Good steak. Very expensive. Only gave 5 small sauteed vegetable bites and 2 tiny baby potatoes for sides. Another guy with onion rings had a heaping plate because onions are cheaper they said. They refused to bring out more vegetables. So sauteed vegetables are not cheap? They said Well I don't make the portions.

Great good, very well run!!

The strip steak was very good would highly recommend it

I am really unsure why this place is getting any bad reviews. I have been all around the states as well as abroad. I have lived everywhere from Utah to Flordia to Pennsylvania. I am an avid cook, craft beer and wine conesuear, as well as having a collection of fine tobaccos. Basicly if you can taste it I am interested in it. This place has been my goto place without having to drive to Omaha. I have had fish, steak, chicken, salads, and vegetables at this restaurant, nothing has been sub par. Actually nothing has been short of amazing. Give this place a chance, it is off the beaten path but worth your time. I would also like to mention that the wait staff are very friendly knowledgeable and genuinely pleasing to talk too. I have no connection to this place other than being a fond customer. My only gripe would be that their draught ales and stouts are stored at lager temperature, it is understandable in our light beer market. The Woodcliff is one of (if not the only) classy places to eat in Fremont.

Great experience here, sat outside with a party of 10 for a fourth of July dinner. Service was good and the view of the water was pretty good. The restaurant is located in a cove off of the platte river, south of Fremont or about 30 minutes away from Omaha which we came from. Food was good not excellent but the atmosphere, made up for it! Would defiantly come here again sometime, a casual but nice place!

We enjoyed dinner on the deck. It is a great place to give little children a bit of wiggle room while waiting for their meal. They love feeding the fish! The onion rings are an amazing appetizer, but ask for the sauce that goes with the mushroom appetizer... primo! Steaks were fabulous and done to order. I enjoyed the salmon, with a quinoa and asparagus side. Delightful!

Food was great, as was service. Had the ribeye and was cooked exactly as ordered. Others raved about the walleye sandwich and catfish sandwich. Not a big selection for good restaurants in Fremont, so this is a locally owned deal and tasty... Worth a visit.

Went on hamburger night which was a Thursday and have never had a bad meal but on Thursday night I asked for a medium hamburger pink, inside and it was charbroilex! Our waitress never asked me how I liked it so I never sent it back. Sadly I should have complained about it it was lousy.

Four of us, we ordered different meals and shared an appetizer....the portabella mushroom fries. It was agreed that everything was incredible.....hard to explain but the manner in which each dish was prepared allowed the core ingredient to shine, but even brighter with the sauces, breading, spices and toppings added. Those extra things didn't cover anything up but rather enhanced and excited. Sound dumb? Cannot explain any other way. Big Bad Wolf & Portabella Fries, must try for starters!

Audrey Kunkel

Mushroom Fries! Awesome note Blue Cheese dressing is only the crumbles, no liquid dressing

The food was great. The noise level was high but we got about ok. Portions were small. Prices were pretty high. I would still go back.

The woody was awesome and the shrimp was amazing!

It says a lot when I finish every plate sat in front of me. We went for their Thursday Burger Special - YUM, I'm still thinking about it today. $10 for an excellent burger and a craft beer paired with. Started with the onion rings, the whole table raved about how delicious they were - and finished with Damien's Chocolate Cookie Creation. Our evening was perfect, thank you! Go sit out on the patio, enjoy a bottle of wine and the conversation with your friends. Voted Fremont's Best Fine Dining Restaurant for a reason! You won't find a gem like this often.

Was assaulted by 2 ex-staff members, had a live check stolen from an ex-staff member all who attend Midland University from out if state on my last visit, well after 1:40 a.m. Usually good food with a great view, unfortunate they hire thugs and allow them to hang out and use the establishment for I'll intent.

This place is a hidden gem and nice change of scenery from Omaha cuisine. Their specials are always incredible! I'm a fish lover and am always excited to see what they have on the menu.

We used to really enjoy dining at this restaurant but were sure ly disappointed this evening. Met to celebrate a B-day but unfortunately the quality of the meals for all six of us left much to be desired, from very tough sinewy steaks ( the special for the evening) to stuffed chicken breast that had a revolting presentation and hardly better on the palette. Don't know if there has been a change in management or what the problems were tonight but certainly will be a long time before we are able to cross their threshhold again. On the positive side the salads were enjoyed.

We were in the restaurant for almost 3 hrs. It took so long to get our drinks, food & anything else we asked for, it became the joke of the night; we even involved a few other customers. There were 12 other people in the restaurant, so hardly at full capacity! We had to go to the bar & request drinks after sitting for 15 minutes; finally when we got a waitress, she was very unfriendly & curt; we had to request EVERYTHING. It was very expensive; the little bit of wine served in the over-large wine goblets was ridiculous for $7.00. 2 of us had the pasta seafood & the sauce was like water. This was our first experience & will be our last; we will pass on how unfriendly the staff was & how expensive it was.

This is nice gem. It is not easy to get to, but is well worth it. The walleye sandwich and pork chops were a big hit. There is a connection in ownership to M's Pub in Omaha. We will be back.

Mike Anderson

Service was slow. Food better than expected.

John Goldsberry

Menu selections not found any where else. Excellent sauces and reductions. Excellent why drive to Omaha?

Jeff Eveland

Love this place. Good craft beers, great view of the lake, and food is incredible. The ribeye is the best I've had in Nebraska.

The Wood cliff Restaurant is a gem in the area. Great food. Reasonable drinks. Lodge type homey atmosphere. If you like Duck the Duck pasta is great. Good steaks. Great Dailey fish specials. Home made desserts. Huge covered patio over looking the lake to dine on nice days. Bring the kids to feed the fish and ducks. It's worth the short drive.

Our family absolutely loved this restaurant. This place has it all: Drinks, food and ambiance. Perks: scenic view and nice outdoor seating, moscow mules and beer on tap were both delicious and well made, and the food was exceptional. Best pulled pork sandwich, burger, and steak we have had in this area by far! Well worth the drive (depending on where you live) and money spent. Will most definitely be going back!

First and last visit to The Woodcliff Restaurant for my family, the table we sat down at was dirty and that was just the start.... we noticed the salt shaker was dirty on the inside and we opened it and what we found inside was nothing close to clean, still being in an okay mood we started to eat our Beer Cheese Fries appetizer we ordered.... that had a funky smell and taste to it as well. Being open minded and willing to give multiple chances that's what we did. I got 2 kids meals, one Mac N Cheese and one Chicken Strip meal, my wife got a burger and fries and I ordered the Bourbon BBQ steak sandwich.... HUGE mistake, it had something very wrong with the flavor (and I'm not usually the picky person) but I had my wife try it and she immediately spit it out in disgust. At this point as well my daughter and son both refused to touch the macaroni and cheese... which is odd for them. I didn't want to leave hungry so I took just one bite of that and was not prepared for the mess I was about to get myself in to, it was gritty, over seasoned, and had way too much going on for a meal for kids. I then said something to the waitress about my food, and her response was a laugh and her saying she would talk to the chef about it and have it removed from the bill, (I didn't mention the macaroni and cheese at that moment) but we she came back she took empty plates and we then told her she could have the bowl of "homeade" macaroni and cheese because both kids were not going to eat it. Her response again was a laugh and told us she would "talk to the chef" at this point I asked to speak to a manager.... and I got the owner, she was very friendly and sorry for our experience but seemed to get offended when I told her the macaroni was not "homeade"... she took care of more than half of our bill but I still feel like my concerns as a patron fell on deaf ears, I will add that we searched all over for places to eat in Fremont and we went out of our way to go here, and should have turned around when we showed up to see an empty parking lot at 515pm on a Friday evening. Just goes to show you that you can never fully trust online reviews.
