We love eating at Franklin's because it a place where the food is excellent no matter what you order and the service i personal with the service providers treat you as if they have known you forever. For the first time in my life I walked out of a restaurant. When I arrived I informed the hostess I was alone when she seated me she put down Two menus. The waitress did come over right away to get my drink order however 20 min later she had not returned to my table to get my order or check on me. Many other costumers had come in and been waited on while I was ignored. I finally just walked out.

Went here about last year. I've worked in resturaunts my whole life they were extremely rude. My hamburger was rare and I asked if they could please cook it longer and they proceeded to tell me I was just trying to get free food.

Will not be back...Had to ask twice for water, waiter asked about wine refills, but only half of our group got a 2nd glass. Prime rib was only so so, lacked flavor. One person ordered chicken fettuccini, but there was no chicken. Other pasta orders were cold.

First, my only complaint: there's no room for one's legs under the bar, the edge of the bar is nearly flush causing one to need to lean over to eat. Despite that, the atmosphere and decor here is good, lighting is high but carries it well. Had a teriyaki sirloin special, and it is easily the best steak I've had thus far in Norfolk. Side and salad were also very good as well. 6 beers on tap, and 5 of them "good," with Bud light being the only exception. Full bar as well with excellent service. Definitely recommend.

I love this place. They have the best philly cheesesteak in town! Super juicy and delicious! Their other food is really good too! Great waitstaff. I've never had issues with their waitstaff and their service has always been top notch. I order their take out every once in a while and it's always as good as it is in restaurant.
