the service the atmosphere. I love it. My most favorite restaurant downtown for sure!!! Came in on my lunch break and was in and out under an hour.

Suzanne Leigh

Food good. Place very undesirable location. Won't go back.

Laura Benavides

Ah- maz -ing! Black rice and oxtail rissoto is to die for!! Love bringing visitors here!!!

J May

I'm not a fan of hipster food, but if you are, check this place out. The burger I had was pretty good. I only got that because nothing else sounded good. Just not my kind of place. Make reservations because they were busy.

Darcy Wiens

This is by far one of the best places in Las Vegas the food is fantastic and not overpriced like so many places on the strip. Make this a must go to place.

Joe Bevins

Great food. Dessert was awesome. Service was top notch.

Angie Moreno

Ok location for American food. I was so full. Fast, efficient, and courteous service. It has a good interior.

Jasmine C

The food was amazing. We ordered a variety of small plates. The server was on top of her game, never missed a beat. Super efficient. You have to try the gyro tacos, tempura green beans, ny steak, watermelon feta salad. We tried most of the dishes and the only mediocre one was the fried green tomatoes. Broccoli salad was great, rainbow cauliflower. Bacon jam with brie and Crostini was excellent. Their desserts are amazing too. They serve a brown butter bacon ice cream with brownie. Donut bread pudding. Peach upside down cake was excellent. You can't go wrong. We made a rezzie

zeal stones

One of the best restaurant in Las Vegas. Went multiple times but same quality at affordable cost

Mike Wrona

If you're by yourself, it's not a bad place to go. If you're with a small group (2-4), it's a FANTASTIC place to go. It's tapas style restaurant and the dishes are designed to be shared. The food is great and the rooftop patio is a good time. Go with a small group and try several dishes or if you're alone and starving, go by yourself and eat your feelings away.

Doug Reynolds

Amazing food, helpful and quick staff. "Devil's" Eggs are the best deviled eggs I have ever eaten, and I'm from North Carolina. Fun but intimate atmosphere.

Jamie Derbyshire

Recommended Carson's Kitchen whilst checking out Freemont street by a local whilst celebrating a friends birthday in Vegas from UK. Great food and vibe, a refreshing alternative once the strip has taken its toll! Much easier on the wallet too but quality of food was fantastic. Will be back next time...

Jay Bernen

I heard about this place by Googling "best restaurants in Vegas" about three months passed before I actually tried the place. I had high expectations and they were all met. The bartender was a little busy but she did great and she was very informal. I'll be back with friends.

Alex Orchilles

Tried out their Sunday Chicken on a Wednesday and to my surprise it was still fresh and delicious! All jokes aside, this place is amazing. Cool atmosphere, decent prices for the quality you get, and probably one of the greatest chicken sandwiches I've ever tried. It comes with a spicy pickle aioli which is a sauce I wish I had every day of my life. Try it out!

Pamela Sullivan

Fine location for delicious American food. arrived at six, it was not packed. this place has a nice feel to it. ambience reminds me of san diego's scene.

Segaro Bozart

Delicious! The food was uniquely prepared and creative. There is an energy that is undeniable. The alcohol selection includes some unique choices as well. If you want to try something different that is fresh, must come here.

caleb wolfe

This was just average for me. The location is nice and clean. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The portions were not that great. I thought the overall value was not there. The gyro tacos did not taste like gyros. The burger tasted good but was overpriced in my opinion. We went there based on all the reviews and were underwhelmed.

Rochelle Dias

Delicious food, wonder service and a great atmosphere.

Steve Klos

Good food without a high cost.

Alan Jones

Maybe I'm spoiled but after a week of superb delicous food this place was underwhelming. My wifes salmon(?) Was so spicy it was almost on fire when it was delivered. My burger on the other hand was as bland as wallpaper paste. Would not go back too many better burger places around

Brent

Without a doubt this was easily one of my favorite places to eat in Vegas. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, the kitchen staff were on point, and the service was attentive. I enjoyed how perfectly prepared the burger and tots were. I was yearning for some comfort food and this place hit the nail on the head. After my meal, I almost ordered an appetizer because everything that went through the window/pass looked great. Instead, my server suggested the bread pudding and I caved in. it was the best bread pudding I've ever had. Each bite was incredible. I know the next time I come to Vegas, I'll be back.

Diane Baker

Probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The truffle filet was amazing and I have never tasted anything better. The desert selection is top notch as well, never seen anything like it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would definitely take your wife or girlfriend here if you are looking to impress. Cheers!

Albert Diaz

The food was amazing. Everything I tasted had so much flavor. The bacon jam with brie, the NY Strip, pork belly, tempura green beans, devils egg, and a Get Shorty drink to go with my meal! A few buddies took me there on my last day at Vegas and so glad this was it!

Christina Van Zandt

Had their wild mushroom flatbread and donut bread pudding. Crazy amazing food, great prices and fantastic service! My friend had Secret Sunday Chicken sandwich - yes, it was fried, but lemme tell you - that was an AMAZING fried chicken breast. Cooked perfectly, light crispy flour breading outside, juicy flavorful inside. Trendy urban atmosphere. Overall, really well done. With their reasonable prices (aka not-Vegas Strip prices,) what have you got to lose to try this great little place.

Darcy Lowe

I will definitely visit again thank you

Nick T

I tried this place before so that's why I'm giving it 2 stars. However, today we were a bit disappointed with the service this time. As we walked through the door we saw about 2 open tables and asked the hostess to put our name down. I think she must have been having difficulty calculating accurate wait times because she said "yea...ummm...its going to be about an hour wait, we'll text you when your table is ready, you can walk around". We decided to try another place that had a shorter wait time but as soon as we got to the other restaurant we got a text that our table was ready at Carson Kitchen..how completely inconvenient! I can understand if a huge group might have left but, come on! It's not too big of deal but we saw two open tables so it was quite obvious we would get seated in less than an hour but when I had originally asked if it would for sure take 1 hour the hostess was very positive...just left a bad taste in my mouth. Took my money elsewhere.

Mountain Dave

Went here 2 years ago and it was so good I had to go back this time around. I wasn't disappointed and and will be back next time I'm in town.

Winnie Hazlett

Been here multiple times! Probably one of my favorite places to eat in Las Vegas. I have never had a bad dish from the menu so of course 5 stars from me. It is wise to make a reservation but if you don't mind waiting order a refreshing cocktail.

Melanie B

Excellent food. Excellent service. Lived the fried green tomatoes

S Valenti

Considering its downtown and has a good lunch menu, the prices seem pretty high. We enjoyed the food

Raul Wolley

I have been to Carson Kitchen several times. Five of us gathered to share plates and taste the items on the new summer menu--a menu composed of the most ordered items at Carson Kitchen during its five years. The restaurant recently marked its 5th year in business.

Autumn Richardson

Get the black rice risotto. It's an odd dish, but super yummy! Crispy chicken skins could be revved up a notch with a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

Roya Rakhshani

Loved this restaurant, it is off the strip, so if you are in in mood to eat at a local place, this is the place for you. Variety of Tapas style appetizers, each better than the next. The killer shrimp is delicious. Get a few entrees and share.

Rick Langlois

Fantastic food and great service. I had the watermelon and feta salad, and split the deviled eggs with my dinning companion. I had the Sangria to drink. The Sangria was really good and refreshing, made with white and sparkling wine. The watermelon salad was good, with my only complaint being that the feta should have been smaller chunks or broken up (which I did myself) as feta can be overpowering in such larch chunks (1"x1"). My buddy ordered the butter burger (medium) and raved about it. The staff nailed it. Not too many visits to the table, and not invisible. They were knowledgeable about the menu, and friendly. Thanks Geronimo!

Melanie Yap

Service was amazing. We got there at around 5pm and it was relatively empty. We got the fried chicken skin which was amazing! The honey dip was the perfect complement. The NY strip steak and blackened catfish was awesome as well. Small caveat is that these main dishes don't come with sides in general. Steak dish was just steak with the glaze. Catfish was the fish with a small amount of slaw garnish which I found to be enough of a side. Their Mac n Cheese was great.

Shannon Rodriguez

Amazing! I come here e verytime I in LV for work. I dream about the chicken skins!

Shadow Beast

So First at all, the Food is Great here. It is very tasty and has an high quality. Therefor the prices are pretty high and you have to order the sides extra to your main menu. But unfortunately that was it. The service was very very bad. I won’t tell the waiters name, but we waited like 15 minutes for our drinks. The waiter brought me my starter ,my colleague the main menu and the other 4 persons nothing. They got there main meal a bit later. I got mine much later and the first person was finished and had to look how the others eat. So it was not simultan as in normal Restaurants, it was a Chaos. Also the Restaurant was very cold. I don’t know why they had the A/C so high. (Our table was unfortunately very near). The furniture is quiet uncomfortable. The seats are so tiny it hurts to sit. I think they want to be fancy, but it does not work. Maybe I will give the restaurant a second chance, but I am not sure.

Sean Heighton

Really cool eatery located in old Vegas. Tapas style with large range and good taste mix. Highly recommend

Anne Declouette

Had a great time! Nice music and atmosphere. Inside bar and dining areas as well as a very well laid out outdoor (up and down) area. Food always fabulous, meaning fresh, well plated and very appetizing. We had deviled eggs (with caviar) and shrimp appetizer with oxtail risotto, blackened catfish and beets entree and sides. Love that they bring out food as it is prepared so you can graze and share for an enjoyable and casual meal. The service was excellent. Our server, Yashelle, took care of us. And, when I mentioned my cocktail wasn't as sweet as I like, they tweaked it to (my) perfection. Bathrooms are clean. Metered parking across the street.

Sharon Huskey

Great eatery. Specialty foods hat are absolutely delicious. A little hard to find but we'll worth tje hunt

Terri Whitman

Prices are way to high for what you are served. Food was just ok. We had a large party of people and they lied to us about the prices, it ended up costing twice as much as what was quoted. We will not return.

Miss Julie

Mac cheese, steak, bacon jam OMG, and risotto. Loved the bacon jam!!

Delani Denton

I went here for my birthday and was amazed at the service and food. We weren’t able to make a reservation and waited for a while, but the team compensated with appetizers and dessert. The food was amazing and we loved the atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!

Brian Danielson

Amazing food. Cocoa-espresso steak medium rare was perfect, mac and cheese with truffle oil a delight.

Philipp Ehrenfried

Fantastic food and atmosphere.

Ben Theis

I'm torn with this review. The food and service was excellent. Unique dishes that tasted great. The chicken skins and Mac and cheese were phenomenal. The service from our waiter was awesome. The issue was the pretentious atmosphere, manager and cooks along with them not willing to modify any dishes (like adding a topping to a flat bread or providing blue cheese to appetizer). This really took away from the experience. Disappointed by that but food and waiter service was good.

Allegra Chambers

We had such a special meal here, but it was a little funny because we accidentally ordered everything with some kind of bacon in it (even our dessert)! It was all perfectly balanced though, so it wasn't too rich or heavy. The plates are made for sharing, which we did and I recommend because you're going to want to taste everything. It's small, so they have some communal tables to save space, and I loved the purse hook under the table top- very clever. It is a little expensive, but worth it. Casual and hip atmosphere.

Andrew B

Best meal I had this past visit to Las Vegas. Stayed on the strip but came down to Carson Kitchen on a recommendation by the bartender. Had the bacon jam appetizer, buffalo pork belly, and their take on a bang bang shrimp. All three were amazing. For the main course I had the cocoa & coffee crusted NY strip. This steak was better than some I've had at the big name steak houses in the hotels. Don't be discouraged by what street its on or being off Fremont a little, it's only a block and a half away. Easy walk. Well worth the visit.

AJ Halling

Awesome dinner spot near Fremont street. The truffle Mac n Cheese is to die for.

Richard Brown

Great food, met Gordon Ramsey while I was there. So that should say a lot for the place.

Andrew Magana

Small, intimate restaurant where you can see your food being made. Honestly I loved this spot. Drinks were good and food was very satisfying / filling

David Thomson

Great service (thanks Brooke), fun menu, very reasonable priced. Though the drink menu is not huge, it's very good and will have something for everyone. My group shared some of their meal. The gyro tacos, the Hot Italian (sandwich) were outstanding. I would love to review their desserts, but we were to full too try them. This is worth going out of your way.

Justin Brooks

Great little joint. My son and I both had the burger. It was delicious. Friendly, attentive but not overbearing waitstaff was a plus. Decent charm. Enjoyed the "sign the book" check idea. Not a huge place so can get crowded quick. Chose it on a whim as it was close to where we were and had good ratings. It did not disappoint and we'll return next time we're down that way to explore more menu offerings. Definitely recommend for a quality quick bite to fuel your Fremont adventures.

Baba H

Carson's Kitchen, you will fall in love with this place. Love the ambience. Cool staff. We went there after busy day at work in Vegas. They have a good and short menu. The sea bass and lamb tacos are fab. They offer good choices for your appetizer. Make sure you call them and this place is too busy. They have a upper deck open seating arrangements. There is also a fire place in backyard of this restaurant. You can walk up to the Fremont Street after dinner from here. Must visit place when you go to Vegas. I have been there 3 times in one trip.

Mike Dunne

Really cool place! Off the path but worth the walk from Old Vegas. Great shared plates and very personable staff.

Rob Meyer

You need some of the crispy chicken skin accompanied by some spicy honey whilst here.

EP333

Food was great and ambiance was awesome. Rooftop was perfect. Good music too. Highly recommend.

Rj Long

Took my wife here for Valentine's day, incredible food and really fun menu with a very intriguing variety of options. We had fun together in the warm atmosphere of the place. We really enjoyed this place and are going to be returning in the foreseeable future.

Jeff Saling

Super yummy food. Great service. Cool atmosphere.

Chris Corrao

Best restaurant in Downtown Vegas IMO. Food was awesome, it wasn't touristy (like most downtown places). Extremely recommended.

Eric Gallegos

Food is great, service is great. One of downtown's hidden gems.

Tonia Jackson

Had the opportunity to sit at the chef's counter and saw all the food as it left the kitchen. That was great in itself, but the food was all amazing too. Great experience.

Tanya Koller

If we could have ordered one of everything and eaten it, we would. We had the Devil's Eggs, Tempura Green Beans, Bacon Jam, Meatloaf Patty Melt, Butter Burger, Crispy Chicken Skins with Honey, Gyro Tacos, and BLT pizza....and it was all excellent. Staff was courteous and kind and we really enjoyed our meal on the upper level. I higy recommend.

Jebplays Minecraft

The Pros. The ambiance was beautiful. The location has a great pay to park lot across the street. The green beans, deviled eggs, mac and cheese, burger, and cocktails were delicious. The Cons. The host was rude. The food came out haphazardly and everyone ate at different times. The meatloaf was poorly prepared as it made me very ill. Despite that, I am guessing it was an off day for the cook.

Ryan Bridgen

This place was great. The food was fantastic, the place looks great and the service was excellent. We ordered the tempura green beans(holy cow), the veal meatballs(excellent), the chicken burger(highly recommend), jerk turkey burger(excellent) and the butter burger(highly recommend). Overall great time and great food. Will definitely be back.

Tamara J.

Great place to eat in downtown Las Vegas that is walking distance from the Fremont experience. Everything we ate was good. It is very rare to find a place where no matter what you order you will be happy, this is that place. The staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was inviting and urban chic. We ordered several shareable plates and left full. You cant go wrong with the tempura green beans, fried green tomatoes, shrimp or chicken thighs.

Joni Baker

The pork tenderloin is perfecto

Arielle Abeyta

I am giving them two stars because the food smelled delicious. However, I never got to try it. I was part of a party of five. We called to make reservations but were told it would be no problem to seat us. I arrived early and realized that at least half of their seating was metal stools. My party was going to be comprised of people who would find the stools very challenging and/or uncomfortable due to health reasons. I discussed this with the hostess and she was very clearly annoyed with me that I was being so specific in the type of seating we would need. Once my party had arrived we tried to look at some other seating options but they would still be very challenging. I was very frustrated because the seating at this restaurant felt discriminatory and the hostess was unwelcoming. So unwelcoming I would describe the her as cold and hostile. I finally asked for other restaurant recommendations and her boss gave us a suggestion - Eureka where the food was not nearly as good (I am guessing) but to be treated as if they actually wanted us in their restaurant or respected us as people was a huge relief after our terrible experience with Carson Kitchen.

cURRY gOODMAN

Nice and warm place.Amazing views!! Great collection of drinks to offer. Celebrated a birthday with absolutely delicious food and drinks.Service was very accommodating and staff were friendly and polite. Not so difficult to pay in cash and left with satisfied.

Melissa

Beet salad is brilliant! So was the rainbow cauliflower. Service was excellent and I got to watch other people cook while I sat and ate!

Stephen Brock

Very good food, close to downtown. It's not directly on Fremont so it wasn't super busy when we went. The devil's eggs are fantastic. The butter burger was good, and the brownie dessert was pretty fantastic. Friendly helpful staff, and a great dining experience, will come back for seconds!

Brian Moto

Best meal I've had in Las Vegas. Great service, excellent bar (loved the Manhattan), and meal. Try the watermelon and cucumber salad and Alabama chicken thighs.

Valerie S

Definitely recommend the gyros tacos appetizer and the pork tenderloin. They were exceptionally good. We ordered the chicken sandwich and deviled eggs, too, but it was the pork that stole the show for us. And I don't even care for it normally. Their preparation made it delicious..I would go back just for that.

Dorian Grahamorhuddlestone

The menu at Carson Kitchen is very simple in my view. Jason, our server, helped us make some choices. We chose items from the Social Plates and Farm & Garden parts of the menu. We started out with the Devil's Eggs. They were deviled eggs topped with crispy pancetta and caviar. When you bite into them, you get the salty burst of flavor from the caviar and the crispy texture from the pancetta. Next we had the pork belly with buffalo bleu beurre blanc. The pork belly was perfectly cooked and the beurre blanc gave it a little kick. We then had the Fried Green Tomatoes topped with lump crab ravigote(almost like a Cole slaw, but with finely shredded crab meat.) We ended our meal with the veal meatballs topped with a sherry foie gras cream. Talk about rich! However, the best dish was the Fried Green Tomatoes.

Jennifer DeWitt

Amazing food and you must sit at the bar and talk to the line cook and chef. They made the experience even better!

Liz Carmouche

I shared four dishes with a friend. We had the gyro tacos, rainbow cauliflower, Turkey burger, and bread pudding. Everything was delicious . The Turkey burger wasn't my favorite but I was venturing to try something differen . I really liked the mango salsa on it.

Jean Marie Smith

Great atmosphere and service. Food was wonderful.

Sue Floyd

First time here.. great service but food was hit and miss for us. Loved the ‘devil’s eggs’, shrimp appetizer somewhat standard spicy fried shrimp with mayo based coating and chicken sandwich was dry. Lots of fried food... the menu was a little tough for us to find something we wanted to eat. There were other options on the menu but would probably not go back.

Mike Nesbit

Great food. Good service. Priced right.

Tim Wright

Vegas's hidden gem. What a great place to relax and enjoy a fun time with friends. The small plate eating style make it easy to enjoy a large selection from the menu. I recommend sharing as many items as you can. The bartender is a fantastic mixologist and the wait staff is top notch! I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the city.

Nance Porter

Clean and comfortable. Good food here

Matt Mauceri

Yum! That sums it up. Great place to share some food and drink. So many yummy options. Really liked the carrot dish we got to go with our chicken. Thighs.

Cameron Young

Amazing food. Sat at the kitchen bar got a nice show and banter to go with the food.

Dana Lewis

I should that restaurant had delicious food.

Monica Teara

The service and food were so phenomenal!!!! We ordered the bang bang shrimp was was soooo good, I had the watermelon feta salad, it practically melted in my mouth with a perfect balance of sweet and savory, we also had the Mac and cheese. Everything was so good, my only dislike was that there are absolutely no modifications made to the food and the atmosphere is a bit stuffy .... however the food and service are so impeccable it almost doesn’t matter ...

Patricia Henderson

The black rice and oxtail risotto is very good, love the chunks of oxtail. It is pretty salty but highly recommended to share with group. The Baked Mac and cheese is probably one of my favorites at a place, they do it right with the crunchy top but gooey cheese sauce, not chunky/clumpy at all. I don't recall which flatbread we ordered but I remember my friend obsessing over it.

Scott Toal

An excellent dining experience. Loved the location in older part of Las Vegas. A great break from the strip. The service was comfortable and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant, interesting and lended to the overall culture of the establishment. The food was prepared and served when ready. The steak was prepared with perfection. The chicken thighs were dynamite. Sprout and kale salad was fantastic. The shrimp appetizer was a definite win. The swear jar on the bar prevented me from cussing out the cook staff for how satisfying the meal was. When in Vegas make the trip.

Kjetil Granum Helgesen

Ok place with nice bar like atmosphere! Food was really good and they had gluten free beer! I'm a little bit disappointed that they didn't have a gluten free bun for the burger and gluten free wrap. That should be easy to provide. They should also consider having one of the two fryers gluten free.

유혜진

very creative food. and My best food in LV. I must visit this restaurant when I visit LasVagas again.

Jamie Russell

Always a joy, good food and staff

Rich Muller

Loved the cocoa espresso ribeye. And the spicy tater tots.

Susana Largaespada

The food and service was GREAT! But was not kid friendly. This is a great place for date night.

Leander Hille

Very tasty food. Nice staff. Loud, a bit uncomfortable seating, but has its own unique style.

Devon Goodlow

Great food and service. Open kitchen so you can watch the chefs get down. Warning you'll leave in a food coma!

Benjamin Bakaitis

Excellent mixture of casual and fine dinning. Great place to meet people and relax. Open kitchen makes this place fun even if you just want to sit and watch the chefs work! The menu is brilliant and the prices bearable if you have a bit of extra money to enjoy yourself in the evening. I think this is the best part of the Fremont neighborhood.

Linda Pogor

We held our wedding dinner here and it was fantastic! Matt was a fabulous host. He called me to let me know it was too windy to be up on the patio so they set us up in the courtyard with heaters. It was great.

Jenn McBride

Absolutely amazing!!! Had a few appetizers (it was so hard to choose which ones as they all sounded delicious) and the oxytail risotto. The food was out of this world! Definitely recommend.

Tami Caputo

Outstanding!! Best food downtown by a long mile! Ordered rainbow roasted cauliflower, beet salad, secret Sunday chicken sandwich and lastly, glazed donut bread pudding for dessert. Oh.Em.Gee. all of it so freaking delicious! And our server, Felicia - adorable and sooo great! 5 stars for food and service

Noam Lazarov

This is a must go to place while you are at Vegas. After pretty horrible restaurants throughout our road trip, this was amazing. All the food was divine, the service was great, and the glazed donut bread pudding is probably the best thing I have eaten in my whole life. Seriously, this is a wonderful restaurant.

Shelley Crispin

Excellent service (thanks Yachelle) and amazing food. Would definitely visit again when in town!

nika

It is a nice restaurant with fusion southern American food, most of their food are heavy and greasy which are not my type of food. However if you like these kind of food it is a the restaurant you should definitely try.

Justin Stewart

Ox Tail Risotto & Bread Pudding we’re fantastic

Kristin Pratt

Nice location for delicious American food. Quick, helpful, and friendly service. Prices that are reasonable.

Theodora Obilo

You can’t go wrong with anything here! Great service and absolutely spectacular, divine food! Shareable plates but very good portions! Just do while in Vegas !

James Davis

Probably the best meal we had during our stay. Great craft beer list. Cool setting just off Fremont. Try the burgers with an IPA. Drop a gratuitous "F" bomb and feed the swear jar. Swear jar tips go to the kitchen. Really good value for your money at this great little spot.

Devina Bascones

For the price of these little tapa plates not worth the money. Besides the cat fish was great. But not to spend $18 dollar on some small servings

Food was fantastic! Fun atmosphere and great service

The food is AMAZING, tapas style, eat as you go. The service was fantastic and Ethan was a great host and filled us in on the restaurant history and about the cuisine. The wait was somewhat long; however, WELL worth it. There is a small bar to grab a cocktail while you wait and an outdoor area.

Absolutely excellent. The mac and cheese is incredible, the steak was great. All outstanding, and the format of small dishes to share is great.

Delicious... very good food. Sat on the roof top, was perfect evening weather. We will be back again before this trip is over....

Joshua Havlik

Wonderful food with a unique dinning experience.

I ordered fried chicken skin that is so delicious. When I see menu board, foods are nice price and servers provided friendly service. I hope to visit again here.

Great food and service.

This is one of our favorite places to come when we are in Las Vegas! The food is ALWAYS awesome. The attention to detail here was very noticable! Nice people with a great vibe. Loved being able to watch the chef's at work while we had our lunch. Will of course be back again... Cheers!

Group of 11 family and friends very satisfied with the amazing service, delicious food, drinks are amazing. With the menu at Carson Kitchen the drinks and atmosphere this is a Win every time your in the area! Unique dishes, superbly prepared. Friendly, informal ambiance. Close to downtown Vegas but away from the noise and commotion. Found accidentally. Decided to have a early dinner. Food selection is limited but very good. Seating is limited so recommend going early or make reservations

Bill Taylor

Good food, rather a noisy environment and a staff that takes excellent care.

Steve Driver

Good food excellent service.

One of the best meals I've ever had in Vegas. A complete shock. Expecting typical bar food. Nope! Prepared very well and served appropriately. And delicious. I WILL be back. Next time with my wife.

Tom Gosnell

Great spot, had a delicious Chicken sandwich here with friends. Cocktails were strong and delicious - really hit the spot. Definitely a winner in the area, prices are reasonable for how great the food, service and ambiance is.

Mikal Boucher

We loved it. They just bring out food as it is ready. And all so good.

Cool place near Fremont St Great cocktails, yummy food tapas style Quick and friendly service

Stacie waited on us and was AWESOME. I requested an old fashioned with Bullit, which was FABULOUS; bartender NAILED it. On to the food. Deviled eggs with pancetta and caviar? EXCELLENT. Killer Shrimp? SUPERB way to describe the sauce and crunch! Veal meatballs with a sherry fois gras cream? AMAZING! suzanne asked us to try the bacon jam, and we regretted not ordering one! This place ROCKS tapas!

Carson Kitchen primarily serves modern American tapas style bar food. My favorite dish on a recent visit was the Crispy Chicken Skins. They were similar to pork rinds, addictive, and paired nicely with the side of smoked honey. I also had the Baked Mac & Cheese which was nicely cheesy with savory noodles. The Bacon Jam was unique: meaty and sweet with a little pepperiness. The Goulash was disappointing and had a relatively unpleasant aftertaste.

We were in from Austin tx. Had a great time and great dinner at Carson Kitchen. After walking through 105 degrees that Get Shorty margarita was excellent! We started with the edamame then moved on to the chicken thighs (Alabama white bbq sauce) -- Amazing, I'll never again think of chicken thighs the same! -- and the cocoa-espresso NY strip. Had the fried green tomatoes for the side (yum!). Carson Kitchen is the place we'll come back to when staying downtown. We just got back to Austin today. I ran out to the store for steak and chicken thighs to try to duplicate these dishes!

The food was really yummy! Cozy restaurant, but the food was excellent! The staff was also incredibly kind and provided top notch service. I will definitely return soon.

We looked for a restaurant near Fremont Street before heading to the Neon Museum. So glad we found Carson Kitchen (thanks Trip Advisor!). We weren’t big fans of Fremont Street but Carson Kitchen so surpasses its surrounding neighborhood. The decor is a very appealing sort of urban chic. The menu is full of sharing plates. We shared 5 among two of us which was just about right. They were all creatively prepared and absolutely delicious. The Devil’s Eggs, Pork Katsu and Bacon Jam were particularly good. For dessert, the Glazed Donut Bread Pudding was amazing. Overall, we really enjoyed our whole dining experience and the prices were very reasonable, especially for this caliber of food.

Eric Brewer

Just sat in the bar, but cocktail menu and bartender were awesome!

Unanimously voted our best meal in Vegas from start to finish. Each of the five items ordered was excellent. Do not mistake the fried chicken skins for pork rinds. These are just as you would expect.... the best part of fried chicken. The accompanying sauce is delish. The Mac'n'cheese and glazed donut bread pudding are musts.

Maxie Lugo-Oliva

Yes. Eat here. Do it. I can't say how did the pork belly is because unfortunately they were out of it, but the rest of it was delicious. and of being out of something is any indication the pork belly must be superb. Hands down the best chicken sandwich I've had anywhere. The mac and cheese is creamy and delicious. The fried green beans will make your children eat green beans.

Nice Burgers, very tasty. Friendly stuff. No Special decoration and comfort. Conclusion: Recommendation for an visit.

James Griggs

Excellent top to bottom. Love the family style dining and the vibe of the entire place. Second to none service. Best experience I have had in Las Vegas. Put it on your list!

Kamala Colvin

Close to downtown. Helpful, quick and very sociable staff and incredible service, but food was just average for me. Atmosphere was cozy and comfortable.

Seating is a little odd. It's weird to have the cooks directly in front of you. Asked to move to another table which was also a little awkward. It's not a very cozy place. It's small and very loud. Couldn't have a solid conversation with out having to say "what?" every few seconds. The food however was unbelievably good. Don't go here on a first date or when you want to have a conversation with people. But go here when you want a good meal.

Atmosphere and service were great! Our server was very nice and our food arrived quickly. We ordered the chicken thighs, bacon jam, and cauliflower and all of it was delicious! Honestly some of the best food I’ve had in years, will definitely be back!

Was walking by and stumbled onto this place. Great sliders and reasonably priced. One of the few places that serves food late. Nice decor. I enjoyed the experience and food.
