Great atmosphere, ok food, terrible management. They tried to fleece us for more money for a private table we had after we had easily covered the minimum. Tried 3 times to tell us we had to order more to cover the minimum when we could easily do the math and tell that we were well over. Finally the server came in and admitted they had made a mistake. This whole process took over an hour and we never saw the manger once. I have worked in the service industry for many years and this was the most unprofessional and deplorable attempts at fleecing I have ever seen. Would never consider this restaurant again.

Christopher Langan

Delicious Caprese. Best I have had. Lobster Ravioli was quite good. Service also very good.

Mark Prole

Stopped in right at a half price apps and drinks special. Both were very tasty! Good proximity to 'street' performers.

Linda Fontes

Wonderful food

Sunay

Really good attentive service on both visits. The warm bread came with olive oil and asked for butter and garlic and crushed pepper instead of balsamic. Quickly attended to with a smile. Food has been consistently good and they do a fairly good job with cooking the seafood, though the dishes are a bit heavily sauced. Good place overall

Rod Callele

Terrible service. Ignored for 20 min while the restaurant was basically empty. As we left upset the Waiter and Matradee argued about who's fault it was but neither wanted to deal with me about it. Happy Thanksgiving...NOT.

D Clark

Excellent atmosphere

Patrick Amaral

Staff was extremely rude... Food was average. Certainly not worth the price. When I spoke to the man bun manager, he could not care less. More into checking his social media status then to pay attention to our concerns.

Maria F

Amazing risotto, service was perfect. Went there for my dad's 60th and the service was amazing and sang and brought out coffee and cake on the house. Such a great experience thank you so much for making us feel like family. Everyone should visit this when in Vegas.

Jim Atkins

good food

Darrell Dixon

My wife and I loved it. Great atmosphere dining on the "patio" with views of St Marks Square and great for people watching. The food was delicious.

Robert Noebauer

Nice place

Kirk Hanson

Great bar and great staff

Robert Stazzonelli

Very good , not excellent. But I'm a harsh critic

Tommy Lynn Calhoun

Was able to be seated quickly without reservation-which was great! The zucchini soup was amazing as well as the coffee! Would definitely come back.

Rajiv Vyas

Great Italian food with top notch service. Very good options for vegetarians as well.

Ahmed Hany

Best italian place i have ever eaten in, i would love to see it open in egypt

Victor Ciuricov

We did my friends wedding. Service and location is nice. Cant say that food was really good. We got steak rib eye and it was very basic. Besides that chicken and soup also very simple. They might be good for some other meals but definitely did not impress us.

Paul Buchan

Great food. Atmosphere was also wonderful. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys good Italian food.

Horrible experience! When he finally came around, the waiter was not accommodating to our choices in food and drink. He tried to dictate to us to get what we did not want.. It was super slow! Had to pay extra for chips and salsa while we waited forever for our food. The watery $12 margueritas were served in water glasses. The meat was overcooked and dry. NOT going back!

Brian Wagnon

Service was slow. When we asked about our food, Marius C was very unprofessional. It's unfortunate that you can't even ask why you didn't get decent service. All we wanted was our food.

Derhem Abdellah

I went there a few times and I can say that their food and service is awesome. Also, you have a nice experience with the day ceiling while you eat. Expensive though and unclean toilets

John Sabedra

Great service and food.

I’m setting across from this place , I had food there Tuesday night and asked for a specific table , and came back because of the service , cam back tonight Thursday, and the hostess is different - the place has more than 25 empty tables outside , and the same exact table is empty and because we are 6 not 7 ( chairs on table ) she refused to give it to us , absolutely rude and disrespectful and disappointing that she can decide to cost the restaurant another 400$ worth of just food because she has zero customer service and financial management.

Michael Donohue

So much fun to eat here. You feel like you are in Italy in the evening, even at 11 at night. Good is amazing and the price is right. I usually split my food cause they give you a lot

Will H

Terrible-just terrible. Appetizers lacked seasoning and creativity. Entrees were severely overcooked and had to be sent back. Service was pretentious and slow. Atmosphere was somewhat neat, but overly fabricated. Bathrooms were gross and up three flights of stairs. Much better dining options available in Las Vegas.

amanda noble

We had our wedding meal here. I was a little apprehensive as read some of the reviews. However the food hear was amazing and so was the service. Our wedding guests have not stopped raving about the food and how nice it all was. One couple from our wedding party ate here two more times as they enjoyed it that much. When we come to Vegas again this will definitely be a restaurant we will be coming back to. Amazing place.

Food was great but very expensive

JDF

Awesome authentic Italian restaurant. Beautiful view !

ita soto

Good Italian food!! A+

Chris Sauer

This is by far my most favorite Restaurant in Las Vegas!! We come here every year for business conventions and eat at least once, but mostly twice!! The pasta, and pizza are our favorites!! The price fits the price and great service!!

Kenneth Castillo

This waiter made our dinning experience a joy. We need more servers like him.

Randy Schultz

Really authentic Italian food in a beautiful recreation of St Mark's square.

Joshua Purnell

Brilliant food and ever better service. We stopped for lunch as we liked the look of the menu when passing. It’s only $28 for 3 course including a drink. Both our starters was full of flavour, we had the tomato motzorella and the green salad. Mains we had the salmon and the chicken, again both cooked to perfection and really tasty. We were served by Kurt, great at his job and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Jason Wheeler

Very good food and a cool atmosphere!!!!

We got married at the Venetian and decided to have our wedding dinner at Canalettos. Overall, I would say the food and service was great. The only issue we had is that we felt the group reservations department was not as informative as we'd hoped. It took several calls before we would ever receive a call back. Additionally, we opted for open bar for our wedding dinner and our guests were not allowed to order more drinks until they finished what they had. If a guest wanted to take a round of shots with a group, but had a drink in their hand, they were refused that shot- restaurant policy. I thought that was absurd. Other than that, everything turned out fine and we were happy with the dinner.

Hemant Kaushik

It's a very nice restaurant with very good service and ambience. Staff is also very good. We liked the service of Wendy.

Rachel Wille

A group of 10 of us came here for dinner after a show. Our waiter James was amazing and so accommodating. We asked for separate checks and he was more than happy to do so. He was extremely attentive and funny. The food was excellent we ended up passing a lot of the items around to taste and they were great. We were seated on the "patio" and there was a musical performance going on in front of the stores. It was awesome. We did have one little issue with one dish that had mussels and clams. Majority of the clams were not opened which they should be when cooked so my friend brought it to James attention. James returned with a large plate of freshly cooked mussels and clams for her! We had a great dinner to say the least and we loved James!

Steve Gilday

Food is ok and order accuracy is good. But, the staff seems miserable, they won’t smile, and only mumble when they talk. Scowls on all their faces. When asked about the menu, the waiter just shrugged his shoulders and mumbled something unintelligible.

Eleodor Sotropa

Superb food and service. The happy hour is an incredible bargain for Vegas, with $7 cocktails and calamari. A must do if you stay at the Venetian, or at a conference in the Sands.

D. M.

Tasty, cozy, but not attentive and slow staff.

Reid Griffin

Fine food. Beautiful place. $$$$

Gina L

So nice and pretty !!

Daniel Jakobs

Beware, rip off with the happy hour. Happy hour rates are only valid at the bar. otherwise they double the price..

Jeffrey Atkinson

Seated immediately. Great location. Great ambiance. Waiter was great. Bread baked on premise. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Daniel Vernon

It just was very, very bad. My Ragu dish was probably the worst Italian meal I’ve had. The ground beef actually tasted bad, like it was canned meat. The sauce had no flavor. The pasta was average. My Wife also was not keen on her meal. I’m all up for pricey meals for something nice but this was so far off. $140 for the worst Italian food I’ve experienced. I will say our waiter (though a little over the top) was brilliant. He was very enthusiastic and seemed to genuinely enjoy serving.

Antony Ta

They have great soft cheeses.

Iris Mueck

We hit this place on our tour March 2017. Very friendly staff. Even, when we go by price. They are professionals. Predicting they are Italians. Maybe in second generation. Food and wine perfect. Like in Italy. Worth to go there.

Jasmine Locke

Amazing food, huge portions, great atmosphere

Delores Prine

This dude was real!! Awesome place!

Andrew Tomlinson

Great Italian restaurant in the Venetian /Palazzo. Some of the most attentive and efficient service and on par with the other restaurants in these hotels. Pastas were well made and authentic tasting. Good wine selection and lots of seating. No outdoor seating but you can choose inside the restaurant or the "patio" which is inside the St Marks square area. Would go again

Tim Allen

Now this how Italian food should be prepared....great food

BR3NT

Amazing restaurant, amazing food, amazing staff, amazing view!

natalie theresa

Of all the restaurants in Vegas to choose from this was the one we chose for our wedding dinner. The food wasn't bad, not the best. But the service was poor. I think I saw our server twice the whole night, never asked about drinks or if we needed anything. Then they told us that we had to pay for the whole dinner on one check and it couldn't be split amongst parties. So everyone was leaving to go to the ATM all the way to the other end of the casino to pull out cash. Then once the bill did come they ended up splitting it and gave another separate bill for a 20% gratuity on top of the tips everyone had paid separately on their bills? Once we ate they were grabbing our plates and clearing the table before we were even finished with our dinner. Felt like we weren't wanted there and they couldn't wait to get The table cleared. Like I said the food was decent but the overall experience was really disappointing especially for my wedding. I've had far better service at an Olive Garden.

Stephanie Taylor

My husband and I visited this restaurant on Friday, 8/3. The food was great, our server was good. Unfortunately, I witnessed another server be rude and dismissive to another wait staff. I was very appalled by the interaction. It ruined the night for me. No one deserves to be treated that way. I spoke with the manager, hopefully it was handled.

Barbaro Moya

A nice place!

John Teller

Very nice

Chase Matherly

The food was great but the service was entirely too slow. Took so long to even place our order after being seated, let alone getting the food served. The busser did more for us than the actual waiter and deserved a higher tip for himself.

Daisey Lewis

The service was fantastic, but the food was sub-par. I got the Linguini Alla Buranella and my husband had the veal shank with risotto. We BOTH had horrible food poisoning and were sick as soon as we made it back to our hotel. Luckily, his wasn't as bad and Pepto worked right away but I had to spent the rest of our last night in Vegas in the bathroom. We spent $130 on a meal that made me the sickest I've ever been before. Called and spoke to the manager who apologized half halfheartedly and said there is nothing they can do, but he'll be sure to talk to the chef from last night. So disappointing.

Ali Kadkhoda

Rude waitress, don’t care about the customers, service took so long, 40 minutes waiting for the appetizer, 40 minutes waiting for the dessert....

Richard M

Had dinner on March 22, 2016. I had the Black Risotto and my wife had the Fried Calamari and Warm Octopus. We shared and everything was very good. Margaritas were also very good along with the service. YES, prices are a bit high but I did not mind with everything being so good. 5 stars for food and service, 3 stars for prices.... so gave it a 4 star overall.

AGMX

Excellent food , service and location.. we have tried several main courses and all have been very good. Sit on the Squarento enjoy the visit fully

Anthony Marks

Exceptional food and wine. The wait staff was attentive and friendly; we never had to ask for refills. Highly recommend this restaurant, it was one of the nicest dinners my boyfriend and I have ever had.

Gary Hulst

Had a group dinner (8 of us) and had a wonderful experience sitting outside with live music in the background. We had an attentive waiter who was able to provide excellent recommendations (food, wine and dessert). The food and wine was excellent. The whole evening was an awesome experience and would recommend it!

Bonnie Macias

Just don't eat here. The bread is rock hard. I asked and was told its not fresh...its sitting out and hardens during the day. Tasted like reheat. Food takes forever and is very cold. Prices are outrageous for what you get. Can't say enough about how bad it is. 0 stars if it was an option.

Ryan Gaddy

The service was good and timely getting the food out despite being packed. For a group of five the pizza appetizer was more than enough. The Moscato was so good I had to get two. I had a seafood entree that had scallop, shrimp, mussels and more. Definitely worth it. I will be back.

Ken KAREGEANNES

A decent fall back from Otto Enoteca e Pizzeria which is now closed. Very expensive. Great staff.

Gevorg Gevorgyan

Outstanding. The food, service. And the desert. Try cannolis - the best!!

Ewan Speirs

Food overall as good, apps were the standout dishes the heirloom tomato / motz salad was awesome. cost of sides was ridiculous however, $11 for a plate of 10 asparagus spears.... come on. Staff were mostly attentive, place was packed so they were slammed. It was good, but not so good i would want to go back.

Jon Villella

Cool place. Food and service could have been better.

Paquita Poindexter

Food was very good. Service was slow. Eating in their patio area allowed for great people watching. The gnocchi was pillow soft and larger than I typically have had before. It was a very filling meal.

Jennifer Keene

Food was great.

Rachel Cousins

The location was beautiful. Very helpful staff. The food was incredible. Amazing pasta

Ross Jones

Fine Italian dining with a great location & atmosphere. Food was very good and service was fine.

P Murray

I felt ripped off; had dinner here during CES week..cocktail was really high priced and tasted like a typical $12 cocktail. But the food....really expensive and about as tasty as Olive Garden. If the server wasn't super nice and attentive, I would've given just 1 star.

Trista Insley

I only gave this restaurant 3 stars because if it wasn't for the location and how pretty it was to eat there I would of given it only a 1-2 stars. I'm not picky when it comes to food but the food here was very plain and not very good especially for the price you pay. It also made my stomach upset later that day. The calzone we got was alright but the gnocchi tasted like ravioli from a can. Our waiter didn't check on us but to get our drink and food order. A beer was $8 which we knew it would be pricey but that's a little bit over the top when you can go about anywhere in Vegas and buy alcohol at a much cheaper price. We only ate here because our football team was playing and we wanted a place to watch it while we got lunch. The Venetian itself is gorgeous but I wouldn't eat here again.

Evangelon

This place is a joke. I wish I could share pictures. The seventytwo year old waiter acted as though he could barely understand English which was obvious after my order came out. I ordered the Vermicelli Al Pomodoro wich is explained on the menu as follows : Angel hair pasta with fresh chopped tomatoes, marinara sauce, fresh basil, garlic & extra virgin olive oil. My simple request; no marinara sauce. Which nearly gave the pompous waiter a stroke. He spouted a bunch of nonsense about being against restaurant policy and how it would be my fault if I didn't like the food, followed by another sentence I couldn't understand through his heavily accented and probably fake Italian accent. When he brought over the food and exclaimed bon appetit he placed a bowl of plain corkscrew pasta in front of me. That's right, no tomatoes, no basil, no garlic or extra virgin olive oil. Didn't even bring the correct type pasta. The only thing the imbecile got right, "No marinara sauce." After further thought - looking at my table mates order, remembering the restaurants policy of not wanting to customize orders, and the speed at which we got our orders, the reason my order was such a difficult task for them became apparent: nothing there is fresh. Everything besides the pasta is either canned or in a jar. They couldn't simply remove the marinara sauce without removing the aforementioned fresh vegetables. Why they couldn't even distinguish angel hair from corkscrew is beyond me. Perhaps the entire order was a frozen prepackaged meal, unlikely as it came to table fairly quickly. All said and done, it cost me 23.00 for a .50 bowl of undercooked corkscrew pasta. I'd have given them zero stars if possible. Avoid this place like the plague. Hey Mario, time to retire or maybe get a job greeting people at Walmart where it'll be easier for you to excel.

Mohini Hari

The Moscato is bomb!! Had it yesterday and came back for it again. Also tried the pizza- I think it was fabulous! Not sure how the bad reviews came about- perhaps they have a consistency issue regarding the quality of food and servers. Well, glad I got lucky! Really enjoyed the food and wine. Will come back again for sure..

Arlene Herrera

Food is amazing, serving was slow. No one came by for over 20 minutes to the table

Harini Swaminathan

You can keep sitting there at the table waiting for a server! Bad experience! Requested the host to send someone and no one turned up! Had to walk out, don’t know why I am giving even this one star!

Lucy Edelstein

Our waiter was very attentive however we were seated "outside" and the acoustics are terrible, it was very loud and I couldn't hear my dinner guests easily. The appetiser of a mixed board for sharing was fairly good however my main of cannelloni was fairly bland and overly salted.

Angela Avoletta

My gnocchi was incredible

Maria Mirabella

Amazing place in San Marco square at the Venetian hotel. The food is very very good, the pizza tastes as a real Italian one and the seafood is just delicious! Very recommended place, and if you come from 4 to 6 pm you'll have happy hour prices that is much cheaper!

Gal Bahar

Bad food, bad service, expensive

Jim Cooper

Excellent taste, typical upscale small portions.

Kelsey Rogers

Service was extremely slow. Waited an hour for food and twenty minutes for the waitress to run our credit cards. The food was mediocre. The chicken was very dry and the veal tasted like freezer burn. The gnocchi was very good. With all of the wonderful restaurant options in Vegas, I would stay far away from this place.

Christina Marsh

Good pizza, had one of my favorites wines. Good service. View of performance. And canal

Gossett McRae

1. Service very slow(&restaurant wasn't very full) 2. Ordered $12 wine they tried to serve us $45. Wine 3.no one ever came by & asked how the food was ( it was only fair) 4. No water fill up etc...nobody cares 5. Staff dropping utensils, etc at serving station near by SAD EXPERIENCE

Clay Gibbs

Lasagna was on point! Oysters were a bit overpriced by Vegas standards. Great place for a date night

Mahmoud Z

I have been here before and the food I order is always up to the expectations Cannelloni dish is recommended and portion is good. As for pizzas you will never go wrong with any of their selections on the menu. I would have given 5 stars but the service was not good the last time. The waiter that seated me was very careless and rude. He came multiple times to our table and he was looking somewhere else without giving proper attention

Ramon Almeida

I really enjoyed the food and service here. The bread given in the beginning was great. I ordered a burrata as an appetizer which was amazing. I then shared a tagliatelle (chicken and pasta with a cream sauce) and a cristina pizza (prosciutto and arugula). Both dishes were delightful. I would definitely recommend this place. The prices are on the higher side so be prepared for that.

Kelly Valois Poehlman

This is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been too. My husband and I love it. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. We loved it so much we had our wedding reception there.

Bee Dotcee

I have been here on more than one occasion but I am just not getting around to writing a review of my experience. Lets go: Ambiance - You are in St Marks Square at The Venetian. At 7pm the lights get turned into night mode and it is suddenly very scary, wait, very romantic in there. It takes on a whole new look and feel and its a great one. Service - Booked reservation for 6, needed to push to 6:30, and was assisted both promptly and friendly. Arrived at the restaurant and was seated immediately. Our server came over and greeted us and began the dinner service. I wish I could remember her name because she was amazing. When I ordered the quid ink risotto, she advised that it was her favorite and I just love when people add personal touches. Food - It's Canaletto and its amazing. I tried to hard not to devour my food, but I was uncontrollable. Every time I finished one bite, I wanted to eat it again. This was an epic battle, and I lost... and I won... :) Overall - I rate it 5 stars because it is amazing. Definitely hit it up when you are in Las Vegas. You will enjoy it.

Kerick Morrison

Delicious authentic Italian food in a gorgeous setting

Priscilla Villalpando

Food was gross. Marinara sauce was watery as hell and the meatballs had a TERRIBLE taste. Place looks nice but that's about it. Overrated AF

Navin Michael

Just a resto, food was so-so

Pavlin Panayotov

It's been a very splendid experience overall at Canaletto Ristorante for me and my relatives. Location: San Marco square at the Venetian with live music; it's awesome. Staff: second to none; they've accommodated a party of five without a reservation on Saturday evening. Food: it's very delicious, Italian style, pesce, pasta, you name it. Drinks: there is a great variety of flavorful wine. The Final Bill: not bad, at all. Highly recommend Canaletto Ristorante at the Venetian, Las Vegas. Saluti!

Max Mustermann

Mediocre Italian restaurant at Venetian Marcus square area. Pasta overcooked, seabass in Salt nice, expresso machine defect.

MORGAN BELLO

100% recommended

Kanav Malhotra

Dish and service amazing, the dish was chicken cannelloni

Andre Hovsepian

Won't recommend this place to anyone!

Zachary Jones

I went to Lavo and to Canaletto with my wife and kids. I found the Lavo to have more interesting food and a more lively atmosphere. This place has good location at St. Marks square but I think was just a little bit lacking in decorum and staff energy and engagement vs Lavo. The food was good but I feel there was a bit too much sauce used. If I feel Lavo is closer to 5 stars, I will give this 4 stars at it needs a bit more from the staff to make it shine.

Prakash sachwani

Nice place to spend evening, fun and enjoyable.

Kay Khoy

Food is okay our service was great tho our waiter definitely deserves a 5 star , pasta was a bit on the hard side, meatballs were not sold at all. The sides dishes were too salty.

Wendy S

Nice restaurant. I have ate here before. Not as good as I remember. They wouldn't let us eat off the happy hour menu and the dinner menu such seemed weird. Service was good but they weren't slow. Our food came out really fast which made me think it was pre made. Nice location and view.

Peter Tebault

Tasty food, fast service, beautiful views.

Russ Orgain

The other restaurants around Canaletto were full and we decided to try it since they had a table available. I'm glad we did as our meal and service were terrific. I had the Tagliatelle Alla Castellana Con Pollo and it was absolutely delicious. The wine, the Polpettine Duetto meatball appetizer, and the bread were all excellent. Our waiter, David, was superb and took great care of us. I really don't have any negative comments for our visit there and we will go back next time we are in Vegas!

Monita Cheng

Always enjoy meals here.

Bobby Watson

Great food, service and atmosphere.

Jim Vitale

One of the best italian restaurants in the Canal Shops. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the Margharita Pizza was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful and some even spoke italian Tables were cleaned as soon as there was a dirty dish and the place was spotless. Highly recommend for some great italian food and vibes.

matt sawers-brule

Kurt was the friendliest and most knowledgeable server i have ever had. Thank you.

Raheem Suleman

Everything was just a little... off. The chicken was overcooked and dry, and although the moisture was presumably intended to be added back to the dish via the marinade, it didn’t quite get there. The pasta was also fine, but the tomato sauce lacked flavour and tasted like something you could purchase from the grocery store. Service was reasonable and the location is good. Nevertheless, considering the average-quality food is coupled with above-average prices, I’d try another restaurant in the area.

Dance Upon A Star

Excellent food, drinks (especially the lemon drop martini) and service! Love the desserts! It's my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas!

Valentina Giorgio

Good...not great

Jay Jopam

Meh. Ok. Seating: A, quick and efficient Service: B, acceptable, maybe better. Food: C, unexceptional ... Some dishes solid, others weak, but not horrible. Wine list: C Value: Dubious. While overall the restaurant is fine, the prices would indicate higher quality. I would not return. You could do much better within a short walk.

Roscoe Light

I’m not sure if this place changed ownership or if the owners just decided to cut back for no apparent reason other than greed but it has gone downhill fast. I used to enjoy coming here for years but the meal I had recently was so substandard I can’t believe they’re allowed to operate in that space in the Venetian. The bread was not fresh, hard as a rock, I joked to my counterpart I could throw it through the TV screen. One of the meals was average at best, the other was substandard, and that’s not because they were expensive. They were less than the quality of Babbos which is roughly 1/3 the price. Then the tiramisu that came with my meal was obviously a frozen dessert that the “chef” unpackaged and placed in front of me. Totally disgusting. Would not recommend anymore at all and I hope they fix this mess

Michael Wilday

The Canaletto Ristorante was an fun dining experience. I met a couple friends from out of town for dinner there and enjoyed catching up on the patio of the restaurant with the ambiance of the Venetian’s Canal Shops all around. The restaurant was very full, the ambiance of the Canal Shoppes, the Venetian musicians, and the Italian architecture made for an incredible dining experience. I recommend sitting inside the restaurant if you’re easily distracted or desire a more intimate setting because the crowds at the Venetian Canal Shoppes and the hired musicians for the Canal Shoppes create a lot of noise. The food was phenomenal, yet very pricey. As is everything else in Vegas.
