We went with the intention of dessert but it was pretty packed and we sat at the bar. We mostly just chatted and it was nice to people watch. They play excellent music and the decor is sultry. We didn’t eat as we did not have reservations but we will return to check out the cuisine!

We dine out A LOT in Chicago and this place blew us away! Everything was exceptional and the service and atmosphere were outstanding. It's an upbeat place, that's perfect for dinner in Vegas. I would recommend everything we ate, especially the lamb chops! When we come back to Vegas we will for sure be eating here again!

Made reservations for a wedding party months in advance and they couldn't fork up a booth for us! Host and hostess were so ooo snobby and gave my long haired groom a hard time when he came back from the bathroom like they didn't want to let him in even though we already had a table! Food was good....service was horrible! Will never go back again.

Interesting ambiance (pawn shop) and good food. The dark lighting and loud music made it difficult to have a sustained dinner conversation, but it was still fun. Enjoyed my flatbread and house salad. And the Espresso ice cream in the Tiramisu Sundae was fantastic.

Absolutely nothing like you might expect. Very dark and Mediterranean Art Deco feeling with lots of mirrors and loud Rap style music. First you go into an upscale pawn store then through a nondescript door to a highly lighted hostess desk then into a very dark dining area. Quite formal but very personable with excellent service. The food is very small portions (small plates) with excellent taste and flavor combinations! We loved it for our birthday celebration....be sure to bring a credit card with high limits and make reservations. Very unexpected and wonderful!

While the service was fast and quite attentive, we found the food to be far less than we expected. The waiter highly recommended the Mac and cheese dumplings appetizer but my wife didn't care for it at all and I found them to be chewy. The Spaghettini that I had was good, but my wife ordered the Salmon and it came out cold and was supposed to be a hot dish. The chef prepared a new plate for her of the same entree in under four minutes that was a little hotter than the first attempt. I suspect that that dish is prepped in advance and lightly heated for quick delivery and efficiency. That may increase the speed in which your food is delivered, but the experience for her was quite disappointing. Our dessert was better, especially the freshly prepared donuts with dipping sauces. My wife does not wish to return.

Beauty & Essex was chosen as the restaurant for a birthday celebration of a close friend's wife. It was perfect for this "over the top" celebration. Glitz was required, and glitz we got; from the raw seafood tower to the campy presentations of almost all the dishes. Some of these tasted good, some of them tasted strange. I didn't expect Michelin star dining with culinary innovation from Beauty & Essex. Fine dining left Las Vegas years ago. Today, Las Vegas is all about ersatz fantasy and shallow trinkets. Polyester is fine if you think it's cotton. The only thing real is the exorbitant prices. I wasn't paying and thus, "Beauty & Essex was marvelous darling." Air kisses all around.

Beauty and Essex is my go to place for dinner when in Las Vegas. This was our second visit here. The atmosphere, food and staff are phenomenal. The avocado jewels on toast, grilled cheese smoked bacon & tomato soup dumplings are to die for. The roasted chicken pozole for dinner was very good. And to top it all the best carrot cake with vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had. yummy!!! We have not visited the NY location yet but will soon.

The wife & I love sharing tapas! Beauty & Essex is the place to go if looking for small plates & a great atmosphere. There's a pawn shop you walk through to get to the restaurant. Once you go through, the restaurant is in the back & it's busy! I have to compliment the bussers...our Waters were never below 1/2 full & they noticed if any utensil was missing/crooked or needed to he replaced. They had an awareness of what was going on that we really appreciated!

Great Food, Small Sharable plates about 2 plates per person is more than enough. Can get extremely loud depending on how full the place gets (had to leave because of the noise level - first time in my life I had to do that).

A small round table for a party of 10? We all simply could not sit at the table in a normal, comfortable fashion. Most uncomfortable dining experience ever. Absolutely unacceptable. After asking staff to change our group to a larger table, we were told a small round table is the only option for a party of 10. Meanwhile, a party of 9 was seated behind us with a much larger, oval table. Again, completely unacceptable.

Absolutely delicious and the service was spot on. This place isn't cheap, so expect a full meal and drinks to be around $100 per person with tip. Located on the 3rd floor of the Cosmo - easy to find.

If you feel like spending money on food, this is by far my favorite place that I have tried in Vegas so far! Small plate but big taste! Very unique selection of food. Gorgeous decor. Everything is brought out in a timely manner, staff is always very polite. Try the tomato soup and grilled cheese dumplings....to die for!

I wish I could review the food, but we were never even seated. We made a 9p reservation for our wedding anniversary. At 9.20p, they were still seating 8.30 reservations, who hadn't bothered to show on time. We decided to leave when three young men in swim trunks and tank tops were seated ahead of us, despite being walkins. The hostess' explanation was that those men had "put their name in" at 8.45p. Yeah, well, I "put my name in" a week ago. The least they could have done was offer us a cocktail. We had additional plans that evening and couldn't wait until 10p to be seated for a 9p reservation, particularly when the staff was so rude. I can't imagine we'll be back.

Nice place. Food was good. The salmon ceviche was awesome as well as meatballs. They recommend tomato soup with dumplings it I didn't find it very special. The tuna tacos were tasty. It was a little noisy but the service was great.

12 oz filet was insanely good, and you have to save room for some carrot cake which was unreal. Pair it up with the mezcal drink and you can't go wrong. Service was super quick and I'll be back

Quite expensive, which is fine when expectations are met. In this case the experience is not balanced with the flavors and presentation of the food. Fine dining comes in small portions, but there is small and small... Fantastic atmosphere I must say. Very good cocktails!

This is a must if you enjoy great food and cocktails. This has become a staple for us for each of our Vegas trips. We love the small bite concept as we can try many different dishes each time. Our first time here, the manager, Jacobo, personally introduced himself to us and took the time to visit with us about our experience. We have since booked our reservations directly through him, talk about personalized service! You won’t be disappointed here!

I just got married/eloped and made a reservation here for a dinner with my new husband. We love places with small plates and made for sharing so it looked like a good choice. I wish I remembered our waiter’s name; he was awesome. We let him choose our entire menu around the bottle of champagne we ordered. Definitely a lot of food, especially when they gave us the dessert with a sample of everything, but nothing disappointed. It was a great meal and evening to end our wedding day.

Stopped in last minute for dinner. Was not disappointed. We loved the secret entry, but could still look at the menu. Front hostess and wait staff could not have been friendlier. We loved the bone marrow and the tamato soup Mac n cheese bites. The scallops were good, but a bit of a let down. I highly recommend this restaurant, as it feels intimate and grand at the same time.

Was debating whether 4 or 5 stars. Atmosphere was chique and fun, but really loud. Service was great, but not exceptional. Wine by the glass was "typical", but could have been served a better temperature. THE FOOD MADE IT A 5! Two of us shared five dishes and a dessert - each was fantastic - each a different style or genre - all executed perfectly. We did not try any of the cuts of meat - we usually save that for restaurants specialized on that. We loved it and would definitely go back to try new dishes and some of the ones we had last night (they were that good)

Gluten free done well, really really well. I went there is a group of 6 and we basically told them to chose the most popular dishes and keep them coming. Everything from bone marrow to oysters ensued and all were eaten happily. I let our server know that I had to be gluten free and she expertly told me what I could and could not have and brought my own substitutions where needed. For instance, to replace bread for spreading the bone marrow on, they made be herbs & rice fried in the shape of bread fingers and brought those out hot and fresh. Impressive. I've never had anyone make those as a substitute for bread before and they were perfect. Bar set & nicely done. Be fair warned, this place is loud. It's front room is a pawn shop and then you enter into a dark loud speak-easy... and yes, it's actually perfect. Not quiet by a long shot, but loud and perfect and the food won't let you down.

Trendy place with some really good drinks and food. The toast points are an excellent starter and then the doughnuts are an even better finisher. It is a little expensive for the portion size but at the same time, it's Vegas so all the good restaurants are. The ambience here is also really cool (almost a little steam punk vibe with the old lockets hanging everywhere) but it can get a little loud with larger groups.

I'm on the fence about this place, the Ambiance is fantastic but the food is never consistent! During our last visit some of the items were so over seasoned they were impossible to eat... I'm all for flavorful food but Chef please check before you serve people items that are way too salty! Great for a drink and light appetizers I would not recommend for a full dinner.

The experience was interesting. First they take us back to where our table was supposed to be, to only have us move back to by kitchen to wait around. The food was fine, avoid the octopus taco, the mixtures of flavors is not good. Overall the service was great, but not because of the waitress. She was terrible, our busser, Blee was fantastic. Charismatic, and a real pleasure, I only wish I could have given our tip to him.

To be honest, I was rather disappointed. We dropped $115 on 5 small plates and left hungry. The atmosphere/decor was quite chic, and the braised truffle & ricotta meatballs were very good, but overall the value just was not there (Example: $18 for 3 of the smallest tacos I've ever seen - they were literally 2 inches long each).

Beauty & Essex = Make a reservation right now! Amazing. I love tapas and I was thoroughly impressed. The portions are larger than typical tapas sizes. There is an incredible selection. I think tapas restaurants sometimes struggle in the USA but this one has figured out the perfect formula of portion size and a wide variety of selection for everyone. The server will likely suggest their signature dish, grilled cheese tomato soup dumplings (get them!) but my favorite was the Mexican Raviolis! The cocktail list is inventive. Save room for dessert! One of my all-time favs!

Very intimate Dinner with my husband that did not disappoint. We went here before the Backstreet Boys Concert for my birthday on April 17, 2019 and the server recommended a bunch of different dishes for us to try which we did. They were so amazing the Bao Bun sliders and the Tomato soup dumplings were delicious! They even brought out a cute desert for my birthday. The staff is very well organized and very welcoming! The ambiance is very romantic and laid back at the same time.

Enjoyed a palate pleasing and productive business dinner at Beauty & Essex. The atmosphere here is the busy Las Vegas strip restaurant but they do a good job with lighting and table settings to.make it personal and quaint. Entering the establishment is an experience. The food is served tapas style and the staff assist with making portions according to your party. Everything was prepared and serviced with excellence.. The Tia shrimp is worth getting multiple times and make sure you finish offer with doughnut desert.

Concept of being a speakeasy thru the pawnshop is kind of cool, but the fun stops there. The dining area is so dark we all had to use our phone lights to order anything. Other tables were doing the same. They could at least offer pen lights with the menu. The darkness also prevented us from being able to see our food at all, so I have no idea what the presentation looked like. The dishes are meant to be shared, appetizer style. Flavors were okay, but wish I knew what I was eating as I couldn't see it. Interesting experience but wouldn't recommend this place, especially at the prices on the menu. If I pay $50 for a steak I want a whole meal...that I can see.

Her recommendations were spot on and her service was above and beyond. The manager Manuella checked on us regularly and between the two of them I imagine our group will become regulars. Good service and great food. Very cool you walk through a pawnshop to a secrete door that leads you to the resultant. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. Dim lights and trendy decor really make you go woooww cooool. The service makes you feel like you are someone special or famous. If you want to feel famous go to this place and look cute. That never hurts. Meatballs were bomb. And so was the shrimp if your into that kinda jazz.

Don't go unless you want to feel like you're clubbing while eating. The music is so loud that you literally cant see or taste your food. The cocktails were really the-the ODB bramble had a rotten BlackBerry and tasted like fungus. The shishito peppers were not blistered but somewhat boiled in oil. The caesar toast was just overdressed salad on bread. The cavatelli was overcooked, and the BBQ fries were way too seasoned. It seems that everything is much too bold, and they try to hide it by making the lights as dim as possible until you cannot see the food, and the music so loud you cannot talk to your dining party without telling. I feel sorry for this spot because when they opened it was good, and I think it may be replaced in a few years at this rate.

So there isn't a restaurant on the strip that is a good value, but having eaten at most of the upper end restaurants this one stands out. Great food, great variety, great service, accommodating when delayed even on a busy Friday night with a party of 12. Unique and great experience, eaten there 3 times now, and will go again. My second favorite restaurant in Vegas, only Nora's out does it in my book.

Beautiful restaurant. Did not disappoint. Not comparable to the NYC location. No champagne bar in the ladies room like the one in LES. Tapas. Menu changes monthly. Good selection of wines and cocktails. Ian was an excellent server. He gave us free drink vouchers for our next place. There were 30 women here for a birthday and we kept him on his toes!

All the food is great here and perfect for sharing. If you are with a group of about 4 or more people definitely go with the chef's tasting menu so you can get a little bit of everything. Don't miss the grilled cheese wontons in tomato soup.

Great spot (especially when you enter thru a guitar shop), beautiful restaurant inside, great service... and food was GOOD (yet not mind blowing great). I had expectations set extremely high, and that's why it got 4 stars instead of 5. I was expecting a true foodie experience, and our entire table agreed, we never received the high bar we set. Again, food was still well prepared, plated and served properly... but with so many options in that town, I can't say I'd go back. We ordered nothing but shareables, and maybe that was the problem? Nobody ordered an entree. But, I have done this in multiple restaurants in the past, and been blown away. We even took cues from the waitstaff (whom again, were excellent). I even said "The food looks more appealing that it actually tasted"

Food was delicious and the service was great. Only negative was the lighting....nice, relaxing atmosphere, but my friend & I needed our phones' flashlights to read the menu. I had the double-cut pork chop, which was amazing, but tried my friend's lamb chop & wished I had made that choice...it was off-the-charts great!

Tomahawk Ribeye was awesome! Perfect ambiance for a date night. I was able to have a conversation with my date as opposed to STK it was too loud there. Service was very attentive especially the bar staff.

I came for a business dinner and was extremely impressed. The decor inside was tasteful and had a retro vibe. The restaurant was also not too noisy inside, which was great for having conversations. The food was creative and very well done. Much of the menu was ideal for sharing. I also recommend saving room for dessert.

The Korean sliders were by far the best thing I tried. The tomato soup dumplings things were pretty good as well. The chicken meatballs were a bust. The empanadas were kinda dry but tasty. The service was great. I wish the music wasn't so club like but I guess it's Vegas right?

The bone marrow was very good. The toasts were great but preferred the avocado toast. Ribeye tomahawk was good not the best I have had. Desert was not good. But maybe just didnt have the correct one. Service was great. The music was not that loud compared to what other people say. Rose rabbit lie is way louder. We will go back again.

Oh goodness - those little tomato soup with a mini grilled cheese in a spoon - lovvvvveeedddd. The brocollini - ok. Service was amazing - so upbeat, happy and attentive. Went for my Birthday this year in the Cosmo - they brought me so cake pops for my desert complimentary - I would definitely go back!

My husband and I stopped in here on a whim. The storefront can be a little confusing...it does not look like a restaurant but once inside it is great. I really love the idea of going through a secret door to get to your destination. We sat at the bar and had appetizers and dessert. The food was great. The staff was friendly. We loved the signature cocktails. The ambiance would be perfect for a date or a girls night.

We had a large group so they brought the food family style. This is great because you get to taste just about everything they have on the menu. Tacos were great. Seafood wonderful, and the beef and steak was out of sight. Best dinner I have had on a long while. Highly recommended.

I love the way you come into the restaurant, it’s door to the left of the shop that sells jewelry, watches & trinkets. The atmosphere is amazing, dim lighting and very intimate. I can honestly say that EVERYTHING was amazing! No disappointment whatsoever. Our waiter was amazing & very knowledgeable. You have to try this place out, highly recommend!!

I can’t remember the last time is was this COMPLETELY sure of my 5 star review. To start, I will say that I am always looking for the weak points in a restaurant like this. There is a lot of ways a place like this can distract you, the lighting, the decoration, the entrance, etc. However, I couldn’t find it. Every aspect of Beauty & Essex is flawless. You enter through a pawn shop where you can actually purchase all the items. They have real diamond jewelry, guitars, and cool (very expensive) trinkets. When you finally find the door that matches the color of the wall it’s on, as if to hide it “speak easy” style, you find the restaurant itself. The restaurant is a completed different style from the pawn shop. It’s is beautify inside. The service is AMAZING. The front of house staff is very professional and offers really good help with the menu. The back house staff is on point with the preparation of each dish. And finally, as well as most importantly, the food is fantastic. I tried to find something they made a mistake on and it was incredible. Well done Beauty & Essex.
