This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch or happy hour. They have great burgers, the absolute BEST fries in Omaha, and a great drink selection! Their BBQ sauce is a yellow sauce, first place I've ever seen that, and it's delicious. Solid deals for happy hour, and awesome desserts if you have a sweet tooth. The service here is also great every time. All the servers care and do a great job, but Shawnly in particular is the best. Last time, I walked in the door and said, "I'm pregnant and nauseous, and I need some fries." He said, "Say no more," and not 5 minutes later they walked out a large, piping hot fry to us at the bar, before we'd even been seated! It's little things like that, going way above and beyond that make for a wonderful eating experience. We will be regulars here for as long as this restaurant is open!

I thought it was okay. They put basil on the fries, which I thought was awful, but my 6 year old picky eater loved, oddly. They have great toys for kids to play with, which was good because it took 25 minutes to get.our burgers on a slow day.

Great burger spot! I came here on a date last Wednesday and it was wonderful. We had excellent service despite the restaurant being packed, our drinks arrived promptly and our food was out quickly as well. We tried the corn fritters appetizer and they were delicious fried dough speckled with corn and spices throughout. We both opted for a burger trio to try multiple burgers (3 slider sized burgers for about $11). I tried the beer cheese burger, the bacon ranch burger as well as the French dip burger. The beer cheese burger was amazing, a delicious burger patty smothered in beer cheese, fried onion straws and topped with a tomato slice. The French dip was a burger I'll definitely go back for, it was a burger patty topped with Swiss cheese and carmelized onions and it came with au juus dipping sauce. We got fries on the side to share and they were excellent. They came with a garlic aoli sauce that was so incredibly delicious. We also ordered some cheese curds that were just ok. I'll definitely be back. I for sure want to hit up happy hour to take advantage of some of the great specials!

Stopped in to Charred Burger + Bar on Sunday evening. Wasn't too busy but the place was half full with a few on the patio. We got seated quickly and promptly greeted by our server. I ordered the slider trio and wasn't disappointed one bit. All three of my choices were really good. The fries were about par for the course at a burger joint. The staff was fine. Our server wasn't extremely interactive, but she did her job just fine. If you're out and about and thinking about a burger, it's worth a try. I may not go out of my way to go back, but I would go again if the circumstances warrant.

The goal for food for Sunday was to find somewhere new to eat. I hadn’t eaten at Charred before. It was very good! Before you visit, you should know the burgers are solo individually, but sides aren’t too expensive. It’s a fair price for good food.

Just ate here on a whim. Germaine worked his tailfeathers off trying to help customers while up to six servers clustered around the bar! Food was great! In there for a burger and beer but it was close to 2 hours! Go for the food but demand service!

Came in for lunch and sat at the bar. The restaurant was very busy and it took a while until I was acknowledged. Once my presence was acknowledged, the staff did a tremendous job making my experience a pleasurable one. While sitting at the bar and eating, I met three people who were also fans of the establishment. The three of us sat there and talked until the lunch rush was over and all tables were empty. This was my first time at your restaurant, and I left extremely impressed. The burgers aren’t cheap but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I will be back and I have told all my friends, family and business associates. BEST BURGER IN TOWN! Taste and quality of Food-A+ / Atmosphere- A+/ Customer service-A+

So this restaurant is trendy and hip... almost to a fault. Have ordered my burger here medium no less than 5 times only for it to come out well done every time. The whole speciality beef idea here is lost on over cooking. Not only that while it is cute that they serve drinks in Mason jars it would be better to have glasses due to their price point.

Charred Burger delivers a solid bar and grill experience. They have a variety of burgers to order with varieties of toppings. They also have a great beer selection - something I'm always fond off! You can tell the staff care about the service as well. Whether it is lunch, dinner, or happy hour, Charred Burger is worth checking out.

An efficeeffic run operation! Great burger (piping hot), and while there was absolutely no rush from the staff for us to leave, they quickly cleared dirty plates off the table. With high ceilings the place can get loud when all tables are in use, but a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff are a welcomed change! Great food. A must for any burger lover. Try their "Pint & a Pound"

This is a place I'd like to visit again. Wide selection of burgers and sides more than large enough to share. I ordered the namesake burger and enjoyed it but i felt the toppings overwhelmed the flavor of the burger a bit. The rings and fries are both very good; either one being a great option to finish out one's lunch.

Amazing burger place and awesome burgers But why do you open a bar with bartenders doesn't know how to create drinks !! They may be cute but that doesn't serve the purpose when you decided to have a quick drink. I requested Manhattan and I got straight up liquor not even on the ice...I chugged it like a shot....I will still recommend people to come here for just the burger... those patties were succulent when when I took it home....if those slides are so good I can imagine how much I will love the whole burger...just lose the bar....

I was expecting this to be a stuffy "gourmet" version of a Burger Joint. They proved me wrong! Burgers were cheaper than expected. There variety is solid, as far as within Burgers ect. I tried a trio of sliders to get a variety. The sandwiches are a la cart, but I didn't find the sides necessary. Crisp toasted bun. Fresh ingredients. Only only deduction was a burger place running out of buns and closing early, which I would assume isn't common.

I ordered a bacon & bleu burger. The bleu was not very sharp, which is generally what a connoisseur of bleu cheese would expect and prefer. The lemonade was too sweet as well. The staff were polite though, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Food was tasty, nice atmosphere with fun ways to serve your food with character but the service was a little off. We got seated almost immediately but our waiter seemed to forget about us after taking our drink order. The staff was very friendly but our waiter possibly needed to be more aware of the service. I'm interested in giving it another try though.

I came here for lunch and did a take out dinner. Both times I ordered the Wildfire burger and it's probably one of the greatest hamburgers I've ever tasted. The meat is perfect, juicy not greasy. The bun is fantastic....even with my to go order, it did not get soggy. The burger is bursting with flavor. My favorite part by far is the habanero relish. It offers the perfect kick but only if you love spicy food. Fries were nice and crispy too. Anytime I want a great burger, this place is on my shortlist!

Tried this place a few weeks ago on a Sunday for lunch. Sat out on the patio to enjoy the beautiful day. Ordered the Trio and fries. All 3 mini burgers were really juicy and the flavors of each were separate but unique and wonderful. The Wagyu Beef is very good in these burgers. I will be back and telling others.

It was good. The burgers are fantastic. The fries are awesome. Limited selection on beer but what they have should get you through dinner. (If you are in to tap house beer) When we were there the place was not busy but the staffed seemed a little over tasked. They were polite. Guessing something was going on that we were not aware of causing some confusion on who was waiting what table. Sat on the bench. I mention this only because it was sticky as if it had not been cleaned in awhile. Table was slightly tacky to the touch. Small things but keeping me from going 5 stars. Will give them another shot.

Really enjoyed the whole experience. Their fried pickles have the perfect balance of crunch and crisp. The burgers are charred, but still juicy. Wings have the right amount of crisp. And to top it all off, the service, which can be a hit or miss most places depending on the place and server, but the service from the entire staff is amazing (Emily was our server, she deserves a shout out.). We will definitely return, and bring friends.

Wagyu beef burgers at a cost comparable to 5 guys. But way better. Entire menu is a reasonable cost. I am DEFINITELY coming back. The Charred Burger was amazing! Brioche buns are the best. Gluten free bun available for an extra $1.50. Haystack fries are awesome. They are tossed so all the toppings are evenly distributed throughout. Charred sets the bar. Hands down best burger I've ever had.

Charred is a mixed bag. The burgers are very good, and the fries are outstanding. Burgers are flavorful, juicy, and well balanced between meat, bun, and toppings. Fries are soft, but the flavor on its own is enough to make you come back. Okay beer selection; kind of chain-standard with a couple extras. The food is 4 stars, and the beer selection 2 stars. The atmosphere is a solid 2 stars as well. Loud music, TVs everywhere, and the patrons are your standard suburbanites -- tables of young high school guys whose parents are letting them go out "but not too far, Timmy"; tables with the late-middle-age, post-kids set (the ones who stare at the TV with nothing to say to each other); tables with middle-aged parents getting away for a few hours. In other words, this place is far from cool. The food, though, is great, so you can go for the food and stay for that second beer while people watching the middle Americans. Because Charred is the clarion call to middle America -- burgers, Budweiser, and ballgames.

Was surprised at how much I liked the food here. Not a very big place, booths are limited. Serving trays are not fancy. But the burgers were good. I got the jalepeno popper, my bf got the sliders. Fries were amazing! Our server was friendly and prompt with drink refills. The brownie a la mode was decadent. We will definitely be back as we already have our next burgers picked out lol.

Charred is one of my favorite places to go for lunch. The burgers are large enough that you don’t need sides. The appetizers could be a meal in themselves, too. I’ve never had a bad staff experience here and the beer is always cold. I give it 4 stars because the inside facility itself is very loud and echoey. It’s hard to hear in there. If it’s busy, don’t try to have an intimate conversation. If you can be loud, you should be fine!

We had some of the worst service in Omaha here. 10 minutes before our server acknowledged us and took our drink order. Than after getting our food he disappeared until he brought our check. No drink refills or checking in. Worst part is I ordered the spiciest thing on the menu and nothing to drink. The food was very good. It is just hard to enjoy with that service. No sign of a front of house manager either so no one to even ask for help.

This is my new favorite burger place! The staff is friendly, the ambiance is really laid back, and the food was amazing. I got onion rings, which I'm really picky about, and the Caprese burger (the special of the day). It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Our waiter was awesome too, and had some realyy good recommendations since it was our first time there. I will definitely be going back.

From out of town, looking for a good burger and Charred Burger came up with my search. It did not disappoint. I couldn't decide which burger I wanted to have and they made it easy. Try 3 with their slider sampler. Burgers were juicy and delightful...paired with a side of fries or cheese curds and you'll be set. Jermaine was a great, entertaining waiter. Sit in his section for a complete experience!

Good burger and I had a side of cheese curds. The burger was juicy and very good to eat. The cheese curds had salt on them but with out that they were very good. The atmosphere is tight especially if they are busy. The server was a nice guy and did a good job bouncing and handling a bunch of tables. I’ll have to visit again when they are less busy.

We love this place. My husband and I have been going here at least once a week. Every burger I have had has been awesome. Their fries are the best and the dipping sauces are amazing. First restaurant I have ever been to that I did not have to use ketchup. They also have a nice selection of beer. Candace is our favorite server there. We love her. Unfortunately we have missed her the couple times we have been in. If you are looking for the best burger....this is it!

Went in for dinner on a Friday evening around 6:30. Seated right away. Numerous employees (including servers) walked by our table and finally one stopped to take our drink order after 10 minutes of waiting. Started out with the loaded haystack fries, which come with bacon, tomatoes, jalapenos, green onions, and smothered in beer cheese soup made with local Brickway beer. The flavor was decent, but the texture was a miss - The beer cheese congealed on the fries, giving them a gummy, almost plastic-like texture. We didn't finish them. For the entree, I had the Jalapeno Popper burger with a side of habanero relish. Burger was ok, but underwhelming. Most of the flavor came from the cream cheese (there's a lot of it) and the roasted jalapenos. In spite of using higher end wagyu beef, I couldn't taste much of a difference; The burger itself didn't taste like it was seasoned well and was slightly overcooked. Again, most of the flavor came from the toppings, not the meat. Another item to note - Our server, while friendly, wasn't very attentive. Our glasses of water didn't receive a refill until we were almost finished with our meal. Overall, the food at Charred is somewhere middle of the road. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't that great either. Couple that with the misses on the service side, the next time I'm in the mood for a burger, I'll be going somewhere else.
