This place is phenomenal in the taste & appearance of food! Jennifer was an excellent waitress! The manager made an exceptional, Italian Margarita! The ambience of the place was relaxing. Definitely, worth going back.

Very nice restaurant that has been around for years, yet I’ve never been. Service was superb and food was great. Had the moscato which was perfect. The bread was so good with the oil, garlic and cheese and Maria’s combo was excellent. Bummed that I couldn’t take my leftovers because we had somewhere to go after. We will be back!

Good food and superb service with decent sized servings. Had the baked lasagna; it was good but a bit overcooked, not enough to bother complaining about though. Should look into getting some Italian liquor like Vecchia Romagna. I'm not into wine so I had to drink water and soda.

Wonderful entree! Had to make sure I didn't eat too much bread with the olive oil and parmesan so I could eat even a quarter of my serving! Absolutely great. I haven't been there in a while, but would like to come back soon.

The dishes are big portions so don’t fill up on bread and appetizers. I don’t think the pasta is worth the price but the atmosphere is great. Recommend the pesto tortellini and the mussels shared between two.

Amazing food and a wonderful staff. Amelia, our server, was Incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and made the experience an absolute joy. I'd highly recommend to anyone to enjoy a meal here. From out of town and wanted to have Italian for dinner. Service was great!! Very attentive, friendly and helpful. Got full just from the bread, appetizer, and soup. Ordered the carbonara which was tasty, but I wish it had a little more sauce!

Very nice atmosphere for a fancy dinner with family or on a date. Meals can be pricey but you pay for the atmopshere as well as big portion sizes. Specials are usually some of the best food on the menu so I recommend getting those when offered.

We were just on a road trip. We are from chicago, il. My husband wanted to see an old train called the big boy. I found this restaurant looking for a restaurant. I loved the photos. It was a little hard to find, but omg it was worth it. The staff, atmosphere, the food. It was awesome.

My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for close to 30 years. The food is so good. Unfortunately, we won’t be back. For at least the last 6-7 times we have come by the restaurant they have sat us by what I’ll call ‘The Bathroom Table’. Granted, we had a party of 6 plus a baby so I understand that those are harder to sit. But for whatever reason the restaurant has positioned a larger capacity table directly in front of the women’s restroom. After the first couple of times being sat there and the constant flow of people walking by to use the facilities and being knocked by said people, I was done. So every time we have come since I have refused that table. And yes, EVERY single time that’s where they have tried to sit us. It’s really unbelievable! I only go out to this place as a very special treat because when you do have a larger group and you’re the one paying the bill it’s very expensive and I am by no means wealthy. So when my husband saw that was where they were going to sit us ONCE AGAIN, he went to the hostess (granddaughter of owner, I’m guessing) and asked to be sat at a different table. She immediately took an attitude, gave him a look and was completely rude and snarky telling him in so many words that ‘we will just have to wait then’. Which we understood and were fine with. So long as I didn’t have to sit there again. When he walked back to our group you could see the shock on his face at having been treated that way. Because we didn’t want to sit in front of the restroom?? After a few moments he was worried that the hostess thought we had just left so he went back up to the counter to wait so she could see our group was still there. A short while later she led us to the second worse table back by the kitchen. Once again full of attitude and rude. I knew it wasn’t great but better than the bathroom table at least and I just wanted to have a good experience with my family that I don’t get to see a lot of and some great food. We sat down and the waitress came over to take our drink order. In the space of about 5 minutes I was knocked, my son-in-law was knocked as was the high chair my grandchild was in. That was it for me. It almost felt like we were sat there as punishment to I guess ‘show us’ for not wanting to sit in front of the bathroom. So we got up and walked out. On my way out I stopped at the counter to let them know how disappointed we were for being treated so rudely by the hostess and to finally say something to them about the ‘bathroom table’. I mean, who DOES that? Puts a table in front of a restroom? The owner was there and she heard me out and was very gracious but the hostess immediately copped more attitude and lied about being rude and snarky, putting her arm around her grandma and giving us a look like hey there’s nothing you can do cuz I’m related to the owner. Her excuse for being rude? Because my husband went up and stood at the counter and looked at her.....There’s just too many other great places out there to experience than try to be loyal to a place that feels so secure in itself as to treat patrons like something on the bottom of a shoe. Ciao Lo Sole Mio’s. I will miss you.

If you want a kind of old school italian american kind of menu, this is your place. My opinion: It tastes like every other basic italian restaurant. If you're wanting that comfort food, here it is. But if you're searching for something fresher and creative, look elsewhere.

Jen was our server & we had great service. My Grandson got the meatball sandwich, it was pretty good. My daughter & I both got the tortellini with mushrooms & peas in a white sauce... The white sauce was really bland, neither one of us liked the sauce but the tortellini itself was pretty good. You get small warm rolls with a side of softened garlic cloves (whole) and a side of tomato brushetta to eat while waiting for your entree .. Even though we weren't in love with the white sauce I would still go back & try something else because overall it was a good experience.

My best friend had her wedding reception here at their banquet hall 13 years ago and we went to the actual restaurant and it was amazing. Best Italian food ever! I could eat there 2 or 3 times a week and we were there for lunch and dinner is even better. Everything we ordered was perfect. Great server too.

This is always our go to restaurant for birthdays, anniversary’s and when family comes in from out of town. Large portions of food so everyone goes home with another meal for the next day. Lots of choices... we love the seafood dishes, bread with sauted garlic. Because the restaurant is so busy it is sometimes very loud there early in the evening. After 8:30 the noise level is much better.

This is one of our favorite restaurants and has been for many years. My favorite is the eggplant parmesan, which I know doesn't appeal to a lot of people, but they truly do it right here. The pasta and the sandwiches are just superb. We always think that we will try the pizza but we never have. The bread with tomato topping, oil, herbs and roasted garlic is so good that it would be lunch if I were serving it at home. Portions are huge so diners should be prepared to share or to take some home.

I was in town on business and had this place recommended and it was better than I could have imagined! Everything was cooked perfect. My coworkers and I came back during the same trip to try things we saw but could not try the first visit. Can't wait to return on my next trip to Omaha!

The Antipasto was great, the veal piccata was well prepared, and we topped it off with cannoli that wae exquisite. Meg was the best server making sure all our needs were met. Had the Veal Marsala as did coworker. It was salty. The carrots were crazy sweet (too sweet). Soup also salty. Ambience was great. Obviously knocked 1 star off for too much salt/sugar.

The place is amazing if you want to go to some nice Italian restaurant in town. This is a recommended place in visit omaha; I followed the recommendation. I liked their complimentary bread which is different than other Italian restaurants with garlic bread. They give nugget shaped normal Italian bread with oven roasted garlic on the side and some minced tomatoes as complimentary. Food tasted great and was amazing. The server were hospitable.
