I was lucky to have had a taste for sushi and found Osaka next to my hotel, even though I went with the shrimp and steak hibachi! Definitely hits the spot and meets the standard for your local favorite Japanese steakhouse. Super friendly staff and management!

Nice staff, but stay away from the pad thai: they made it with iceberg lettuce instead of bean sprouts, and it tasted like they forgot the tamarind. Sushi looked passable, so maybe stick with that part of the menu.

Dinner tasted good enough but left me anchored to the bathroom some hours later, giving me plenty of time to write this warning—I mean review. The restaurant was FREEZING on a rainy spring day. Every customer was either wearing their jacket, ran out to get their jacket or had their arms and legs crossed for warmth. Staff, most wearing long sleeves and pants, didn’t notice. They forgot our appetizer. Decent sushi but monetary price wasn’t worth it (and in my case, the health price DEF wasn’t worth it). Travel a mile further to Hunan Fusion for the best sushi in Omaha.

Brilliant food, the pop corn chicken is a taste explosion like no other, their calamari is perfectly cooked, the cali rolls were really good and the chicken fried rice was awesome, the staff were rushed off their feet and looked like they needed another body, will definitely be returning.

Excellent. Absolutely excellent. The service was wonderful even though they were under-staffed. Sushi was fresh and plated beautifully. Seating can be a little close-spaced, I noticed people at tables bumping into the people behind them when getting up or moving. The booth styles against the edges of the walls were comfortable though.

This place is comfortable and conveniently situated. When we got there we were not waited on right away...I mean as we were waited on after several came in behind us and were seated and their orders came. It was clear that if you were not known to then you were not going to receive timely service. When our order was finally taken we waited a half hour for our food while 5 groups of people that arrived after us were served. When our food finally came they left off our fried rice, juice, crab rangoon and our drink refills. The waitress would come around and ask us if we wanted a refill if we did she would go behind the bar and never come back. My husband's kung po chicken was amazing. Everything else was average typical low end sushi food. The actual sushi was awful and my fish was not even Nebraska "fresh fish". So questionable.

Service is very slow. Food is not worth the wait. I ordered Singapore Noodles with no spice rating and they were so hot I could not eat them and had to get food elsewhere. We have tried several times and it does not seem to be improving.

I am a regular customer here and the sushi is always the best. This is the best sushi restaurant in town. They almost always have groupons, which makes the sushi the best and low price. Also great customer service 10/10.

This place is amazing! My friends and I will now be coming here for our birthdays and celebrations, and the sweet potato sushi is absolutely delicious. The prices are a little higher but totally worth it. Portions are smaller than other Asian places, but much higher quality. I'm very glad I found this place!

What an amazing place! The food is amazing, authentic, and really delicious. Very friendly atmosphere. All the servers are very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to go on a date or with friends and family. Definitely recommend it.

Worst service ever. I went with my wife, daughter and 3 grandkids ages 1-7. Got seated at 6:30, ordered frozen drinks right away. Waitress brought water and took food orders, mostly hibachi meals that include soup and salad and one suchi roll. 7:00 soups arrive, no drinks. 7:30 one meal arrives, still no drinks and no salads or roll. 8 PM skme drinks arrive, no salads no roll no meals. Finally meals arrive had to ask for missing drinks, salads and roll. Left at 8:50 aggravated and with a bag full of our food. I even left a tip.

This is my favorite sushi place in the country. I'm not kidding. My husband and I have e eaten sushi in New York, Seattle, Portland, and numerous other cities, and have not found sushi that compares. The fish is fresh and good quality, the staff is great, and we haven't found a roll that we don't like. Nancy is an especially awesome server - our drinks are never empty!

I've dined in at Okinawa twice. Each time, there was a gentleman that saw fit to pet my toddler daughter's head like she was a dog. The first time we dined in, he came to the table (unsure what his job is there as he certainly wasn't our waiter), and remarked how her hair 'looked like a cloud' and began petting it. He continued for a few moments without commenting before we finally said something, he apologized and left. We were obviously taken aback by his bizarre behavior. My daughter wasn't too bothered, so we simply got our things together and left. We just dined there this evening again. We do enjoy the food (we usually order lunch to be delivered), the waitresses are very polite, and my daughter loves the gyoza. We were having a very nice evening when the same gentleman came over towards the end of our meal and without saying anything started petting my daughter's head with a blank expression on his face. He made 'ooo' sounds and laughed. My daughter immediately pulled away and reached for her mother. Upon seeing this he shirked away and apologized. We were getting up to get the hell out of there, when HE COMES BACK AND STARTS DOING IT AGAIN. We left quickly, stopped outside to speak with our daughter about what happened and took her home. I called to complain and to make someone aware of this person's disgustingly intrusive behavior, and was told by an employee that 'no one was there' when I asked to speak with someone about it. This behavior is atrocious (not to mention unsanitary), and inappropriate. I will never eat at or support this restaurant again. Okinawa should be ashamed to have such an employee on their payroll.

This place was amazing. I didnt expect to find sushi this good out in Omaha, the Nebraska roll was by far our favorite followed close behind by the Omaha roll. The Crab rangoon were the best I have ever had.

We ordered their Buddha Delight, Volcano Roll, Kumquat slush with boba, Passion Fruit Jade, and Vivi Fresh Fruit with popping boba. So.... price is very reasonable, the food was actually decent, their bobas a little sweet but very flavorful and would definitely go back to try more. Service was lacking a lot... they were very short staffed on a Friday night, long wait at the door, waited a while to get our food and drink order, then food took well over 30 mins, no refills on drinks... I would maybe go back on a less busy day or night and try more food and bobas as they do have quite a variety. Overall dine in experience is just ok, but worth another shot.

So, as soon as we walked in we could tell that this was a less than par sushi restaurant. It was over all dirty. But, we decided to try it. We didn't want to try raw sushi because it looked that questionable. We are glad with that decision. The ginger had a funky taste, color, and smell. The sushi was really skinny. We ordered 3 specially rolls. Normally, that will easily fill us up between my wife and I. It didn't fill us at all. It was overpriced. Not a whole lot of taste. Restaurant was dirty and didn't look Japanese at all. I think it looked way more Chinese. The bathrooms were dirty and they had a space heater running in both bathrooms. Very strange and a fire hazard as it was under the sink. Definitely, will never go back and I wouldn't recommend it. I bet it will be shutdown or bankrupt within a year.

Service was subpar on a to go order. Ordered online for pickup estimated time of completion 15-25 minutes got there after 25 minutes and waited an hour. Giving three stars because bartender compt a couple beers at the bar while I waited. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry. Food was good try the "awesome roll" :).

Good selection of Asian food. This was the first time I have found tako yaki (octopus balls) outside of Japan. These were very good and it was exciting to have a familiar flavor. The salad and miso soup were great. My sashimi was good for a midwestern restaurant. Good selection of different types of fish but most had been frozen. (Such is life in the midwest.) The staff is friendly and attentive. I am interested in returning and trying some of the other menu items. I saw they have Taiwanese sausage and I spotted some Korean soju in the bar. I highly recommend their milk and tea shaken drinks. They were fantastic. Upon my second visit I ordered the sashimi and unfortunately it had the same flavor problems followed by symptoms of food poisoning later that night and next day. I won't be returning.

For the pricing, the atmosphere needs to be updated. Sometimes when you are out to eat, your want to take your time, this would be the place for that. If you are expecting a quick meal, this is not the place. The food, however, is excellent in my opinion.

This place has amazing food. They're sushi is fresh and flavorful and they offer so many delicious varieties. All of their traditional dishes are great as well, I've never ordered something I didn't like. And in the summer they have this great watermelon smoothie drink you HAVE to try, it's awesome. I have always loved this place since my first time trying their sushi. Their selection is great and they prepare it in such a great way that one flavor does not overpower the rest. Would suggest the Shogun and Jazz roll. Also cannot go wrong by starting with a dinosaur egg. Have their other offerings on the menu (a blend of multiple asian dishes) and have enjoyed them all but their sushi is my favorite. Some times the wait is a bit long but honestly when I go out to eat sushi I want it to be more of a relaxed experience and the quiet atmosphere lends to that.

Service was prompt but the sushi was horrible. Got the dragon, fancy salmon and rainbow rolls and would not recommend them to people that I didn’t like. The dragon was greasy and tasted like dish water as did the rainbow. The fancy salmon was pink, dry and tasted slightly like bacon paper. While the warm sake and a tall Kirin was good I won’t be returning.

I ordered the Sashimi bento which is $12.95. I was extremely disappointed to find that the portion was underwhelming, putting it lightly. I was given a small portion of ginger, the asian pears were yellow and limp. The rolls were alright though. However I would expect more for a dish priced at almost $13. The matcha bubble tea I ordered has a strong perfume taste which left me with an upset stomach. I'm sure there are good items on the menu, but I was disappointed by my experience today.

Had lunch here twice and enjoyed both times. First time I've tried bubble tea and it's quite the experience! You'll love the sweetness and be surprised at your fullness afterward. Had chef pick our sushi and were not disappointed. Also had rice and chicken, it was nicely done and did not taste oversalted like some similar restaurants.

Decent place for sushi, convenient location. I ordered the sashimi entree and beef negimaki for an app. The sashimi was pretty standard for the Midwest, but the negimaki was pretty bland. Needed to dip in soy sauce for some salt.

Service is spotty. Communication of allergies is poor. Some staff are engaging, but it is unpredictable. The rolls are pretty good, but they are not distinguished. Prices are reasonable. Tables have always been available.

We just tried Okinawa for the first time. The menu was huge! So many choices. All of us got sushi and were very happy with our rolls! They had a 3 for $12 lunch special so we all got 3 and split them. It was a really nice way to try multiple rolls at once. It wasn't very busy at all, maybe 4 or 5 tables with 3 servers working. The service was pretty slow and it was hard to get their attention when we needed drink refills, the checks, and boxes. But overall it was a great experience! I'd love to go back and try some of their non-sushi choices.

I have eaten at almost every single sushi place in Omaha. I've also eaten at many Sushi restaurants on the west coast (San Fran) and the beast coast (NYC). This place has really good deals and a great staff. If you go on Wed or Sat/Sun you will get extremely good fresh fish at a very reasonable price. This is not a fusion restaurant like Blue or some of the other high end places . If you ask for that they can accommodate you and there are some weird rolls on the large menu. But you should really go for the sashimi special or the chirashi bowl. Eric is my favorite sushi chef but all of them do a good a job. Happy hour is a great deal too. This place is my go to for sushi, even though I occasionally go to other fancier places. I'm never disappointed with the value here, it's straight up good food at good prices.

The food here is great and the prices phenomenal... but the service sucks. It sucks so bad. Every time we go it's like we're lepers or something. We hate the service. Totally worth getting pick up but when it's cold out, sometimes it isn't hot when we get it home so... it sucks that eating in isn't a real viable option unless we want to be ignored or forgotten.

Delicious food, very cozy atmosphere, super attentive staff. I ordered from the Chinese menu but I will try the sushi next time. The complementary miso soup is amazing. We also tried the "bubble tea" its interesting but delicious. To top it off they also deliver with grubhub I believe.

The staff was great, very friendly. The taiwanese sausage is just hot dogs with flavor on a stick. You get 2 for the price you pay it was appalling. Then the popcorn chicken wasn't worth the cost either. The other 3 dishes were ok, not bad but definitely not great. We will stick to our normal place from now on.

Decided to try Okinawa because they had such a large selection in their online menu and it was well rated. Arrived at 6:30 on a November Saturday night and noticed that it wasn't very busy (rainy night). Order Pork Dumplings, Las Vegas Roll, Nebraska Roll & Spicy Tuna Roll. PHENOMENAL! Food was delicious & service was very nice. We will definitely be back.
